741  Economy / Economics / Re: When I started driving. on: July 04, 2022, 10:16:10 PM
Happy 80 years, I wish you long life and good health.
I was surprised that one of the forum members has such a long life. Sure, you have great experience and experienced many economic crises. Perhaps the high prices of gasoline are the result of the global energy crisis, especially in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, but it is certain that it is an indication of inflation as well. The rise in fuel prices leads to high prices Almost every other product, because any commodity needs to be moved from one place to another and when the price of gasoline rises, this will certainly lead to a rise in these goods that are being moved, so it is a good indication of the inflation going on.
Happy 80th birthday boss. That is correct that people in this forum have seen good golden days - when money was valuable - today no amount of money is enough.
We see protests going on in every country. People are raising voices against inflation - high petrol prices and increase taxes. The survival can be only achieved through financial freedom.
742  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: July 04, 2022, 10:11:49 PM

I know plenty of people who are buying millions of dollars worth of bitcoin right now, all because they know that even if it is just a 5% return, that is a ton of money and could be made in a few days, by next week. If you make moves based on your smaller amount, saying 1000 dollars investment doesn't worth the 5% return, then you will not make money like they do.
Who are these rich people - in our country people don't have money to buy food. The inflation in my country has reached to 25% and the official says it will reach to 30% or more. The petrol prices are at the hike. There is nothing in control - although everyone needs financial freedom but now it is very difficult. This is very tough time.
743  Economy / Economics / Re: How would a global economic recession affect Bitcoin's price? on: July 04, 2022, 10:07:58 PM
I think "pretty well" understanding for dollar is not the same with you and me. I mean just because that money is in the banks for the high interest rates doesn't mean that it is a good thing. Think about it, a  lot of money is in interest, that means a lot of interest will be needed to be paid, and since recession the return will be very little and banks may fail to pay that back, at least not that high interest rates.

This will result with you getting to a point where it is not going to be a simple thing. Just wait for it, do not get hyped about it, and you could definitely reach to a point where things will be a lot better in the long run but right now dollar is horrible.
This is true, and I believe that it took USA about 150 years or more to reach the first 7 trillion printed if I remember it correctly, probably even more, then took them about 3-4 years to print the next 7 trillion dollars. That should be easy enough to see what US dollar means.

There isn't anything that could be considered at a good rate in the end. Which would be a deal where it could take a good amount of time to reach this place, but then it took very quick to repeat it. This is why I hope that the best thing would be slowing that down, because if they keep on printing like that again, then it would be super horrible and it would lose even more value.
The market is so unpredictable - we have not even in our wildest dream have thought that the whole world will be shut down in Covid and so much losses to businesses will happen in a jiffy. After I have seen that horrible COVID battle I have lost most of my interests in the materials. And also I dont make much plans because during last 2 years none worked out well.
744  Other / Off-topic / Re: I think google is spying on us ,when our phones are in the room on: July 04, 2022, 10:03:21 PM
I think we are almost all aware that state-sponsored survaillance is ongoing for ages. I watched a small clip (not sure it was only click bait or true) where Edward Snowden says that he removes the microphones of his phones (and probably cameras too) so that his conversations cannot be recorded/spied on. While searching for this clip I also found this interesting documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaUemcqIQ-k.

There are alliances world wide taking care of all the survaillance our states need, like PRISM, 5 EYES and others.
Check this for example:

https://nordvpn.com/blog/five-eyes-alliance/

and this one too

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes

One other on PRISM
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRISM

And finally this one should give us a general overview about the stage we are at on Global Survaillance.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_surveillance

Damn scary, to be honest!
The last link you have mentioned talks about Snowden. If you happen to watch Snowden than surly you will be able to realize how much we are exposed to the agencies and surveillance authorities. That is how the spy work - they are smarter than we even think. But of course there is no stopping to it. We have exposed ourselves to them by bringing in smart these devices.
745  Economy / Economics / Re: Uganda’s gold discovery: What it could mean for crypto !!! on: July 04, 2022, 09:59:04 PM
I don't think an inflation in gold supply can happen like that just because a new huge mine was found! After all, the ratio of new gold entering circulation is quite low and that's one of the reasons gold can keep volatility under (relative) control!

