I created account and registered on your website and done some testing but one and five second trading is crazy unpredictable, and I don't understand why you would need to have any token for this.

After making few trades I have some of my testnet coins frozen and they stay frozen even after canceling my position, so is there any way unfreeze this coins and how?
7344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Story of Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto on: June 18, 2021, 10:07:52 AM
Looks like we have one more Faketoshi scammer and this time he is coming from China with his bad English skills and totally different writing style from Satoshi.
Just like all the other Faketoshi's before him, he is also unable to simply sign a message from his Bitcoin wallet and prove ownership of Satoshi's coins, and instead he is wasting time writing some nonsense.
7345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and CO2 emissions (Should we care?) on: June 18, 2021, 08:46:52 AM
Dude please it's enough with this CO2 bad propaganda, this is natural gas we (and all animals) exhale all the time and same gas plants need to live and grow.
This stupid idea that mainstream media and researchers paid by big corporations are pushing so hard is ridiculous, and connecting that with Bitcoin is even worse.
If we compare Bitcoin ''dangerous'' CO2 emission with gold, finance sector or with military-industrial complex we can see how insignificant Bitcoin is in this story.
Again, if you can convince bunch of people that cheap face masks protect them from some boogeyman virus then you can also convince them that CO2 is bad, that Bitcoin is bad, and that to much people on planet are also bad...
Pay mainstream media to report about this 24/7 and it looks like something is real even if it's not, and solution would be to stop watching tv, but it's not so easy to give up digital drug addiction Smiley

Interesting bitcoinmagazine reading material regarding this subject to put things into perspective:

Tags are not going to happen, at least not in this forum software, but maybe it's possible with some new forum software in year 2030 when people will own nothing (except Bitcoin) and be happy Smiley
7347  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: June 18, 2021, 08:07:01 AM
7348  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: June 18, 2021, 08:02:03 AM

7349  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger fake device Warning! on: June 17, 2021, 05:49:35 PM
Here is one more guy who claims that he ordered one Ledger Nano X and received two in his package, and one of them looks like it's fake according to photo he posted on reddit.
If this is true that means that Ledger is still leaking some information or they have some dirty insider who is selling customer information.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/o22p55/is_this_nano_x_pcb_genuine_seen_some_reports/

I'm impressed by the ingenuity of these guys, it's quite an elaborate scam and it's probably not cheap to pull it off, but I think that unfortunately some will fall for it  Angry so get ready for a new bunch of unhappy customers which will probably end up here  Angry
Yeah, I realized in 2020 and 2021 that people are generally very naive and they would accept even a free snake as a gift if you tell them it's an egg that is good for them.
Scammers are playing on card of device replacement, but I am worried that fake devices are sent from France, like we can see on first fake package, and that could mean that someone who works in Ledger is still leaking customer information.

7350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network -- Is it GOOD? on: June 17, 2021, 02:43:23 PM
I am not the biggest  fan of Lightning Network and I don't think it's ready and simple enough to be used by everyone, not it is accepted by all exchanges and merchants,
but those who criticize it most are Bcashers and big blockers like Roger Ver.
Let's take a look at mining pool distribution for bch and we can see that almost 50% is controlled by Antpool and 3 pools are controlling 75% of their total hashrate, so you can't really call this decentralization.
If you run your own node for LN and open channel when fees are low you will be able to spend you Bitcoin for coffee and peanuts, but who does that anyway Smiley
7351  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.1.3 released on: June 17, 2021, 02:10:06 PM
They already released new Electrum version 4.1.4  with few fixes just one day later:

# Release 4.1.4 - (June 17, 2021)
 * Kivy/Android: fix a regression where a non-LN wallet
could not open the settings (c49d6995)
 * CLI/RPC: fix "close_wallet" command (#7348)

7353  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Ledger fake device Warning! on: June 17, 2021, 09:18:29 AM
You probably remember multiple Ledger database leaks that exposed private customer information and addresses for millions of ledger customers, and this is still available in public so both fbi and scammers have all those information.

Scammers have been texting customers, sending them threats with sms, fake emails but their latest trick is even more dangerous because they started to send fake replacement Ledger devices to selected customers even if they didn't order anything.

Attackers even created fake ledger bag and sealed ledger box to match original Ledger Nano X wallet with their own instructions, and sent letter explaining why customer need to replace their wallet.

Fake Instructions is asking users connect the Ledger to their computer, than import recovery phrase from their old device, and that is sent to the attackers who imports it on their own devices and steal crypto.

Guy who received this fake ledger opened the device that was later compared with original device and you can see the clear difference inside both front and back as well as some sloppy soldering work.

They added a flash drive inside Ledger case and wired it to the USB connector with the purpose to be used for malware delivery to attackers.

This was first reported on ledger reddit by member jjrand who was confirmed victim of data breach, but he was not the only one to receive it.

BEWARE that anyone who ordered ledger wallet before and got his address leaked is in danger of receiving one of this fake devices.

Quote
I have got a package from Ledger although I did not order one. Inside the package, there is a brand new Ledger X and the letter attached. As a victim of the latest Data Breach I have signed up reddit only to post this. Maybe someone from the company can confirm or deny it.

Edit: I am pretty sure it is scam. Here are some more pics. I have also opened the device. You can see the inside of the plastic box. It is definitely tampered !

