7301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: January 18, 2017, 12:09:32 AM
When quantum computers come out new blockchain tech will follow including bitcoins replacement.
At least the current wallet already provides the quantum resistance. I'd like to call the quantum computer it seems like a delusional.
7302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 17, 2017, 11:49:49 PM
I am from Montenegro. Here, very small number of people heard about Bitcoins. We dont have forums, chats  where we can talk about this subject. Also we dont have ATM...
I hope that will change soon.

Most countries don't have their local forums who talk about bitcoin, except the local board in this forum... If this is a forum about bitcoin in your country, probably it's a secret or if not, it's not famous... But about chat, I don't think that there is none... For sure there is a local group in facebook situated in your area that is talking about it... Just keep on searchng, who knows...

ATM's are not present in most countries, but exchanges are still good and could still meet your needs when it comes to cashing out your bitcoin to fiat...  Smiley

You can do your research to get a clear conclusion. Most of them are no secret places. They are friendly for everyone is wanna joining in his place.
Nope, ATM for cashing out our bitcoin for directly to the Fiat money. and exchange isn't.
7303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: January 17, 2017, 11:37:08 PM
Realistically speaking, how many people would cheat and steal from their local grocery store by exploiting double spending?
You must realize if the system has applied in bitcoin already preventing the double spending.
Because I don't think it will be that much of a problem at all. There is impossible to collect data about double spending done in brick and mortar shops, unfortunately.
At least we are too far from the double spending with applying some confirmation in our transaction.
7304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: want to build altcoin with walletbuilder, any idea? on: January 17, 2017, 08:14:50 AM
Is wallet builder easy to use ? Why do you guys say people should not use it ? Is it mostly used by scammers ?
I see many clone coins and scams around so it pays to be extra careful. If coin builder doesnt build trust maybe it is better not to use it ?

From a technical standpoint, walletbuilders and similar "auto coin creation" services use severely outdated coin source code that has known bugs & security holes. They don't update to patch these things because people continue to pay them for what they currently offer.

At least OP is wanna make a shit coin and before it will be getting launch and the coin already got hacked.

OP, what's your motivation to make a coin? it seems like there no anything in your mind. Just see coin marketcap and grab more. at least all of them already get launch.
7305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland and cryptocurrency on: January 17, 2017, 08:04:28 AM
Do you trust the home of banking to be the new home of cryptocurrency?
No, i don't.
Is this be a good thing for the future of cryptocurrency or will this just ensure that the banking system continues to control currency?
It's not good, How you can give a free money to the bank and let them control it? Almost the hyperledger can be an evidence for that.
Your privacy has held by the government again.

7306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DAR] Darcrus | Blockchain Database Startup - Enterprise, Everywhere on: January 17, 2017, 12:47:49 AM
can i transfer DAR from wallet.mynxt.info direct to bittrex?
Yes, you can but it's very complicated and I'm having the same problem with you. just wait about the complex answer.  Undecided

7307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preferring the technology not the coin on: January 17, 2017, 12:06:52 AM
Bank it's about blockchain and not for bitcoin, remember it can increasing his effectivity and their production. If all of the systems will be running with the blockchain basic structure and it will cut a lot of costs.
The blockchain massive adoption by the financial institution will be coming soon.
7308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: January 16, 2017, 11:57:14 PM
A minutes ago an idea came to my mind and I hope it will not be wrong.

Most of the people say that buying with bitcoins at local shops will be bothering as they will have to wait for longer at the local shop for the confirmation of their payment in bitcoin to the shop/store. But one thing is in my mind that if a person pay a suitable miner fee for a transaction then that transaction cannot be cancelled. So if a person will pay in front of the shopkeeper and the shopkeeper will know that the person have paid a suitable fees then he will provide the good at zero confirmation (without waiting for any confirmation).

What do you think about that idea?

A big chance about the double spending will happen, at least if the seller was accepting a confirmation and he still goes to get a chance about the double spending.

read the hypothesis.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36788.msg463391#msg463391

Putting the higher fees is not the excellent way. You weren't thinking if the spam transaction will be happening?
7309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: January 16, 2017, 11:52:07 PM
I am not sure about how it works but what aboutnif a double spend happens ?
I habe only heard of double spending I dont know how its done.
Read this. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Double-spending

The confirmation or validation method was resolving it.
7310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 16, 2017, 01:38:20 PM
662k buy wall reached, lets wait and see

Buywall is gone? Will it be back? Maybe higher?

the whale removes the barrier, daytraders start selling cuz they think they ll buy lower, but the whale is just buying everything in the high 3+s low 4's...thats what i think, could be wrong Smiley

It's the manipulating of price, the whale just lures the person to selling his coin in the panic condition. A lot were getting trapped by whale. They were selling it below 0.00039 and honestly how many people had lost a lot of money on this day.  Cheesy

