For me everyday is international women day... But not for everyone...A gentle reminder from @SALVO_ID jersey Jakarta. An Indonesian sports apparel manufacturer apologized on Sunday after coming under attack for printing washing instructions deemed sexist on the shirt of a local top flight soccer club. “Washing Instructions. Give this jersey to your woman. IT’S HER JOB,” Salvo Sports printed on the inside of the shirt they designed for Pusamania Borneo, who begin their Indonesian Super League campaign next month. Salvo were hit with complaints on social media after posting pictures of the offending message on Twitter this week before they issued an explanation and unreserved apology on Sunday, international women’s day. “The message is simply, instead of washing it in the wrong way you might as well give it to a lady because they are more capable,” Salvo posted. “There’s no intention to humiliate women. It's a vintage plane. These things happen. He was a good enough pilot to land the thing in what was probably a very short window before disaster.
But why was he piloting a vintage plane? I doubt he cant make better with the money hes got. Maybe he overestimated his abilities, doubt he would do something like that just because he wants publicity. "an absolutely beautifully executed emergency landing by an unbelievably well-trained pilot". It seams that he picked up a thing or two from all the movies he made, nice. "After crash-landing, Ford was initially treated by doctors who happened to be at the golf course."Perks of being a movie star, you cant even crash land without help 100 feet away  cheers LOL! Doctors just HAPPENED to be there. THAT'S A GOOD ONE. I'll bet a great majority of golf course members are doctors.    |

Court OKs Barring High IQs for Cops
A man whose bid to become a police officer was rejected after he scored too high on an intelligence test has lost an appeal in his federal lawsuit against the city.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York upheld a lower court’s decision that the city did not discriminate against Robert Jordan because the same standards were applied to everyone who took the test.
“This kind of puts an official face on discrimination in America against people of a certain class,” Jordan said today from his Waterford home. “I maintain you have no more control over your basic intelligence than your eye color or your gender or anything else.”
He said he does not plan to take any further legal action.
Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, took the exam in 1996 and scored 33 points, the equivalent of an IQ of 125. But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.
Most Cops Just Above Normal The average score nationally for police officers is 21 to 22, the equivalent of an IQ of 104, or just a little above average.
Jordan alleged his rejection from the police force was discrimination. He sued the city, saying his civil rights were violated because he was denied equal protection under the law.
But the U.S. District Court found that New London had “shown a rational basis for the policy.” In a ruling dated Aug. 23, the 2nd Circuit agreed. The court said the policy might be unwise but was a rational way to reduce job turnover.
Jordan has worked as a prison guard since he took the test.
Story is from the year 2000, but tells of a really depressing mindset by police forces. Indeed. They just want dogs or robots (or dogbots) that obey orders. Intelligent people may question those orders or even feel compelled to testify against the brotherhood at times.  |

I think the cops are sick of people who are doing criminal or suspicous things getting pissed that the cops are in their face. People can be very self centered. If you're being a shady character you should expect the heat to follow.
Lol, Thanks. This is actually about innocent bystanders getting hit by stray bullets, not about dangerous suspects getting shot for endangering peoples' lives. What's even worse, if the cops were shooting at you, then you could also be charged for wounding or killing them. But the Deputy Commissioner doesn’t seem to be helping things for the infamously militarized police department that former Mayor Bloomberg rightly termed a “private army.”
Recently, Tumin gave the world a glimpse into the warped psyche of police brutality. He tweeted that innocent people shot by cops have “gone off their meds” and are “walking into police bullets.” Perhaps the cops see us as zombies that need to be put down.  Of course, I'm just kidding (or am I), but it does kind of sound like it, doesn't it?

The Walking Dead is still a favourite.
There was another one that seemed low budget, but it was still loads of fun. Z-Nation. It seems like crap, but it was loads of fun. Definitely recommended.
I think Better Call Saul has the potential to be even better than Breaking Bad. One season of Walking Dead was enough for me, then I was bored of it. I really enjoyed "IT Crowd"
