... Are you for real? The unsold IPO shares are their shares and they are fully entitled to them.
We play this game: I IPO my company, let's call it RetroBee, and issue 1000 shares, keeping 10 of those shares for my ... expertise. The IPO is meant to raise $1000, selling at $1/share, making my 10 shares worth $10 -- a reasonable price to pay for my contribution ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The IPO doesn't sell out -- you buy 100 shares, and ... no one else does. Since I am the issuer, I keep the unsold shares. After you've paid your hundred dollars, you have a 10% stake in RetroBee, a company worth one hundred dollars. A winrar is you!

Those considering buying: VirtualMining is ActiveMining is Ken Slaughter. To spare yourself some grief, please read this CoinDesk article: http://www.coindesk.com/mining-hardware-companies-miners-roundup/ TL;DR after CoinDesk guy asked for a refund: The cheque was sent back with an accompanying letter clearly stating the correct spelling of the recipient’s name, just to be sure.
However, mid-March a new cheque arrived containing the same misspelling and, this time, it wasn’t signed either. At this point I started to wonder whether these errors were being done on purpose to delay the refund.
Declining my request to have the funds wired to my bank account instead, VMC will now be sending a third cheque (after receiving the unsigned one back from me).
So, maybe with some luck, some four to five months after applying for a refund, I will actually get my money back.
Further lulz could be had in multiple ActiveMining threads in the Securities section. Enjoy.

... Of course it is, this is our development board from hashfast. We are in the process of tooling our production line to build 5,000 boards in April.
So wait, you post a pic of a dev board as proof of the product you claim to be shipping *now*? Unless you're shipping dev boards, I'd say that's fucking sleazy. How about a pic of the stuff you claim to be shipping? The pictures show our stock of boards and the product ready to be shipped. No. Your pictures show what you have admitted is a dev board (not one of the board you claim to be shipping), cardboard boxes, anti-static bags, coolers (which have nothing to do with the orders. You are not including a cooling solution AFAIK, correct me if I'm mistaken), and empty racks (also not being shipped, I presume). There is not a single picture of the product ready to be shipped.

... The Active Mining situation will bump difficulty growth to the high side of the 15-20% range. We were looking at growth in the top of the 10-15% range until Friedcat's gen 3 hit the market but Active Mining's ~4 PH/s will bump it up in the mean time. ... Active Mining will do no such thing. Active Mining is currently reselling HashFast boards, if Ken is to be taken at his word (which has always proved to be a mistake). Active Mining's contribution to the hashrate, again if we take Ken at his word, is going to be negligibly small.

@GreekGeek: Absolutely. Glad someone else notices the obvious.
@SZZT: GreekGeek is doing exactly the same thing. Teh Forces of Evol are everywhere...

@GreekGeek: I was speaking tongue-in-cheek. Another guy who did basically the same thing you are doing was accused of manipulating the market & being the cause of halted trading. Sorry If it wasn't obvious, no offence meant.

@NotLambchop can you even read? "I HAVE NOT MOVE FROM CYPRUS"
You claimed that he was in Cyprus, in daily contact with his lawyers. He has stated that he was not in Cyprus. One of you is lying. Which one? Yes he cannot go for trip? (block passport) Yes he cannot call he lawyers (block phone number) Tell us more about the fleeing with his family I have time for entertainment Yes, he can go on a trip and leave Cyprus. That requires leaving Cyprus. Not being in Cyprus. Not being in two places at once. Like talking to a frickin' banana ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

@NotLambchop can you even read? "I HAVE NOT MOVE FROM CYPRUS"
You claimed that he was in Cyprus, in daily contact with his lawyers. Danny has stated that he was not in Cyprus. The two statements are mutually exclusive. One of you is lying. Which one?

... All Ken-bashing aside, it's a step in the wrong direction. Unless he can unload these things quick, this is typical "spend 1 coin today to mine 1/2 coin in a year." Who knows, he could be a great salesman, though. If he really flip these, he might ... nah. It's still Ken. Anyhow, the TL;DR: After a year spent learning that he could not design a 48, then 28, then 55nm ASICs, and botching every board he claimed to develop, this ASIC pioneer settled into ... reselling these babies from HashFast: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fhashfast.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F02%2FYoli-Evo-board_FINAL-white-WEB-e1392926017925.png&t=663&c=zurO-dkPXICm9g)

... Business trip to the UK. Pretty weird ay? Danny never took a business trip to UK before, right? ... Last i heard, UK has already discovered teh interweb. There are even a few newfangled things called cellphones in the wild there. To harp a bit longer on the weirdness, NeoBee is allegedly bigger than a one-man operation, so, unless everyone suddenly took a stagecoach to UK and forgot to charge their phones for a few weeks... @GreekGeek: I see your offer as an extremely suspicious attempt at price manipulation. As a precautionary measure, I'm halting trading on NYSE. Also: popcorn.

I'll take your word for it. I (think i) heard you're dealing with those, any idea what a 100-lot would cost? Thanks. .

Lol, wrapped some cardboard boxes in inkjet-printed labels, and took a pic of one HF board? Awesome.
To be fair, it does look like there's 25 other HF boards in anti-static bags. I'd say you're right, but it's Ken we're dealing with. Last time he said he was shipping product, turned out it was a single rack rail. So I wouldn't put it past him to stick old LAN cards in the bags. P.S. Haven't been keeping up with HashFast, but can't imagine they discount much on small lots. Any idea what a 100 lot would cost?

[–]andreasma 17 points 4 hours ago I have no information about the operations at Neo & Bee, I have only acted as a technical advisor. I am getting no communication from the firm and have not had any response to my messages. I have no investment involvement or insight, other than acting as a consultant on security architecture, providing advice over skype & telephone for their operations. I do not know anything more.
–]ViewSauce 2 points 38 minutes ago thanks for the reply Andreas, transparent as always. I have a question to ask, it sounds like Neo were running around with your name as an endorsement, is this the case with Nicosia Uni with you supposedly putting together modules for the "Digital Currencies" Master Degree. KR
TL;DR: No one knows anything, no one is neo, everyone's involvement is purely tangential so nobody's to blame. Honest mistake. Shit happens.

trade halted because of said manipulation silly, the one event your waves of fresh accounts seem to blatantly ignore.
How much do you buy those accounts anyway?
Unless Neo has manually transferred those shares to Havelock (why do it if you think the sales are suspicious?), whatever wackiness happened on LMB Holdings shouldn't affect Havelock trading. Re: LMB Holdings: These people want to run a fricking BANK? They want to keep MY money in that rinky dink system that already got hax0rd by a guy named "apples"? Right. Edit: NotLambchop didn't mean to say "apples" is a silly name. NotLambchop hopes btcappls was not offended.

^That circlejerk thread gives them some semblance of control, sorta makes up for all the buttsecs Ken surprises them with. Harmless.

I promise to build you a spaceship and start a colony on Mars. I collect your money, and even buy some plywood and 2x4s at Home Depot. Time passes. More time passes. Interplanetary travel takes time. I'm "paving the way" "disruptive technology" etc., etc.
After my earnest attempt at backyard rocketry, you learn that your money's all gone. This didn't start out as a scam, kthxbi.
I don't think their plans were that outlandish. I think everything that was in their plans was feasible and is still feasible. Except maybe the pegged accounts, but even that could at least have worked for a while. As far as I can tell they never even got round to, you know, implementing their products. Was there ever a demo of their POS solution? I vaguely recall there was, but I'm not sure. Outlandishness of a colony on Mars is not my point, rather "do we need to colonize Mars" and "is NotLambchop qualified to do it."
