7301  Economy / Reputation / Re: REQUEST FOR ATTENTION OF: All 1xbit Signature Campaign Participants on: July 03, 2021, 08:35:50 PM
Honestly, I don't see so much spam coming from people with 1xbit signatures and even if I don't agree with how 1xbit runs things in general, you can't and should not stop them for having paid campaigns in forum.
This is free market and free speech, everyone here knows they are risky and members participating are also taking risks, but I won't tag anyone for joining this campaign,
and better solution would be just to ignore them and don't give them so much attention.
We really really don't need more 1xbit topics in forum.
7302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Viewing advertisements and getting paid with Ethereum on: July 03, 2021, 08:24:01 PM
One of my friends are sharing a Telegram link which calls themselves as ETH Ads. They say that you get paid for each ads, and there's a referral system. This pricked my ears and I have a hunch that this is a Pyramiding scheme although my friend says that there's no need to invest some money out of it. My question is whether it is legitimate or not?
Clicking on anything shared on Telegram or replying to pm from unknown people can be very risky, or people are just sharing ref links, but I never heard anything about earning ethereum for watching ads.
I do know about a way for earning some altcoins for watching videos on odysee.com, and you can't get rich that way but it probably pays more than watching some boring ads.
Best way to earn Bitcoin and other coins is to offer your services and get paid in crypto, not just in fiat currencies.
7303  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cruise Ship holidays at fantastic prices (Bitcoin, crypto or USD) on: July 03, 2021, 08:05:58 PM
What coins are you exactly accepting as payment and is there any page where people can read about it on your website?
All I can see is that you accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express on the bottom of the page, and it's the same on pricing page, no mention of Bitcoin and crypto.
Not to mention that paying for any cruises in this crazy dystopian times is very risky and can be easily canceled.
7304  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: July 03, 2021, 06:52:16 PM
https://twitter.com/dcfgod/status/1410985736715767817

7305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Looking for advice on a full node on: July 02, 2021, 01:35:24 PM
I read that it's not as secure because for example updates aren't signed, although I don't know if that's also the case with the other nodes
You can verify any update yourself because everything is open source and posted on their github page:

7306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Soros is now officially trading bitcoin. Good or bad? on: July 02, 2021, 12:59:02 PM
Money is control. Our world is run on money.
Money is just a paper or number on the screen, and this can all be gone in second in some financial collapse, like in Lebanon now for example.
Money is not really control because money is controlled by only few individuals and corporations.

Therefore off course its important. Otherwise, we would see less millionaires/billionaires tax evading. So, claiming money not being important past a certain point, I would disagree.
You don't have to agree with me, but read and investigate how many countries Soros destroyed, and he is just using money as one of his tools for destruction and control of the people.
7307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article: The Craig Wright May 2016 Signing Sessions Debacle, In Full Context on: July 02, 2021, 12:46:47 PM
I am honestly sick of reading so much news about this and anything connected with this evil slime  Tongue
We all know that Craig Faketoshi never proved that he owns that bitcoin address and he never signed a message, so he isn't Satoshi Nakamoto, but problem is that some corrupt judge can make a wrong decision.
They don't know anything about Bitcoin and signing of messages, they don't want to learn about it and maybe someone has interest to crown Faketoshi, for whatever notorious reasons they have.
One thing is sure, he will never be accepted by Bitcoin community.
7308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any miner who have not sold any bitcoin from the beginning? on: July 02, 2021, 12:28:50 PM
Lot of Bitcoins never moved for years from their original addresses so they can be considered early miners who never sold Bitcoin, and Satoshi is also one of them.
Around 4 million Bitcoins didn't move for years, they are now probably lost, and I would guess that many of this coins are coming directly from mining but I can't prove that.
7309  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Couldn't the Govt/banks put pressure on exchanges to deplatform people ? on: July 02, 2021, 11:11:34 AM
Can't the Govt/corporations just get creative and pressure exchanges to deplatform people ?
Sure, they can do anything they want including banning people from any exchange in same way like some people are banned from owning bank accounts.
Big corporations are even more dangerous than governments because they can bribe and pay politicians to do their dirty jobs.

Sure, you have a wallet, and can buy and receive BTC, but you can't legally buy it.
There are some states with better regulations like Florida and maybe you should move away from NY and do some P2P trading when you want to buy Bitcoin.

Sure, you could get a VPN & use another exchange but this comes with it's own risks, and is too much trouble for the average Joe.
Using VPN with Coinbase is very risky and they will probably detect you are using it and ban your account, so I would avoid doing that.

7311  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: July 02, 2021, 10:52:05 AM
Anyone got any experience to share with this?
Sealed envelope left for your family members with simple instructions on how to recover and use Bitcoin would be the best option, but I believe that some basic education is needed even before, so that people could understand importance of Bitcoin and private keys.
That is easier said than done, and I realized that many people are often just not willing to listen and learn anything, at least that is my experience so far.
7312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Looking for advice on a full node on: July 02, 2021, 10:42:40 AM
Does anyone recommend either of these projects or know of other projects that I should consider and why? So far I'm most interested in myNode and Raspiblitz. I know Umbrel is easy but I heard the security isn't the best.
Umbrel is probably one of the easiest option for setting up Bitcoin node I ever saw, everything is open source and Lightning Network is fully supported, but you won't do anything wrong if you choose something else like myNode or Raspiblitz.
7313  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Trezor Suite Update on: July 02, 2021, 10:38:06 AM
Nothing new in this release of Trezor Suite, and I think that RBF feature was introduced in earlier versions and it's now improved, but I noticed that BETA is gone from bottom right corner in the app.
This is still not a main release, and that is scheduled later for this month.