So beware guys, this is really some next level of scam attempt.

Actually bitcoin fees are never X dollar Tongue
You also can't predict the sat/vbyte value based on the dollar value of the fee because you have no idea what the size of their transaction is.
I was not predicting anything but just stating current situation of mempool at that time, and he was speaking in terms of USD.
For years I have been using mempool.space that is showing incoming transactions, unconfirmed transactions with suggested fee and it has never failed me so far.

It may contain a lot of inputs and/or outputs that has increased its total size hence the total fee even with a small sat/vbyte fee rate.
He has $110.56 worth of Bitcoin on his electrum, so it's probably not 110 inputs... but he can always use calculators like this:
- Jameson Lopp website
- Bitcoin Ops
- ByBitcoinWorldwide
- Coinb.in
- Bitcoindata.science

7355  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Time to boost Bitcoin circulation, Million Transactions Per Second, more privacy on: June 16, 2021, 04:35:29 PM
There are thousands of email service providers, and it is highly decentralized.
You are either from Mars or some other planet when you can keep saying that email server providers are decentralized... they are not decentralized.
Do you know that few days ago when fastly servers went down half of the internet also went down, including reddit, amazon, paypal, amazon, ebay, vimeo, etc.
If you know that huge majority of people use gmail and google services you can't really call anything like that decentralized.
There is one research showing that over 75% of all Gmail users are connected with their mobile devices...so much about decentralization of your protocol.

PS
You are still avoiding to answer my question to explain how your mobile nodes are actually working.
7356  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Time to boost Bitcoin circulation, Million Transactions Per Second, more privacy on: June 16, 2021, 03:49:56 PM
In our classic internet you have a domain name which is totally centralized. Using email is a decentralized solution. You can create and change your email address million times with no cost.
No, using emails is not decentralized solution all data is stored on one or two centralized servers, and I can also create million of domains if I want, including some free domains.

Shut down just one server and all your ''decentralized nodes'' are dead, and even worse than using emails would be usage of mobile phones as some kind of ''nodes'' and you didn't explain how thot would work but it all reminds on that junk Pi network.
7357  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Time to boost Bitcoin circulation, Million Transactions Per Second, more privacy on: June 16, 2021, 02:35:20 PM
since the nodes (mobile wallets) are standalone and it is not necessary everyone know everything about every transaction.
Quote
The heart of network are mobile phones which acting as network nodes.

If you can please explain a bit better how exactly are you using mobile phone wallets as ''nodes'' and emails, because this sounds to me like a privacy nightmare.

You say there is no central authority but most email providers are centralized and they track and read your emails like gmail for example that most people are using nowadays.

Sorry but I see a lot of holes in your theoretical medium post.
7358  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to send BTC? on: June 16, 2021, 02:23:10 PM
I believe the BTC transfer fee is around $20.00. How do I determine how much the transfer fees are from both Electrum and Coinbase to calculate or determine I'm sending the guy the correct amount of $533.00?
Bitcoin transaction fees are not always $20, but currently it is around $1 (around 30 sat/vB) and it's even lower during weekend when mempool is cleared.
I am not sure how much are withdrawal fees from Coinbase (check that on their website faq page) and I would suggest not to hold your coins on exchanges in future because they often charge extra fees from customers like this.
Sending all coins from your own wallet is always best option, and I think that only exception is FTX exchange that still offers zero fees for sending BTC.
7359  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: On Paul Sztorc’s BIP-300 proposal on: June 16, 2021, 02:03:11 PM
This is not a purely technical objective you're trying to do here, what you want to be accomplished also requires social actions. It's not like you can make a BIP and then all altcoin stakeholders drop what they're doing and exclusively use BTC, many of them have their own reasons why they need/want to use Monero/Zcash/<XYZ coin #1>/<XYZ coin #2> or others, which people are never going to come to a consensus to with just new designs and technology alone. I fail to see how this is a problem in the first place.
I am not a technical expert, but I know a lot of people who would drop their holding of many altcoins and get back into Bitcoin if sidechains would enable better privacy.
All BIP proposals happened just like that, some people wrote a code, people tested it and see how it works, bugs got fixes, miners and nodes saw potential for improvements and profit and they accepted it.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't see any problem (or particularly care) with whether people want to use bitcoin or not or which particular altcoin they use, it's not like the act of using one is a threat to bitcoin's existence.
I really don't understand what are you talking about...
Bitcoin dominance is dropping for years and it was even below 40% recently so money is obviously going away in different distractions and stupid projects, so it's obviously affecting Bitcoin.
7360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a legal tender - The next ‘great filter’? on: June 16, 2021, 01:51:07 PM
It's funny to hear some ''experts'' now warning that El Salvador economy may crash now after they introduced Bitcoin as legal tender, as if their economy was thriving before with IMF debt and with control of central banks.
All world economy is basically a sinking Titanic now and Bitcoin is lifeboat to escape this crash, but people keep yelling ''don't go in liefeboat', stay on (sinking) the ship that will never crash''. Smiley
Why don't you give people of choice to use several currencies including Bitcoin, and if they are not intelligent enough and they keep using centralized controlled infinite funny money than let them do that.
I am not for Bitcoin to be used as only currency in any country but legal tender is great solution to give people a real choice, especially in time of inflation.
