Hey CK? is the solo pool doing ok? think maybe we need a restart? i cant seem to get above a 3 bill share and its been a few days usually now i would have gotten a 30-0 bill share "shares": 74543943647, "bestshare": 3978622537.9785938, "bestever": 41869949505
Solo pool's fine, it's only up to 73% diff this "round". Restart is bullshit. I don't help people live out their superstitions, sorry. You did something CK, What you do? Now i finally got a bestshare doubled just overnight. can you make me besthare quadruple? "shares": 75534201362, "bestshare": 6588486037.4760017, "bestever": 41869949505 LOL Just talking smack because usually after Kano reboots for an update we miracously find a Block OK, I have been sitting at 1.9 for days and now it's at 5468058367. lol LOl CK did something, he opened up the flood gates ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Or you guys finally started submitting higher diff shares.

On to something that actually matters to me...
I have a question that I'm not sure if goes here or in ckpool/proxy, but here goes:
Firstly, I'm aware that "best share" doesn't really "matter" (especially so soon after reboots); however, I despise synchronization issues.
That being said: I'm running all machines through ckproxy. I have a 28,181,771(.733868394) best share reported by the site. I have a 76,532,480 report from machine 1 I have a 42,359,439 report from machine 3 I have a 37,693,724 report from machine 8
Any idea why the mis-match?
If your "machines" are ASIC's with custom versions of CGMiner then they may have broke a portion of the code that reports the best share. That's the explanation I've seen when others have asked that anyway. Just a WAG, Sam

I have been Googling around looking at setting minimum mining difficutly on the pool. I found a quick calculation of gh/s / 1.4. For my S7's this gives me about 3400 For my S9 this gives me about 9100
snip
Does it take this setting as gospal and just feed the miner work at this difficulty level or will it increase the difficulty to compensate for shares per minute?
That just sets the base difficulty. The pool will set it higher if need be. Your base difficulty won't have any effect on your earnings, just higher variance maybe in the short run.

which wallet were you using? How easy is it for hackers to steal btc from your wallet? Can they steal even with all the verification security you have on the wallet? Makes me wonder if I should continue leaving my btc in my wallet for long periods of time. It feels like its a nightmare just waiting to happen.
Keep your Bitcoins in a wallet you have control over. NOT in an online wallet like blockchain!! And you should be fine. Unless you get some bad malware on the machine where you keep your wallet. which wallet is better than blockchain? I use the Bitcoin Core. I've never used an online wallet, and never will, like blockchain.info, so I couldn't really say if it was better, besides being secure since I control it.

I was just copying and pasting those instructions to state that I HAD indeed followed those instructions but nothing happens (either on my end or on pool)
OK, well hopefully -ck will chime in on your problem. I don't think I've seen him around in a while though. Good Luck.

So before the halving I switched my 830gh Tube miner over to CK's solo pool: Here what the site reports though;
{"hashrate1m": "745M", "hashrate5m": "4.75G", "hashrate1hr": "7.33G", "hashrate1d": "5.71G", "hashrate7d": "1.79G", "lastupdate": 1468106473, "workers": 1, "shares": 296000, "bestshare": 1547912.9142415167, "bestever": 1547912, "worker": [{"hashrate1m": "745M", "hashrate5m": "4.75G", "hashrate1hr": "7.33G", "hashrate1d": "5.71G", "hashrate7d": "1.79G", "lastupdate": 1468106473, "shares": 296000, "bestshare": 1547912.9142415167, "bestever": 1547912, "workername": "19XRsYRXZsiDEfgD6Xe9d8nso8hKwoFEbZ"}]}
Sometimes it shoots up to like 40-50g/h but nothing like what the tube is reporting on my side. Any suggestions ?
Did you connect per these instructions in the Top Post? Configuration: Asicminer tube/prisma owners need to point to a special proxy at solo.ckpool.org:3335

As to the payment method kano.is uses, that is explained by kano probably at least 100 times in this thread.
I would guess 891 times in this thread. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Why dig up such an old post? 1K = 1,000 1M = 1,000,000 1G = 1,000,000,000 1T = 1,000,000,000,000 Reference https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terabyte

It's how many cores a GPU has and clock speed.
CPU's and GPU's are no longer feasible for Bitcoin mining.

CGMIner works with WinXP. But XP has a limit to 12 or 13 USB ASIC mining devices.

Halving will take alot of people out, especially guys with old equipment and hopefully the rentals. Hehe. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) and may all pools disappear and solo mining come back. Solo mining never left.

Please fire your translator. I didn't understand even one point you are trying to make.
Sorry but I have none, and had no privilege to be educated in English. Maybe instead you make some effort as my writing can't be that bad. My point is simple: I think that most of Antpool miners are unaware of pool choice nor reason for change. Nothing to do with making a stand. I understood your original point just fine. I'm sure your English is better than me writing whatever your native language is. Maybe better than my English ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) .

I was ok with Win 8.1 until Win 10 came out. Then updates add win 10 problems and the win 10 nag malware started screwing things up.
Here's a great utility to get rid of the Win10 Nagware. GRC is a very reputable source. https://www.grc.com/never10.htm

upon opening starting Zadig to fix the drivers the miner isn't listed. Could anyone provide me with help as i have no idea what to do to fix this.
Thanks in advance
I have no idea what the U1 is listed as in Zadig. So unplug it and run Zadig to see what is listed then close it and plug your U1 back in and run Zadig again to see what is there. The new device is probably it so install the WinUSB driver for it. The CGMiner support page is here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.msg357369#msg357369

I worded that badly, I realize kano and slush are open to the public, "I currently mine kano" . I know there are private pools out there, I was wondering if they had any benefit over public pools like Kano and slush.
Private pools usually refer to pools that ASIC Miner Hardware Manufactures run with large amounts of ASIC hardware of their own. So their private pool benefits them by keeping all of the reward. An individual cannot join those private pools.
