This guy is Anonymint v2.0.

"Hey my cryptocurrency which is coming out <insert uncertainty here> will address all these problems by <insert cloudy description here>, to give you a hint. It will also stop GPU mining entirely by <insert other bullshit here that never materializes>. The trick is <some allusion to CPU technology> which will <insert generic hype statement>. As the world's smartest man and <insert ego> I know this is possible. Have you seen how long I've been around? I've been on forums for some other shit and dick measured there for years, doing <insert glass of egojuice here>."

Sadly for Anonymint v2.0, he lacks the grammar and technical knowledge of v1.0 .

Hey, you can possibly make some coin by selling trolls this fill in the blank post.  It will save them time (and misspelling/bad grammar).  Good deal for them, I'd think!  LOL

I'm hoping this will fix it...but lets see what happens over the next few hours...it's beer o'clock.

Well, I just read this, and though 'I'll give this a try too', then looked at my miner, and it was all stuck.  So, Maybe this is just what I need right now, LOL.  Wish I had thought to note the errors, now I can't remember Tongue  I'll report back after a bit Smiley

Wow, it's doing great so far, reporting better hash/s than my miner (186 vs 224 on my pool's website)  Thanks  Cheesy

U use these for gpus right? for cpu shouldn`t work right?

correct

Miners are all still getting stuck. stop/start sgminer is the only thing that gets the work and the share rate going.

This must be having an impact on the pools?

I don't know why mine errored out when I looked at it, and I don't know if this is helping or if it's just benign, but it's still hashing away and looks good on my end.  The hash rate still looks good, though it goes up and down a bit.  I really have no idea what might be happening, but if it's only dropping in hash rate, could it be they're sensitive to the heat build up? Maybe getting a bit old?  Or have you checked to see if the fans are running?  They can die out on ya, but one wouldn't expect all of them to go out at the same time.... I really don't know!
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PRE-ANN] Munich Project - Reinventing Bitcoin - Alt-coin / Wallet / Exchange on: March 29, 2014, 10:49:45 PM
I stopped reading all the clueless replies from trolls and just wanted to tell you I just came across this thread and it's exactly what I was hoping to see in a coin for some time.

The trolls are correct, you won't make  ton of money off this one,  and that makes them think it's worthless.  But what you could make, if the coin can generate enough interest to hang on, is a decent long term investment.... maybe ... and more importantly, a real currency that can serve the population at large.

In my opinion, this is the holy grail of crypto currency.  I instantly know I'm going to support you.

Just one question, the decentralized exchange is an awesome idea that we often talk about on our Darkcoin forum.  I'm wondering if you plan on limiting this feature to the Munich project, btc and ltc, or if you'd be interested in including other coins?  I realize that could become confusing, but it would be cool if we didn't need exchanges anymore or if we could at least have a choice.  Cheesy

BTW, I totally agree with dewdeded about analyzing what went wrong with other coins, as I think you have been.  Aroura coin is a great example, as you can see, the "air drop" was off to a great start, but the hashing network was far to small to be secure (hence the many forks) and they didn't expect everyone to dump their coins at the exchanges right away (an obvious flaw in hindsight).  So at this juncture, with so many failures, you have the advantage of hindsight.  Hopefully you will gather a good following of thoughtful people here who will help you analyze and process what's gone right and what's gone wrong.

745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 29, 2014, 09:22:57 PM
damn i missed the warning. lost actually 70% of worth.

when i calculate correct. approx 1,5% of the coins where claimed per day.
this is ~157500 Coins supply from which hit at least ~31000 everyday cryptsy for sell.
so AUR will drop to zero in 90 days. maybe before the airdrop is finished.

This kind of money dirstributing does not work.
So every new coin with "airdrop" feature could be passed.

I've got to admit that this has been a very interesting experiment.  Lots of things have gone wrong, and I can only hope that those who invested could afford to lose their coin.  Yet you never know, this my not be over yet!  Will continue watching Smiley

I fell this coin is hard to mining for me Sad Sad

Really?  My hash rate goes from 700 to 1 gh/s and I'm still getting about 3/4 of a coin a day, I think.  This is a recent drop, before the difficulty was so high, more around 300-350, I was getting 1 per day, which was, what? about 75 cents a day.  Seemed rather good to me?