Despite the fact that usually market defines the flow of things in this regard, meaning that when demand greatly increases, man will find a way of increasing prouction/extraction/manufacturing to satisfy the demand, but in the case of gold, I think that can take consierably more time than we think, so I don't expect that the ration of new gold vs gold in circulation can raise so that price can change by that much.
Gold is expensive. And the discovery of gold can bring in very good opportunities for the government and the people of Uganda.
But as stated above - like the oil producing countries are always in trouble due to invaders I hope Uganda survive this international conspiracy.
746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian aggression against Ukraine. The world will no longer be the same. on: July 04, 2022, 09:54:52 PM

Yeah, definitely retained "hard control"! Smiley
She got hit in the face by the Kadvrotians, knelt down and dutifully paid tribute to Kadyrov and his monkeys.
In Ukraine, it receives a snout every day, the Russian army has shown itself to be a bunch of marauders, thieves and criminals, and soon the moment when it will be destroyed. After that, Russia and all Russians will pay reparations to Ukraine for decades, most likely to other countries where their brown boot of rashism has stepped .
Perfect control! Smiley
I have heard from a Ukrainian friend that almost all the women have migrated to other parts of the world but the men are staying behind to help the soldiers.
Russians on the other hand are stealing their food and pans so the survivors die of hunger. We are not yet out of COVID war and this war again has shattered the world.
747  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: July 04, 2022, 09:48:41 PM
All phases in life indeed and not only limited on gambling but also in other aspects where failures do make out that learning so that you would really be making yourself more better compared back into the past or when you are just starting on what you are engaging on.Not all would really be having that kind of mindset since they do directly quit when experiencing unfortunate events but this isnt something that should
really make yourself to do so because its part of the learning process.

You do win or make profits but mistakes and errors is something that cant really be removed or avoid on thats why always presume about those probabilities or chances because
it cant really be that simple on dealing specially if it do touches on investing and specially with gambling which we know that winning is really in lowest chance or odds specially for
long term aspect.
Very nicely stated. We are always learning - at every step of our life. I know a person who is 82 years old. And he mentions - that he still makes mistake - God know when he will learn not to be fooled by other. Every time we meet a different juggler in our lives - in professional and personal life both. The only thing we can do is not to trust anyone blindly.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 04, 2022, 09:39:33 PM
India Women vs Sri Lanka Women

The Sri Lankan women's team is now playing their second ODI against the Indian women's team. Sri Lanka lost all their wickets for just 171 runs in the first match. In the second match too, the performance of the Sri Lankan batsmen did not improve. They lost all their wickets in just 173 runs. At the end of 14 overs, the Indian women's team collected 80 runs. They did not lose any wickets. India will easily win this match too.
India won the match between Sri Lanka Women and India Women. It is easy to say that they have won without any kind of Adverse conditions. Sri Lanka's run-scoring total was 173 in 50 overs while India finished the game in 25 overs. No Sri Lankan batsman was able to score 50 runs. Where India Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana has won the match without losing any wicket. This is really a good cricket form India Women.
As mentioned above - Sri lanka lost all the matches when they toured Pakistan and now again they are losing against India.
Sri Lanka is going through political and economic turmoil - winning matches can bring to the nation a joy which are longing. Hope Sri Lanka will strike back soon.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 03, 2022, 09:58:47 PM
I have the same opinion. Bilateral series is only for hardcore fans. People like me prefer either ICC tournaments, or triangular/quadrangular series involving multiple teams, but these type of tournaments are no longer being organized by the cricket boards. In fact, I forget when for the last time I heard about a triangular series. Previously such tournaments used to be hosted by cities such as Sharjah, Singapore and Toronto. But everything came to a halt because of the packed international calendar.
Right now it's all revoling around money rich IPL. BCCI from next year want 2.5 or 3 months for IPL. Sharjah was hub of tri series with Pakistan and India as mandatory participants. There are two worldcups now for ODI and T20I. So under such circumstances there won't be any tri series.
Now IPL factor going to have big impact on cricket because we are already having too many troubles so if ICC allow them for their required window this could be more issue with just few boards are going to have benefit and many others are going to suffer they could be not able to have International tours or anything related to cricket which can hurt their financial and most chances no one going to against them because all have their own interests.

