7321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a site showing price of crypto compared to btc/$ value at specific day? on: February 27, 2019, 05:13:59 PM
I don't know what exactly tool you are talking about but you can manually compare the value of the coin using coinmarketcap.

As your sample here is the NXT that includes the graph from 2014 to present https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nxt/

You can check them by pointing your mouse to the graph and you will see the date, price value in USD, Price value in BTC, Market cap and Volume.
Which I think the exact tool that I think you are looking for?

You can also use the historical data and use the custom date range where you can compare the date from years ago to present.
7322  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum won't connect to servers on: February 26, 2019, 10:20:19 PM
def downloaded electrum.org

i'm new to this is posting my receiving address safe?

Yes, it's safe to share your address it is a public address where we can check on blockchain if there is transaction happen with this address.

What do you mean by USB dongle? Are you using the internet from that USB? Does it seem that you are talking about USB stick modem where you can insert a sim card?

Maybe your internet from a USB stick is slow I have an old USB stick with slow internet because it gives me 3g internet signal which is too slow compared to LTE smartphones.

Can you try to change your DNS to google DNS? Sometimes it's DNS issue so changing the DNS to Google DNS or Public DNS can solve the issue.
Here is the google DNS below.

Code:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
7323  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please Help!,I lost my important data because of a virus on: February 26, 2019, 09:59:38 PM
Some application or software recovery doesn't support all file extension. If you are infected with virus much better to fix and remove all viruses before you start recovering it.

Or you might be infected with ransomware where some important files are hidden.

I recommend you to try Kaspersky they have a free trial install it then update the database after that deep scan your PC.

If the kaspersky detects just disinfected them or delete. then after that, if you are infected with ransomware you need to use some tools to decrypt and shows all of your hidden files.

Check these links

https://www.kaspersky.com/anti-ransomware-tool
https://noransom.kaspersky.com/
dont worry it's free you don't need to pay.
7324  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum won't connect to servers on: February 26, 2019, 09:48:36 PM
If changing the server doesn't work and also the TryNinja suggestion does not work then there is something that blocking incoming or outbound traffic from your electrum.
Do you have any antivirus installed? If yes try to exclude the electrum.

Also, make sure that the wallet you installed is directly from https://electrum.org/ if you downloaded the latest version of electrum from a pop up window in electrum your electrum might be infected or you are using a phishing electrum wallet.

If that's the case your bitcoin is gone.

Can you post your bitcoin address here so that we can check if the bitcoin still there?
7325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain login server down? on: February 26, 2019, 08:34:06 PM
Same here I can't access my Bitmain account and I tried my account but right now they need to contact the given support to recover my account.

The support page seems fine to me.

It seems it's not a server down there is a little changes from their website.
7326  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance "DEX" review on: February 26, 2019, 08:01:32 PM

7327  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which is the Best Crypto Payment Gateway? on: February 26, 2019, 07:25:49 PM
Why the coinpayments is in the last ranking position? I'm using this payment gateway and the good thing with this almost all crypto is acceptable, unlike the other payment gateways.

I notice some payment gateway from the list and I never saw them before.

Coinbase also good payment gateway and bitpay these 2 are best alternative payment gateway than the other listed from the blog post above.
7328  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum won't connect to servers on: February 26, 2019, 07:13:52 PM
Did you try to connect the electrum to other electrum servers?

You can change the electrum server to other servers by clicking the green or red circle from the bottom right of the wallet. Then click the server and uncheck the "select server automatically" and then choose any server you want after that restart the electrum wallet then wait for sync if the circle from the bottom right still in red it means it's not connected. Try other servers until you find a stable one.
7329  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not open on Yosemite 10.10.5 on: February 26, 2019, 06:39:15 PM
I don't have much knowledge on Mac OS but let me ask if where did you download the electrum 3.3.4?

Did you install electrum 3.3.4 under python sources?

You must install the electrum wallet directly from the correct website from here https://electrum.org/#download

You can use the "Executable for OS X" or through python if the Executable doesn't work try to install the wallet through python.
The step by step guide is already in https://electrum.org/#download
7330  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-26]Cryptopia Crypto Exchange Users Can’t Access Funds on: February 26, 2019, 06:25:25 PM
Honestly, I have some altcoin from cryptopia it's not a big amount but maybe someday the value might be increased to 1000% just like what happen to bitcoin last year so it's still worth it to transfer if we have a chance.
As of now the site still showing the announcement with New Zealand police link below. So I think it's impossible right now to find who made the un-authorized transaction from cryptopia.

If the other funds still there like other altcoins they must give users access to their funds so that they can take their funds out from the site and I believe not all altcoins are transferred.

I feel that this is an inside job just like what happened to nicehash if this is a security breach why they don't still give all coins to the users?

That is why there are some decentralized exchanges created because of this issue.
I like the Binance dex as they let you fully access your own wallet where you can save private keys or seeds. So if the exchange cracked down or hacked then they can withdraw their altcoin from other wallets by using the backup private key or seeds, unlike Cryptopia which is a centralized exchange.
7331  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is it okay that a Hardware Wallet Has no Screen? on: February 25, 2019, 08:48:50 PM
I'd like to add this one it seems never mention this hardwallet before so I'd like to add this as another hardware wallet as what I found from google.

