Anyone know of a genuinely free transaction accelerator?

I've had a transaction stuck in the network for about a day now, and I thought I'd sent it with an appropriately high fee (I used Electrum and had the fee determined by the mempool) but apparently I was way off.  I had RBF off, so I used the "child pays for parent function" to boost the fee, but the Tx is still stuck.

Are there any legitimate free transaction accelerators out there?  I'd increase the fee if I could, but I can't--and I didn't realize there was any congestion in the network.  I'd appreciate any advice.

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but I always go with https://bitaccelerate.com and the transaction usually starts to go through a little while later. It does look like there is quite a bit of activity on the blockchain right now, especially compared to what there was yesterday morning and if the fee was really low it might be stuck for a while until the activity drops down again. I've tried a few accelerators in the past and this one was always the most successful, it's linked with https://bitcoinfees.net as well which is a nice representation of the current volume of outstanding transactions.

That site does not accelerate a transaction. It simply rebroadcasts a transaction, which is something that most wallets can do (and some wallets do it automatically). Rebroadcast only helps if the transaction has been dropped from the mempool, which is rarely the problem.

I have never used an accelerator, but I know that viabtc's accelerator (https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/) is free, though there are some restrictions. And be careful, because there are many spoof sites.

Also, if you can wait a little longer, the difficulty will be dropping soon. That will result in higher throughput, and the mempool may clear again as a result.

That site does not accelerate a transaction. It simply rebroadcasts a transaction, which is something that your wallet can do (and some do it automatically).

Yeah, that's what I figured--plus I'd already tried it and did search before I started this thread.  I also tried ViaBTC's accelerator that you linked to, but it said they're overloaded with requests right now.  I assumed ViaBTC would be the only free one out there, since I remembered their name from a long time ago, but it's been a while and figured there might be some new, free ones around.

Having said that, Bitaccelerate is never a transaction accelerator and it only rebroadcast the transaction and the only legitimate transaction accelerator I know is viabtc.

You can try again in the next hour but you have to be really quick since their free service is limited to 100 transactions per hour.

It still works and it's free. The only restriction they had before was fees had to be 1 sat/vbyte at minimum but since it's no longer possible to send anything less anyway (I know technically you can but if you already knew a miner to take it you wouldn't need an accelerator anyway) it's practically restriction-free. Haven't really had to use it except to push along naughty low-fee many-input txs;)

OK, if I had to take a suggestion on an accelerator I haven't used before, you're the person I'd take it from (no offense intended toward those who suggested ones I've already tried).  So I just entered the TxID in there, and we'll see what happens.  Keeping my fingers crossed and will report back here if it works by the end of the day.

This one works just like bitaccelerate.com via rebroadcasting a transaction to the nodes but doesn't help include the transaction into the next block like viaBTC's miners do.

If the fee rate is so low, the rebroadcasting method can't help but for ViaBTC's transaction accelerator, the miners themselves will help anyone desperate to get their low fee transaction confirmed quickly by including it into the next block their pool will mine if it's among the 100 slots provided per hour.


OP another free legitimate transaction accelerator that works like ViaBTC's is the one of antpool (https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm) but the link will first redirect you to create an account with Bitmain which is very easy.

This is what im using when it comes to free tx accelerator and i dont know if it was effective or not as long i do make use of those free accelerators out of those google searches that i made as long i do able to input my address and wont be paying up anything then that would count.

I dont see on paying up more fee would be pushing the tx more faster this is why when i do make use of Electrum i do really enable that RBF in case there are sudden bloat of  transactions in the mempool.

Currently as of this writing there are 57k pending transactions which i dont see for transactions would took long 1-44 sats per byte is where most
transactions get stucked.

That bitaccelerate website didn't worked for me. I've tried it many times and nothing really happened, it's only viabtc's free acceleration service that always helps me out. If they're currently full, wait until the time goes xx:00 as they are resetting hourly. For sure that your transaction will be confirmed as long as the fee has passed their minimum fee. It's the one that I'm always using if I've got stuck in transaction, I'm just patiently waiting until the time resets and they got a better visual right now because they're showing how many transactions are still available within the hour.

Well, if one reads a tiny bit on that page, the 3rd sentence tells it clearly: "Our service will rebroadcast the transaction via 10 Bitcoin nodes."
This can hardly be called acceleration, but that's what most "accelerators" do.

ViaBTC's accelerator does work, but it's hard to catch and your tx has to have more than 10 sat/byte (not vByte!) fee. If you had that fee, your tx should be confirmed by now.
An advice for the future: if you get into the same situation, post the tx ID. Or if you don't want it so public, just PM some people here and there. I can try to accelerate, Lucius even made a thread where he helps people by sending their tx to ViaBTC...

How do you push your transaction in viabtc OP?

If you aren't using a timer that has seconds on your side, this is the sign. This makes pushing your transaction 1-3 seconds after a new hour easier as you can properly gauge how far is the new hour from xx:59.

To OP:
As already stated by NeuroticFish, your transaction fee rate is probably less than 10 sat/byte and you can't use their free service.
Even if you have made the CPFP transaction with more than 10 sat/byte, you won't be able to use their free service. They don't accelerate transactions that have unconfirmed parents freely.

It is not accelerating a transaction as the true accelerator does:

In short, is doing nothing to help you when your transaction is stuck in the mempool, the simple fact that it manages to identify your transaction by the hash it means your transaction is already in the mempool so rebroadcasting it again is a waste of time!

I checked it out too. All it does is help rebroadcast through different free rebroadcasting services which is exactly how bitaccelerate works but It doesn't raise any odds of the transaction getting included in the next block if the fee is so low. ViaBTC also has such a free rebroadcasting service like stompix has pointed out.

The actual transaction accelerator of viaBTC which works like that of BTC.com (https://pushtx.btc.com) gives 100 free slots every hour.
Another free alternative that works effectively is the antpool link I shared in the other reply.

Yeah, that's what I've learned from rebroadcasting transaction and it's not really pushing transactions and it's very different from accelerating the transactions that's being sent to them.
