741  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2016, 07:49:06 PM
I don't know, I have a few bitcoins and I will hold on to them. I can't give a definite value or speculate. But 50 Bitcoins is very doable and 100 is in range. It really depends on how quickly you want to acquire them and then sell them. But for this value, the cost of living of living must be cheap or the individual is older..?
These are just assumptions, it just doesn't seem like such as large value.

As I ve said, he lives in a third world county. Some of those places, the average wage s $100. Imagine what u can do with $500k.

wonder how he expects to accumulate 100btc unless the price crashes since he only earns $100 though?
742  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: January 09, 2016, 07:43:56 PM
probably because when you get paid unlike a cheque it wont bounce as its irrevocable
743  Other / Meta / Re: Publish how many accounts you have: could be a good idea? on: January 09, 2016, 07:38:38 PM
What business is it of anyone how many accounts someone else has?people need to grow up and take responsibility for making sure they don't get scammed by using an escrow etc instead of forcing rules and regulations down on everyone.There are scammers everywhere not just here.I've been scammed once or twice myself due to my own stupidity.
744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i Mine with a dual core CPU? on: January 09, 2016, 04:31:32 PM
XBC is a good POS coin to mine.If you get a few from poloniex because they are dirt cheap now you can have them staking in 24 hours.XBC has been around a long time and are looking at doing a mobile staking wallet in the near future also so you can mine/stake coins using your smartphone.The wallet also acts as a p2p messaging service.Difficulty is very low at the moment.
745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i Mine with a dual core CPU? on: January 09, 2016, 11:18:10 AM
mine an alt with low diff that has some decent price and volume so maybe check coinwarz to see whats the best one

747  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your gambling stategy? Are you risky, or do you prefer slow? on: January 08, 2016, 11:43:44 AM
sometimes I try to bet small amounts in as many different games as possible to see if I can accumulate a larger amount and am happy enough if I make some profit  but other days I go all in like an ape jumping off a tree

Sneak Peek at Bitcoin's upcoming killer app - Open Bazaar

Many Bitcoin developers and investors, including some the most powerful Venture Capitalists of our day, have stated that Bitcoin's long-awaited "killer app" could be a decentralized marketplace that uses Bitcoin.

Open Bazaar may well be that marketplace, a peer to peer network that isn't controlled by any company or organization. Instead of visiting a website, you download and install a program on your computer that directly connects you to other people looking to buy and sell goods and services, and the only payment option is bitcoin. Earlier this year Union Square Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz gave the Open Bazaar developers US$1 million in funding.

751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: January 07, 2016, 03:40:04 PM
The main advantage to the casino is that the house always wins in the end because they probably have spreads and algos that ensure that they never make a loss.There would also be players who gamble big and often and dont mind losing so the odds are that someday one person could lose a huge amount on their casino in one go.

The only main advantage to the gambler is the probability of winning something of course
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin After Death - The Will... on: January 07, 2016, 03:33:07 PM
What happens if i amass a fortune in bitcoins and i die. Who will guarantee my fortune is divided among those in my Will?

Who would you trust with your private keys?

Keep the private key in a bank vault with permission for the administrator of your will access to it if you kick the bucket I suppose
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 07, 2016, 03:26:03 PM
Gambling like anything else is wrong only when it becomes an addiction.Then it becomes destructive especially when it has a negative impact on those around you with the inevitable mood swings after taking a heavy hit at the casino and the occasional sale of the furniture or wifes jewellery to keep the loanshark off your back etc etc
754  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Gambling Site to Invest In on: January 07, 2016, 03:07:46 PM
I can only refer you to my signature because not only has it gambling but you can do options trading there too to increase the odds with some form of calculated risk.Good server speeds and decent customer service.Also feel free to join the sig campaign too and earn a little for your posts.

I am only getting 1 connection.Is that normal?

Do you have .conf installed in your executables with nodes added?The nodes are listed on the OP

xbcplus.conf(After wallet download please create xbcplus.conf bitcoinplus.conf(Open notepad, and copy/paste the nodes below, and save as xbcplus.conf. Then, if using Windows, save the the file in the "c:\users\"yourusername"\appdata\roaming\xbcplusbitcoinplus" folder.  Keep in mind that this is a hidden folder by default.)

addnode=23.254.166.180
addnode=23.254.132.157
addnode=167.114.152.26
addnode=167.114.155.195

I have this done but no connection too?

apologies ..make sure the name is bitcoinplus.conf
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XBC [Official Thread] BitcoinPlus Anonymous encrypted transactions & messaging on: January 07, 2016, 11:47:45 AM
poker? black jack?

why not?there are loads of bitcoin casinos out there making the moolah.You could have one set up and running for little over 1btc and community members could promote it and funds raised could go towards further development and the setting up of more ideas.Price is shyte and nobody is trading so we need to get our heads out of our asses and face reality.XBC should have no problem returning to .005 at the very lowest and then upwards once a plan is devised and implemented.Then people will be more confident to get in at higher prices once support is set at a higher level.Currently the price does not match supply as it should be much higher to make it viable as a currency that can be actually used and correct me if I am wrong but is that not the whole point of a currency?To actually buy and sell stuff?
757  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: January 07, 2016, 11:41:46 AM
It keeps inflation in check and slows the rate of growth but provides less incentive to mine so investors,traders and the like might see it as positive while some miners may have a more negative opinion
758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i Mine with a dual core CPU? on: January 07, 2016, 11:33:28 AM
You probably wouldnt break even unless you have free electricity but you might be able to make something from one of the altcoins or on something just announced that may hit an exchange
