741  Other / Off-topic / Up to .2 Bounty **** Sanity Check**** on: February 06, 2014, 02:28:18 PM
Yes, it's a real bounty. I want someone to conduct a sanity check on me, my posts actually. Not that I truly need validation; just figured this could be interesting (for me at least). I'll try to be brief, after all, you might have some extensive reading to do if you want to claim this bounty.

Background:
Either I don't understand, people don't understand, or there's some type of unknown communication barrier thing going on that I evidently don't understand. Anyways, I find myself having to break 'stuff' down into small bite size pieces just to get a point/idea across. WTF? .03 is what I offered someone who misinterpreted a point I made. I asked him to show me where I said 'it' for .03 btc. Needless to say he didn't even acknowledge my challenge, but kept coming back with trivial rebuttals. He didn't want the bounty so I'm offering it away.

Task:
Review my post history and tell me what you think. Do I make any kind of sense, do I just don't get it, what the hell am I missing? Do I put too much thought into it? Put your higher thinking level hats on and help me understand, it's your assessment. This task will require that you revisit some of the threads I posted/responded to get the whole picture. So simply going to my profile and scrolling my posts may not give you all the info you need.

Reward:
.03 btc awarded per contribution. The amount you end up with depends on how substantial the contribution is. Substantial doesn't necessarily mean length in this context. You'll have to explain your position, providing reference links if you'd like.

Bonus .05 - There are a few inquiries I made I felt were valid. Based on my perception, as your contributions are based on yours. If you find them and help me make sense of them, I'll give you an extra .05 btc. You'll have to find them all. This is not impossible; you'll recognize them when you see them.

Rules:
There's no limit to the number of times any one person can contribute and a post can contain more than one contribution. Repeating/rewording what's already been stated without further insight is not considered a contribution. You are free to ask me probing questions.

Twist:
Just to keep in interesting... Your contribution can be challenged by others and you can challenge others' contribution. The winner of the challenge gets the bounty.

Deadline:
I suppose we can give it a few days? Until the bounty is all gone? Let's just play it out, see how it goes. Bounty will be paid at the time of contribution.

Impressive - excellent investigation! Do yourself and the community a favor by helping to spread the word that he's a scammer Smiley

We also don't know how likely it is for Live to develop at all, even if all the conditions are perfectly met. Is it a certainty that live develops if a planet has the right descitions or still very rare? Also even if live develops, how probable is it that an intelligent species develops and at the same time is outfitted with the tools (Hands!) to make use of this intelligents? If dolphins where even more intelligent than Humans they still couldn't build anything to develop a civilization.

In Billions of species on this planet, this happened exactly once! It actually could have been universes event of 50 Tails in a row.

While life on this planet being seeded from elsewhere is possible (Panspermia) there are several theories of how life might've came about, and one is life coming from organic matter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis, so I don't think we can agree that it didn't, but this is probably one of the questions that we'll never know the answer to and can only speculate on.

No doubt  Smiley  So many possibilities it's impossible to validate whether Aliens exist - unless they warped over for a visit, lol.

745  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in Aliens? on: February 06, 2014, 12:45:07 PM
Some single cell organism that eventually spawned all this came from somewhere in the great vastness we call the universe
Yes, I agree. "Aliens" are often portrayed as grey beings with hands and feet like we do. They may very well be very primitive organisms such as bacteria/virus in water. I remember watching a documentary about the possibility of liquid water in one of Jupiter's moons.

Intelligent beings takes billions of years to evolve into, and may not last very long (judging by our pollution and weapons capability). Finding another alien species at around our evolution stage is actually extremely difficult. So, if we were to find alien lifeforms, it would be primitive organisms like bacteria/virus.

Good point.

You've got to be pretty dense to somehow assume you know what level of education I achieved. I have enough education to know that you don't need to put 3-5 exclamation points on the end of your sentences. Stupid.
LOL!!!!! <--- You can't be for real. It was for lots of emphasis, but without the yelling. OMG, you must still be in school? Makes sense. Regardless, you just proved my point again that you don't have much comprehension.

Are you stupid? You're turning down free coins!
Your immature behavior along with your overuse of exclamation marks makes you look like you're either stupid or in high school. Only a teenage girl would use "LOL!!!!!". And I'm comprehending you fine, but your attitude and the way you conduct yourself is baffling.

Oh my. The way I 'conduct' myself is baffling (impossible to understand; perplexing) to you is because your brain isn't mature enough to grasp how your rebuttals make no sense. Prove me wrong.