7312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To make own crypto currency on: January 16, 2017, 07:15:10 AM
Since some times ago, I'm very interest with some project make a new altcoin with owner application. I read on Github, but still don't understand about it, so who anyone can explain to me as simple as possible, so it'll easy to understanding. Because, I want to make another altcoin but this basic in use for daily activities, not just for make altcoin with many bullshit promise.
Try to learn C++, Python or the another computing language. and if you've understand about it and come back to here again. You've zero knowledge about the computing language and how you can make a good coin.  Cheesy
7313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 16, 2017, 06:48:11 AM

OMG!! the whale already starting to keep his ICN in cold storage, Are we following it? that's why a lot of the buy volume were disappearing.
7314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If LTC is faster than BTC, Why Don't We Use It? on: January 15, 2017, 11:34:05 PM
Transfered some BTC from Coinbase and it's taking about five hours to show up.  Would LTC
be a faster transfer?  I use a LTC wallet on my hard drive.
LTC was 5x faster comparing with the bitcoin transaction.
If LTC is faster than BTC, why don't we use it more?
The adoption has kept by bitcoin. alt just get a little portion.
7315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: January 15, 2017, 11:18:33 PM
In my opinion a lot of what comes from Bitcoin's ability and retention of the #1 cryptocurrency position is the community size and the people that use it to be honest.

If Bitcoin did not have all these other companies accepting it as a currency and all the users it does right now, chances are it would have been replaced by something by now.
The bitcoin had been getting his power from his history, Remember if bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency. all of the attention was getting centralizing into it.  all of the bitcoin's power were coming from their early adopter.
7316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: January 15, 2017, 11:05:49 PM
I think that bitcoin transactions are so fast. In simple banks transactions might be very slow.

In the past I would agree with you.
I usually needed just a few hours for bitcoin transaction confirmation and usually 2-3 working days for bank transaction.
Last weeks I usually waiting 1-2 working days for bitcoin transaction confirmation so, it seems, bitcoin is not any more faster than bank wire Smiley
I really hope it will change soon.

Oh is that true? Sorry I can't believe something like that. I would like to see your transaction id (txid). So I can see the transaction fees. If you send very low fees the most usual case is that after 72 hours coins would be back in your wallet. Last months blocks are almost full so if  you don't pay the fees unhappy miners they will not put your transaction into their blocks and you will not spend your coins or you will wait if you are lucky for hours.

Quote

Probably that because the traffic is really high. I am sure that will be fixed soon. Japan will realease 5g internet technology, probably it will help bitcoin transaction faster. Also I am sure that there are some developer who advance the hash rate of bitcoin to be faster.
Waiting for 1 -  2 days for bitcoin transaction is so rare, I usualy only wait in less than 15 minute.

There is nothing to do if cellular/mobile network is 3/4/5G. All are fees depended from transaction size and traffic in the network of nodes and some other factors like as whether spend from other outputs and if have already confirmed. That means some times of the day you will pay fewer sat/byte because of the network traffic
The other important thing if the spamming transaction will be deprioritizing your transaction although you were already put the highest fees. but I should be agreed with you for all, the delliaerd's answer is no sense.
7317  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: January 15, 2017, 10:52:27 PM

No company or country controll it, some guys has a lot of bitcoins, but at the end i and you controll it.

You were controlling the bitcoin, which mean just spending or acquiring it(your privacy) and that's not meaning anything for the bitcoin network. It's not about bitcoin but it's about the network of bitcoin.
So, your can't spend your bitcoin if someone else was controlling it.
refusing your validate.  Cheesy
7318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: January 15, 2017, 10:34:11 PM
Fast,

Oh really.? Didn't know that.

The thing is customer have to wait till the seller gets at least 1 confirmation. And that will take some time. So finding a way to make that fast is a riddle to solve.  Huh
Wrong, totally all of that isn't depending on the minimum confirmation, At least if the block can validate a lot of the transaction in one time and it will be faster to get your confirmation, the limit of confirmation just to avoid the double spend. It's like a legality of your transaction and the seller will receive your money. it was including on the blocksize debate. It will get solve soon if the core was interesting for doing a simple hardfork about increasing the blocksize.
But that's having risks.
7319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any altcoin overcome BTC? on: January 15, 2017, 02:06:55 PM
Bitcoin is revolution but i believe now it is not so perfect.
Yes, the blocksize debate was telling me something

POW is good but future is POS or maybe something completely new.
PoS is the future. it will be to be true soon.

Blockchain is too large and will continue to grow over time.
Hyperledger is an evidence.

Most miners are concentrated in China, wich is not good if we want Bitcoin to be money of the whole world.
Looks like a lot of manipulations.

So this, and many others problems  will be overcomed by new coins and projects, maybe not now and in few years,
but in future will be, for sure.
Honestly, there are some already offer a fixing feature of bitcoin. LTC are similarly with bitcoin, but bitcoin has stronger caused by his history.
7320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the benefit of starting a Coin without any ICO? on: January 15, 2017, 01:53:30 PM
All about money, in conclusion, the dev has some of the stock.  You can see Zcash, they were starting it without an ICO.

I don't think there are the teams were starting it caused by the pure hobby.  But too rarely to find that.
