@slaman29: it was 20. I watched and counted. We had 19 at 90 minutes when injury time came calling but we only managed to get the one more point, so close, but no cigar. If only that penalty had gone in... LOL @LFC_Bitcoin English French, English German, lot of history indeed;) Alas it wasn't, was hoping the same too. Still, Sweden/Ukraine could be good. Long as we win eh? Its officially a bust for the top 16 BJ special, its currently 24 goals and we still have 2 matches to go tonight. There are tons of goal on this top 16 rounds but on the bright side, its currently 118 total goals scored throughout the Euro so atleast we are almost guaranteed to hit that 120 goals special bet to make up for this one ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Ended up as a hedge after all, I totally don't mind busting for the 120 goals. Almost there guys, we may even see it before the QFs at this rate;) But first, in a few minutes now, Germany or shall I pledge allegiance to Premier League and Hendo?

The current minimum fee rate for using their free accelerator is much higher than 1 sat/vbyte. For free acceleration, the free rate must be at least 10 sat/byte. For accelerating any transaction paying lower than 10 sat/byte, you have to use their paid service.
Damn. I just checked and I mistakenly thought I was commenting on Antpool, which still works for me without restrictions on 1 sat/vbyte. Link already shared by Bitcoin_Arena. Sorry, my bad, read it but brain computed wrongly. Viabtc wors as described by above quoted comment.

Thanks OP for making this thread and Cobra for responding.
I initially didn't think too much of the issue but overlooked the fact that you could very well be doxed and then dragged through painful and expensive litigation.
I do think there must be a lot of other options we can't yet see and perhaps even there must be someone out there willing to take on this case to defend pro bono.
Bitcoin has been good to me though. I will feel obliged to at least put tangible support behind this. Let's see how serious it really is first or how far it is legally able to go.

We might not want that to become true hehe. Tether and presently also USDC appear to be supporting the whole cryptospace market. If they die, the market’s liquidity dies by maybe 50% or more?
Also, I was excited about strike.me’s original plan in El Salvador because it would redollarize the country through a stablecoin without owning a Federal Reserve printer hehehe. It would have given Tether real utility.
It'll be a setback for sure, but one I'm willing to take for the medium-term. I'm not one to discredit any external factor. We be hating on them stablecoins and influencers and what-haves but they've all gone and done their bit, can't disregard that. If they die, Bitcoin remains, and there'll be other forms of liquidity, arguably more organic and more resilient. On El-Salvador, that's a point. They dollarised, and failed. Redollarisation isn't a magic wand, they found that out (neither is Bitcoin).

Crazy, crazy night Trofo. Croatia kind of ruined it for me -- didn't win, and also didn't let Spain win at FT so I lost bets both ways (I never go for draws, you know me). But the entertainment, man. Top class all around. It's got to be because of the weirdness everywhere from pandemic and what not right? Anyway, time to update calculations and put just one bet for today, and it's on the slight upset: 100 units at Sportsbet on Germany and Ukraine to WIN @10.60. Other odds: 9.99 Units advantage: 61 Running advantage after 394 bets: +26,318 (19+61=80) All-time cumulative: +64,716 Running units after 393 bets (63W|330L): +14,578 (-200)

Hands up guys, if anyone predicted 3-3 draws at full time, my respect. But France getting kicked out means half of my outrights are dead in the water, but the Swiss will be heroes for dumping out the favs. I didn't even watch ET -- domestic duties haha. 120 goals special easy peasy. Record-setting EURO? Spain goalkeeper just had an absolute nightmare, a real schoolboy error. Reminds me of Karius in the 2018 CL Final. Spain have work to do now, wow.
Edit - It’s 1-1 @ HT. Really could go either way now, everything to play for. We could see extra time & penalties here.
I said the exact same thing last night with my kid. Then again, every time we see a keeper boo-boo he looks at me and whispers: "Karius".

^ Same here, was doing my regular max bet and it didn't go through. On the bright side, maybe it's because we'll definitely 100% certainly for sure without a doubt win tonight? But looks like we're in danger of a bust now for our Last 16 BJ special, Croatia taking the game to ET with THAT goal haha. Hope this ends 4-3 as it is, so we can get two 1-0s and a 2-0 final game to snatch it, eh? Edit: scratch that. 5-3. You were saying, @icopress? =p Another silver lining: our penalties special is safe? =D

It still works and it's free. The only restriction they had before was fees had to be 1 sat/vbyte at minimum but since it's no longer possible to send anything less anyway (I know technically you can but if you already knew a miner to take it you wouldn't need an accelerator anyway) it's practically restriction-free. Haven't really had to use it except to push along naughty low-fee many-input txs;)

You are afraid for France? Don't worry they will pass through Swiss team like hot knife trough butter. Croatia will give hell to Spain though, this is the time when we start to be dangerous. I am expecting a low scoring draw and us passing on penalties ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) That's the problem. I'm not afraid and put them on almost every parlay I had from the weekend, but of course ruined by NL and Italy who both somehow forgot they were playing a proper tournament. I rebet on France but with Mbappe goal (come on, he has to score right?) but if they and Spain both take early lead, I'll allow Croatia to win the FT game haha. Inspired by your confidence: 100 units at Sportsbet on Croatia to WIN vs Spain@6.99. Other odds: 6.80 Units advantage: 19 I'll add calculations tomorrow;)

This is a healthy makeup we got in this here forum, that's for sure. I'm beginning now to use proudhon and sgbett's predictions as my worst-case scenario settings -- and actually am not too unhappy with that (with perhaps the difference being I'm only using the 2021 timeframe as I'd really like to diverge farther in '22).
And that's credit to you OP;) When did you say 19/12k again?

