we are now up 94%. i reckon $1m mkt cap by morning
natural growth happens over years, not all the sudden. the coin is probably being prepumped, and yes, it will go up, but you better cash out at the correct time
too bad only the few ppl pumping it know when that is, ussualy middle of the night so all the noobs wake up to being owned out of 80% of their BTC

again look how litecoin, bitcoin, they were dormant for years, and then boom. virtual currency is the future where the markets are worth trillions, are you really expecting a slow rise if its a good coin. listen mate we can go on and on, but nothing you say will change my mind. if you posted yesterday i would not be in a nice bit of profit which i am adding to when i can. as far as pumps, this would not rise slowly if it were a pump, understand that.

since my last post we have moved further up, so its clear your comments are being ignored

cheerio
your coin has 60 btc volume today dude from 2 exchanges. ITS NOTHING, ITS NOT A REAL PRICE MOVEMENT. its been slowly rising, cuz the person who plans on pumping, was buying in their coins on the cheap. so they can dump on you when they pump it. but do what you want. ever heard of the term, PRE-PUMP??? theirs people with enough potcoin to take that price to nothing, on such low volume.

Considering that only a week ago it was a much lower volume, I think you are ignoring organic growth in this coin.  There's a lot more going on than just on this forum.

742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: March 09, 2014, 09:15:29 PM
go sell 5 btc worth, and tell me where your price is. lol
3500$ can drop your market cap from whatever it is to half, you dont get that???
i think coins like these feed off new people, which is why its so hyped on social media and whatnot, cuz most of those people listening to shit about crypto on social media are new, and have NO understanding how crypto really works, they just buy into what people tell them, without their own research. this coin fits that perfectly, plus its good name, its easy money
i use social media as a starting point, to maybe hear of a new coin or whatever, but if your putting hard earned money into something, i would think you would want to do some real research, like i do also, before throwing money at it.

Well, there's hundreds of coins you can put your money into.

But how many coins are you going to get behind and do something to help make them successful?  That's the difference really between a speculator and an investor.  If you are an investor, then you care about the future of the coin, if you are a speculator, then you are only in it for short term gains and don't want to invest any time or effort to make the project successful.

I suggest everyone pick coins that they honestly feel have good developers/community and invest for the long-haul.  Your efforts will be multiplied
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: March 09, 2014, 09:12:41 PM
at 2250 now, glad im in. remember guys if potcoin gets used revenue is in billions. $13billion and then revenue is expected to rise to $100billion. this gonna be in the top 20

Think this is real demand or someone is pumping?!?

No, it is real demand.  There is a lot of interesting growing in this coin.  Most of the buys are not large buys anyways.  Very minimal buy/sell walls.

if you lost money with one coin now $40k with takeicoin i would think you should rethink your stuff and do something will make you money.

Cheesy I'm still up from cryptocurrencies and I enjoy it! It's been a rough month but all together I'm still happy to be involved.

Wonderful.

I look forward to seeing how this coin changes direction... this could be a real success story in the end.

I am still out 1 BTC and no longer hold any TAK.  I held on until the very end with Takeicoin!

Feel free to send some BTC goodwill.

An update from our end...

We are pretty confident we're going forward with takeAcoin (TAK). takeAcoin.org & takeactionproject.org will be our two sources of information.

Take Action Project will be the forefront of our focus. We will be releasing more information about the project and our mission after we get everything settle from a technical standpoint. The basic idea behind the project is that we would encourage people who already choose to donate to any organization in the world to make the payment in takeAcoin, if they do so Take Action Project will donate an additional 1-2% in takeAcoin to the same charity.

We are hoping over the next few days to have a temporary website available to provide some basic information of the idea as well as our wallet to be downloadable. We will ask for some patients in taking this project to the next level. My friends and I are pretty dedicated to this idea, we've been extremely interested in crypto for roughly a years time now - and we've been looking for a way to integrate our business idea with crypto currencies for some time. However we all have full time jobs, we are spread out geographically and we like to take our time in making decisions/moves. We will have more good stuff to come in the coming days & weeks. We appreciate the help of those who have been provided support! Please feel free to post or PM me if you have feedback/comments/suggestions in anyway. Thanks!

Here's another acronym you can use:

Thoughtfulness And Kindness Coin

If this was a pump and dump it surely was the worst one in history because I lost about $40,000
can You explained how You lost when You are the first know about this news come man better then that

I bought in a lot at the highs as well, also keep in mind im NOT a miner and there was no premine. Plus do you guys think it's free to develop coins, do branding, make sites, pay for press releases. etc.

