7381  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Miner status - no ASIC readings on: December 04, 2018, 11:36:56 PM
Code:
do read temp on Chain[5]
Chain[5] Chip[62] TempTypeID=55 middle offset=32
Chain[5] Chip[62] local Temp=60
read failed on Chain[5] Chip[1] middle Temp old value:0
Special fix Chain[5] Chip[1] middle Temp = 15
Done read temp on Chain[5]
do read temp on Chain[6]
Done read temp on Chain[6]
do read temp on Chain[7]
Done read temp on Chain[7]
set FAN speed according to: temp_highest=0 temp_top1[PWM_T]=0 temp_top1[TEMP_POS_LOCAL]=0 temp_change=-62 fix_fan_steps=0
set full FAN speed...
FAN PWM: 100
read_temp_func Done!
CRC error counter=36578

This is a hardware issue only chain 5 has temp result but a weird result, both chain 6 and 7 no temp result and then after reading temp on fan
it shows lots of error "CRC error counter=36578".

If you have extra s9 try to replace PSU and 2 fans and cables then check it again.

Also, check this guide on how to troubleshoot the miner Possible problems and solutions for S7, S9 (fixed frequency) & L3+
7382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whale owning more than $1 billion BTC just moved 66,000 BTC - Poss Dump Incoming on: December 03, 2018, 11:28:31 PM
Are you trying to start a FUD here?

According to some thread that I found here in the forum this address "1EBHA1ckUWzNKN7BMfDwGTx6GKEbADUozX" is connected to MT. Gox wallet but I think they just transfer it to get the fork coins BCH, BTG and 2 new fork coins from BCH to convert it back to bitcoin and help boost the price. It's just my speculation but it maybe happens.

Another blog that I found is this http://bitcoinadderiinfo.blogspot.com/p/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
The bitcoin address above is listed on the top 100 and I think this wallet is connected to the big exchange site.
7383  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to open Nibble wallet. on: December 03, 2018, 10:56:45 PM
Are you referring to this Nibble?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209035.0

If yes, just read through that post and you'll find the "Download the Clients" part which contains the wallet download links. If not or still confused, try the option that was mentioned by @bL4nkcode above.

I don't think if this is the one he is talking about maybe he is looking for a new one called nibble classic that I think still under develop look at this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5074823.0

but he can make a paper wallet from this link http://138.68.155.173/ or if he has a Linux OS installed on his OS machine he can get the client from here https://github.com/Sudosups/NBX/releases

7384  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-03]Crypto Mining Malware has Become a New Way of Tricking Innocent User on: December 03, 2018, 08:59:14 PM

I don't understand. How's buying Monero or other privacy-focused altcoins can be dangerous? Also, how do they install malware on crypto mining machines?
No, they don't but there are some malware that can steal your CPU usage and use for mining XMR. Some website could also steal your CPU usage every time you visit the site same as the pirate bay website.

And one more question, as long we are talking about this. Until recently there was was this message on the front page of The Pirate Bay:

But it is not there anymore. Does it mean they have stopped mining XMR or they have just decided to not warn you?

Old pirate bay has seized by FBI  that I think the original website is no longer work. There are many TPB clones which I think still have this script in their own website if you don't have adblocker or mining blocker in your chrome or firefox the script will steal your CPU usage and mine XMR. So if you don't experience high CPU usage your desktop or laptop when accessing the clone piratebay it means that they don't have this mining script and maybe it is another clone of other piratebay websites that don't know how to put the mining script in their own website.
7385  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Miner status - no ASIC readings on: December 03, 2018, 08:09:53 PM
I think you can fix this problem by flashing it to a new firmware. The program might be corrupted that's why it give you buggy result from your dashboard.

If you can paste your kernel logs here or in paste.com and put the link here we will try to check if the miner is a software related issue or hardware issue but first try to flash it with auto_freq firmware.

You can download the firmware from Bitmain here https://service.bitmain.com/support/download
7386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I post images in the forum? on: December 03, 2018, 06:18:28 PM

Where do I pay?
How will they know that I pay?
Check this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

after you pay and get 1 confirmation in your transaction just reload the page and you will see your account has copper member under your bitcointalk username.
7387  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 100 BTC bounty for anyone that can help me crack Electrum password on: December 03, 2018, 12:14:41 AM
If you know few parts of the password you can recover it using the BTCrecovery tool this is mostly used if you can remember some parts of the seed or password.

Check this link https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover

However, if you can't remember most of your password or seeds you will never recover it using this tool.
7388  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshibox.com withdrawal, does not work 5 days !!! on: December 02, 2018, 08:33:36 PM
It still does not work, it's been 5 days.
Does anyone else have such a situation now?

There are many sellers complaint about withdrawal issues here in the forum and never heard that they solve their issue from satoshibox.

According to some reviews, the site has no seller and buyers protection which I think that this site will never be trusted.

Look at the other users who experience the same issue below
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2779333
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4523313.0

So my suggestion is to stay away from Satoshibox or much better to switch on other similar services like bitify and selly.gg
7389  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: December 02, 2018, 07:09:09 PM
I have an S9J with a bricked control board. Is there a way for me to run braiins os off of sd? I tried and no go, any help?

Never heard that someone could successfully flash the s9 miner through sd card. According to Bitmain "it cannot be done through SD card flashing".

Anyway, have you tried the method from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2386296.0

I'm sure you can fix this issue by following the method above.
7390  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Half of all Phishing Sites Now Have the Padlock Sign on: December 02, 2018, 06:21:00 PM
They can buy cheap SSL in some hosting sites pretty easily these days and they can make phishing sites without giving their real information or they can use a whois guard to protect their information and I think they can also make a prepaid VISA or Master card without KYC and use it to buy a domain and hosting with fake info.