ICC was never neutral for all boards but now having another conflict of power which can create bad things if they are going to allow IPL special window then surely someone else will also try to have something for himself because it's all about equal rights let's watch what happen in coming days because now cricket future is looking not good day by day.
Looking from the other perspective - as an outsider. IPL lost its charm this time. It was too long so many teams in the tournament - too many matches and it was hard to keep track of which team is playing against which team .. I started tracking IPL when it reached quarter final...
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 03, 2022, 09:40:04 PM
I think most of the time it'll be down to the potential documents can be misused or could be stolen if not secured well - if you can do kyc in some places by just confirming your address why can't online casinos do the same.

Exactly! OP missed the point. Identity is a personal thing and you don't go around town waving a card with your name and address on it, right? When you meet someone new, you use your first name and that's all. You don't give them your full name, age and address right away, unless it's a business meeting and you know that sooner or later they'll get to know it anyway.
I don't feel like a random company that isn't sending me any packages or doing any business deals with me has to know my name and address. Who knows what they can do with it?
Many players want to hide their identity and they have their own reasons. Staying low key is one of the best practice one can adopt.
And those who don't want to share their KYC -- I think some of the casinos are fine with it too. If there are Casinos policies -- so are people's privacy.
751  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: July 03, 2022, 08:54:02 PM
What the author of the topic described is not something unique or surprising. Let's be honest - which of you started working with crypto in 2017, had a financial education, studied financial and investment management? Personally, I had a basic institute courses in economics, and separate courses in entrepreneurship. I can’t say that I had the same result as the author, rather, on the contrary, I earned well, but ... I didn’t manage to fix everything and turn it into liquid things. I only managed to buy ... what I planned to buy for the last 2-3 years, and set aside a certain amount as a "financial pillow". It took about 50% of what I earned in 2017. And the second 50% of what we managed to earn eventually turned into ... about 5% -10% Smiley
No, this is also money, but - not received or, more correctly, profit that was not fixed IN TIME, turned out to be quite significant. This was an excellent lesson, and prompted to study more deeply similar assets, the investment market and speculation. Once again I was convinced that a negative experience is the most useful and memorable! Smiley
I recommend everyone to study the subject matter, read specialized materials, communicate on topics of interest, and constantly develop. This will be the key to a secure and quality life not only for you, but also for your families.
Life is a real challenge - every day you learn new thing and then you make promises that you will not make those mistakes in your life ever again and then you do the same mistakes again. I am not very strict with my rules.... and I keep on making mistakes all the time - learning and learning through out my life and not getting the lessons.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 03, 2022, 08:47:26 PM
However for those which are only interested in gambling in general and that are using cryptocurrencies because they want to gain some privacy back, then a drop in the market can be very difficult to accept, as even if they had a good session and earned money it is entirely possible they lost some money when it comes to the fiat value of their coins.
It will be a big issue if this kind of gambler is surprised by a sudden fall in bitcoin price, which can happen in few minutes without previous warnings or signals, preventing us from preparing ourselves for this moment and avoiding a gambling session during a high volatile market. Then I fear there is nothing they can do besides cashing out their money with relative losses or waiting until bitcoin recovers, what can take several months or few years yet.

Another option is to gamble with stablecoins or altcoins which present less volatility in price. This way, it can be an opportunity to grow your bitcoin holdings after a gambling session, because when btc loses value, you will be able to swap more coins of another kind to bitcoin after the crash.
gambling is an addiction and the gamblor have to play no matter what.. the rise and the fall is definitely an issue in gambling.
For those who are high roller and plays big bets of course the dip is a real issue.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 26, 2022, 07:25:47 PM

Putting money in gambling is a stupid thing because gambling is lucky there is no definite win because we don't know so it's not necessary like if you want to be big and obviously greed will plunge them into losing everything and mentally will be damaged too.
Playing gambling must be natural, it should not be excessive, and be ready to take responsibility when you lose or get hit by another mentality because this is a risk that must be faced, at least playing gambling for fun as many say, no need to want to win big because luck does not come next.
But control is what must be done, in every gambling game.
I agree with the same - investing money in gambling is not a good thing. There are so many other options.
Because you never know if you're going to win or loose that is purely a luck game. Not to be trusted.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 26, 2022, 07:21:32 PM
Personally , I never hided the fact that I use to gamble from time to time, makes it fun but never crossed the line or placed big bets so I can speak free when it comes to gamble but this is just my point of view and how I do gamble, but to trust a company savings to a gambler hahaha ...no way.

