I'm Interested in mining with my hardware at night, but I was wondering how would it influence the lifespan of my hardware I'm using a i5 4690
galax gtx 1060
and 16gb ram
I'm not botherd about the temps in my room since my room is always cooled anyways i'm just worried about my hardware itself
Before you do bitcoin mining, you need to find out first the answer to the question: Are you ready to risk your hardwares? Bitcoin mining will push your hardwares to its maximum limit and it will lessen the lifespan of your hardware like the GPU (If you will do gpu mining) and CPU (If you will do CPU mining) or it can be both. It is better if you just build a mining rig and do not use your personal computer. You need to look for the possible profits because it is not fixed because the rate of coins that you can mine are not stable on their prices. |

I think it is not possible to regulate bitcoins because it is fully decentralized and regulating bitcoin will be against for that features (Decentralization) and a lot of people will protest about it if ever it happens. In a country, if they want to regulate bitcoin then they can't do it directly to bitcoin and the only thing that they can do is, make a law or statement that their bitcoin countrymen users will obey.

Apologies if this has been asked but what do people think is most effective way to earn more BTC? Mining, Trading, or investing in alt coin?
It depends what you mean by effective, but if you mean the method that can give you the most bitcoin, that is without a doubt investing in altcoins, if you do that you can easily make several times your investment in just a few months and by doing that and exchanging your money in bitcoin you can multiply your bitcoins many times over. It is more worth it to trade altcoins rather than investing to it because it will not help you and not assure you that it will give you a lot of money in the future but if you will trade and take advantage of the volatility of the altcoins then you can easily make money with it and get more money in trading and can grow your bitcoins up to x2 in a shorter period of time rather than investing it for long term without assurance. |

If you want to create a good bitcoin wallet then use blockchain.info web wallet because they are wallet inside the blockchain site and they are easy to use and very good wallet to have and you can also download their application from App store or Play store which is very user friendly and newbie friendly so you don't need to worry about being familiar in bitcoin.

The only countries that i know that already accepted bitcoin are Japan, India, Australia and South Korea. Those are the countries that i know that already accepted bitcoin or fully legalized it into their country and accept it as a currency. I think that those countries are really having good time with bitcoin because of the new income and also potential economic development if bitcoin will become a successful adoption.

Bitcoin is like an investment. You keep it expecting higher returns in the future. Of course once in a while I'll have some online fun with a few coins.
You are right mate, bitcoin is for investment more than for fun, so collecting bitcoin and keep it in your wallet is the best strategy to get a higher returns in the future. So basically i save bitcoin for future prupose, and one day, bitcoin can help me in case of emergency or anything that i need without any warning. I didn't say that i keep my all weekly income in my wallet, Just i don't touch a high percent of my profit around 80% and the rest i can use it to buy somthing in the internet or paying some bills etc.. We should treat bitcoin as an emergency fund and also retirement fund at the same time because it will help us after a few years because we can possibly gain a lot of money that can be use on the things that we want. We can also sell bitcoin anytime and get the money or fiat from it anytime we want and that is why bitcoin is so reliable and also a great long term investment. |

Bitcoin is the most stable coin, but the easy road to reach at the moment is altcoin, atleat i do believe i will be able to reach something i never thinked i would reach without the altcoin, with those investment im able to reach my goal at bitcoin and maybe cross it.
I agree with you, altcoin is one of the closes way to get rich in an instant way because they are more volatile than bitcoin and the price of altcoins are cheaper than bitcoin so it is very easy to other people to manipulate it and make money with it without having a lot of problems because if they have knowledge about altcoins then they can easily make money. |

I think im going to take the risk of buying as much as i can before that date. Anyways if btc solit would really goin to happen, it could recover specially now that more and more stablishments are acknowledging the use of btc in their transactions.
That is what a good investor should think, just take the risks and don't mind the possible losses because in long term we will recover those paper losses or temporary losses and we can earn or get doubled amount of our current loss right now because the loss is not permanent because there is always a rainbow after a very heavy rain. |

I really want to go to Japan because i want to test if they are really accepting bitcoin as a payment to their stores and i want to buy a lot of items from their country using bitcoin only and i want to know if i can go into hotels and buy some foods with only bitcoin as a payment method. I hope our country will also the same so i don't need to go to Japan and just spend my bitcoins here.

Why would you want to sell any Bitcoin when the price of Bitcoin is clearly going up though? If you hold onto your Bitcoin then you could purchase more things when the price goes up. I agree with you, there is no sense in selling bitcoin if the price is still going up and stabilizing at the 2000 USD price mark. The only thing we should do is hodl it for long term and if there is dips then just buy from those dips and continue hodling and someday the price will gone up so high and we can start selling and buy a lot of lambos. |

I agree with you, that will be the possible scenario for bitcoin and also the banks because if the banks will realized that bitcoin is worth it then there is no reason to not adopt it as a good payment method for their banks deposit and also for withdrawals and acting as an exchange for bitcoin to fiat or vice versa. I haven't done any transaction for a while so I can't say that the confirmation time has become faster. But from what I understand, its about a few weeks ago that the network spammer has suddenly stop causing the network to unclogged as a result we experience the faster confirmation time now. And I can only speculate that maybe the network spammer thought that's is not worth to really do damaged as he/they can't really hold people getting into bitcoin.
I just made a transaction a few hours ago to test the confirmation time again and it is faster than before. I think this is a good sign for bitcoin that its fork will have a higher chance to become a successful move of the developers, just imagine that the transactions now are faster then how much more if the fork is already done. |

We will not end up with 3 chains because there were only 2 chains to exist and that is for bitcoin and also for bitcoin unlimited (the forked one). Ending with 2 chains is not a worst case scenario because just look at ethereum, even there is a hard fork and they have ethereum classic, they can still get pumps on their price and compare the price a few years ago, it is already jumped very high. |

Of course, there will be an effect to the bitcoin price because even the small news has a great impact for the price of bitcoin so how much more if it is about the development of bitcoin, so if the segwit2x will become successful in the date of august 1 then the price might get double or increased by at least 20% on its price and it will continue up to next year because of the price rally.

It is not a surprising news for me because bitcoin is already noticed by a lot of countries in the asian part of the world and some of the non asian countries are also moving and they are also legalizing bitcoin because of the belief that bitcoin can help them in economic development for the different individual and also for their overall development.
