7301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Called Out on Twitter for Working with IRS and DEA on: June 11, 2020, 06:26:13 PM
There's one Twitter poll by crypto analyst/trader John Roger about this issue:

Twitter polls have little to do with reality because of the huge bias that they have - it's better to look at Coinbase wallets and see if they grow thinner or no.

But you can get a good gauge at the current sentiments of crypto traders on this issue/accusations against Coinbase. I don't know if there are services that track Coinbase or any other exchanges wallet.

To the OP, it will be good if you can add a poll and see what the feeling of this community as well and see if there are "bias" as well.

There's one Twitter poll by crypto analyst/trader John Roger about this issue:

https://twitter.com/Josh_Rager/status/1269376636467777538

And obviously, majority didn't like it, as 66% voted that they are more willing to delete their Coinbase account.

This is the official documents from IRS:

I forgot to post this one,

Anthony Joshua Suffers Left Knee Injury, Marches For Black Lives Matter In Watford

Quote
Unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has suffered a left knee injury that will sideline him for at least the next four weeks, promoter Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene.com on Saturday.

https://www.boxingscene.com/anthony-joshua-suffers-left-knee-injury-marches-black-lives-matter-watford--149332

So the reports say he suffered an injury on his knees. But we all know that his fight will Pulev is going to be push and reschedule so ample time for Joshua to recover and then resume his training. Or as @JollyGood pointed out, it might not happen at all.

Four weeks is not long enough to recover, and since there is no fix date for this fight, they can still make this fight possible next month of the following month, this fight was already postponed, so there is no pressure at all, we just have to be thankful that it was just a minor injury.

There will be fights that are scheduled this month already, so let's see how this goes first.

Yes, that's the good news, there's no pressure on Joshua to make a quick recovery on his supposedly knee injury. And we don't want to hear excuses coming from him because of this one. He can take his sweet time to heal, recover and be back 100% on this fight, or whoever fighter he is going to face in the next coming months.

@Kemarit - the all British showdown is bound to happen though, regardless of the pandemic or not. There's too much money to be made if this fight are going to be finalised in paper.
7304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: June 10, 2020, 11:11:14 PM
Shakur Stevenson was too much for Felix Caraballo as the former stops him in the 6th round of their 10-round non title fight in Las Vegas.

Yes, too accurate, that body shot is beautiful.  Smiley

Interesting to note on this card that Robeisy Ramirez also won against Yeuri Andujar via first round stoppage. Ramirez was the one who beat Stevenson on their showdown in the finals of the 2016 Olympic Games. These two fighters might cross path in pro boxing in the near future.

I also wanted to see this fight in pro. I'm sure Stevenson wanted to show who really deserves the gold medal in 2016 games if they rematch as a pro boxer now.

IMO, the first act of Bob Arum was successful, kudos to him for making boxing up on it's feet on this time of pandemic.

Next card will be on June 11, 2020 and it will feature Jessie Magdaleno and Vicente Yenifel on the main event.

I was looking for inputs from boxing analyst regarding this fight. So far I haven't seen any negative press, so for now we can call this a successful event.
7305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 10, 2020, 10:44:35 PM
I'm looking at this list: Best budget smartphone 2020: the top cheap mobiles around. And it's not cheap though, price ranging from $100-$300. So that's still expensive as compare to the price of hardware wallets today. So the argument that they are expensive are not true at all. Besides, keeping your mobile wallet will always be "online", multiply the risk that you are exposed to cyber criminals and loss your crypto in an instant specially if you're not careful and don't have this safety practice.

- snip -

I'm installed brave browser Version 1.9.80 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138, but it has different results, there is no more affiliate link on the suggestion, but i don't know if someone already opens the web before.

It's because that's the latest Brave browser, my test was run on the old version. So obviously, you won't replicate my results.

The latest version, with the supposedly solution to this issue is setting the "Show Brave suggested sites in autocomplete suggestions" by default to "OFF" in brave://settings/.

7310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges not accepting mixed BTC, so is BTC no longer fungible? on: June 09, 2020, 10:10:33 PM
I have open a thread about this issue before, Exchanges are now potentially banning btc sent to a mixing/conjoin services.

And far as I can remember, bitcoin's fungibility has been in question in 2015 when BlockTrail started to sell virgin bitcoin: BlockTrail Mint: Fresh Bitcoin Delivered From The Mines. But it seems that this offer have been discounted already.

Yes, they just updated to the latest (1.9.80) build. But I tested with my current Brave Browser (Version 1.9.72 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit). And it's not just Binance,  Grin

88 out of 89 posts deleted by mods - if that's not ban hammer material then I don't know what is.

That's good enough reason to get this user perma ban for shilling/spewing crap in this community.

The question is what benefit does this community get from CoinIdol News?

