7361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2019, 07:28:47 AM
I'm watching one of my favorite movies and to be fair I'm a little drunk, that movie is midnight in Paris.

If Bitcoin gets me to the point where I am wealthy enough and I have paid off all my debts and children's debts, I want to build a dark little poorly lit bar, fill in with cigar smoke and drafts of my favorite imported beer. That's where I'll spend my little lonely Friday nights.

You can do that now! Unless your favorite draft beers are $20 a pint and you like to smoke Cuban cigars...

Wait.. has the price of Cubans come down in the last couple of years? It should have.

Tone Vays and Roger Ver section of Malta Blockchain Summit 2019 - Live Stream

They get into a pissing match about transaction fees. Roger says that you have to spend $3 for a BTC transaction fee, which makes it impractical for sending $5 worth of BTC... Vays says he hasn't paid more than a dollar for a fee in the last 9 months. He ends up sending Roger $5 of BTC with a 1 cent fee. Roger says if it confirms in the next 24 hours he'll donate $10,000 to Vays' charity of choice. It confirms in 10 hours.

Wonder if Roger held up his promise...

Facebook coin will most probaly a stable coin pegged to the USD, so chances of an amazing p&d is probaly small Tongue

Thus im seeing it more as a great oppurtinity for global adoption of crypto currency in general.

This is correct, its meant to be a stablecoin, and I don't think it will even be blockchain-based from what I read. Still, it is a digital money, so it could lead to further introduction of peeps to bitcoin.
7364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: May 25, 2019, 04:02:17 AM
As expected, Due to BCHs lack of hashrate miners are double spending and reorging on BCH blockchain. Here is when it occurred last time-

Its an interesting development but the markets don't seem to care... Price chart continues to look like a miniature version of BTC.

Maybe I should put a nice lil picture of my hat next to each comment in this thread. That way I feel like I'm a bit more part of the gang, and it might increase my chances of being invited to the $100k party. Its kind of like how newbies would include their signature text in their comment field after they got demoted when the merit requirements went into effect.

7367  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Fake Bills In Circulation" on: May 24, 2019, 11:51:17 AM
I am personally against the tagging of accounts for old offenses, including bill's. However, not all others feel the same way.

The problem is that almost every single person that has tagged me for buying bill gator have refused to tag nutildah (you) for attempting to sell a legendary account, with trust long after my "offense". They are refusing to treat iluvbitcoins case, blazed, even marlboroza's with the same principles. These "others" feel however is most convenient and try to wrap it up in concepts they will throwaway and belittle when the next situation arises.

Without having a consistent criteria for tagging these accounts we'll just keep running in circles of no accountability until the hypocrisy is even more egregious.
If the rule was that anyone involved in account buying/selling ever is to be tagged by at least half a dozen DT, then I wouldn't have anything to say.

I was honestly trying to remove myself from the drama.

Bill, the difference between you and me is you bought your account, and I didn't. We do not fall in the same category there.

Did you honestly believe nobody was going to tag you the moment you said you bought your account? Really you should be thankful for being the recipient of a special theymos intervention that has apparently allowed you to remain in your signature campaign.

Theymos' decision is the first of its kind I've ever seen, so consider yourself lucky to be part of special treatment enjoyed by less that 0.1% of the forum.

So I was Junior Member in this moment and wen I posted message 2 days ago my rank was newbie and thanks to @LouseV I am again JunMember.
I congratulate you to reach one of first step in the forum, and wish you will maintain your good posting habits, but you should correct your post a little bit. LoyceV, instead of LouseV
Thanks I it is done.

Actually it still says LouseV, and it made me laugh. Pretty sick burn. That'll teach him for meriting you!

Genuinely entertaining reinforcement of nonstandard idioms mate, oy!

7370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 24, 2019, 06:45:20 AM
Good morning WO,s

Reading the last pages, very interesting comments about the real life of the people, for this reason I always say that you have to read all the pages, you always learn something.

That's true. The dialog in here (for the most part) is more stimulating and educational than most other places on the forum.

In addition to this thread, which could be a child board of its own, my other favorite hangouts are in bold.