I'm probably the biggest $$$ loser in all of this.
if you lost 40grand, it was in potential profits, you didnt put 40grand into this.
its not the same as all the trader who put hard earned money into it to get shit on
if you put 40grand cash into this, theirs no way you didnt sell when you got the news from them. what you think we think your the greatest samaritan ever??
and if you did, i feel for you. you are better than most in this industry. but i doubt it

... I sold at the absolute lows.
And lastly for the record when it hit cryptsy this morning I had about $160,000 worth at the high end and was working my real job, missing any chance to sell.

Just to clarify for everyone SageFit,

Did you sell your coins before or after deleting your Twitter account and taking down Takeicoin website?
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *17 Exchanges on: March 09, 2014, 05:36:12 PM

It is not as it leaves alot of people puzzled

Quote
Because after 5 weeks it is basically a pure PoS coin, it does not need to be intensively mined, as the PoW payout will remain the minimum. Most coins will be generated through PoS, thus it is a coin that will save a lot of energy compared to other coins.

Its basically saying "stop mining you won't get anything anyhow, just keep x million in your wallet and never spend it.
Cryptocoins without mining are dead cryptocoins because miners provide most hashrate.
Cryptocoins that are kept are extremly deflationary, that means you won't spend your coin because if you don't you have more tomorrow. But a currency that is not spend is worthless.

Is this news to you? You knew this was a proof of stake coin, right? Of course mining will stop now, that is the whole point. No more mining, no more wasting electricity. Miners can move on to mining other coins, if they wish, while still making more mintcoins and contributing to the network through the proof of stake process. The network will be supported by minting and any miners that decide to stick around to take advantage of the extremely low difficulty.

edit: And just because there is no more mining does not mean that there will be no more spending. It does mean that there will be no more multipool dumping, though.

You didnt get the whole economy/money thing what I wrote about.
Deflationary coins are bullshit when people realize that the marked stales.

Actually, you don't know that for sure.  Did you know that block rewards and mining will still be done even though there is a finite cap on the number of coins?

In other words, the fees that are spent will go back into the network and new Mints will be created to replace those old Mints.  It is actually a new paradigm and gives a third dimension to the inflation/deflation argument.

This is the same concept as Bitcoin, except that Mint doesn't require massive amounts of energy in order to accomplish this goal, it is done by everyone and anyone who runs a client on their computer.

Bitcoin might be on top right now, but who knows what the long-term will bring, so don't think that you know everything about economics and money.

Cheers

Hashstrike still hashing away splitting 1 coin each block found between 214 people Roll Eyes

Woohoo we're all getting rich!

I'll be turning off fees for anybody that really still does want to mine for 1 coin. It's been fun guys, but the mining days for this coin are over.

Why do statements like this make me want to sell all my mint here and re-buy double at 7 satoshi? Irrational exuberance beginnings usually end with a capitulation bottom.

"Buy the rumor, sell the news" The biggest catalyst that was viewed as this coins crowning achievement has come and gone. What is the next event that is equal in importance that will support this price for weeks or months? All the people who bought at 3 & 4 satoshi by the BILLION are not going to sit by patiently as those who bought at 60 capitulate and sell into an ugly tape driving the price lower.

I still like MINT long term but I think we go lower from here. I still hold my core position that I will never sell, but my speculative $ is on the sidelines for now.

What do you guys think? Any logical reasons to look forward to another big catalyst soon that will propel speculative investors to buy MINT?

My speculation is that price would go up since trade volume would be reduced significantly since so many people are holding, and mining is not possible anymore. This will mean that each coin traded would be worth more since less coins are supplied to the market. People who haven't heared about MINT will be eager to get in since it has interest, so the amount of mint add the exchanges would go down and the demand would go up, the result is an enormous price since this coin becomes so rare. People need to buy in order to obtain this coin since there is just no other way.

Yep..

The only way to acquire this coin now for someone who doesn't have it is to buy it.  Like I said, provided that just 20 new people buy .1 BTC each of Mint a day, they will soak up all the new coins created each day (at current prices)

It might take a while to eat away those sell walls, but the days of whales speculating in this coin will be over soon enough.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: March 09, 2014, 08:35:10 AM
Well someone just wiped out my buy wall.. don't let them push it down it will happen over and over again progress make sellers suffer :-)

That might have been me.  I needed to change some coins over to BTC so I could pay someone back that I borrowed some BTC from.  Sorry!

In my opinion, you got a good deal.  If I didn't have to pay someone back I would have held them for much longer!

I am still holding a sizeable amount of Potcoins and looking forward to helping increase the value!

This is great news below here!

