741  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: September 14, 2017, 04:43:44 AM
I do not think that kids should be taught about bitcoin just yet -both kids and teenagers alike. What should be taught to them is how to spend money smartly (such as knowing when to spend, when to save, what to save for... etc.)

Bitcoin is a bit too advanced for most people and takes an extensive knowledge to know cryptocurrencies at a decent level.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN]⚡ OPPORTY ⚡ Decentralized Self-Regulated Business Community Platform ⚡ on: September 14, 2017, 01:20:08 AM
Interesting approach of the blockchain. Put this one in my favorites.

You should rework a little bit on your presentation, it's very important now among all these ICOs, even if your project could beat most of them, people need to want to want to look into it.

Thank you all for your positive feedback!

Dave111223, what exactly do you mean by re-work presentation? Perhaps you could help me out so I can edit the thread if possible.

743  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [13-09-2017] SMH JPMorgan's Dimon says bitcoin 'is a fraud' on: September 13, 2017, 12:22:54 PM
Quite sadly, there will always be people who just hate bitcoin and cryptocurrencies altogether. There is just nothing that can be done about that.

JP and their gang is just full of BS, filled to the brink. They are the real criminals of this world, and not the people serving time in jail right now (while they are still very much criminals and they deserve to spend time there for their wrong deeds.) I just wonder till how long Dimon can continue, destroying many people's lives and livelihoods in the process of doing so. Why would they not be afraid of bitcoin? All bitcoin does is provide a currency that belongs to the people, and not a single person or group of people. For people like Dimon this is complete doom.

They call Bitcoin a fraud? Then would they care to explain this? http://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/jpmorgan-chase

"People in glass houses, should not throw stones." We know all about JP Morgan's fraudulent history and how Jamie Dimon's salary is paid. They even got tax payers money to bail them out, when they nearly helped to cause a global economic collapse.

We know who the real fraudster are and they never got jail time for that. ^hmmmmmm^

Not to mention, Dimon knows better than anyone the extent to which Federal Reserve money printing constitutes JPMorgan's trading profits (how much of JP Morgan's revenue comes from fed dollar printing, period?)

Dimon is afraid. Him and the world's fake capitalists, underwritten by government gangsterism, are becoming increasingly aware that real capitalism is coming, against which him and his cronies will be unable to compete. It's like a baby spitting out it's quantitative easing dummy and crying.

I completely agree with what you have to say. This whole fake capitalistic society is just doomed to collapse.
744  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will Bitcoin be worth in 5 years? on: September 13, 2017, 12:10:10 PM
What are your predictions?

I think bitcoin has a very bright future in the next 5 years or so. From what we can see in the past few months, the sheer volume of bitcoins being traded is on a rise, and not to mention the actual price!
I would predict bitcoin to sit comfortably between $10,000 USD to $20,000 easily within the next 5 years.

However, I guess Bitcoin is just too volatile to predict, as this has been proven before in the past. (Well, at least for me). Bottom line - the price will still be on the increase and it is safe / should be done to invest in bitcoin where possible.
745  Economy / Services / Re: ★★ Translation Campaign for Narbonne ★★ [0.01 Per Valid Translation] on: September 13, 2017, 11:47:35 AM
Do you by any chance need a Hungarian translation? I will be more than happy to do it if needed  Smiley
Hungarian is my native language and I am able to speak/read/write it at a high level.

I know it is not in the 'top' 10 languages, but its worth asking.

Regards, I await your response.
746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Feeling good about the dip / down on: September 13, 2017, 11:36:11 AM
if it goes parabolic for too long, then I feel it makes take longer to recover in the longer term after the correction. This kind of dip or down, makes me think we have not see an all time high yet, and that the price has a higher floor.

Bitcoin will always dip up and down. Like in anything real in this world, it will have its good and bad days. However, I think we can certainly expect lots more from Bitccoin's price in the near future. It looks like Bitcoin is falling again and is currently @3900 USD as of this moment.

