741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Are you in profit? on: November 19, 2023, 03:28:05 PM
When people first start gambling, they get caught up dreaming about scoring it big.  But let's be real - the casinos and bookies are the ones who end up benefiting in the end.  Most of the time when people lose, they try to forget about it and only focus on those rare wins that keep them hooked and  we've all been there before, chasing those wins.  Everyone's got their own tale when it comes to gambling.

I've been gambling for a while now, longer than I'd probably like to confess.  It's been several years since I tried betting with bitcoin, so even if I broke even, which I doubt, Id still be down in dollars.
742  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Huge Amount of BTC on: November 18, 2023, 01:44:48 PM
If you think your bitcoin is dirty and you wish to clean it, you can use a mixer.

That is not correct! Mixing services don't magically clean your coins; they merely obfuscate their origins, which could raise even more red flags with certain services. By using the mixer, you exchange your coins with someone else's, which can be equally or even more "tainted." This is precisely why the whole idea of "dirty" coins is pointless.

Why was the niggy nuked. Plagerism or spamming, maybe I would want to know

My guess is - ban evasion:

<snip>

Well, this whole thing sucks.  While their last forum activity was on November 12,  it's unclear if they even saw your first message. However, I think it is important to point out that they seem unresponsive across all communication channels. I mean, we have no clue what's actually going on there.

Unfortunately, we can't really do anything else right now. Obviously, the best thing is to caution community and to let everyone know what's happening so they're careful if they use their services until we hear something from their side!

Hopefully CryptoMixer will get back to us soon so we can get this fixed.

Oh buddy, it took you so long to post this thread because you have created your account in 2018 and you have posted this thread in final quarter of 2023. Why you are still a newbie even after knowing about this forum since 2018?

"Buddy" is already gone. Won't be coming back. At least, not with this account.  Wink

Good thing you corrected the copyrights, because I wanted to say what an irony to tag people for plagiarizing other projects but doing it yourself.😉

Agreed.

Let me share some shilling tricks :

"WOW, guys I was just on the phone with Elon, he said to thank mycoin fans and tell them; hell mars we are coming"!

Huh, considering how many Elons there are out there, so who knows, right? You might actually be telling the truth.  Wink

Over my time on this forum, I've witnessed enough to confidently vouch for the trustworthiness of both icopress and LoyceV in this matter. I trust their judgment and their assurance that they've verified the signed messages validating the [banned mixer] reserve funds.
749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Huge Amount of BTC on: November 17, 2023, 10:12:53 AM
Just want to how one goes about selling huge about of BTC, I'm talking like 200BTC for a 6/3 discount. Any help or advice will help me out for sure , looking for buyers preferably private buyers that are ready to buy, let me know what you guys think

So if I understand correctly what you're asking - you want tips on the best way to sell off your stash of 200 bitcoins you've got, right? You're even willing to offer a discount to move them quick.  I seriously doubt you actually have that much BTC.  But hey, on the off chance you do probably the first thing I'd try is making a post over on the Currency exchange board in the marketplace section here.  Could find somebody interested in doing an in-person swap for cash depending where you're located.  I'd say split it up into smaller chunks too when selling, instead of trying to unload it all at once.  And be extra careful avoiding scammers attracted to a big score like that and  maybe even consider using an escrow service to make sure you actually get paid if dealing with an online buyer.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount of bitcoin or satoshi should hold for poor? on: November 17, 2023, 08:44:38 AM
The amount of bitcoin someone should hold isn't just about how much money they got.  It's a personal choice based on what you want and  there's no magic number of Bitcoins that's right for everyone.  It depends on your own situation and your goals.

Instead of worrying about how many bitcoins to have, maybe think about other ways to improve your financial situation overall.  What good is stacking satoshis if you're so broke you can't pay the bills or eat?

Bitcoin isn't some cure-all that works for everybody.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: November 17, 2023, 08:33:35 AM
Addiction's no joke, wheather it's drugs or gambling. Both mean you just can't stop, no matter how bad you wanna.  With drugs, getting hooked is part physical - your body needs that fix.  Gambling's different cuz it's all in your head. The main thing is, addicts are always chasing after that high or rush they get from their habit, whether its drugs gambling, or something else.

