741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 07, 2022, 09:13:15 PM
Although India has given a target of 189 runs today. However, I am not satisfied with the batting of the Indian players. India scored 95 runs in the first 10 overs. And they lost only 1 wicket. They should have collected at least 100+ in the last 10 overs. But in the last 10 overs they scored 93 runs and lost 6 wickets. The bowlers are performing well, while the middle-order batsmen should bat more responsibly.
Yes India scored 188 runs. And West Indies entered the field with a target of 189 runs.West Indies managed to score 100 runs by losing all wickets. But once again India proved that they are still one of the cricket teams.Packaged a team like West Indies for 100 runs. But India did a lot worse in batting performance. But the bowling performance came and did very well.India won this match by 88 runs. Therefore, I congratulate the Indian team on my behalf.
This was an easy series win for India If you see all the 5 matches i think their regret will be that why couldn't the make a clean sweep in this 5 match t20 series, it's a great morale booster before the t20 world cup because West Indies is always a big contender of the T20 world cup they have the capability to change big games in their favour. Moreover India's win came without the big shots which is also a good sign of teams confidence and abilities.
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: August 07, 2022, 09:00:25 PM

Most countries are giving excuses and  reason for banning Bitcoin is because it can easily be used to fund crimes.
But I think they are afraid of losing control of their citizens' financial activities because they believe being the ones regulating financial activities makes them powerful.
What are your thoughts
Actually it's both a yes or a no, criminal activities all on all is a big reason why governments are against bitcoin because it's untraceable so any such activity will go anonymously. Moreover tax evasion is also a big concern for the governments obviously as it is their share of money which doesn't comes to them whenever people use bitcoins for their earnings. So all on all I won't say that governments are wrong in being selfish and banning Bitcoins for making their work easy but the thing is when a new technology comes in it brings it's challenges as well so governments should try to solve the challenges rather than behaving in such a manner.
743  Economy / Economics / Re: What crisis what food crisis ? on: August 07, 2022, 08:52:56 PM
News and every where about crisis and food crisis
T b honest i go to shop and all full of food never had problems with food.
I must get 3 meals per day i couldnt function any less then that if i eat less its a suffering for many people.
People not into suffering struggle games, sure the goverments will get a lot pressure from their own people if they start to play with food.

Also im waiting economic bears but everything going up everybody spend money eating out and i dont see crisis.

Wherr is the crisis and where is the food shortages??
Im full of food i dont see any food shortages also i dont see any supply chain distruptions...i go to all shops and i get everything fine.

The crisis are not nowhere id like to see some real crisis but there is nothing everything is just fine
Actually the Crisis hasn't really started till now. There obviously is going to be some great crisis coming when there are these war like situations. But these won't be nation wide crisis. In this level of globalization countries don't face acute shortages because there are more than one country to lend hand to you, generally the crisis will be localised and for some time only as they will occur due to disruption in supply chains. I feel Europe might feel it in coming months but for sure not that acute.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 07, 2022, 08:48:30 PM

Generally bounties don't do this, they'll pay you for sure. But the only problems when they fail to pay is either when they are unable to reach their softcap and have to return money to the investors or when they are able to hit the softcap but are unable to list the coin on some reputable platform. In both the cases you'll get paid but yes the payment that you will receive will be worthless only.

No not most of them pay for bounty work done. At least 80% of them end up not paying, I have been in bounty in the past to see hell of series of disappointment going on in bounty hunting. The situation doesn't encourage serious work there except sometimes you can be lucky with project already exchange and you get very little amount of reward that is nothing to your effort.

