7341  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin physical coins makers still active as of today on: October 02, 2021, 05:44:44 PM
I’ve sold several thousand coins here over the last 10 years (and 10x as many outside the forum). I think that may classify me as a coin maker. I’m also still pretty active around here (thanks stake.com). You can find the coins that are still in stock and available for purchase at https://nastyfans.org/mint - tell em Og sent you.  Wink
7342  Other / Meta / Re: Are we now allowing obviously false information to be posted as truth? on: October 02, 2021, 04:54:53 AM
You just now realizing this? There are people in paid positions on this forum and in DT who have been spreading lies about me and my activity for years. They group up with other trolls and base their personal feelings of worth on whether or not they can inject themselves into discussions and feel important. They don’t care if everything they say is nonsense. Shit, read the stuff Vod said about me over the years. The lack of following up on threats from the administration has turned this forum into a joke in my eyes. The untrustworthy behavior started at the top…

“We must have a physical Bitcoin on our mantle. Otherwise, what kind of family are we?”

Hilarious. Makes me warm and fuzzy to hear stuff like this and I can definitely relate also. I probably paid double the BTC amount for my coins then what they’d sell for today and I don’t regret a thing. I guess if you know you know.  Grin
7344  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Pawn Stars on: October 02, 2021, 03:20:18 AM
Pretty awesome. This is going to probably be the first real mainstream showing of our beloved collectibles. I imagine there might be a couple coin collectors out there that see it and decide they must have it. Glad you didn’t sell. Hope you laughed at the offer. I was a fan of the show once upon a time and hope I find myself viewing this episode at some point.
7345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador 🇸🇻 Mines First Bitcoin With Volcanic Energy 🌋 on: October 02, 2021, 03:14:48 AM
Really nice that he publishes so much information. He doesn't have to do this, and he has important things to do, but the successes are great for Bitcoin. I'm sure some other countries are watching it and they are starting to get angry. Fomo for sure! The first one to come has the most success.

Yes, finally someone is using Bitcoin for it’s transparency! I’ve had to wait 10 years to see the mainstream market mature to catch up with where most Bitcoiners were in 2011. I suspect the hangover from the coming fomo is going to humble them, but if they can stick with it and maintain their values, I think their future is bright.
7346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 02, 2021, 03:04:34 AM
It looks like "old" players need more time to rest because there are rumors that James, Westbrook, Melo, and Ariza will miss the first preseason match. So the Lakers vs. Nets game will not be interesting, and I expect it should be an easy win for the Nets if KD, Harden, and Irving play.

Damn, we want to see Russ in Lakers uniform in his first game against the Nets? Not good for the fans and for the NBA general. For sure this is one of the anticipated opening match in NBA history and Lakers are killing the excitement?

So not sure about the Nets side, maybe we can see some of their superstars sitting as well.

@harizen - thanks for sharing, yeah, strange that KP and Luka are not in the same pic? It's this a sign that KP and Luka relationship are not going well? lol.

Not good since fans are expecting to see Russ playing against his former teammates.

If this rumors gather more fans attention the opening might not be good in terms of viewers, we all know that this upcoming season opener
was highly anticipated preview of a possible NBA finals.

Placing LeBron, Russ and Melo in your bench is not a good idea considering those fans who will bought the ticket for the game opener
they will surely call for this stars to play..

I wouldn’t say anyone is expecting to see them play. If I thought all the starters were going to play on both teams then I’d be at Staples Center for it (is it still called that?). I do hope we’ll get some glimpses of the players in action so we can see who was working during the off-season.

One thing I do know… This is the last weekend with no nba basketball for a while. Get those chores done you’ve been putting off while you can!
7347  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 01, 2021, 08:49:33 PM
I know I've grown accustomed to partying pretty hard the first week of November as a result of the Halloween crypto boom.  It always makes that time of year a little extra exciting.  Looking forward to more of the same.  Smiley

If the fractal pattern (stock to flow ratio) holds true, this is the last chance to get in before the pump.  I can't imagine the big money pouring in now would allow the stock to flow model breakdown, as that's their bread and butter if they're to convince the world a million dollar BTC in 2025 is a possibility.  That's where the hedge funds are eyeing making their money from Bitcoin, so I expect them to defend that model with a mountain of cash.  A mountain of cash I will be diving into like Scrooge McDuck.
7348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 01, 2021, 10:56:39 AM

I'm straight but why the fuck do I love this pic?  Cool

It’s because it’s not the candle we deserve, but the one we need right now.

Everything continues to go right as scheduled. This is going to be one hell of a month to kick off the quarter we wait four years for. Moment of silence for the leveraged shorts, as they sure need to buy new ones now.
7349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 11:10:27 PM
I don't trust him in the Center position, not because he can't play that position but because he is so fragile. One injury will make him sit half the regular season lol.

In today's league status, a Center position is not really taken as a big deal now where everything is making shots on the rainbow area. While Anthony Davis is more of a Power Forward, he can switch gears to a Center position while maintaining plays for his usual Power Forward position. About the supposed injury he might get, regardless of what position he will play, an injury can happen any time.

