742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone have a 25% BFL discount code they are not using? Let me use it for BTC on: August 19, 2013, 04:33:06 AM
I have a code, but:

A) I don't think they're transferable. You'd have to send me the coins, and I'd have to order the card for you.

This

I would be interested, but I didn't think they were transferrable.

Let me know if they are!

I request the board of advisors, when appointed, discuss the merits of issuing emails to confirm payment of dividends. Thanks.

Why?

ActM doesn't have email addresses of shareholders, the exchanges do - right?

btct.co already does this.

And bitfunder, should do it, but doesnt. So BF should fix this.

Hi all,

I'm after quite a bit of btc ... currently in K.L, regularly in Johor and Singapore.

Any advice on reputable sellers here in Malaysia?

I think we should declare this month, International Waiting Month.

We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re ACTM
We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re Labcoin
We got people waiting on time critical Avalon chips
We got people waiting on Gox to return monies
We got people waiting to see where BTC/USD is actually heading
We got people waiting to see where certain authorities will focus on next

Theres a whole lot of waiting going on. While we wait......anyone know any jokes? Tongue

I thought mtgox money issues was solved Huh

Ken and the engineers have ordered special 'glue guns' from 'Tim's Springfield Hardware Store' so the process should be quite rapid!

Someone bought 12k shares on BTCT shortly after that post Wink

Ah that's what happen, I was wondering why there was a large trade a few hours ago.
It's interesting watching things unfold here on the forums.

That was also a joke hence KSGuys wink.

During the 30mins (11:46 -12:46) between my parody good news and me posting it was a joke (as soon as I saw some thought it was real news) we saw:

One trade on bitfunder only, which was a purchase of 4 shares = 0.020btc value

and

Four buys on bct-tc to a total of 100 shares = approx 0.5 btc. The rest of the trades were small sells.

So I don't see any effect and certainly no 'large trade'.

2013-08-13 21:58:03   Market Buy   12000   ฿ 0.005992   ฿ 71.904

not to mention thousands of smaller ones with several in the 2000-3500 shares range

Amazing how a joke (and clearly one) can affect the market.

Price wentt from .0056ish to nearly .006 in a flash ... and fell back just as fast. (on btct)

HAD to be due to that joke of a news.

Scary actually

ActiveMining-PR, are you guys looking to update the website sometime in the near future? Being a professional company, I would hope so, as the current website looks quite rushed and sloppy considering this is now a company that is valued in the millions. While I know branding and marketing comes second due to the lack of staff and other priorities, I hope you guys have a plan to update it in the future to better represent the professional culture Active Mining should be aiming for. I am a web designer so I may be biased, but when looking at a site like butterflylabs.com and then virtualminingcorp.com, it is clear that you guys need an update in your branding and corporate identity.

Just my 2 cents!

+1 ... and I have mentioned this before too.

- Ken changes VMC product mix to make it more 'user friendly' (ie. there is still the modular products, but also simpler product along the lines BFL and KNCminer. eg. simple product with XXG/s)

I don't see the product being modified like that.  It seems simple enough already anyway. If you're going to mine in the TH zone, you don't want to have a bunch of KNCs linked together or BFL chained together on a desk. You want to have exactly what Ken has designed. It pops right into a data center rack and off you go.

I think of these as professional grade miners.

As I said - "ie. there is still the modular products, but also simpler products"

The modular ones are for larger miners, especially mining bond providers.

But there is a need for 'simple' products.

Examples:

- BFL has the 5,25,50,500Gh/s miners
- KNC has Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter
- AsicMiner has the USB miner and Erupter

They are simple, easy to understand and therefore better for the common consumer. The modular system is not for the common miner. And there should be a product/s aimed at them too.

OK it's been an eventful 24hrs so now with things a bit quieter on here I'd like to suggest a game.

The problem with checking in on the ACtM threads every 1 or 2 hrs looking at the very latest posting and being ready to dump all your shares at the drop of a hat is you can fall victim to the sort of false news release we saw yesterday. Sadly there are probably people buying back right now above .005 who sold at .004, or worse still they are waiting to buy back at .004 but it may never go there again and they will begrudgingly buy back at .006 or .007. A tragedy.

Now the game is this, what would the situation be if you secured your shares at btc-e/bitfunder then logged out of bitcoin forum today and didn't come back for 3months? What would you come back to?

Just a bit of fun. Any answers should include what you may think will happen with ACtM news releases, progress made over the 3 months, share price in 3months and route it took to get there, dividend payments, BTC price and anything else that might be of interest.

So in 3months time where will we be?

In 3 months ... lets see ...

- avalon chips and klondike boards on online and hashing away - ~6TH/s
- this gives investors some boners, and proof things are not a scam
- but still no news on eAsic ... NDA, confidentiality blah
- wild price swings occur as FUD, and speculation abounds
- those who hold see pricing heads towards .015
- Ken changes VMC product mix to make it more 'user friendly' (ie. there is still the modular products, but also simpler product along the lines BFL and KNCminer. eg. simple product with XXG/s)

757  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: August 03, 2013, 10:54:19 AM
I see AMC shares have disappeared from trading on BitFunder ... hopefully meaning the transfer to Active Mining has/is being done.

FriedKen has demonstrated impressive foresight in being an early miner and investing in batch 2 Avalon + chips.
FriedKen has gained expertise in several areas needed for successful vertical integration.

A renaissance man like FriedKen does the jobs of four or more specialists at competing firms such as Laughcoin Labcoin.   Cool

FriedKen it is - love it haha Smiley Cool

Burnside - when will the btc not used be released?
760  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: July 31, 2013, 09:54:23 PM
Its a little disconcerting to see how flippant burnside is about $2mil of investment....

The right thing to do would be to re-open bidding for 24 hours - we only lose a single day and EVERYONE gets an ACTUALLY fair opportunity to invest.

We don't want this - for sure a whale would come in and dilute everyone's share to <1%..then hold their own auction style ipo...

agreed