The only thing that's honestly worth the time is signature campaigns

How did you know about this with your rank  Huh Shocked Grin
Really? Maybe the scenario has changed in last few months of couple of years because until the time I was seeing bounties 2 years back most of them were actually paying you and not just getting work done for free. Infact a few of them would be so well paying that they will make you more than what a signature campaigns could make in an year. But I think now as tokens are mostly holdings IEOs the relevance of bounties have gone down because marketing is done by exchanges themselves maybe this is why bounties don't end up paying.
745  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 07, 2022, 08:45:02 PM
Many people are expecting Bitcoin to go down to 10k before they start investing, well not a bad idea but sometimes your expectations might not come true, just because bitcoin was 3700$ in match 2020 doesn't mean we might see 10k per Bitcoin, remember it was because of CoViD that's why BTC plummeted to 3700$, the best strategy is DCAing, 17500$ per BTC weeks ago was a good opportunity honestly, for the short time some said but might be the last for the long term too, instead of guessing and making predictions avoid sitting on your hands and do nothing.
This is true. Dollar cost averaging is undoubtedly the best way to hold bitcoins and accumulate a lot of them at cheap levels. People thinking that bitcoin might go to 10k may be right but will think bitcoin will go even down when it actually reaches 10k because these set of people won't actually buy all they will do is watch the market fall and expect it to fall even further and then regret in the next bull run.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador claim bitcoin attracts tourists right or wrong? on: August 07, 2022, 05:59:11 PM
Recently El Salvador confirmed bitcoin magnets tourists to the nation. Claims bitcoin attracted 1.1 million visitors in 6 month was opposed by the wall street journal, saying most visitors never used bitcoin in the bitcoin beach and other stores that accepted bitcoin in the country. Given an example of a small bohemian hotel “Lagarza" owned by Daniel García, who confirmed only 15 bitcoin transaction since it became a legal tender in the country.

He went further saying that most visitors in the country paid with bitcoin to brag, though, it was made known in the article that, some vendors in El Salvador don't have a bitcoin wallet. And the country need to teach citizens how to transact with bitcoin to enable swift transaction.

What could have attracted cryptocurrency tourists to El Salvador if not bitcoin? So I think the wall street journal article covered a small part of El Salvador hotels.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2022/07/06/el-salvador-bitcoin-beach/ (Proves visitors don't use bitcoin)

https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/tourists-flock-to-el-salvador-despite-bitcoin-bear-market/amp (Proves traders use bitcoin)
I also don't think tourist have anything to do with using bitcoin or anything else, one reason I can think of is that El Salvador might have been popularised after this recent change and people might have come to know about it who might not have known about it earlier. I believe this has nothing to do with making crypto a legal tender for sure.
747  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where is real pumps ? on: August 06, 2022, 08:02:25 PM
Real pumps where ?
100%-700%+ pumps ?
Btc and eth main cpins are good lomg term profit and u invest but we need income every day so where is the daily 300%-1000% profits ?
Any better exchanger then binamce ? For this?
Binance dont give us enough pumps
The truth is that real pumps aren't 700%. Real pumps are just about 10-20% all these pumps that you are saying are fabricated by various exchanges and I would suggest you to stay away from them. They'll only damage your portfolio. Moreover these pumps generally come during the bull run only. In bearish phase it's generally the dumps that you will mostly see which can be even seen in the market right now. Give some time to the market till next bull run and you will see various pumps coming again.
What happens is that some people have expectations out of this market that are not realistic, during a bull market we can see a coin pumping like that almost everyday but there are thousands of coins in the market, so it is a mistake to think that somehow anyone can predict when a coin is going to do something like that, and if someone can do so then most likely that person had insider information about which coin had been selected by a pump and dump group beforehand.
But I Still think in a bull run you can randomly buy a coin on any day and expect it's price to skyrocket in just a week or so however Same is not possible in a bear run. This has happened to me myself, I brought KCS or Kucoin Shares out of nowhere in the previous bull run and just in a matter of few weeks it's price skyrocketed like anything. i sold it and was lucky enough to get out before the bear run kicked in.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 06, 2022, 07:59:46 PM
I heard that some bounties fail to pay participants at the end of work. Considering this senerio, how can one know which bounty is a good to participate in?
Generally bounties don't do this, they'll pay you for sure. But the only problems when they fail to pay is either when they are unable to reach their softcap and have to return money to the investors or when they are able to hit the softcap but are unable to list the coin on some reputable platform. 749  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency an Alternative in Resisting Economy Hardship on: August 06, 2022, 07:57:29 PM
Cryptocurrency an Alternative in Resisting Economy Hardship, Nigeria in Africa as a Case Study.

Some months back earlier this year, the word "bitcoin" became the most globally search word on the internet while research also shows that Nigerians have the highest search for bitcoin on Google on another note, it has been said to be the country with the highest bid of Nigerians interested in cryptocurrency on a global scale and yet amidst the restrictions from its government against participating in cryptocurrency related affairs from users of commercial banks and the financial institutions in general, also in 2018 the country Nigeria was rated third in place for bitcoin holders in the world

source

We could see from above table how the country has venture into a number of cryptocurrencies with bitcoin being the highest and altcoin solana which is experiencing difficulty as at the moment from it users coins been hacked from hot wallets, despite the whole conditions of users all over the African countries, bitcoin adoption has increase with a vast numbers of trading rate compare to other cryptocurrencies which the statistics from Sango below explained.

From the above statistics, we could see how the reflection of cryptocurrency participation in the coast of Africa led to sporadic adoption of bitcoin and how it has been use to evade the impact of economy hardship the people could have suffered from the use of fiat backing up with inflation all over, it's of no doubt that cryptocurrency had come in providing the audacity to decentralized economy system in dealing with financial circumstance, the economy in  cryptocurrency activities is fast increasing in Africa (Nigeria) and Middle East according to source: https://agadir-group.com/nigeria-the-uae-are-the-most-cryptocurrency-obsessed-markets/

Areas of Economic Benefits in Cryptocurrency

Financial security
Employment opportunities
Indepency with decentralized network
Secured and reliable digital investment opportunity
Solution to hardship from transaction charges
Running a balanced economy free from inflation
Reduction in poverty rate while increasing GDP
Intercontinental collaboration, friendship and partnership

Can you please explain how will this actually help in fighting with the economic hardship for them? If people will do transactions in bitcoin how will things change? All we will see is that prices of things variating too much on daily basis. Moreover government will have a difficult time paying off it's foreign debts because it'll have to buy bitcoin from its earnings to pay it off. I don't know how will economy get stronger just by this change.
750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical analysts be like.. on: August 06, 2022, 07:39:59 PM
Technical indicators jargon...

Some more....

We'll have to see how these indicators gonna play out .. Market can go either up or down.

Note: this is not a financial advise.
Haha it's actually true, the so called YouTube traders are always like this only. Man i know all this what you are saying market obviously can just go in two directions that's it why is this even a thing to tell anyone. Worst part is they will explain you how accurate they were in both the cases after the market moves in any of th direction. Actually following all these people is just foolishness best is to create a system of triggers for your own self which can assist you in trading.
751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading more efficiently on: August 05, 2022, 06:35:41 PM
Hi I would like to know what do you use to trade cryptocurrencies as efficiently as possible (applications, software etc) or some tips...before I was using a platform where there was no trailing stop loss...and for me the trailing stop loss is saving me a lot of time and money...is there any other type of advanced orders that are you using?

And how do you organize your setup, monitors...right now I am using a not very big monitor...and finally is there any way to change the background of the screen in the exchanges when trading?

Right now I use bybit and when I want to see the chart and enter operations the background is black, I think for me it would be better white background...is there any way to change that? and the box to enter the orders is very small...is there any way to make that box bigger...in fact I do not look at the bybit chart...I look directly at the tradingview....

Trading view is definitely the best platform to trade if you can buy the premium version of it. It even allows multi screen function so you can keep multiple screens for different utilities like one for seeing the chart other one for the order book one for entering the order for execution. This way you can be quick and effective. Eventually all the charting providers just take trading view charts to add their own flavour on it. So it's best just to go with tradingview premium itself.
752  Economy / Economics / Re: Nations should impose special taxes on oil firms: UN Secretary General on: August 05, 2022, 04:30:58 PM

source

Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine oil price skyrocketed triggering inflation and high cost of goods and services. But this unfortunate condition is favoring the oil and gas companies. While households are grappling with higher energy bills, companies are reaping the benefits. This quarter four of the biggest energy firms - Exxon, Chevron, Shell and TotalEnergies - earned nearly $51bn almost doubling what they earned last year.

Recently, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called on nations to impose special taxes on oil and gas companies because of this excessive profits and use the funds to support the poorest and most vulnerable people  through these difficult times.

The British and Italian government have imposed these special taxes but the US and French government is rejection this move stating that it might still lead to increase in domestic energy cost and might scare investors away from the industry.

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-62415904
It's quite ironic to put taxes on these people because these companies aren't going to pay the taxes themselves they will eventually shift the burden of tax to the customers which will ultimately increase the overall price of the oil and increase inflation even more. So I don't think it's a very wise decision to do so. Unless you can bring a law that they can't even pass the effect of this on the consumers.
753  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Tesla's Electric Semi Resolve Shipping Issues Related To High Fuel Costs on: August 05, 2022, 04:28:47 PM
Quote
While speaking at the opening ceremony of Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas, Tesla's CEO said that the Tesla Semi will be produced in 2023, along with the Cybertruck and Roadster. In fact, it's one of the reasons why Tesla built a Gigafactory in Texas –- so it could have the capacity to produce all three EV models. Once the Semi is released, Tesla expects that it will be sold at a starting price of $150,000 for the 300-mile range model and $180,000 for the 500-mile range model.

Assuming those prices prove accurate, it means the Tesla Semi won't be very expensive compared to other diesel trucks -- not to mention, it will reportedly be cheaper to maintain and fuel than most alternatives. "A diesel truck will be 20% more expensive than a Tesla Semi per mile," according to Elon Musk. Tesla's CEO also says customers will be able to drive the commercial truck for a million miles without it breaking down. At the time of writing, the Tesla Semi is available to reserve from Tesla's website with a deposit of $20,000.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/heres-everything-you-need-to-know-about-teslas-electric-semi-truck/ar-AAZN5x1

....

Tesla's new electric semi is scheduled to begin production in 2023.

It utilizes the new 4680 battery cells, which do not use cobalt mined in africa with child labor. Has a drag coefficient lower than a bugatti and can do 0-60 miles per hour in 5 seconds. They claim it can add 400 miles of range in only 30 minutes of charge time.

Food prices are climbing. Partially due to the cost of shipping and transportation rising on fossil fuel overhead.

Electric based shipping carries a potential to reduce shipping costs, and stabilize prices to a relative degree. It also carries a potential to reduce consumption of fossil fuels, and perhaps help stabilize prices.

Yes definitely there are high chances for this. Not only shipping cost but also the fuel cost or the crude oil cost will go lower when this will happen but Tesla is already contributing enough to this. I think with time obviously fuel usage will reduce and so will the fuel reserves in total. So the equilibrium price of the fuel will still be maintained in total.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Whales Store Their BTC on: August 04, 2022, 12:01:05 PM
Big players like Michael Saylor, the president of EI, or even some exchanges, i have been wondering how these guys store their BTC, their solutions, and their hardware storage.

Do any insiders know something? BTC

Generally these happen in two ways, either on a cold storage which is a sort of a hardware wallet or in a private key hot wallet. I have even seen people storing a lot of coins on a central exchange as well. It's because these exchanges also don't target the big exchanges as these give them the most revenues. But yes cold storage on a hardware wallet like trezor is the safest option and most used option by al the whales. Moreover they don't even store it in one single wallet generally keep 3-4 hardware wallets to keep all their holdings.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 24, 2022, 08:11:07 PM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.
It definitely will increase once by the end of this year. I am not saying it will break the all time high once again because that is highly unlikely considering the market scenario right now. But it will rise upto the average of 40-45k for once before it decides whether it is going to fall back again or rise back once again higher. I think about the all time high we are not going to see one until the next halving for sure. We'll see one only after the halving is over now.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 24, 2022, 08:05:02 PM
India VS Westindies

The second test match will be played today and I hope India does not repeat its previous performance. India had a very laid-back attitude in the last match. Indian fielding was not up to the mark and neither was their balling. I hope new ballers should be tested today and I hope they deliver what they are supposed to do.
India and West Indies are playing 2nd ODI match today.Today's match is not a test match it is a 2nd ODI match. In today's match West Indies scored 247 runs losing 4 wickets in 42 overs after playing 43.4 overs. This run against India is not enough at all.If West Indies can put together a package of 300 runs then India will have a chance to win.Let's see what West Indies can do in the end.
west indies  scored 272 runs now lossing still 4 wickets after plying 46 overs. now only 4 overs left for end there plying limit. maybe they can make scored maximum of 300 runs but possibility to make 290-295 runs. I think India can score more runs than them.  And India can win in 2nd round of ODI. Let's see what will happen
West Indies vs India
In today's match, West Indies scored a winning run. West Indies' runs have made them more likely to win today.West Indies scored 311 runs losing 6 wickets after playing 50 overs.India need to score 312 runs to win. But I think it will be very difficult for India. However, let's see how much runs India can score against West Indies in today's match.
West Indies - 311/6 (50)
India - 11/0 (2.4)
India need 301 runs to win

The match is now being delayed due to rain. Indian batsmen are batting very slowly today. India collected 41 runs in 9.4 overs and did not lose any wicket. If India doesn't lose wickets then I think India has more chances to win this match. India has a lot of experienced players in its squad. And so if Indian players bat with patience they will win.
Match is at a very critical juncture right now for India. If they lose even a single wicket from here things will be very tricky for them, on the other hand if this partnership builds up it will become difficult for West Indies to break it. It's Sanju Samson's chance to fix his place in the team if he can be the anchor of the win today he can have a chance of being in the full time team. But the required run rate has climbed up to 7.5 I really doubt they would be able to do anything out of it now.
757  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finland and Sweden join NATO - Putin's plan backfiring on: July 24, 2022, 08:00:51 PM
This was obviously coming. And in coming months expect even more countries to join NATO rapidly than ever. Either they will join NATO or show clear support to Russia just like Belarus did. Otherwise surviving in Europe without taking any proper side is going to be a difficult task in coming decades no matter how much diplomacy you try to do, atleast until Putin is in power.
758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A season for stop loss on: July 24, 2022, 07:47:08 PM
This is the best time to pick your stop loss and make it an essential part of your trade. The market keeps falling and investors and traders alike keeps crying. It seems some wild prediction of Bitcoin giving those who missed the early opportunity of buying is coming alive. To avoid been caught up and trapped  by the market volatility stop loss should be as useful as every other technical or fundamental tool you can think of. It is better to risk a small fraction of your assets than losing it all
I agree with you on this. Especially for traders it's very important to keep a stop loss always. You always should make your trades with risk and reward in your mind and if some uncertain volatility just magically kicks in, it should not disturb your whole calculation so it's best to always have a stop loss on the system itself than just keeping a mental stop loss because sometimes market would fall so rapidly that you won't be able to put your mental stop loss in the system in time.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 07:32:18 PM
The government of Finland reportedly sold 1,900 BTC worth $47 million

Quote
Finland has offloaded 1,900 BTC that was seized from drugs-related crimes.

The country had announced the plans earlier this year, and was seeking two crypto brokers to assist with the transaction.

Unfortunately, the delays have caused the value of this Bitcoin to fall rather substantially — with a final selling price of about $47 million.

Finland says that the cash is going to be donated to Ukraine, in what will become the biggest crypto-related contribution that the country has received.

https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/finland-sells-1-900-btc-and-says-47m-will-be-donated-to-ukraine

So this is for a good cause after all, they wanted to help Ukraine in it's war and I think majority of us didn't support the war.

There is also a good thread by @paxmao regarding donations- Donate to Ukraine.
This is good intiative. Infact I feel not only bitcoin all the national reserves which are proceeds from what is caught during such crimes should be dealt in this manner only. It should be either donated for welfare of the people directly or should be used to educate people to avoid that crime in the future. If it is merged with the national treasury it's accountability is in entirely lost. I think it's a really good initiative by Finland but I don't know when will Ukraine's situation improve.