Anyways, Anthony Davis already make it clear that he will play as a Center and try to adjust: Lakers’ Anthony Davis is ready and willing to play more at center
We will see if this is going to be an effective change and adjustment to them. I'm not fond of watching AD at that position but they know what's best for them.
Let's see if they can make this up and if it's going to be an effective positioning to the team. As he said, if he's willing and ready then at least we've heard it from him that he has prepared for this.

He said that last year… I guess he’s continued to get bigger and stronger, so maybe that’s possible. Personally I think him and Dwight Howard on the court at the same time makes a defensive monster down low. I’m really anxious to see how they fit Carmelo into the game plan. I’m also curious how LeBron is going to handle Carmelo when he misses a few bad shots in a row.
7350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 30, 2021, 11:06:49 PM
I’ve started telling people to make sure they have a little BTC just in case this end of year runup comes to fruition. You aren’t going to want to be a nocoiner come Halloween and miss out on the fun. I think the ticket is worth the cost of admission. Even for weak hands and short term market players, I think the time is now and hope this isn’t the world’s largest bull trap.
7351  Economy / Economics / Re: Gavin Andresen prediction for Bitcoin in 2061 on: September 30, 2021, 08:52:11 PM
Gavin is certainly a bit of a puzzling man.  I like to read some of the old posts here on the forum and of course I've come across many from Gavin Andresen and there are so many great things/ideas that Gavin brought to the table back then. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy as well which makes it all the more difficult to dislike him but you are right he has certainly turned to the "dark side" as time has gone on.  Sad to see.

I don’t think he’s gone to the dark side. I think that many of us early Bitcoiners had a vision for Bitcoin that was suddenly railroaded by unnecessary man-implemented limits that turned Bitcoin from something that could free the world from financial oppression, into a get rich quick scheme to assimilate into the existing system. If satoshi were still alive, I think he would be more aligned with Gavin’s desire for Bitcoin’s future than Blockstream’s.
7352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 10:12:18 AM
Any predictions on what team will come in last place? I think Houston might be a good selection as they deal with the James Harden fallout and now trying to find a new home for John Wall… The Cavaliers seem stuck in the LeBron James hangover still. Kevin Love won’t let them buy him out and I don’t think his heart is in it anymore. That team is a mess and probably will be for another 2-3 years.
I guess the rockets here will be the worst team this season, they don't have good chemistry and don't have a player that would lead them. John Wall will be leaving and probably Christian Wood will leave as well. For the Cavaliers, yes, they will remain a bad team but least would have a little improvement and would end a better record than the rockets.

You’re probably right. Maybe Kevin Love will step up after his Olympic catastrophe in the offseason. The one thing that would derail that prediction is if John Wall decides he wants to stay in Houston (he should because of his contract and the Texas state taxes) or if they’re unable to find a taker. I don’t see him accepting a buyout so it’s possible he stays and carries the Rockets to a decent record. We’ll see.
7353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 30, 2021, 05:42:55 AM
The make or break moment is nearly upon us. If the next 40 days doesn’t produce the beginnings of a major bubble, it will start to discourage those of us who have been watching the stock to flow ratio for a couple cycles now.

Luckily it seems there’s news of an approved ETH incoming that seems to be legitimate…

that's a funny typo..what's on your mind? lol

that said, i am not worried...yet, but it seems that NOBODY predicted this cycle..as it should be...contrary to Willy Woo's assertion, bitcoin is not really "mechanical".

I think I’ve been typing about NFTs too much. My phone is getting a little auto-correct happy on the Ethereum references. Between that and always changing my ‘wouldn’t’ to ‘would’ I think my phone is out to sabotage me. Indeed I meant ETF, as it seems like Coinbase tipped off the market with their now deleted tweet.

I really like BullsOnTheBlock for their airdrops, DAO, altcoin, & staking. It seems like they’re doing a lot behind the scenes to give their tokens use cases.

I also like BitBones for the work they’re doing in the metaverse as well as their rewards to token owners through airdrops.

I think both of those projects have a bright future, and the floor on both happened to rise by 300% yesterday. Smiley
7356  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Possible BTC Future by Gavin Andresen on: September 30, 2021, 05:09:32 AM
I read the article when it came out. I think Gavin Andresen is a really intelligent person and his thoughts would be wise to be taken into account. His value to the Bitcoin project in it’s early days can’t be overstated and I think his vision makes a lot of sense. Without some massive changes to how Bitcoin works, this may be the best case scenario.
7357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: September 30, 2021, 04:45:58 AM
Always remember that there are thousands of horrible failure stories for every one of these success stories. Do people get rich gambling? Sure. Whether that be with stocks or slot machines, it happens. The odds are that the reverse happens a lot more often. A x200 return is impressive though and respect to anyone who can achieve it. I’d recommend sticking to gambling for entertainment though. Stories like this cost people their homes when they try to replicate it.

I would agree the Lakers have a ton of talent and should dominate on paper. They still have to learn to play together though. It’s pretty rare for a new team to win the chip right off the bat. Look at the Heatles. With only 4 days to go until their first preseason game, I’m sure they’re putting the work in to get their play styles on the same page.

Asking this question makes me very happy that I have a home that is 100% gas free and if Tesla ever gets their act together and builds my cybertruck there will be 0 gas usage in my life (even grid energy is nuclear here). The idea that someone could make a decision to keep me from driving a vehicle or heating my home makes me extremely happy to have a solar powered and battery backed up residence.