We should still be able to see the price grow back in a matter of days, if not hours.
747  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: What can police do if you get scammed? on: September 13, 2017, 09:35:33 AM
Hi, I have a friend that has got scammed yesterday.
He was searching on youtube about Bitcoins and he found a video about a Bitcoin Generator. He trusted it (He is noob at pc and money so he didn't know about scams).
He downloaded the program, he launched it and there was "You have to deposite 0.01 btc to [wallet address] to activate the generator". He deposited it   Undecided
He restarted the program and nothing happened... he lost the money.
He want to report this to the police... can he do that? Will the police do anything? Will my friend get back his bitcoins?

Reporting to the police usually will not help as most users might be in international territory to you and Police have no reach there, only if an international lawsuit is filed with solid evidence to back yourself up with. (I think this is how it works, but I may be wrong). It is just a waste of time to report him now as there will be nothing done against the scammer in question. Usually you will have no concrete evidence to get a proper response from the police.

Most of the sign up campaign participants have been paid out.

Hello! Just following up on the Hungarian translator position you have given me. I will have everything done by tomorrow this time. I am currently filled up with other work and I also did not want to post anything till I have become at least Junior Member (for the images to show when a post is made).
I hope this finds you well @aTriz and I am not late.

ICO DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED

Problem:
There are certain risks in doing business online, due to high numbers of fraudulent customers and service providers, and frequent misunderstandings about contract conditions. This often leads to court trials, resulting in financial losses for both parties.

Solution:
Opporty offers blockchain-powered smart contracts which are completely immutable, meaning that neither party can demand anything that was not agreed to in the smart contract. Escrow arbitrators and oracles supervise fair execution of signed agreements. The platform ensures transparency and security, creating an environment of cooperation that instills trust between parties.

751  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallets on: September 13, 2017, 12:10:14 AM
Which is the best wallet for bitcoin with the tiniest fees?

It matters what you want. Bottom line - keep away from exchanges. Sites such as Coinbase are not too secure and have high transaction fees as well as being slow at sending out the actual transaction to the blockchain. I have had a transaction pending in Coinbase for 35 hours before it was actually sent out to the blockchain. Till then, I was quite scared that I had lost my BTCs.

Try choose a wallet for reliability and security, and not low transaction fees. While the fees are high, it will ensure that your coins can be sent without any worries. I would recommend you use electrum. It is free and allows you to set the cost of the transaction fee /kilobyte.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: September 12, 2017, 08:44:56 AM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes

Uhhh, Yes and No- Bitcoin and Gold both have its advantages and disadvantages when compared to one another.

I would have to say this is one of the biggest questions asked by everyone ever since bitcoin was made. I think it is a bit unfair to compare to the 2 head to head as one is completely physical and the other is completely digital. As I've said before, both have their own glory.

GOLD

Gold is a stable commodity with little or no fluctuations over time. Since it is physical, it holds REAL value. Gold investment is usually made not to make profit or money from it, but rather to store funds in a stable way.
However, also since it is physical it means that it can easily be stolen.

BITCOIN

Bitcoins is a cryptocurrency, a new era of currencies and payment methods. Being the first of its kind, it has certain attracted plenty of attention and investors.
The price fluctuates depending on the amount that is being traded and outside entities, such as China's ICO ban. Bitcoin is also very secure and is 'fully' anonymous - well, to a certain degree.
The price trend in the last few months shows that the value of bitcoin will continue to go up, and not drop. This means that investors should be able to invest if their goal is to make profit, and not to secure wealth.
753  Economy / Economics / Re: The panic seller irony on: September 11, 2017, 11:31:25 AM
Well, yes, the Irony is real. But- who could have guessed that the price of bitcoin was going to sky rocket this high? I mean when I first heard of it in 2009 I thought of it as a joke- however I have come to the realisation that that is very much not the case.