Another hardware wallet is opendime coldcard it's not the same as other hardware wallet that have screen.

Look at the image below.
7332  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: White-hat message when sending transactions with older versions on: February 25, 2019, 07:02:50 PM
This is the only 2 vulnerabilities that I heard before.

- They gain access via JSONRPC command
- Phishing attacks from electrum servers.

And another vulnerability that I heard is the Phishing website where they promote fake electrum software. You can mostly see this on google ads.
7333  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum error message when signing.... on: February 24, 2019, 11:56:22 PM
Try this method.

- First, open your electrum wallet then right click the bitcoin address where you accidentally sent your USDT.
- After that paste it to notepad temporary because we will use this privkey to create a wallet.
- Now go to http://omniwallet.org/
- And then create a wallet and fill all needed. (If you already have an account just ignore this.)
- Now click your "my wallet" then "my address" then "add an address" then import address with private key then paste your private key.

Now you should find your USDT in your wallet and you can send it again to other USDT wallets.
7334  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: best way to use eletrum with an ATM on: February 24, 2019, 10:55:29 PM
I think it's much better if you have electrum wallet in your smartphone if you have backup seed from your PC electrum then you can recover it in your electrum mobile.
If you recover it you can just go to your bitcoin address and you will also see the QRcode of the address you like.

Check this YT videos below it may help you how ATM works.

7335  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how to start electrum after python install on: February 24, 2019, 10:33:05 PM
What version of electrum did you download?
Did you try what TryNinja said
Use this command from the console:

Code:
electrum
If this doesn't work try the other command below.

I think you must find the correct path before you use the command.

Try this command
Code:
cd Electrum-3.3.4
after that type this again.
Code:
electrum
or
Code:
python3 run_electrum
7336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Seeking tutor service for bitcointalk signature creation on: February 24, 2019, 08:00:10 PM
upload your image to https://morgh.us/pixelate/
It is bad advice. This site is good for design but very bad for the forum. The maximum number of characters is 4,000 words. This site generates much more than that.

The suggestions above appear suitable for this forum and the best results happen with hard work and draw the shapes of each pixel separately.

This tool works well https://manytools.org/hacker-tools/convert-image-to-ansi-art/go Compared to morgh.us/pixelate/ it gives me the same result as yours and if I tried to reduce the resolution the result of the design is not clear as the logo or image.

This tool gives me the best result and follow the video for editing color and redesign the converted code from your suggested link including the video.

So the combination of this tool and the guide from the video gives me a good result and I can start making a good signature if I start to career this as signature designer maybe the design will be done for a longer time if I don't use some tools like this.
7337  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tronipaycard UnionPay Card and Mastercard for Cryptocurrencies. on: February 23, 2019, 11:06:56 PM
A company that has been operating since 2014 and has not been heard by anyone. Everything about the site shows that it is not professional. "I think they buy a template to create the site."

According to the source code of the site, it seems that they bought the landing page from here https://bootstrapmade.com/buy/?theme=NewBiz
Which is pretty cheap.

I just created a dummy account from the site and tried logging in most of the buttons inside the website are not working or it seems the site is not yet done.

And it looks like they are planning to release a token tronipay (TRP). No private policy, cookie policy and policy about collecting full names and emails this site will never be verified by google's policies.

And also, it's still new registered domain and we should not trust this site anytime they can be scam or maybe become a legit. I'm not sure yet but much better to stay away for safety purposes.
7338  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Tails electrum dilemma on: February 23, 2019, 10:31:19 PM
How do i send money out of this wallet now? Do i need to update electrum?

Do you have any backup copy seed or private keys or wallet.dat?
If you have then you can start updating your electrum but don't use the popup window just go directly to http://electrum.org/ and use the command there to install or update your electrum from Tails OS.

How can you even go about updating electrum on tails OS?

Tails OS is a well-known secured OS based on what I heard it is a Linux based OS which is made for security purposes. So updating electrum is fine the only problem about electrum is that some server is infected and sending you a phishing link by showing up to update your electrum.

(p.s - also, is my laptop and wallet/bitcoins safe? I never followed any links or downloaded anything but its stressful knowing that a phishing scam can appear on my screen when trying to send bitcoin)

Your laptop and wallet is safe just make sure that the electrum wallet you download is directly from correct http://electrum.org/ website.
Don't forget to backup your private keys and wallet.dat and seeds before you going to update.

7340  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Looking to buy a bitcoin faucet on: February 22, 2019, 11:59:48 PM
There are many faucet scripts out there you can check this list below.

- https://faucethub.io/forum/section/40

Or use the old faucet box script from here https://static.faucetbox.com/download/faucetinabox/ or directly from main page https://faucetinabox.com/ which is free to use.

then edit and replace the API with other micropayments like faucethub. You can check the guide from here on how to move from existing microwallet provider to faucethub API
