741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, New Dev and New Plans! on: January 17, 2015, 10:28:25 PM
Hi folks!

So the next version should bring an IRC feature inside the wallet as well as a block explorer. It also should fix the freezes experienced since V1.5.

Sounds good.  I'm guessing you're the new dev and have taken control of this account then? Or you still the same guy?

Anyways, if you are the new guy, welcome!  In case you weren't aware, we have this block explorer which tracks jackpot winners, richlist, and stuff like that, but integrating some of that into the wallet I think would be a welcome thing as well. http://explorer.jpcpal.com/

I'm the same person, the dev works behind the scene, because he wishes to remain anonymous.

With the release of 1.6, I'll be doing one or more giveaways. Also note that we are offering new bounties for new games (1 Million JPC for each new game).

And we have some plans to give JPC more usage, but it's too early mention them. That will take some time.

Any time frame on a new wallet.

I have tried everything to get this thing to stake and no luck.

Tried the nodes posted above no staking.

Tried completely redownloading the blockchain on a different computer and no luck.

The issue I believe is with my wallet .dat. I say that because after the resync to a new computer and then I add my wallet .dat is when the problems exist. Now my wallet gets the "Not Responding" message everytime I click it and it stays that way for up to 5 minutes.

I even tried the --reindex through the command but nothing.

EDIT: I basically have a wallet with a bunch of coins that I can't do nothing with.

Edit II: So I took the wallet .dat out of the appdata folder and the wallet works fine. Put it back in and I get the errors again.

I keep getting this error an the wallet closes. (Sorry don't know how to embed pic).

http://s21.postimg.org/y799b7epj/message.png

I am using the version  0.30.07 and did not have issues with the other wallets. Also on Windows 7 64 bit.

Hi
I'm sorry you are having problems. Let's run through a quick check list just to narrow down the issue.

x64 Windows - Check
0.30.07 - Check
Backup all data to separate folder -- pending
Start client with -reindex flag--pending
Redownload Block chain -- pending

Please do the three and let me know what happens.

Sorry to ask but how do I start it with the --reindex?

Start wallet then type that in the console?

Start command line interface

cd /path/to/your/data/folder/

bitcredit-qt.exe -reindex

Ok, thanks.

It is really late here so I'll do it in the morning.

745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 13, 2015, 07:37:56 PM
Does anyone out there want to sell 6500 SPR? Let me know Smiley I really want to increase my stash of this coin but no one is willing to sell large quantities on the exchanges Sad Also I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to get these coins and it doesn't look like anyone is dumping these coins anytime soon! Damn you valuable SpreadCoin!! LOL Now I'm all addicted to you and can't get enough Wink Jesus H. Corbett!
Put a buy order at .00045 on Bittrex.  If nobody hits it within a few hours I'll hit it for you since you're the biggest SPR cheerleader.

Why would you purposely drop the price? If you both trust each other then do a private sale. Send half at a time or something like that if you don't feel like doing a whole sale in one lump sum.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 12, 2015, 01:12:26 PM
For less than $200 - around $149 new or $90 on ebay - purchase an EVGA - Nvidia 750ti.  It is extremely low power comsumption and processes at about 1.5 mh/s not oc'd.

Thanks, I will check it out.

So how much power does it consume when running 100%?

I don't have a meter but I would say it is under 80 watts, probably more around 60 watts or less.

Just going off of what the card is rated.

What? This low!
So this probably means she doesn't even need extra power cable attached, right?
She'll draw what she needs from the PCI-E port, right?

As stated above correct. But there are some cards that are made with a 6 pin power connector but I don't see a need for those as they are not much faster than the non powered ones.

748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: neoscrypt algo for ccminer and nvidia card: call for donation on: January 12, 2015, 07:08:07 AM
No I did not want to quote the post.

So should these devs work for free? I don't know for sure but I would guess they probably have not gotten 5 BTC in donations for supplying these miners.

Funny you should bring up Claymore. Of course he updates regularly. Wouldn't you when you get 5% (yes I know he drops the fee down eventually) of what is being mined by that miner. It is in his best interest to update. The faster miner's mine. The faster he gets income. And ask the Prime Coin miners how they felt about his updates once Monero became big. There are rumors floating in his threads that he made high 5 figures to low 6 figures for all his miners. And you know what, if he did good for him. He provided a product that people used.

And wolf. He has the ability to make a miner 20-50% or more faster. Why should he not be compensated for his time.

Same thing with these Nvidia devs. I have openly said I wished they could do the same but I guess prohibited from the license in the code. So djm34 is crowdfunding to make something available that is not available at this time. Should he do it for free?

If any of you go to work and do it for free then let me know. Better yet if something should be given for free, pm me and I will give you a BTC address and you can give me something for nothing. Because that is what is being said here.

Really though if anyone has issues then don't use the miners and make your own and this whole point is moot.

Last time I will reply to you but your link does not work and in the title I see fpga, this is not a fpga thread.

This is an Nvidia thread so maybe you did understand when I said an optimized miner, that was for Nvidia cards.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, New Dev and New Plans! on: January 12, 2015, 04:57:26 AM
Do not use v1.50 its not connecting use the older 1.41
I have several weird issues with the 1.50

1.5 is fine, it just uses a bit more cpu to stake coins than previous build and it seems some people have had problems getting connections.  I have never had any issues with it, but I'm guessing other people may have antivirus, firewalls, or other stuff affecting it as well.

I am having issues with both. They sync fine but I have only had 4 stakes since Dec 18th. One on that day and three on Jan 1st.

