Nobody knows. Altcoin might not survive bitcoin constant folk. And on the other, any good altcoin might also rise and leave bitcoin behind. No one knows for sure! I am hopeful on ethereum though since it is functional and has it's own ecosystem that is very independent of Bitcoin!

The news of folk after folk if bitcoin is good for bitcoin but bad for altcoin. I will repeat. Very bad for altcoin. Altcoin is down like 80 to 90% since bitcoin cash folk. Altcoin might not survive bitcoin folk event of which is starting to occur now every other months!

Scam is a song many bitcoineer and newbies alike like to sing. And indeed they are right. Majority of project that we witness today are scam. No business plan (I am not talking of whitepaper) No capital, no use if any kind for the services or product they are promoting. 99% of this "whitepaper" are scam. There are only few legit ICO! of which I have not seen there relevant yet!

I thought I was the only one with this line of thought. Ethereum has been amazing since last year december. Price discover of ether as a currency of Etheteum platform that has evolved and still evolving is amazing. gain almost 3000% on my holding. Another thing i noticed also is the fact that there is continuous development on Ethereum than Bitcoin.

I like your perspective about the aftermaths of the bitcoin folk scheduled for November. But i would like to say this with certainty that nobody knows what will recover or not. Even bitcoin might disappear snd stop existing while another coin know or unknown might replace it. We surely do not know what will happen yet!

Private keys is the key to access to the wallet. You would not require the public address for accessing the balance but the private key.
To bruteforce a private key of 12 characters (example), you would need 7.5million hits and trials. Think about the bitcoins 64 character.
Well, MEW has taking your assertion a step further, you could actually check your token balance without having to log in your private key before you could do so. Of course there are limitation of not been able to transact in view mode! On the final analysis, checkimg your balance with your public key is way better than having to log in your private key everytime you want to do so. Development in ethereum is faster and better than bitcoin at the moment! |

I have two questions!
1. If you move all your token from compromised wallet to new wallet, is your token safe in the new wallet?
2. If one of your token is stolen out of many token, Does it mean your account is hacked and the rest of your different stored token could be stolen anytime?
I'll defer to those with more knowledge, but from my limited understanding: 1. Depends how the wallet was compromised. If the new wallet is safe, then there should be no problem. If the old wallet was compromised by a method that could also compromise the new wallet (keylogger etc) then no, it's not safe in the new one until you remove the source of the problem. If you don't know the source of the problem, then move it to an exchange as a temporary measure. 2. If the wallet is compromised then they can take anything in it, regardless of what coin it is. Best bet is to move everything out of a compromised wallet before it disappears. Thank you for your answer. The question of keylogger etc does not apply in this case because I use virtual keyboard. There is a lots of complain similar to what I experienced from the token in question.(Car taxi). All my other token are intact it was only Car taxi token that was taken. Do you think the theif has my private key or was only able to stole back his token(Car taxi) by manipulating his contract! It seems somebody that stole the token is someone that sent it, I stand to be corrected! I sent the rest of my token to exchange as temporary measure. |

Question is: who did not have their wallet changed and their payment stolen.
All three campaign that I participated had their address changed and now this thief has the payment of all three translation

Hard to know.my wallet was changed magically from 0x3135286d65dE41a0628b522F67e956311Bc94cc8 to 0x3357C59ef0C73b45Ea3339B5b98b089B23De7c89 who now has the balance that belongs to me.My wallet address was not change but my payment was stolen. Nov 2 when i received the bounty but yesterday it was transferred to other address. This is exactly what happen to me. I worked hard for this token and somebody who wrote the contract just stole my token! I saw a lots of complain and I was wondering why people are complaining. I check my wallet this evening and realize my coin has been transferred from my wallet! Why all this game and stealing DEV? |

Sometimes when you compare what was raised on ICO and what was given to the marketing force of the ICO a.k.a Bounty hunters, you wonder if bounty hunter were deliberately been hunted! There is a lots of rip off going on with regards to payment. If an ICO were to pay an advertisement fee on Google facebook etc. they will be coughing out a lots of dollars! Bounty should be paid in ether going foward!