I'm fighting a variable share rate as the network hash rate and difficulty has gone up. not sure what is causing it. miners keep getting stuck and need restarting to start submitting work. might have to put in some que rules.

anyone know why share rate is ok on starting a miner and it falls off a cliff after about 10 - 20 minutes?

getting about 50% less than a few days ago. By the end of the year, that could be the difference between a cheap brand new Ferrari and a really expensive old classic one.

LOL

Yah, my total hash rate varies so much, I think, because I'm running a bunch of small things together. 8 cpu cores (older) and 2 GPU's  So often the miners aren't find anything, just the GPU's which find shares a little more consistently.  I'm surer there are ways to optimize things but I have no clue.

I made a post about the origins of Darkcoin, for anyone that is interested:

I've only  just started reading this, but I think it WONDERFUL that you gave us more of your background etc... in your own words.  It's really great to be able to "get to know" our developer.  I know you are busy, so thanks for doing that, and also, please get the GPU miners on the front page, LOL   Grin  Cheesy  Grin

In it there's this quote:

Milton Friedman in 1999: “The internet is going to be one of the major forces for reducing the role of government. The one thing that is missing is a reliable e-cash, a method by which on the internet you can transfer funds from A to B anonymously.”

All aboard!

Old darkcoin (xcoin) wallet won't sync? Sent my coins from it to new wallet but new wallet has not received them

1.  Make sure/ certain, you have your old wallet.dat file backed up!!!!
2.  close your NEW wallet
3.  Drop your wallet.dat from your old wallet into the new wallet's darkcoin file (in AppData/roaming/darkcoin for windows vista and 7 (and?)
4.  start the wallet application and you should see your money in there unless it somehow got sent, which I don't believe could have happened.

you defend them what does that say about you ? i bet your happy about life making such cash very money much lambo'z !!

why didn't you just post i am ugly and my mother dresses me funny ? is replying about the coins tech specs over your head son ?

Lotterymining is setting up new requirements for password strenght:

Password most be at least 7 characters long, and contain the following:

a capital letter
a number no spaces
2 elements from the periodic table
a word in latin
3 fractions
a protagonist with a character flaw, and a plot twist ending...

should make it easy to remember, yet harder to guess :-p

Spoetnik, please explain what are you trying to achieve?

From what I see, you are doing nothing but pointlessly hurting crypto.

You are acting like an arrogant, all knowing oracle, master of C++, cryptocurrency etc. trying to explain everyone else - who you deem as inferior, dumb, fan boys etc. - how all the altcoins are clones, scams etc.
If you are as good as you say you are, why not develop something or help others, rather than wasting your and others time on pointless discussion and false accusations?
Evan has done more in several months than you did and will ever do.

If you were in the car business when first mass produced car, Ford T was produced, would you bash all the cars made later as they are clearly copies, scams, pointless?
If you had a say about it back then, we would have maybe 10% of the advancement we have now.

Wake up, we are where we are because human can improve, evolve and make something better. This is exactly what is happening in the crypto currency right now.
Yes, there are scams, there are failed experiments, but there are also great improvements which will lead to better currencies.

You know what else? People and market are not as stupid as you think. Bad coins are going to die and only strong will survive.
No one needs your "wisdom" and cleanup operations.

We all know what happens when someone tries to regulate free market. And it's nothing good.

So think it over, and if you really must, bash coins which clearly deserve it.

BTW - All the altcoins are helping bitcoin. People gets interested in the cryptocurrency and bring money into it.
Through altcoins, up to date I got almost 20 people into it, who invested in both alt and bitcoin, some are mining. And guess what? They are smart enough to distinct clones and useless coins from innovative ones.

you scatter pearls before a swine, darling.  The ignore button is right below his name  Cheesy

my dark coin wallet did not sync from from my firs lanch 8 february, can enybody give me a normal
darkcoin.conf  sample for this fucking synhronization?Huh?