Short answer is you don't get anything good with what CoinIdol is posting here in the press section. He basically just promote their website and the account itself doesn't engage in any kind of interaction with the people who post in his thread. I guess the deletion of their threads are in relation to that where CoinIdol's only purpose to post here in the forum is to promote their websites and not to contribute anything here in the forum, I mean all of their news are shit anyways that contain misleading headlines and recycled news and to top it all a thumbnail that will give you a good cringe.

Thank you very much, I rest my case.

7315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do not give up keep trading! on: June 07, 2020, 10:03:41 AM
We should also consider that cryptocurrency trading is not for everyone.
We all know that trading is extremely risky, crypto, or non-crypto and it takes time and needs time especially if you are a daily trader or whatever.
Also, the more we chase our losses, the more possibilities that we will also lose again.

I know some of the crypto traders in our local that already stopped to trade because they already lost a lot. Well, I don't think if they already gave up? Maybe they are just taking a break.

People who have spare money or ready to take some sort of risk and have the skills to trade or have knowledge about the crypto and the coins in which they are trading then accordingly they can trade and check it out if in few trades how does it go. Also one vital thing is that have a stop loss in place as it is required initially.

Skills need to be learn here in order to maximize our profits. Yes, we all know that trading is risky business, heck, we heard so many members you have lost tons of money, it is really hard to be a trader here and not loss along the way. Crypto market is one of a kind, others even compare it to gambling because of the risk.

To the OP, it might be a good idea to just take it slow and look at your trading strategy and improve it. Chasing you lose might bring more pain in the end.

7317  Local / Pilipinas / Paano ma verify ang Segwit Signature gamit ang Brainwallet ? on: June 06, 2020, 10:49:54 PM
Kamusta?

Halimbawa, gagamitin ko to my signature.

Sumasang-ayon tayo na kung susubukan kong suriin ang aking signature sa address na Bech32, hindi ito gumana.

Sa umpisa, i-paste ang iyong Bech32 address dito at i-decode ito:

-> https://slowli.github.io/bech32-buffer/

Sa aking halimbawa, ang ibinalik na data ay "f0113389dea4d5abb74fe9fa4aaaa756f966c86d".

At ... Ito na, ngayon, gamitin ang nakopyang address sa naka-sign na mensahe tulad nito:

7318  Economy / Economics / Re: India's new financial package is a national laughing stock - what do you think? on: June 06, 2020, 01:27:45 PM

My conclusion: The entire package doesn't talk about any direct help for the people. It only talks about cheaper loan availability to the industries. A classic example of directionless leadership.

What do you think?

Perhaps banks needs to re-assess those who wanted to get a loan and perhaps the pen factory is not on the list of priorities that's why they offer a cheap loan? And with the government's and banks limited budget, I think not only in India that you can see this, as well as other parts of the globe as well.

This is really sad though as a lot of small business are really closing down because of the effect but the hands of the government are really tied at this point. I'm not siding with the government or bank here, but they can't do everything to help everyone.

Not really, governments are simply printing money to tackle the condition but they are not willing to save everyone they just care for the one who is rich and this is happening on many parts of the world.Governments are trying to help the owner because they are the one who pays more taxes to the government but they forget that every employer is also a citizen/consumer so they are literally paying taxes for everything which is even more than rich individuals.

Yes, that's exactly my point, as much as government really wanted to help everyone, most of the time, they don't have a choice. Of course, if you are rich, you could get some favours, and we can't really deny that. I think it is already part of the system. But I will say that it is unacceptable, but with the recent crisis, governments or banks will have to prioritise, in my opinion.
7319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is third party Bitcoin services really into Bitcoin for the technology? on: June 06, 2020, 11:05:01 AM
It's business, by the way, and everyone wanted to get a piece of the pie, a billion dollar crypto market. They've seen that they can 'exploited' the market, like offering third party services, but at the end of the day, they are in not just for the technology.

But we can't really tell the difference isn't it? Because we are so excited when we here that some companies join the crypto bandwagon and shouts adoption, but the back of the minds of those people behind, they could be laughing at us.
7320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Humility helps your trading capabilities on: June 06, 2020, 10:04:02 AM
A component of trading that cannot be neglected is humility towards the market; as a trader you need to present yourself to be teachable with humility so that the market will also steer its humility to you.

The market doesn't care if you are humble or arrogant.

I say this because a proud and arrogant trader to the market, will have a trouble looming ahead trading because over confidence in trading leads to losses.

Yes, I think that is the correct definition, majority of the traders are over-confident and think that they won't suffer a defeat. But losing is just part of the whole equation, you should also learn how to get up.

Also, arrogance and pride while trading is the beginning of endless losses.

I think the lesson here is that don't let your emotion takes you over when you are trading.