<...>
I was so scared with this story and It affected me for a while, I stopped gambling for a week because of what I heard from this man, his appearance is that of someone you won't want to listen to but what he went through is so eye opening that if other addicted gamblers hear from him it could change them, gambling addiction is really scary.

That's some made-up, bullshit story. I once knew a guy who also liked to create such tales for no particular reason. Probably thought it made him look cool in social scenes or whatever. People are weird!
752  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: November 17, 2023, 07:54:13 AM
Thank you, @Rikafip, for another comprehensive monthly statistics report. I don't want to nitpick, but I think you're missing the "Merit senders and receivers" chart. You posted the "Merit/Post ratio" chart twice.

(Looks like I'm the only one actually looking at that data  Smiley)

755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Share Your Suggestions About Security For Bitcoin Wallet Android Users on: November 16, 2023, 11:33:12 AM
From my experience, using open-source wallet apps from verified sources is a good way to stay safe. Stick to well-known and reputable wallet providers to minimize this risk. Also, keeping your Android and everything on it updated helps prevent potential vulnerabilities.

But above all, ensure your wallet usage aligns with the security risk it inherently carries. These mobile wallets, or hot wallets as we call them, are made for everyday use - for making frequent payments and transactions. So it's best not to rely solely on your mobile wallet or use it for long-term storage. If you wanna keep your coins secure for a good while, go with a cold wallet instead.
756  Economy / Lending / Re: Help !! on: November 16, 2023, 10:57:45 AM
Okay, first things first. Your request for a loan makes no sense. Can you explain how resolving some tax problem means you need to take out a Bitcoin loan? I'm not quite following the logic there.

Also, just being real with you - asking for a no-collateral loan as a new member here is a tough sell. Maybe just take some time to build up your reputation around here first before pursuing the loan idea.
757  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - service for anonymization of crypto transactions | Bitcoin mixer on: November 16, 2023, 09:13:08 AM
We kindly ask the following users to correct their early comments/notes in view of the current state of the service: @FatFork

After looking over what I said earlier about your service, I don't see anything I should correct and  what I wrote fits with how your mixing service worked at that time.

Your service had some real issues that needed fixing.  But hey, at least you're admitting now that you messed up and accepting well-intentioned criticism. Better late than never, right? It's good that you want to improve things moving forward.  I respect that.

I don't think now's a good time to evaluate your mixing service considering the issues with Bitcoin network congestion lately.  But maybe you could organize some kind of contest or campaign to get people on this forum to test out and review your service? Get a handful of members to try it out and give feedback and  that might help generate some buzz.

<cut>

You are completely delusional and not educated on anything that remotely concerns cryptocurrency.

I'm not sure we should have high hopes for someone who can't tell the difference from the mega.nz GUI interface and the desktop version of the Eloncoin wallet.  It makes me wonder if lightlord truly believe this kind of promotion is beneficial for his coin.  Cheesy

How TF you got more than 10 merits is beyond me.

What's even worse, he gets paid for shitposts like this!
760  Other / Meta / Re: What's AI Written Post? on: November 14, 2023, 11:37:41 AM

One day it will lead you to a ban or getting a tag. Your other post is 100% detected by all detectors as AI generated...

I haven't seen the whole story, but it looks like you're right. The account is already blocked.
Another strange thing is that sometimes on the topic of the use of AI, we provide accurate data that accounts use AI,, but their posts are never deleted. However, if you look at your merit received today, the administrator is also against the AI. That is, we can conclude that it is forbidden to create posts using a robot, but as always, what happens with plagiarism, moderators make different decisions.

The account got banned (nuked) because everything he wrote up to that point seemed to be made by AI.  So it was pretty obvious to the mods that he only set up the account to spam junk: https://ninjastic.space/search?author=NelonExer

But it's not always so cut and dried and sometimes it's probably tricky to judge if something is fully AI-generated or just uses AI tools like machine translation or spellcheck and grammar fixes.
