You people are trying to tell me that the word "nyan" is a registered trademark?
7363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NYAN] NyanCoin - ★★★THE FIRST OFFICIALLY LICENCED CRYPTOCURRENCY!★★★ on: January 23, 2014, 10:07:42 AM

It is my great pleasure to announce to you all that we have partnered with the creators of Nyancat to create the first officially licensed cryptocurrency in history!

It shouldn't be your pleasure. The idea of cryptocurrencies i that there is no central authority, no one to hold the bonds nor someone to come up and declare "what you own was created by me, I decide how you should use it". Why would you license a recreation of open source software with no rights management? You should actually feel bad that you'd be the first to do so.

Even with the scenario that you start mining now you're never going to have profit with this.

Please check for your own at http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

7366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 22, 2014, 08:56:40 AM
I know everybody is probably going to shoot me down in flames, But since yesterday something has changed, I'm no longer getting the hash rate I was, I've dropped at least ten percent overnight, I checked and double checked all my settings and temperatures , Reinstalled all mining apps, Tried every config i ever used and also the older versions of apps to see if I have lost my mind, But no , I have lost ''AT LEAST'' 170 Kh/s overall since yesterday, Its actually reporting less on my PC than i was getting yesterday, I cant see how it is possible, Everything is the same.

Queue everything is fine for me comments in ....Three ....Two...One

Please take your technical questions to another forum. Your problem is not specific to middlecoin so please don't clog this forum up any more than it already has been with spam and offtopic stuff.

Even the forum names you a newbie... Telling someone that he shouldn't have posted what he posted won't help anyone.
7367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Too late for script mining? on: January 22, 2014, 08:51:58 AM
Most cards have a 2-3 year warranty but you can't rely solely on that. Voltage instability can burn your cards so you should consider buying a UPS to be more secure if you're going to put lots of money in your rig. Also keep in mind that hardware loses value by time and use after you purchase it.
7368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Too late for script mining? on: January 22, 2014, 08:23:26 AM
It's not late and in my opinion it might never be late (maybe I'll explain my opinion further in another post). But you'll need to build your own mining rig witch requires certain amount knowledge. Also scrypt mining is much different than how the bitcoin mining works. By breaking it down you'll see that currently the most efficient way to mine is using a graphics card; graphics cards offer you a nice hashrate but still consume a lot of energy and produce much of heat since they weren't originally designed for running 24/7 in oc settings for solving computations such as these litecoin (or scrypt coins in general) mining requires.

You U.S.A. people can use www.joinsnapcard.com to pay your bills too.  Smiley

I've used their services several times to order virtual goods and their service is awesome.

All I did was to plug my computer in...
...and mine altcoins with OC settings, right? I don't think warranty works in that situation.

Actually I mine every day with some mild settings so I can work in my desktop at the same time. But I'm pretty sure this isn't the thing that caused my problem.

This time while I was doing nothing special, my pc shouts down instantly for no good reason. I guessed it was the voltage that jumped too high for a moment and caused it to shut down immediately such things happen sometimes where I live. I unplugged the computer and after a while I plug it back in and try to turn it on. That's when It happened.

It's a gigabyte 7950...With 2 exploded capacitors (they weren't capacitors). Pretty much unusable atm, My PC won't even boot! Sad Gigabyte has such a bad customer service in Greece. I'll have to take my card to where bought it tomorrow.  Any idea if burned capacitors fall in warranty? All I did was to plug my computer in...

Update: Good news, I took the computer to the store I got the card from and They'll return the card and fix it by next week.
7372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [STC] [GIVEAWAY] 100 Streamcoins each. on: January 20, 2014, 10:21:49 PM
Ok everyone, I had some problems with my system earlier today. 2 of the capacitors from my gpu burned when I tried to turn on my computer. After that my pc wouldn't boot; I tried removing the hard drive to save anything I could but I found out it's pins were really easy to be destroyed so I placed it back in quickly. I'm going to attempt to start my computer once more now. If it fails to start again maybe I'll talk with the dev tomorrow in case he can keep up the giveaways. Sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT: tried and my gpu showed me a beautifully executed FUCKING FIREWORK SHOW

7373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My gigabyte 7950 just exploded but still works?? on: January 20, 2014, 10:07:11 PM
Rig had crashed and was totally powered off.

Checked everything thought perhaps power supply had died.  Checked all the power wires. Hit the on switch a few times on the motherboard.

Bang - massive sparks and smoke from the board of the card.  Had heard these gigabytes windforce 3 explode after a while.

Strangely rig is up and hashing away fine now?

How is this card still hashing?  something seriously exploded from the board of this card?

DUDE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY CARD IN THE SAME FUCKING DAY!With the only exception that I run a single gpu system and now It won't boot. Do you think this is just a coincidence? I was mining in this new trademybit pool with the parameters I've been using for almost a year now while it happened.