.03 btc will be awarded to you right now if you take me up on my challenge....... <---- look, ellipsis!
747  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Need Help Please, I think this guy SCAM ( fool me ) .. on: February 06, 2014, 12:25:07 PM
FenixRD,

What actually address zero ?  is this address create illegal coin that the protocol cannot accept it ?, why still recorded on the blockchain ?
And how this guy can have the coin ? He said got it from mining ... or it has another way to get coins ?, are he bought it ?
When it's said not possible to create a valid Tx signature its mean that this guy also cannot spend it right ?, but the dangerous thing that he able to make same SCAM scenario again and again, because the coins will always there.
If this so, BitCoin  .. still have big vulnerability due this kind of bug, regular guy like me will be very careful to have any interaction with BitCoin , there still so many threat that us not yet have any clue due security and network protocol.

ironmask,

I'm certain English isn't your first language, so I'll try to translate what's going on:

The address is not creating coins. It's on the blockchain because all transactions are listed. You are correct. The scammer cannot spend the coins, no can spend them. Ever. Coins are sent to bitcoin addresses. So the address can still accept coins, but no one will ever be able to send the coins out of that address.

Honestly, I don't know enough about the technical part to break it down, but I can tell you that it doesn't happen often. Using bitcoins is safer than using your credit card. The problem isn't with vulnerabilities or other security features of bitcoin, the threat comes from regular who don't understand how the system works.

You can't just ring the police and tell them to take somebody away. It doesn't work like that. They need to be an apparent danger to themselves or the public. A lawsuit waiting to happen would be getting kidnapped by the police just because somebody reported you as being depressed or dangerous.

Seriously? I don't think you comprehended what you read. Please tell WHERE I said anything that even hinted at this?!!!! I will throw a few coins your way if you can. <--- not a joke.

In the future before you butt into other people's convo and put words in their mouths' - learn to understand what you read Smiley
Oh sorry, I didn't realise this was your thread, but I'll be sure to call the police to help change my tyre next time or to give my gran a lift to the shops, so thanks for your advice.  Smiley

Seriously? Still don't understand what I said, I see. You missed the whole damn point, but think you're actually making one by taking something out of context. To those of us who have more than middle school education, you've officially just made yourself look like an idiot. Congrats!!!

And please don't pass up my offer on giving you free coins!!!!! I wasn't joking. But if you pass I understand. You'd only validate what the hell I said. Stupid.
I'll take the coins, thanks.

Bet. And drum roll waiting for your response....

Dude get back into gaming
Financial stuff doesn't seem to be your thing
And get some pussy

Oh, I think you think I'm the OP? Ok, I called myself a blonde because I asked for clarification on what PG was hinting at... and now you're posting pics and and trash talking, to me? lol, too much! What I didn't want to assume is whether PG is telling us the OP created this thread on the anniversary of signing up here, and have since dropped off the radar. In other words... we don't know the outcome of OP's subject line. I know I think too damn much, which is why I asked. Didn't realize I was going to confuse anyone by asking that!? Jeez!

From my short existence on this board I realize most of you are simply not on my plain. I find myself having to explain in grave detail some of the most simple concepts that people still don't seem to comprehend. I know I was the smartest in class, but damn! It's not that hard. But you totally just gave me an idea! I'm going to offer a bounty for a sanity check Smiley This should be fun, lol.

Unfortunately it is.

Oh take the compliment for what it is, seriously! I'm not talking about you're know how to solve this - but you would be hailed as a genius if you succeeded.  Tongue  What I meant to convey is how refreshing it is to read this thread. I enjoy reading the scams (no pun intended OP, it's so I won't get caught with my skirt up again; learn from others' mistakes), but your willingness to help and the fact that you're obviously not trying to pull a scam within a scam, brings things back into perspective a bit. If that makes any sense Smiley

Heh. Of course, sorry. I've never been very good at accepting compliments based on effort alone. It is a character flaw of mine. Thank you for the kind words. Smiley

Indeed, this scam was completely off my radar. Granted, adopting the recommended policy of *always* sweeping funds before completing a deal, rather than accepting an exposed privkey, negates this threat; but, I would not have been looking for this type of thing specifically. And I've been around for a good while. It's a useful reminder to keep the guards up and not make exceptions to the "best practices".

No doubt!
****
dang it... I just read my previous post. I know the difference between you're and your. I hate when my fingers think for me, lol.
755  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in Aliens? on: February 06, 2014, 08:32:17 AM
As a scientist I find it fascinating that so many people are certain of the existence of space aliens.  There is no real evidence to support this position yet we see that a majority of people here still believe. At the same time many well founded, even proven, theories are dismissed because of a "belief" they are not true.

I'm curious as to why. Why would someone believe in say aliens, when there is no science behind it? On what is this belief based?

I can't say why so many believe in aliens but here's another way to think of this: Life didn't germinate out of nothingness on earth, agree?