I remembered the news before about apple.com that hackers make a domain name the same as apple.com using a Punycode and lots of people victim with this phishing site before.

That is why we always need to keep checking the URL if the character is correct because there are some phishing site URL looks the same as the original site and always make sure that don't use or should not use the same password as you use in your email or don't give your real information without scanning it using virustotal.

You can make your own password database by saving the password on a spreadsheet just to make sure your email and important accounts are safe and always use an updated antivirus like Kaspersky I used this antivirus for how many years it can block all phishing site and it has a Punycode detection so your PC is safe for any malware and viruses but Kaspersky is expensive compared to other antivirus software.
7391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ Help Fix ] Warning! Error encountered during contract execution [Out of gas] on: December 02, 2018, 05:30:09 PM
Wrong section this is related to altcoin section so you must move this thread to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php#6

Anyway, I think you need to change the gas price to standard gas price you can check the updated gas price from here https://ethgasstation.info/
7392  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9J Control Board (Bricked?) After Update Help on: December 02, 2018, 04:20:13 PM
The only way that I know to fix brick s9 is to flash the control board through "USB to serial converter".
There is a guide here on the forum how to fix this bricked control board.

Check this thread

7393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptosoul on: November 30, 2018, 10:21:53 PM
Honestly, it's not a coin according to the website you can win a token if you win on the game.

Never heard this project before but it seems this token is new and according to the roadmap the cryptosoul game will be launch on January 2019.
So this might be the reason why the game is not loading properly and the game still under development.

And I tried to check the game, downloaded and scan the file to virustotal but the result detects 1 / 68 "suspicious.low.ml.score" means that the game file is not safe.

Better to contact their support from telegram from here https://t.me/CryptoSoulENG
7394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: n00b question: how do I give someone a receipt for payment? on: November 30, 2018, 09:51:55 PM
I think adding the TXID on the receipt is enough as a proof that you deal with the customer and I think you can edit the label of your bitcoin address or wallet and sync. If you are using electrum wallet you can follow this guide from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1152932.0 this is only works on electrum to electrum but if you are using other wallets you can check how to put a label or tag below.

If you want to verify that the customer sends you bitcoin you must ask the customer to make a sign message as a proof that s/he owns the bitcoin address that s/he used when sending a bitcoin.

You can make a label or tag for your public key or bitcoin address from here https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tags
7395  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Strange problem with miners, help needed on: November 30, 2018, 08:38:37 PM
According to your kernel logs "bmminer not found, restart bmminer ..."
This might be the reason why the miner keeps rebooting. The only way that I know you can fix this is to reflash it with other firmware.

Can you try to flash it with this firmware Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz
Or downgrade it to "November firmware".

Edit:
It looks like its unable to detect the chain 5,6 and 7 temps. There is something wrong reading the temp, not a software it looks like a faulty sensor.

Code:
chain[5] has no middle temp, use special fix mode.
chain[6] temp offset record: 62,0,0,0,0,0,35,28
chain[6] temp chip I2C addr=0x98
chain[6] has no middle temp, use special fix mode.
chain[7] temp offset record: 62,0,0,0,0,0,35,28
chain[7] temp chip I2C addr=0x98
chain[7] has no middle temp, use special fix mode.
7396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BCH / BSV splitting advice needed on: November 28, 2018, 04:39:58 PM
I don't have much knowledge splitting BSV from BCH but I tried to search on google and I found a post from Coinomi support that they release a tool for BCH(ABC)/BSV Fork.

You can split it manually with your own by following the guide from here https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000026274-bch-abc-bsv-fork-information-splitter-tool

7397  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Binance) - JS.Trojan.Nemucod.K Trojan threat found in Binance Mac Client on: November 27, 2018, 11:04:43 PM
This is an old issue but I don't know if binance fixed this issue.

Look at this post https://www.reddit.com/r/binance/comments/9w83wp/bitdefender_flagging_binance_macos_app/

According to some post out there, it's a false positive. So you don't need to be worry.

If you doubt that it's not safe better to don't use their client app instead trade directly to binance site.
7398  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do when price falls? on: November 27, 2018, 10:34:18 PM
Well, for me, once people start to panic I don't mind selling my bitcoin even the price is cheap so before it goes to the deep price I sold my bitcoin while crashing.

I don't need to think twice because it already breaks the 6k resistance. So if I continue to hold I'm sure that I'll regret later that is why I sold it first before the price fell below $5500 which I think the right decision.

Look at the price right now it's around $3,800 so, I think this is the right time to convert it back to bitcoin.
7399  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer cannot connect through a netgear 3G/LTE modem on: November 27, 2018, 09:48:38 PM
No, according to the manual of netgear LB2120 it has DHCP server enabled by default.

Take a look at this manual to verify http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/LB2120/LB2120_UM_EN.pdf

@OP The modem has two ethernet socket, the Lan and Wan sockets. So, I think you need an extra router for this because it only has one Lan.

Wan is for internet source so you should not plug the miner in this socket.
7400  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Bitmain Release AsicBoost for T9+ on: November 26, 2018, 11:46:48 PM
Have you tried to reset it to factory default after the upgrade?
You can reset the t9+ by holding a reset button or holding IP report button for 15 to 20 seconds or check the guide from here https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957

If you don't reset it before you run it there is a high chance that the firmware will not run properly. So, by resetting it to factory default the miner will refresh and the program will run properly.
