741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash figured out yet another way to delay paying me on: February 04, 2018, 02:36:08 AM
They didnt' payout yesterday . they did today.. but they raised the minimum Coinbase transfer from 0.002 to 0.003 .. suckers..  I am at like .00297.  sigh.

Yeah they reached the api threshold again and had to increase it a bit.  They had to do that a week or so ago as well and then reduced the min back to where it was a few days later.

Yeah Phillip, I did.

thank you

When I did it, it instantly showed up in my wallet.  I never saw in the reimbursed pending field, like you're seeing.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The $20,000 Startup Mining Question on: February 04, 2018, 02:16:45 AM
bulllllllshit.  Post a screenshot of your bank account showing that you even have $20k Canadian.  Hell if you can do that I'll buy your first GPU for you.

These threads are so stupid.

Careful ... It isn't that out of the question.  I've taken about 18K USD out of my savings account and invested it in mining hardware to build my farm over the past few months.  Not everyone is poor.  20K really isn't that much money when you think about what you earn making an average salary of 60-80K over the course of your career in a lot of fields.

745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to mining on 2018 on: February 03, 2018, 08:09:19 PM
I bought 36x 580 8gb for 700,00 each...

I think I’m going to have 1 year to 1-1.5 ROI.

But I thinks is going to be a good investment.

Let’s hope it is!!

700USD? Lol ... That wasn't smart at all.
746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies post on: February 03, 2018, 02:20:14 AM
as many as you want but  avoid off topic and do not break the rules..

Well, you're wrong there ... If you're black, you can only post half as much as white people.  I'm half african by the way ... It sucks, but that is the way it is.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to get a 220-240 k-watt-meter in the usa on: February 03, 2018, 02:17:02 AM
Standard USA spec Kill-A-Watts read 220v just fine. Just dont try to pull more than 8 amp through them.

They work fine on 240v up to 12+a...

Kill-a-watt's on page shows the operating range is 115v-125v:

http://www.p3international.com/products/p4400.html

I looked at all their other 'energy saver' products, none support > 130v.  Philip is on the money - plus he wouldn't have gone through all that effort to get EU ones if he could easily get US ones.

Some people are just that simple.

I have 4 p4460s that have been used for over 6 months on 240v without issue.

Post pictures when your shit burns to the ground.  Lol ... Kidding, but I'm not joking when I say that I would take Phillip's word over most people who post in this forum.
748  Economy / Speculation / Re: why the market crashed ?! on: February 03, 2018, 02:13:34 AM
Simple ... It crashed because people pulled money out of it.
Heh, well yeah this is true.

But in seriousness, the market crashed cause of an overall sentiment from the news media that the market was overvalued, and facing opposition from some governments (this is, of course, fake news and shouldn't be treated as if it's real)

So a ton of fud, and people getting scared is one of the theories which I have.

Another is going to be that the market had too much of a runup too quick and a correction HAD to happen in order to let the market cool off again, as we went to 20k real quick which is INSANE. So yeah, had to be fixed at some point.

While I totally agree with that, it was too much for me to type to another person starting a thread that reads like one of the following ...

when is a good time to get into bitcoin?

is now good time?

should i invest in crypto?

i want to mine btc with my gpu, where do i start?

how do i mine crypto?

when do i get lambo?

what coin should i mine?

where is the guide?

should i buy now?

how many hours until it does X2?

is this a good time to start mining?

fuck, crash, it's all crashing, i cash out and lose 25%, yes?

oh wait, i need X3, is this good time?

should i buy now?

oh no, btc is shit, should i buy eth?

no way, should i buy ltc?

oh no, should i invest in xrp?  Oh fuck ... Lol.

Shhhhhhh Shhhhhh Shhhhhh Shut the fuck up people who have no idea what they are talking about Smiley  That is my opinion.

750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The benefits of mining on: February 03, 2018, 01:09:57 AM
It always start with one gpu and ends with crazy farms. Goodluck with your first step , i am mining for 2 years now and still alot to learn , by the way i started with one GPU also Smiley

I'm already planning my next gpu purchase.  When this price dies down I'll grab some.  I still have a ton of stuff to learn but my understanding of crypto and the mining process has increased substantially since I started mining.  Good luck to you as well!

Would recommend grabbing some 560 4gbs, they're still roughly profitable and dropping in price all the time. They're about half the hashrate out the box of a 570, so if you can grab one for half the price you're in a good position.