Some single cell organism that eventually spawned all this came from somewhere in the great vastness we call the universe. Now, if you're with me (I think you are unless we've finally figured out how to create life), then you'll understand what I'm about to say....

It doesn't matter if an organism hitched a ride on an asteroid or were planted here by intelligent beings...  just saying there's no real evidence for people NOT to believe. Even if we're the only intelligent life in the universe, it wouldn't negate the fact that there's life (alien life because it didn't start here), out there. Give it some thought.

But now I'm curious about something as well. As a scientist - you know that nothing is fact until it has been proven. We haven't proven otherwise, so isn't it fair to say that it's just a theory that we're alone in the universe? Only once we've explored all possibilities will "we're alone" become fact. I'm actually really surprised of your position on this topic and why you asked these questions...

I don't rock nearly enough. I can think of no way to resurrect these coins. People have been wanting to for years. Sad

I PMed a couple fellows more  knowledgeable than I to make sure I'm not missing something, just in case.

759  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinBet Casino, Sportsbook - Now offering up to 200% Match Bonus up to $10,000! on: February 06, 2014, 06:36:04 AM
You'd be free to let us know why the IP's match when asked. Then we'd probably look the other way, but yes, that IS, in fact, a violation of our terms and conditions. If you lied about the reason for the match, or tried to avoid responding, then yea, we'd probably ban the account. This isn't for OUR benefit, just FYI, it's for the security of our players' accounts. Using public wifi for anything related to financial transactions is just plain stupid. Everyone knows that. The fact that you're trying to criticize us for that just shows you have some axe to grind here and are looking for reasons to call us out.

Okay... let's try this again:
Your T&Cs do not say IP address. There's NO mention of IPs at all - it says 'environments where computers are shared.' Everybody using the same IP don't have to be using the same computer. Does it make sense now? And I'm not looking for reasons to call you out, you're giving them to me! Seriously, you are! Here - let me show you:

"...let us know why the IP's match when asked. Then we'd probably look the other way..." Probably??? Now come on, would you take your word over your T&Cs that you've felt the need to remind us that "For the last time: IF YOU VIOLATE OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE TERMINATED." <-- that came from you, in this thread.

"We have a policy of giving warnings prior to banning in most cases." <--- you again. You're not obligated to, and why would I take your word when you have "the right to cancel any Player's account for any reason whatsoever at any time without notice to the Player" according to your T&Cs!? As a Player, I'm not bound by your internal policies, but I am to your T&Cs. And besides, you've even admitted you can't control what your reps say, even if it's in error, what we need to know is in the T&Cs. So this doesn't apply to you, huh? SMH. Yes, I know.

Like I said, you contradict yourself over and over again, digging your own damn hole (your choice to continue, ok). But I'll give you one thing... you actually choose your words carefully/deliberately and well to the common. But give me some credit here, lol! Dig this: Consider my previous suggestion to revisit your T&Cs. My initial review of them was just the obvious.

You refuse to acknowledge that anyone with any legitimate action loves our site, loves our support, and has had great experiences here. I'm sorry you had issues with playing penny slots with free voucher money. We removed the problematic slots you pointed out, which, to be fair, were not managed or supplied by us. Like every other casino site in the world, those slots are provided by third party vendors.
This is a lie... like so many of the other lies you've just officially motivated me to pluck out of this thread to remind everyone of. I have defended you in this thread, complimented you, even continued to wish you well through all the accusations others - AND btw I still had the same problems with the slots when I made a real deposit. So you see, just another lie you passed. The excessively high difficulty level being only related to the free vouchers simply isn't true. I proved that, even sent a screenshot to tech support. And mention penny slots one more time... what's the max bet on these penny slots? Here's one better - Ask around; penny is not how you want to define my wallet.

Here's what you failed to realize about everything I've said on this thread, john: I know how to communicate a point neutrally. These points aren't taking sides, they're to create awareness (this is a forum, you know). Does that make sense? But moving along... you don't deserve my business.
My name isn't John, sorry. Best of luck to you in the future.
john (lower case j) was actually on purpose. It wasn't an attempt to call out your name; I have no clue what your name is... but since explaining why I called you john is something I sense you wouldn't understand, there's really no need to go there; you didn't get it. But this reminds me... now that I've apparently made an enemy, I best change my IP... don't want you passing it on to other casinos, you know. Hey, you did it before, how would I know you wouldn't do it again? My luck might actually turn around, shit.

--- Oh, I'll be sure to let people know how stupid they are for using public wi-fi in an attempt to maintain their anonymity with btc transactions. Who cares if the connection claims to be secure, right.
760  Other / Off-topic / Re: I don't know what else to do. Forgive me for this. Worth a shot. on: February 06, 2014, 04:50:27 AM