The irony is, these casuals are the ones that are always complaining about how it's unfair that BTC is distributed in the hands of few whales

I don't think that these people have any right to complain and I completely agree with you. There are always sellers selling their bitcoins and the situation is not as if these whales buy up all these coins. There is plenty to go around for everyone and all that matters is just how much money you have or are willing to invest into Bitcoin. Selling bitcoin right now - today, is one of the worst things anyone can do. I mean, look at the past month or 2. We have seen the price increase very drastically, almost doubling its value. All these panic sellers do is just get scared about a potential loss and sell as fast as they can, only later to then regret their decision.
754  Economy / Speculation / Re: about real value of bitcoin ? on: September 11, 2017, 09:23:58 AM
is this is 4000$ rang or more

what you think?

There is no set amount as to the final value of bitcoin (well, except its cap amount but no-one really matters about that - at least not for now)

Bitcoin's price will rise and fall as it is used by the community. It is built on a network of user trust and its value will ultimately be determined by its supply and demand and trade volume (basically demand).
Other factors will be current cryptomarket related news such as the recent Chinese ICO ban, which saw bitcoin's price drop a little.

Still, investing in bitcoin is very safe and I would recommend it to anyone. We should see bitcoin's price soar well above the $5000 USD mark by the end of the year.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: will btc rise next week? on: September 11, 2017, 08:52:00 AM
What do you think  Wink

Well, bitcoin's price is extremely volatile and this can be shown especially in the last few weeks, maybe even months if we look a bit deeper.
I would say that it is hard to predict the future price, however anything is possible.

There have been way too many prices rises in the last year or so to properly predict another price rise, however it can be sensed and smartly sought out. Many investors all over the world say that bitcoin's price is about to plummet - but I do not think that will happen any time soon.
756  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yoandy10 is a Scammer on: September 10, 2017, 07:49:33 AM
I too am sorry for your loss. 0.8 is a HUGE amount to just loose. However, you should never trust a member with such low rank with an amount of such high stakes.

What he is just doing now is plain sad... Post as much information as you can into the thread!

Hi guys, Do you have any limits for number of participants for signature, twitter or facebook campaign?
It is always better to know how much minimum approximateli is possible to earn before joining 10 weeks long campaign Wink
Thanks.
No limit Smiley looking for as much people as possible

..and it is your mistake. You will hire only spammers and idiots to promote your project. If you think about success you have to think about quality. With so high budget you have many options.. Everything is in your, or experienced person hands.
Hiring idiots, finally will just destroy your project. Think about that..
Anyway good luck!

Edit: just to explain my way of thinking- which investor will risk money looking at idiot advertising.. analyze it, please..  Cool

I am sure that aTriz will look at each participant to see the previous post quality. Yes, it is true that if he hires too many spammers than it paints a negative vibe to the project. However, for this exact reason I do not think that he will hire literally 'Everyone'.

But we will have to wait and see for that to be true...

759  Economy / Services / Re: LOOKING FOR A BOUNTY CAMPAIGN MANAGER on: September 09, 2017, 06:10:48 AM
Pretty much all the trusted ones have been said out there but I'll like to give some advice about this.

Don't always go with the big bounty manager out there, you should always be looking for other people who may be just as good or even better than the big managers out there. All the bit managers charge heaps, and it you went with someone newer, it would be cheaper.

Yes, and then in the end you might end up with another person like Windpower. I guess it is up to the OP to decide what is best for him / herself. Some things are not worth the risk.
760  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] MSI Gaming Laptop - GT73VR Titan Pro 4K-479- Brand new! on: September 09, 2017, 06:05:25 AM
This laptop has a 4k panel so the so called "beefy specs" are required to push the screen. Comparing a desktop price to a high end laptop price is silly BTW. Laptops will always carry a premium over a similar desktop for obvious reasons.

I understand that and I very well respect it. A powerful computer is very much needed to drive 4k@60Hz. True, I should not have compared it to a Full-Sized Desktop computer, however this is very much dependant on what aTriz wants to use this for and in what environment.