Bitcoin Discussion - 80% over run by shitposters but occasionally some good discussion
Press - some interesting discussion about news items, not well traversed
Development & Technical Discussion - never go there
Mining - there neither
Bitcoin Technical Support - never once
Project Development - never
Economics - only this thread
Marketplace - can't receive physical mail so I don't care
Trading Discussion - never
Scam Accusations - my bread & butter
Reputation - my favorite soap opera
Meta - good for interesting stats, making fun of the recently banned, when nothing new is happening in Reputation
Politics & Society - a reminder of why I hate politics, and society
Beginners & Help - some genuine altruism going on there but boring
Off-topic - absolute shit and madness, the lowest part of the forum's colon
Serious discussion - good but a bit too serious, hardly anyone posts there
Altcoin Discussion - 98% over run by shitposters, bounty hunters, other wretches
Announcements (Altcoins) - a stunning repository of scams, and home of some genuinely good projects. When I'm bored I got there to suss out malware-ridden clients/websites, plagiarized white papers and fake teams. Its fun, you should try it!

For my 5,000th post I have something special in mind, it will be posted in Scam Accusations. I feel I have more than enough evidence to proceed at this point. I surely will by then.
7371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2019, 05:21:47 PM
Dear mic,

As a WO friend to a friend... You don't want to be caught up in DT1 drama. It's a bastion of shit.

Just people shitting on each other so they can do what exactly? Wave a magic wand and allow other people to prop up or shit on other people? My one non-DT friend I brought on board to DT got:

1. excluded by DT
2. banned for plagiarism

While it may just be coincidental and non-related, just don't rush it. If you're meant for it, it will be. I have faith in the system. But still, its no fun.

Sincerely,

Uncle Nutildah
7372  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: May 23, 2019, 02:36:37 PM
Man, I tell you a secret: You can enjoy the forum without getting merits.
Talk for yourself, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms if I don't earn Merit for a day

Ha I knew you were a merit addict! Don't worry your secret is safe with me.

LoyceV account = 38.5 full member accounts.

Merited for the stats. The secret to mad merits is jaw dropping stats  Wink
7373  Economy / Lending / Re: No collateral, interest free 0.02 BTC loan to any Legendary member - experiment on: May 23, 2019, 11:34:27 AM
Bookmarked to see what happens.
7374  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 23, 2019, 08:55:07 AM
But you can try cashing out your bitcoins through LBC padala. It is somehow same as cebuana and you can also get your money instantly, you just need to present 2 valid ids. I already tried it and the process went well hence you might consider it as an option.

OK I can do that. In your (or anybody else's) opinion, is LBC better than Palawan Pawnshop or M Lhullier?
7375  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 08:31:57 AM
So when did you stop beating your wife? I am just asking a question...

I find this to be incredibly off topic, but rather than reporting it to the mods, I'll just answer it: Never.

And not because I'm still beating her, but because I've never been married.
7376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto - Evidence Here on: May 23, 2019, 08:28:49 AM
Quote from the press release of the US Copyright Office:

Quote
In the case of the two registrations issued to Mr. Wright, during the examination process, the Office took note of the well-known pseudonym “Satoshi Nakamoto,” and asked the applicant to confirm that Craig Steven Wright was the author and claimant of the works being registered. Mr. Wright made that confirmation. This correspondence is part of the public registration record.

Right, so the copyright office asked him if he was Satoshi, and he said "yes," and now its on record. Doesn't constitute proof of anything.
7377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2019, 08:12:18 AM
Just a random observation:

This hour (4 PM Manila, 4 AM New York, 9 AM London) seems to be when its the quietest in this thread.

Europe is still waking up, the late night owls and early risers are all asleep in America...

Things are in full swing across the Asian continent, where there aren't many English speakers, and then of course Oceania, where we seemingly don't have any WO representatives (maybe bones if I'm not mistaken).

See? That was a solid half hour between posts. Nuts.

OK time to stop procrastinating and do my goddamned work.
7378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The FREE Coin, the first cryptocurrency for global cryptocurrency usage on: May 23, 2019, 08:02:30 AM
BITBERRY does an airdrop of 100 000 FREE coin, participation limited to 40 000 persons.

100,000 FREE?! That's almost an entire pennyCheesy

You are pretty generous though, if 40,000 people sign up you will have given away $330 worth of FREE at today's prices.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.
7379  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 07:32:42 AM
So you're saying Foxpup is directing the plagiabot?

This seems to be one of your favorite games, speaking for me. I will speak for myself thanks. I am saying what I said, not what you imagine I said.

It was a question, a "yes" or "no" one at that.

One of the two answers would have sufficed, but you managed to invent a new answer, which was "cunty."
7380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto - Evidence Here on: May 23, 2019, 07:23:48 AM
Yeh he was so concerned about anonymity that he paid for Bitcoin.org domain with credit card in 2008 and got Australian Tax record for it.

Again, you offer zero evidence of this being true other than because a pathological liar said its true.

Meanwhile, in Bitcoin world:

Meanwhile in the real world, the U.S. Copyright Office has completely debunked your earlier assertions:
