Dash Funds Full Integration Into All General Bytes ATMs and CortexPay Point-of-Sale

Dash has funded a comprehensive integration into the General Bytes offerings, including a power point-of-sale system, all ATMs including two-way, and NFC contactless wallet cards.

The proposal, submitted by escrow service Green Candle, funds a complete integration into General Bytes’ product lineup. This includes two-way service for Dash, allowing customers to both buy and sell Dash at select ATM models (presently this two-way functionality is only available for Bitcoin and Litecoin), and will also enable the use of Dash’s InstantSend instant confirmation functionality.

According to Jeff Smith, Green Candle’s co-founder, the added functionality to two-way ATMs can leverage a truly cashless experience for Dash users:

747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | FUNDING THE FUTURE WITH THE FUTURE OF CURRENCY on: December 20, 2017, 02:07:49 AM

We at EMC2 want to clarify the announcement. The most important part of our foundation is our community. We would like to clarify that the excitement about Apple, or NASA did not came from the team. We would push it as far as on one of our tweets saying “The announcement is not about Apple at this time” was responded to saying “How great would it be if it’s about Apple”. Needless to say we are sorry that you do not feel that the news was sufficient enough. We would also like to clarify the reason why we said the announcement was mind blowing. These are the reasons we felt it would be this important.

We are changing our mining algorithm. What does that mean for you? Instead of large ASIC companies leading the way with mining we have decided to give that feature back to the community by focusing on GPU systems. This way millions of people across the world in all walks of life can have the opportunity to be profitable with EMC2 instead of just waiting in line behind big business. This is your coin, we don’t want to count on any large mining operation to make sure we thrive. We see the value on making it possible for anyone from an early teen getting into crypto, to a retired adult to trying to earn income.  We truly believe in the “decentralized” concept and don’t want to just be another coin talking about it.

We have never been closer to our BTM partnerships and will be a leading coin in atm withdrawals in the near future. We believe that making EMC2 ready for mainstream adoption is more important than any in-house crypto release.

We are expanding our team to ensure EMC2 stays ahead of the curve in the future of crypto. We want to build a coin that will ensure a good future for our holders and investors and not turn into just another coin on the list. Being the coin leading the way in scientific research, a huge untapped industry, we felt that working on cold storage devices like ledger nano and things like master nodes will help ensure the future of our coin and benefit coin holders.

We also believe that everyone understands the future of cryptocurrency. By getting into the mining rig market now we believe it will also provide profits for our investors in the future and supply a name people can trust in the mining equipment market.

These are all the reasons that exchanges are excited about working with EMC2 and the things we feel like we need to get done to finalize contracts we have been working on with the big names that we all as a community want to see EMC2 working with.

Thank you for all the love and support and we will keep you updated as we advance. Because of the reaction we will never be pre announcing news again. We are proud to be one of the few coins to live up to their word on making the announcement and tried our best to make it sizable for the community. I hope we have helped clarify the reasons no one stands in EMC2’s way in the crypto market!! The next announcement will be direct to social media so keep your eyes on the channel for more to come!!!

why not buy with online exchanges? Huh

I prefer the security and anonymity of OTC and ATMs.

I learned my lesson with MtGox. Lost 50 coins. Never again.

When I acquire coins, they go straight into offline cold storage, mostly paper wallets, although I do keep a small amount (less than 5 coins) in a Trezor for convenience.

I don't ever want to expose my coins to the internet. I also resent nosiness. Anonymity is the cornerstone of freedom.

Yes, ATM fees are usually higher than exchange fees but when you consider the cost of transferring fiat currency and the total lack of anonymity of online exchanges, it's a small price to pay.

Whenever I have the chance to acquire coins for cash, anonymously, it's a bonus. I've met other Bitcoiners at meetups who I only know on a first name basis. I've also bought coins from storefront gold and coin dealers without divulging my name. They get their cash, I get my coins, no names required.

Bitcoin Cash is now on CoinBase. This can turn bad for bitcoin for some time, but one thing we all should always remember.

ORIGINAL REMAINS ORIGINAL!

It can't beat bitcoin.

Every time Coinbase has a chance to retain or regain my respect, they lose even more.

Pretty soon they'll just be a Cryptsy 2.0 shitcoin peddler. Brian Armstrong obviously could give two shits about the Bitcoin movement as a whole.
Makes me glad I don't use them.

Me too.

JIMBOOOOO!!! To the ATM, rush!!!
(buying commission must be pretty low too)

Actually, the buy fee didn't come down at all at my closest ATM.

The price didn't really dip enough for my liking anyway. Dipping to where it was just a few short days ago isn't usually enough for me to buy.

Between the high fees and the shallow dip it wasn't worth it for me.

A couple of other machines offered better fees, but one is is a sketchy location and the other is too far outside my neighborhood. The cost of a cab would have negated any buying advantage considering the limited amount of fiat cash I have in hand at the moment.

Even if I had more cash and raced over in a cab, I might have been too late anyway. The price has already come halfway back up.

If it dips further and goes below $15k, I might be tempted to reallocate some funds to buy some more. For now however, I'll just hold.

what is a bitcoin game? :-D lol

hi ive got an old einsteiunium wallet from 2014 - found 1000 einsteinium? how can i access them and sell them? it seems like my wallet wont sync

I just went through this myself,

Your old wallet won't sync because there was recently a hard fork and they need to be moved to the new chain.

*wallet.dat can be found somewhere along the lines of C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Einsteinium if your using windows*

1. Make a copy of your wallet.dat file from the old wallet(this holds your balance)****DO NOT OVERWRITE IT*****
2. Download the new wallet from the website
3. Replace the wallet.dat from the new install with the wallet.dat that has your coins.

cheers,
Guy

good info there...

Einstineium has been around a long time so they have had plenty of time to make a significant agreement/partnership that can benefit everyone. I seriously doubt they would pull a Monero coin stunt.

759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No ICO on: December 19, 2017, 06:19:20 PM
I should probably already know this but is it possible to stake with blackhalo client same as I might stake with the Lore wallet currently.   Maybe I can just copy the index files across to speed up the synchronising as well.   I ask because I find I have to rescan alot to get mature coins on the Lore wallet, possibly that is the machines fault as it is old machine with only dual core and its running other things as well.

http://www.blackhalo.info/

Seems a great shame not to use the potential assets available.  Meanwhile Bitcoin is effectively throttling itself, theoretically if we transferred the same transaction volume to BLK then would it handle it ok ?   Obviously we should also have more active wallets at that time so maybe its impossible to say but Im interested in peoples estimates.   Capitalism is always competetive and I'm much more optimistic even if only in theory it can handle the workload because I do believe change is the only constant especially with such high monetary velocity, 2018 will not just be a repeat.
I'm still an eternal learner on these things but also the situation is dynamic, relying on price alone as an indication of success is a mistake imo and bitcoin will run into problems if they dont resolve that backlog amicably.  Speculative activity isnt enough to justify that fee cost