A company should have self respect and always investigate that person who is having access to cash or value assets and as far as I know , the big companies will backtrace your life before you get into a position like that.

If the business processes in the company are properly debugged, then the employee simply does not have a chance to steal funds regularly and without consequences, therefore, in my opinion, in such cases it is possible to hire gamblers and drug addicts and other categories of employees who are rated as risky. The problem that is raised in the first post is trust between friends - if you trust a friend so much that you don't control him if he is your employee then be prepared for the fact that he will deceive you.
I would not trust anyone with bad finances.
If you want to test a person - see how he deals in the finances. If the person is not good in dealing with finances - this means he is not trustworthy.
755  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 26, 2022, 07:03:32 PM

There comes learning after every failure in the cryptocurrency world. We can't get the result that we want here unless we'll deal with the market situation. The best thing that we can do is to accept losses and take lessons from them. Sometimes we only have to have the right mindset that crypto investment isn't a shortcut to success. It's a long journey that is full of lessons until we'll have the knowledge and courage to deal with every market situation.
sometime a few things are worth not giving time and energy. Its better to learn from other people mistakes and do not indulge in those activities which are worth not your time and energy. better safe than sorry!
756  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 25, 2022, 08:08:40 PM
Win or learn of course depends on the situation, if we plan to buy or invest bitcoin then now is a good time we can buy bitcoin at a price 1/3 cheaper than the end of 2021, when the market is rising I often hear people will buy bitcoin if the price drops And now is the time, don't wait any longer.
That is what the life is all about. Sometimes amit a depressed situation you find a hope and happiness and your life turns upside down.
While on the other side. Sometime amid happy situation you are trapped in the sorrow. Life is so unpredictable, be generous!
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 25, 2022, 08:02:56 PM

I once had a friend who started playing slots And he visibly degraded... He had the look of a crazy person, he had a lot of debts... His social circle also changed, especially when casinos became illegal in my country... Anyway, we stopped communicating with him and he didn't pay me back, it's been more than 10 years... So I think any kind of addiction affects the psyche...
That is strange - did you not reach out to your friend to know in what condition he is.
Maybe he needs help. But Gambling is a trouble for those who often loose. And a blessing for those who are winner. So in both the case one should not lose the control on oneself.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 25, 2022, 07:52:04 PM

That's right mate greed is not only in game also in investing coins because if the temptation is there greediness is there also. That's why other investor loss thier coin because of greediness when the price is go down then they sell it without knowing that the price will go up soon. But before playing in gambling we must think that there's reassurance that we will win inn short let's bet on how much we can afford to lose.
Different people have different ideas/ and situation when it comes to gambling. Many people who play safe with small capital are smart players.
However those who risk big capital and loose are actually the real losers. I every game of life one should play smart. Be it gambling or life challanges.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 25, 2022, 07:48:00 PM

Maybe altcoins will also go down, and that is our chance to buy altcoins that can exceed the minimum deposit at the casino. But the minimum deposit amount for altcoins in the casino won't change so that's our advantage. But if you prefer stable coins, you can use them instead of altcoins.

snip
Altcoins are sure to drop downwards following bitcoin and will stay there. To use ethereum, we also need to see how much the gas costs before making a transaction. I don't think this is a good time to use BTC for gambling because there is no guarantee that you can win a lot of money from gambling.
Such an unpredictable market it is - not very sure what is going on around the coins.
Reading all the comment give an idea but what if the something other than this happen.
Very confused situation what to do and what not to ..
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 24, 2022, 09:08:52 PM
Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard?

I doubt about that fact. From what i remember since 2015, pumps/dumps didn't affect casino activity too much. For many people it doesn't matter at all. Maybe now it's even better time for crypto gamblers, because deposit and withdrawal fees are much lower so you can deposit small amounts if you don't play big bets.
I think it doesn't have much effect now. There are more easier way for the translations.
There are technologies and innovations coming up. Which has made the life of the people/gamblor easier.
