Stable coins will have a future as long as the cryptos remain ultra-volatile. But in due course of time, along with the increase in the user-base, the proportion of the free-float coins will decrease. Once that happens, the volatility will also decline and this will be bad news for the stablecoins.

Intelligent and experienced traders will strictly adhere to their profit-booking and stop-loss targets. Such traders will never miss out on big spikes and they escape without major injury when the prices crash. The same can't be said about the rookie traders.

For the Indian sqaud, I hope Dhoni plays this world cup as it may be the last world cup for him after which he may choose to retire. He should be the captain instead of Virat as even though Virat has proved himself, his captaincy has not been as good as Dhonis and plus this is the World Cup and the entire team has new cricketers and I miss Ashwin's bowling. They can choose Raina too.
Dhoni is a very divisive figure and he has clear bias in favor of (ex)CSK players such as Raina, Ashwin.etc. Kohli is more or less unbiased and he cares more about the team rather than about his own individual performances. I don't think Dhoni is biased as he has chosen players like Nehra earlier who nobody could trust and Nehra proved himself. Dhoni reminds me of Kapil Dev who also used to trust the players and not think about himself. Kohli's captaincy is totally different and he still remains unsure of his selection just like Sachin was earlier "always under pressure". I think Kohli is more like Sourav Ganguly. His aggressiveness reminds me of Sourav. Dhoni is more mild mannered, like Sachin. And when Sachin was the captain, his performance got affected as a result of the added responsibility. This has never happened with Kohli.

Dhoni is 37 years old, right (38 in two months)? Being a keeper-batsman, I think he'll continue to play T20 cricket for another 4-5 years. And that is enough time for CSK to search and find new talent.
Let's say 38 years and let's say he will play more 4 years meaning you are asking Dhoni to play cricket when he is 42! Come on. I do not think he will go for this long journey. Why not? Look at players like Chris Gayle and Harbhajan Singh. They are on top form, and can easily carry on for another 4 or 5 years. Nowadays the vitamin suppliants and performance enhancing drugs are slowing down ageing and I would say that some of the players aged above 38 are performing much better than the youngsters in this edition of the IPL.

Zimbabwe won the toss and took bowling, UAE got all out for 110, showing very poor performance, Zimbabwe batting good 45/1 in 14 overs, if this is the way it goes then zimbabwe will win this serious easily. But in this type of series you can not say some time from winning side they lose the match also.
Zimbabwe will win this series easily, but that is not going to anything to improve their reputation. They failed to qualify for the world cup, and their performance against the top teams remain abysmal. I am pessimistic about the future of Zimbabwean cricket.

Can't say I proifted much, I paid way too high of fees on the exchanges, lesson learned on who to use and who not to next time. Right now I want to see how this next move shakes out. If I miss out on a big 30% move on some coins, so be it. I will sleep well tonight.
May turn out to be a very intelligent move. There are too many altcoins out there (10,000+ I guess), and the vast majority are either dead or dormant. There may be 2% or 3% which may perform well in the future, but that proportion is too low for me to invest in the alts.

After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.
Well... the problem is that there is no 100% accurate method to flag the scam projects. So many of the investors are now avoiding the ICOs altogether. Even during the first half of 2018, around 90% of the ICOs failed in the market. Now that figure may be even higher. I would say that the market conditions are not right for investment in the ICOs.

1000$ in few days ? Im impressed
Its showing early signs of a reversal if we can push it back upto 5K
Any thoughts ?
I Still feel we got some room to grow up
The prices have already hit 5K, and the last time I checked it was $5,225 per coin. IMO, there will be a slow growth from now onward. Anticipation is building up for the next block reward halving (due in around 12 months from now), and I believe that this is behind the current rally.

HODL is the best option now for all my altcoins. I will keep Hodling till the bearish market is over. Everyone was thinking that bull run will start toward the end of the year, instead, there is a consistent reduction in price. Let keep hodling next year will get better for everyone. I want to know what you feel, is there still hope for the remaining 18 days before the year end?
I wouldn't recommend long-term holding for altcoins which don't have solid basics. IMO, out of the 10,000+ altcoins (and tokens) out there, only 1% or 2% is going to survive for more than 5 years. I would advice you to go for partial profit booking.

I think if you have been in the market for about 3 years or so, you would understand that bulls doesn't run overnight. You don't need to rely on TA, just common sense and experience will do. Obviously, we need them to give more time and support so that when they engaged themselves it will be difficult for them to be stop and we don't know where they are going to stop, julst like what we have witnessed in 2017.
I've been around for more than 3 years and I would disagree with you. Back in 2017, there were a lot of instances when the exchange rates shot up more than 10% in a single day and as much as 50% in a week.

Till date all the casinos which have wanted to raise money or have an invest feature used to do it by launching a casino accepting investments in bitcoins and charging a commission on bets.
But now I see casinos like creating an altcoin, accepting investments and issuing tokens to be traded on an exchange and keeping all the money raised upfront in the ICO.
Isn't that scammy ? Why can't they just accept bitcoins as regular investments ? Creating an altcoin requires a lot of time and effort. If these casinos and churning out alts or tokens without much effort, then it means that they are just distributing copycats. I would never invest in such coins or tokens.

Yeah, there are lots of excitement among the cricket fans, including Bookies too and not to mention some fixtures like Ind Vs Pak match tickets already sold out and skyrocketing in the black market.
Still there is some uncertainty regarding that match. Recently, India and Pakistan were at the brink of war and the public opinion in India is against playing this match. There is a good chance that India will refuse to play, and forfeit the points to Pakistan.

~snip~ @Sithara007 You might wanna try some old wine sometime not only Harbhajan but majority player in CSK are old and their average age is above 30+ as a unit. so experience counts I think officially it's 31 + LOL My concern is that how CSK will perform in the future once they will not have Dhoni and other legends who are playing now. By the way, it was nice to see CSK to win yesterday. Dhoni is 37 years old (38 in two months), right? Being a keeper-batsman, I think he'll continue to play T20 cricket for another 4-5 years. And that is enough time for CSK to search and find new talent.

The population doesn't matter much. It's the number of countries which is going to matter. Let's compare: Cricket world cup: 10 countries Hockey world cup: 16 countries Football world cup: 48 countries (from 2026) Olympics: 206 countries Basketball: 32 countries Boxing: 85 countries Rugby 7s: 24 countries Volleyball: 24 countries Baseball: 16 countries Handball: 24 countries Taekwondo: 177 countries Just look at the above list, and it is clear that cricket is one of the least popular sports in the world. Just because cricket is played by the Indians and the Indian diaspora, it does not qualify as a global sport. And one more thing. The link that you had given has no source. How this 2.5 billion figure is reached? South Asia may contribute to 1 billion and Indian diaspora another 10 million. At the most cricket may have 1.1 billion fans. It has zero fans in nations such as China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, USA, Russia.etc.

I would like to know what you guys think about next year, Well... patience is the key.... The market has been in a depressed state for almost 15 months now. Some of the investors have sold their coins and moved on... but the majority are still holding on to their coins.

More than 90% of the exchange hacks turned out to be inside jobs. However, there is one noticeable exception - Mt Gox. The Gox funds were stolen by Russian gangsters led by Alexander Vinnik (according to the FBI).

There are several reasons for the slump in Bitcoin prices and none of them seems to be inter-related. Altcoins and ICOs played a major role in cannibalizing the crypto-currency market.

Already it is an universal currency, right? Bitcoin is being used by more than 100 million people in every nook and corner of the world. How many of the fiat currencies can claim such a wide acceptance?
