741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs scam? on: September 20, 2017, 03:49:18 PM
There will be scams in there somewhere, there has to be with the amount of ICOs that are popping up almost daily, many you can tell from the start but the clever ones will hook you right up until the launch.

As long as you have done your own research and looked at all the angles you should be okay, but nothing is every guaranteed in this world.

To all outstanding investors: only 12 days remaining!

How can you say their investment is seen as lost? You got your money but they haven't got their tokens. Your ICO had complications in sending and receiving tokens. I was one of the investor who got my tokens after 1 month+ of investment date.

You need to honor your end of bargain and keep those tokens locked until the investors shows up. You can request for additional checks when they try to claim. But you cannot say its LOST!
I have to agree, I don't think it would be the best move to treat them as lost just in case they do come in the future and try to claim their investment.

I don't think it would be too much bother to place these tokens and coins into a wallet somewhere out of the way and just leave them there until they eventually come to claim or if not just leave them there but I think it would be a mistake to put them into circulation and treat the investments as lost?

As I get it, a simple claim is impossible as exchanges were used. So it has to be done manually if i´m right. So i can understand the team
I don't think this is relating specifically to the exchange issue.  These are unclaimed tokens, people that invested but did not enter their address (claiming stage)  in order to claim their coins and the ones that the Dimcoin team have tried to contact various times without success, some of these could be exchange users also, that's how I am understanding it but I could be wrong.

745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Truth behind JP Morgan's CEO comment about Bitcoin on: September 18, 2017, 04:37:40 PM
It's a strange one, saying that bitcoin is a fraud and will soon be closed is crazy speak and gives the impression that he does not know much about bitcoin.

Is this just a facade to make people think the banks are clueless when in fact they are more clued up then most?

I suggest it was a clever move to see how their influence effects bitcoin and of course to buy a large share in the overall supply.

746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA new exchange on: September 18, 2017, 12:30:22 PM
IOTA really could do with getting onto another couple of exchanges, I have only used Bitfinex purely for IOTA and I really don't like their exchange, not as simple as others but that's just me I suppose.
747  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the future of BTC for the next two years on: September 18, 2017, 12:02:49 PM
Bitcoin hasn't really dropped that much, if it went below $2k then it would be a bit more worrying but this is just the way bitcoin seems to work, goes high and it goes low.

The next two years we will see it at least double / triple in it's price and then follow the same pattern until the next double.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the China ban affected ICO fund raising? on: September 15, 2017, 04:36:20 PM
It will certainly have an effect but he world is a large place and although China plays a huge part I think we'll be alright.
749  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: September 15, 2017, 06:58:20 AM
I think we will be going down a bit further possibly below $2k for the final dip before shooting up close to and then beyond $5k that's what I'm hoping for.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China to close all bitcoin exchanges by end-September: Yicai on: September 15, 2017, 06:55:17 AM
It is not qute clear what's happening, I think there is a lot of fear mongering as the only thing I have seen for sure is that ICOs have been banned.
751  Other / Off-topic / Re: Its time to buy bitcoins? on: September 14, 2017, 04:30:24 PM
Bitcoin is now a.lot cheaper than it was 2 weeks ago, could this be the last time we see it this low? who knows but if you have the money then now is probably a very good time to buy.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 = the season of ICO's . Good or Bad for Cryptocurrency Ecosytem? on: September 14, 2017, 10:58:15 AM
I think it is good and also bad, it is good because it has given people / projects the road to getting investment that normally would struggle but it has also opened the floodgates to scams and people just taking other people's money.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Jamie! Just bought some cheap coins again. on: September 13, 2017, 11:29:25 AM
I think his comment is just another one like all the others, it will make only a few nervous but the real bitcoin people couldn't care less what these banking people have to say, of course they will try to derail bitcoin as it directly opposes their sinister business.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know if Cryptocurrency and Real Estate go together? on: September 13, 2017, 10:30:28 AM
It does seem quite high, the one I am currently looking at (as you can see from my signature) were talking in their AMA about possibly 10 - 15%
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: September 13, 2017, 09:11:17 AM
Selling 7785 dimcoins
Dude, Ophyrim just two comments above yours explained that there is a dedicated trading thread already open https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2158452.msg21601738#msg21601738 Smiley
756  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: what happens when someone scam in ico? on: September 13, 2017, 07:26:23 AM
They just run away with all the money, there is no regulation so there is no comeback or protection for the investor so everyone needs to be very cautious and research before investing in any ICO.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon says bitcoin is a 'fraud' Whats your take? on: September 13, 2017, 07:23:47 AM
JP Morgan have their own blockchain stuff going on so calling bitcoin a fraud is just stupid.  If anyone is a fraud surely it would be the banks as they are the ones ripping people off and then having the people bail them out when they can't mange their business.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Bans Bitcoin Exchanges, will they also ban Bitcoin mining? on: September 13, 2017, 07:21:44 AM
Fake news, but effective fake news as the price has dropped quite a bit and then JPMorgan come out and call bitcoin a fraud and that it will blow up, looks like some big boys want in on bitcoin at a much lower entry point.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: September 13, 2017, 07:19:40 AM
It will happen it is just a matter of time, gradually one by one they will all start to accept bitcoin, we are still in the early days of bitcoin we have at least another 5 years ahead of us before everybody knows what bitcoin is.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] LOCI Thinking Better. Together. on: September 12, 2017, 04:31:02 PM
This is a pretty cool idea and the fact you are already here with a product is a bonus amidst the high volume of ICOs we are seeing right now.