Nice day to kill all of my weekend bets dead haha. Couldn't even get the favourites right, or get any of the goalscorers on board. EURO huh! Here's a rather dumb bet, given how late the goals have come, but since I'm not doing well parlaying anyway, I figure this boosted special is worth a punt. France is the danger here! 100 units at Sportsbet on France and Spain to lead at 29:59 @9.00. Other odds: not sure but even Half time wins aren't so great. Bet ID: 60d9c341fe7f9612745291a6 Running advantage after 392 bets: +26,238 (-) All-time cumulative: +64,636 Running units after 391 bets (63W|328L): +14,778 (-400)

I might be alone on this one, but I'm actually hoping a digital dollar (if it happens) does result in the demise of corporate stablecoins. People sometimes compare fiat to IOUs. But at least they're the original IOU. Not a secondary IOU that supposedly represents the primary one, but likely isn't backed 1:1, so you don't actually know whether your secondary IOU represents anything useful at all.
If it weren't for laziness and ignorance, stablecoins would never have gained traction to begin with. The sooner they die, the better.
Likely? If banks in the US are in an indefinite period of doing away with fractional reserves, I really can't see why they'd want need or want to back any of those digital IOUs with anything more than the obligatory inspection pass. At least now, it'll be backed by whatever certainties the world's largest (as yet) superpower can offer. But when the usurper in the East flexes for real, I wonder what happens. P.S. You're not alone.

Surprise surprise, that was unexpected even by most Czechia fans lol! Wonder know how many lucky people multiplied their bets by 6 today! Belgium - Portugal match started, BTTS seems attractive @2.05, placed a tiny bet since I am not very confident about how the game will finish here.
I actually took it very close to 7/1, something like 6.96 anyway, just about 15 mins before the match. Am sure there were thousands of Czechs who took the bet, small money maybe but what a night, all the winnings probably thrown away on their finest pilsner haha! Belgium well worth betting on for scoring. Sweet goal from Hazard-not-Eden, but Patricio will feel let down. There goes 2 of 5 of my outrights haha...

And now it's 104 goals after the Czech upset plus that slimmest of Belgian wins. It's finely balanced, and I know I've asked before and confirmed myself: there's no 3rd place game so we do indeed have 11 more games now to get 17 goals. Still confident because of ET! Really don't know what to think of that red card. It seems a bit harsh to me to get red card for that situation but if you look at it as an intentional handball from last man in defense than referee did not have any choice. But that situation was not so straight forward, De Ligt was falling and I am sure some referees would give foul in attack for that and stop the play before hand ball. Malen should have score in the previus attack and we would not be talking about this situation I am just sad that such important game got turned on that one "mistake" but not taking anything away from Czech players. They were superb whole match even when it was 11 on 11 game. Yeah, it was an entertaining game with a tight contest between the two, and I do still feel without VAR, we would have seen Austria progress yesterday, and then today this red card I didn't even realise was coming until the VAR check came on. It's my chosen underdog (NL) out now so I should feel aggrieved but as you said, if the earlier play just went in, this would have been a different game. Football, huh?
|
|
|
We finally had the first upset of the KO stages, and I think apart from the red card talking point, fully deserved. Schick has got to be the man of the tournament so far if he takes Czech to the Semis, with a goal of the tourney still surely his (don't argue, that crazy inswinging halfway-line goal was a feat). And he'll deserve every bit of it.
Now, Lukaku and Ronaldo, remind us why we watch football please =)

|
I took a last minute hedge on Czech outright with a boost so it is a 7/1 win for me, but that only pays me back for some parlays I took involving Netherlands today. Scorer special is out as well as Depay didn't score.
What a crazy day of football so far. The red card still bemuses me but if the ref took a good look with VAR, then I trust he got the right call (didn't get a good view myself).
High-scoring games so far, huh guys? Relatively, anyway.

Ah no, a crypto winter's a lot deeper, worrying and scarier than this, JPM. We're talking 25% dips in the blink of an eye, ICOs (now IDOs) raising zero, exchanges crashing, ETH shedding over 90% of ATH value. Liquidations the order of business and signal groups shutting down subscriptions.
We're not there yet.
P.S. Is it a bit crazy I never knew this Bollinger guy is a thing and even still actively analysing?
|
|
|
So I should just let go of all my BTC now and wait for $10k to triple my Bitcoin huh? But nah, I'm happy to hold and let others buy the dip. Though that's gonna be some kind of dip.
Dead cat bounces, nothing new but would really be kind of cool (if a little scary) to go below $20k -- since it's never happened that Bitcoin goes below an ATH it's already passed in a new cycle.

Its looking great and we still have 13 matches to go. We will probably get 6-10 goals for the rest of the top 16 matches. At this rate we might even hit it before the Final.
As icopress points out, plenty of hedging opportunities on all of these specials, so yeah, I'm really looking forward to today, it'll give us a pretty good picture of how far we are away from the 120-goal and the Blackjack. I've been adding predictions with high scoring counts and while haven't got them right so far, goal count has been accurate! In fact, if we get another high-scoring set today, might even be good to scout on the hedging on final game early!