The former seems to imply that Trezor Suite will be the only way to use your device... or were they attempting to say, somewhat poorly, that they're trying to make Trezor Suite a "one stop shop" where you can do everything (buy/sell/trade/send/receive etc) if you want? Huh
They said coins and that means Trezor Suite will manage bunch of altcoins they support, so you can still use Electrum wallet for Bitcoin, but it's true that Trezor have third party option for buying and selling crypto if you like to pay extra fees for that.

7314  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / [LISTA] Ubrzajte i emitirajte Bitcoin transakcije on: July 02, 2021, 10:28:43 AM

- ViaBTC broadcast (besplatno)
- ViaBTC transaction Accelerator (dostupna opcija plaćanja)
- BTC.com transaction Accelerator (dostupna opcija plaćanja)
- BtcNitro Accelerator (besplatno)
- Bitaccelerate (besplatno)
- Blockchair explorer Broadcast (besplatno)
- Blockstream explorer Broadcast (besplatno)
- Blockcypher explorer Broadcast (besplatno)
- Coins.in Broadcast (besplatno)
- Mocacinno tx pusher (besplatno)
- 360 Bitcoin Accelerator (dostupna opcija donacija)

Možete dopuniti listu ako sam ja nešto propustio.

7315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Test for free our new futures exchange, and get paid bitcoin! on: July 02, 2021, 09:56:34 AM
I've never seen a service that preemptively crashes when something goes wrong. I could imagine shutting it down, but crashing doesn't seem right as a solution.
I can imagine scenario when you could profit a lot with your trade but ''conveniently'' website crashes and you don't earn anything.
This is not so hard to imagine because I think that both Bitmex and Binance had this ''glitches'' before.

Nice to see you noticed our changes, we are trying to make improve the user experience! If there is anything that you don't like, please let us know. Also, if you think you made a better panel by resizing and changing the order of the components, please share an image here with us!
I just returned interface to it's original state but I think it's better to remove deposit and withdrawal box and move it to top menu.
Balance could also be seen on top or tab instead of using the box, but you could make this change optional and users can choose what they like more.

Please check our new features: we now have notifications icons on the Orders, Trades and Positions tabs. So for instance, whenever you make a new trade you will see a notification for the trade and the update in your position.
Yeah I noticed notifications and other updates and it works fine so far.
7316  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mining tax in Kazakhstan on: July 01, 2021, 06:08:23 PM
This is still a lot lower than taxes would be charged in United States or other western countries, and Kazakhstan have much cheaper electricity than rest of the world including China.

Kazakhstan government probably wants to earn some extra profits and that is fine if they can provide stable flow of electricity for miners, but I would not be surprised to see this tax being increased later.
7317  Economy / Economics / Re: (HELP) - Which are the most friendly countries for a crypto startup? on: July 01, 2021, 04:17:16 PM
Imagine someone who is selling social media accounts asking people in bitcointalk forum where to invest 1-3 million dollars, this sounds so fake  Roll Eyes
Better do your own investigation instead of asking random people to find solution for you, and I think that there is no country who would support one more ''utility token'', but you can start something with Bitcoin almost everywhere.
7318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency payment processor for TRC20 on: July 01, 2021, 04:04:49 PM
I have no idea why someone would accept trc20 tokens, except maybe to save on fees sometimes, but however you can check out several payment processors that accept them like NowPayments:
https://nowpayments.io/

As far as I know there is no clone of BTCPayServer for tron, but here is the list of most Payment Gateways that accept Tron so maybe they accept their trc20 tokens also:

7319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The recent house hearing concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on: July 01, 2021, 03:50:16 PM
I won't listen all two hours of this hearing but it seems that politicians are generally divided with ones that hate bitcoin and others that invested in Bitcoin or they are sponsored by someone.
They are especially concerned about DEX exchanges and they are talking about banning all exchanges that are not registered and regulated, so we can probably expect more strict regulations in near future.
It may be interesting for people to read Committee Memorandum if they don't want to watch it all:

7320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First Bank In Mexico Is About to Start Accepting Bitcoin on: July 01, 2021, 03:38:09 PM
Day after Ricardo Salinas Pliego announced that his bank will become the first bank in Mexico to accept Bitcoin, government o Mexico released a news that this will not happen and that Bitcoin is not allowed in Mexico but only their national currency Pezos.
Many governments are afraid of Bitcoin and they can ban it in Mexico but this will not stop people from using it, and people in Mexico are not so obedient like in other countries.
We may even see separate regions in Mexico having some kind of independence and people joining forces to create their own financial system that can include Bitcoin and crypto.