SMOKEMON

Hey smokemon,

I sent bittrex-bill your way for promoting Potcoin.  We look forward to getting some traffic on his exchange as well as increasing the visibility and availability of Potcoin.

I blog about Mintcoin and what's happening within the community.  I will be working on another blog soon that will focus primarily on helping Potcoin develop it's niche within the Cannabis community.

Also, I am promoting Potcoin in Cannabis Culture forums:

http://forums.cannabisculture.com/forums/index.php?/topic/184681-potcoininfo-hits-the-bitcoin-world-need-your-help/

I am working toward making coins with a good brand and good community have long-term potential and mass appeal.

Cheers

I think since mining is over, this should push the price higher because of lack of dumping.
But on the other hand, there are a lot of people who invested in MINT because they expected to make huge profit when the PoW stops. They thought the price would jump. Since this is not happening, I think they will start selling some of their MINT soon (during the next week). So this should drive the price down for a while.

After that, I think the MINT market would stabilize and I expect the price to go up very very slowly because people would mostly keep their coins for long term interest.

Of course, if speculators enter the game then it is anyone's guess about the price fluctuations!

Well, the supply of coins is now down to less than 10,000,000 per day instead of 125,000,000

At current prices that takes less than 2BTC of new investment per day.

You better believe the prices are going to rise.

btw: I love how PotCoin rips off themes  here is our DopeCoin info website : http://dopecoin.info/news/ and now they've changed theres to http://highonpotcoin.info  .  Strange stuff guys...

bashing other coins doesn't help your cause...

good luck with Dopecoin, but Potcoin has a pretty solid community behind it and there's plenty of room for two coins to exist.  you act like people are making a choice between the two.  why not support both?  i agree with Potcoin dev, grow up a bit Smiley

Friends it's with an extremely heavy heart I am posting this. I poured a lot of time and money into this venture, both a complete loss, and I'm very saddened to see the outcome.

Today we got an email from Mr. Brad Takei, indicating that George was not in fact interest, although they had been watching the project for quite some time. The recent news with Bitcoin was cited as a major contributor to this decision. That said they did in fact ask we remove all images and related products from the site. Brad then stated he would be open to listen to Mrs. Windsor's take on the situation.

This is where it gets good. The second issue, that happened only minutes before, is that we got a call from Mrs. Windsors lawyers. They decided that with recent BTC news and the current state of crypto currencies that it would not be good for Mrs. Windsors image to attach her name to such a venture.

TakeiCoin had 100% top of the line intentions and the last thing in the world we want is to bring any unwanted attention to someone's name, especially people who have worked so hard to do so much good in this world.

I take full responsibility for what has happened and my sincerest and deepest apologies to anyone who lost money. As I do not have the funds nor the ambition to go to court with such wonderful people, I have decided the best road is to call it a day and pull the plug.

I am currently in talks about passing the reigns to someone else and give the coin a rebranding.

GG, Sagefit!

Worldcoin 2.0

Maybe you should stay away from trying to help the world for a while

1. The dev already know takei won't endorse it and probably threaten legal action.
2. He buy in votes on cryptsy to create hype.
3. He dumps like crazy today.
4. He announce that takei don't want to be involved.
5. Close the twitter and website.
6. Profit.

Thing is, he didn't make any profit at all and the dump on cryptsy was really small. So all that work he did for months only got him what 2btc? Not even worth talking about.

I'm sure this is real and he was forced to remove the site and twitter account from Takei's lawyers.

How do you know he wasn't mining coins himself and dumping them?  You can rent hashing power online.

What do we know?

We do know that Sagefit was behind the Worldcoin scam, Unocs, Scharmbeck, and now TakeiCoin.

He lied from the beginning about George Takei being onboard.

You would have to be pretty naive to think that he didn't walk away with a profit.

I think he made the mistake of bringing out this coin before the green lite with Geroge Takei.  We could fork the coin and have someone else take over and keep going with it.

What's the point?

Might as well just cut your losses and buy something else

Nothing has change in regards to the coin, no?

If the coin itself is still in good health from a dev stand point I might have just the project to use this coin for.

My friends and I were looking to invest some money behind a coin and use for charity donations. We'd be making monthly $5k donations with the use of the coin to charities around the globe. We've been talking about paying someone to create a coin for us, but if this thing is already moving forward we could pick up with this one.

Edit; after all, isn't that what this coin's purpose was in the first place?

This coins purpose was a pump and dump.

http://takeicoin.org/

If that's the case it was a bit too elaborate. Also, so much personal info (if it's real) provided.

As was stated before, Worldcoin was a scam, Scharmbeck was a scam, and now Takeicoin was a scam, and Sagefit has something to do with everyone of those.