I completely redownloaded 1.5 on another rig and let it resync, otok days. After it was done I copied my wallet .dat from the old computer to the second and same problem.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: neoscrypt algo for ccminer and nvidia card: call for donation on: January 12, 2015, 04:47:20 AM

Well, there is no question djm is good programmer but there are some who are better and do not charge anything like:

Quote: "Without devs like djm34, us Nvidia miners would have absolutely nothing." Not really:

http://cryptomining-blog.com/4120-updated-windows-binary-of-the-ccminer-1-5-24-git-fork-by-sp-for-maxwell/

Surprised? SP does not beg for money. And, is not obnoxious as djm34 is.

Just understand that cryptomining blog is taking sp_ work. sp_ is not posting that on that site. So no I am not surprised. You can go to his official thread and get his updates instead of second hand.

And yes I understand that sp_ and others provide miners and updates without cost but I would not expect an updated Spread for free from him at the beginning.

If you want a list of devs and what they have contributed there is an official site that has all the miners that are out.

But here is the deal not all devs are currently updating miners. Can you point to an optimized miner for Neoscrypt right now? Hint, the algo is owned by AMD right now and if djm34 did not put the time in we still will not have one.

Anyone else having issues using the http://myriad.p2pool.geek.nz/merge pool?

My miners don't show up on any of the qubit pools. My miners are showing me hashing away and when I ran the Myraid wallet for the day only getting like 0.001 Myriad Payouts and no Unitus Coins for the day. I have a total of 24 Mh/s running.

Hey genius,

Quote:
"Now, if there isn't enough people who donates, the miner will be only given to those who have pledged. "

I did pledge. Nothing was given. Period.

genius - why tanx Smiley ... hehehe ...

the PLEDGE is just that ... a pledge ... what djm does with HIS work and HIS money is HIS decision ...

these devs spend a great deal of time to do the work that they do carl ... optimizations and development take a lot of time and effort ...

if you have issues with it - leave the project - and pick up the miner when it gets to the public arena ...

you make it out as if you BOUGHT something here ... you didnt! ...

pledge - donation ... you know - all those words ...

even if djm gives 'his work' ( not so much the miner itself as its all open source anyway ) to ONE person - who is to say that person wont give it to another or another ... or make it publicly available - like one of wolf's binaries ... its unfair and i understand that he is protecting at least 'some' time for his work ...

its a small amount of money to be donating to a dev that actually HAS already contributed to the development prior to all this ...

i believe that its deservant ... and if he doesnt want to hand out the miner / code / his work ... then he doesnt have to. Yes he does.

now thats genius ... my ass

You are right kid. I just lost my money to the scammer.

I don't get too involved in other people's things but you have no idea what you are saying.

Without devs like djm34, us Nvidia miners would have absolutely nothing.

You possibly might be new to Nvidia mining or mining but you are so wrong on your comment.

Give him time. He will release it when he is ready to release it.

I like the excitement and enthusiasm of people in this thread.

On the other hand I have been in a few coins where the community got too involved and things turned south.

I say let Mr. Spread continue as is. If people really have some good ideas you should be pm'ing Mr. Spread and if at that point it is a joint agreement then let it be posted in the thread.

Only saying this because we have no idea what all the future plans to this coin is or what or who Mr. Spread might be working on/with in the background. I just don't want to see a community becoming devided because someone might have an idea that others might like or not and then it just two different sides on the coin.

Again just my opinion but this rise has been slow and steady. We only have a few more weeks until the MN implementation if all is still on course. Let's wait and see how that goes a s planned.

Speaking of the ICO, I have suspended it for now. However the fact that it is still in my hands could make people jumpy. I do not want any controversy as that would take tie from development for me to start explaining.

How would all current users of Bitcredits feel about me putting up a cheap sell wall that everyone can buy at their own convenience?

It's either that or i negotiate with Bittrex and any other exchange that lists us so that they each hold a % of the ICO until we are ready. I really don't like the stigma and burden attached to holding such a huge amount when in actual fact circulated coin is far less. It would do wonders for trust and would really take an item of my list of worries.

anytime you get a chance post your support in these threads

And in any other exchange threads you know

Why not just burn the coins and announce it in the OP. I know it sounds like a lot of coins to waste but considering the total amount it is just a drop in the bucket.

Selling the coins cheap only lowers the current price and makes people outside of the coin seem like a huge dump happened which could be very bad for the coin.

any new nodes? The new wallet has no connections.

OKay after a while i connect to 4 connections but wallet do not get pass block 16/32

Yeah, I get stuck on 16.

1) make sure you are running

}

in your conf file add

seednode =198.52.200.9

others are connecting easily enough.

My version has 70004 in it. I downloaded from the OP. It has a picture of a suited person in wallet. Wallet info says: Bitcredit Core version v0.30.05.0-g (64-bit)

I added seednode, delted all but the 2 files and redownloading.

But in roaming folder I now have two folders. One says "Bitcredit" and the other says "Bitcredits". Not sure which is the real one for my wallet .dat though. So I delted all in both folders except the config and wallet .dat.

EDIT: Just seen about the wallet version 0.30.07 Unless the wallet still has issues showing correct version. It says in OP updated 9-1-2015

760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, New Dev Needed! on: January 09, 2015, 06:06:13 AM
Good news people!

A new dev is going to work on the coin, ensure maintenance and add new features. It's not 100% official yet but should be confirmed in the coming hours/days.
Also we will be working on a new promotional plan and potentially new services.

Edit: people who promised to give some coins (I think it was about 50 million), be prepared to keep your promises!

Is one of the items updating the wallet?  I am still having issues where it will not stake.

Also is there a master list of people who pledged? I can't remember if I did or not it's been so long. I guess that is what happens when you get old.