Good work on getting the 480, I started off with an R9-390 I built with earnings from crawling through faucets Cheesy

Thanks for the recommendation I'll keep my eye out for them.  It's funny because I've always wanted to build a gaming rig and I finally did almost 2 years ago.  I had no intention of mining with it but then I fell down the rabbit hole.  Now I haven't used my gpu for gaming since I started mining.

Yeah ... Who would waste gpu hash power playing video games? Well unless it's good VR porn.  I could set a little aside for that ... Lol.

nope  they do not   I have them and they do not work.

it may be you have a different one then me I have 4400p3 international and it does not work.

I love it when phillip is right and he tells you that he is right.  Thanks for the info.  This is something I've been very curious about.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to get a 220-240 k-watt-meter in the usa on: February 03, 2018, 12:24:19 AM
Im using a amp meter with a coil to see the total amp's draw from the panel , its a passive device , no electricity need it, (Watts=Volts x Amps ) Wink
you need to connect to electricity ONLY if you want to use the backlight function .
Also measuring each rigs power draw with a switchable, metered pdu

I'm a sucker for the old school stuff with needles.  Nice!
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [WTA] Advise needed on Mining Rig Setup. on: February 03, 2018, 12:19:11 AM
Hell yes.  If you have the stuff on hand, try it, before you start buying other expensive stuff that you may or may not need.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a way to group all my machines into one ? on: February 03, 2018, 12:15:08 AM

Nope.  Solves the problem of hanging rigs when you are not on site.  It's pretty obvious what he needs to do is stop building 2 gpu rigs.

I use CPU hardware.  Servers, some small some big.  I build what I can afford, and use what I have.  My small machines are used for testing, the big ones are for production after I verify my tests on a small scale.

"build bigger rigs" is an easy answer.  Buying new / different hardware is not an option.  I did not ask "how do I get more hash power ?".  Please remain focused on the topic.

In that case.  It seems not worth the time or hassle of maintaining them.  Good luck.

What would you mine with 2 EVGA GTX 1070 FTW atm ?Smiley

Is English not your first language or are you a moron?

It's probably a little of both.

757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Yeston GPU manufacturer on: February 02, 2018, 11:26:20 PM
Is there any issues the compatibility with the Chinese version and using windows 10?  Linux probably works fine but I wasnt sure if there were any drivers that may have issues running or installing on Windows.

It gets picked up as a generic AMD card depending on which model the chipset is still the same just the design is different (worse) unfortunately the sub standard manufacturing leads to some issues sometimes

There are good things that come out of China, but as a US resident, I just use extreme caution.  Brand name stuff is 100% no go for me, if the source has not been vetted and verified.  There is way too much counterfieting going on over there.

And then the non/no name-branded unknown stuff is just a crap shoot.  It's either low quality or straight up does not work like you think it's going to.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash didn't payout today on: February 02, 2018, 11:20:05 PM
According to the news article on their website the payment today was postponed until tomorrow due to the repayment (first 10% of the hacked funds) deal going live today.

That would have been my guess, but I wouldn't bet on anything with those guys at the moment.  I realize that the investigation into the security breach is still underway and they can't release some of the info about it, but still makes me a bit skeptical.  I just need more info.  I want the details.

On the other hand ... Now that they have added the free coinbase withdraw that can be done on a daily basis, the most you're ever going to lose is one day of profit, should something bad ever happen again.  But when I looked at the payout data on their site and saw that no one had been paid today, I did begin thinking ... Hmmm ... What's going on here.
759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering,It just hit $9000 again. on: February 02, 2018, 11:11:49 PM
I saw that the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies are bumping exactly at the same time and it now reached $9000 in some hours.I hope this is the end of the crazy run with bitcoin price.
and now the Canadian ETF is approved and will be launched in the Canadian exchange in the coming week and hopefully we could see some rally because of that.

Just read an article about that.  At least there is still a little bit of positive news mixed in with the bad and badly misconstrued news lately.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash didn't payout today on: February 02, 2018, 11:09:00 PM
Yes indeed.  Just processed mine.  Now I just need need my payment from yesterday.  At least they are making progress.  I'll stay on MPH for the time being though.

Are you the guy that Vosk interviewed for his YouTube channel?  If so, you're doing amazing things over there!!!  Loved that video!