Wallet synchronization waiting time enough for me to go to Miami to see a ball
Really annoying

I was having a terrible time syncing with the last update too.  Since I always use beta, because I like the darksend, I downloaded it as soon as it was available, and it had no trouble syncing.

So if you don't mind using the beta, it syncs fine??

759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins To take seriously: on: March 29, 2014, 07:07:01 AM
Anyone care to expand on blackcoin and darkcoin more? I put a little into blackcoin already and also am thinking about darkcoin.

I'm impressed with blackcoin's price resiliency to the hack/stolen coins today (and the fact that hackers would think it valuable enough to steal, I suppose).

I'm interested in darkcoin's privacy aspect.

Thoughts on how serious to take these two?

I honestly don't know enough about Blackcoin, must look into it, but here is a bit of info on Darkcoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0

Darkcoin has a full time developer named Evan Duffield (eduffield) who has already put so many innovations in the coin, it's far above and beyond any other coin.

1.  new algorithm to keep ASICs at bay, X-11.  other coins have already copied this algorithm, as soon as 1 day after Darkcoin's launch!

2.  New way to calculate rewards based on difficulty, a version of Moore's law 2222222/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2)

3.  When KGW was found to have an Achilles heel with a time warp exploit, Evan came up with his own Difficulty Retargeting solution and called it Dark Gravity Wave, DGW, and it follows the difficulty changes like  glove, it's amazing.

4. And the real reason for Darkcoin's existence is DarkSend.  DarkSend is the technology behind Darkcoin's anonymous transaction features.  They are implemented inside the wallet in a decentralized, trustless solution.  We are currently in Beta 5 (actually skipped Beta 4) and it's running on the main net.  You can find the white paper at the above link.

What is really great is that Darkcoin is way undervalued still, we have no idea why?  But it's currently been slowly creeping up in value, so it's a great time to purchase Darkcoin as part of your portfolio.  We have practically no history of pumping and dumping (except for a rather long story in the beginning where someone got ahold of bitcoin that didn't belong to them on C-CEX, bought up all the Darkcoin they could with it, then transferred it to Cryptsie where they sold all the dark coin off in a huge dump.  This is where you'll see a very strange peak and valley in, I think it was, early February)

This is a serious coin, we know we have a good thing, but we have not been good at getting the word out.  I feel awkward writing all this, but I've decided that I have to do my part to spread the word.  Even a brilliant coin is nothing without a community, and we've been a quiet bunch who don't seem to want to stick our heads outside the forum just to have it chopped off by Blue Meanies! LOL.

I myself have bought a bunch of this coin about 2 weeks ago at above 0.0016 btc a couple of weeks ago, it's currently trading around 0.00142 or so, so I can tell you it's still an excellent time to invest.  DarkSend will soon be out of beta and when it is, we expect things will quickly change.

There you have it.  I only want to deliver information, maybe with a little of my own opinion.   I honestly believe in this coin, and hope I come across as a person delivering information and not hype.  If you've read this, I thank you for doing so, and hope you will join us

I forgot one fact, Evan has added over 10,000 lines of code to the 'ol bitcoin wallet/system.  When Darksend is released, it will be open source but people will not be able to easily just implement the code in their coin, it will take someone with a lot of skill to do so .

760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most anonymous coin? on: March 29, 2014, 06:56:20 AM
Darkcoin uses a hybrid conjoin and other systems to obfuscate transactions within the wallet in a decentralized solution.  They/we call it DarkSend and it's in main net Beta which is downloadable and usable right now.  It will go open source when Evan the developer feels it's finished.  he wants to make sure as much as possible that it is stable and has no bugs.  He's still expanding it.  Right now there is a limit of 10 coin transactions, probably because he just has to write in the code for higher amounts.

Anyway, there's a white paper on the first page here you can read : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0

Except for coins in the planning stages, I only know of third party trusted and centralized mixing services and any coin can use Tor.  We would love to have you come by and take a look at our coin if you're interested.  We're a nice friendly bunch of low key people.  I think you'll like it there  Cheesy
