741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost of my capital has made me to have a change of mind about Bitcoin . on: November 03, 2023, 09:48:21 PM
However, my question here is ' what is the best strategy to trade without losing my initial capital ?.

The nature of cryptocurrency day trading is losses and profits. You cannot do without loses, no matter how knowledgeable you are in trading. What really happens is that, good traders will always have to get more wins than losses on the long run. So, for you not to lose your capital is that you must device a strategy that works for you and stick to that strategy. This doesn't happen instantly, the losses you are having is accumulation of knowledge, you have to build on that to become a successful trader.

But then, avoid lossing money unnecessary. That is where the problem lies. If you lose money out of your careless and continue to lose and call it part of the process, you will not be profitable on the long run.
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 09:27:16 PM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.

The bitcoin we have now does really require advertisement as the wave and news of bitcoin is all over the world. What bitcoin needs to keep moving high is increment in price and events such as halving and its accompanied bull run.

When bull run begins, you will begin hear and read all over the internet how bitcoin price will be flying and this will attract many new investors to bitcoin and by this bitcoin adoption will be expanding.

However, I believe that Satoshi did carry out some advertisements in the early days of bitcoin. I think in this forum through bounty. That really helped bitcoin popularity.
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of another bitcoin hardfork. on: November 03, 2023, 09:13:23 PM
It's impossible to control the Bitcoin network at all. BlackRock buying mining companies shares doesn't mean they want to gain access to the network. They can't change anything, and they can't make any harmful decisions. And forking Bitcoin means nothing. They can't gain anything by forking the Bitcoin blockchain. It will just create a new altcoin. And still, Bitcoin will be uncontrollable under any conditions. If BlackRock is a US secret mission to control Bitcoin, then they are wrong.

It is not totally impossible to control the bitcoin network, just that it is extremely difficult to control the network. It will definitely cost more than you will gain to control the network.

Talking about BlackRock and the purported hidden agenda to control the bitcoin network. I haven't sense any conspiracy and involvement of the US government. Although, anything is possible.

Talking about another hardfork. It is not totally out of point to envisage anothe hardfork, it will definitely happen sooner or later. But as you said, the resultant coin will be an altcoin just like the bitcoin BSV
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather make your investments in FAIT or CRYPTO? on: November 03, 2023, 08:46:53 PM
The crypto market has an high level of volatility, anyone who is about to make an investment need to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is even with the volatility will you still choose crypto over fiat when it comes to making investments?

There are so many factors to consider such as;
Is the fiat of your country strong like the US dollar, pounds and Euros or is it like the Nigerian naira which is more volitile than bitcoin. If your country's fiat is strong, there is nothing wrong to make your investments using fiat.
Note: That if you keep your money in fiat, you are just saving money. I do not understand what you meant by fiat investment. I take it to be like doing business with fiat

In the other hand, if your country's currency is weak, you may consider to base all your investment in cryptocurrency. But you need to know your technicals so that the market will not dump on you frequently.

since this is a bitcoin discussion board then from crypto change it to Bitcoin or move it to another thread.

Where is it written that when crypto is used, it is not talking about bitcoin? The world cryptocurrency is a general word for both bitcoin and altcoins. So there is no problems anywhere.

I checked my profile and discovered that I can be a legendary member even today if there is a push. I then remembered Ratimov and his helping threads. I decided to check for it, and I am happy it is still active. It used to be 2 in the beginners and help, but I found this.
Thanks for the continuous good work.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't Fiat the Real Ponzi on: October 31, 2023, 03:36:15 PM
Ponzi is not the right word to apply to fiat, indeed fiat will always experience a decrease in value but that is because of inflation and we will not be able to fight inflation by saving as much fiat as possible because no matter how much money you have in the next year or in other future years its value will keeps going down, so that you don't get stressed and end up saying that fiat is a Ponzi, then start by investing in the type of investment that can give you a better life in the future even though inflation continues to rise in your country.
The writer does not literally mean that fiat is a Ponzi scheme, rather he meant that fiat posseses an attribute of a Ponzi scheme which is its ability to make you lose money. Or its tendency to reward early commerce at the expense of late commers. When you look at this more carefully it is correct.

What the holders of fiat currency were able to buy 10 years ago, the holders of the same amount of fiat will not be able to buy those things now. Inflation has grown to a very large extent and to finally justify the Ponzi mantra, the government will keep printing more fiat into the system.
747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Imagine life if there was know bitcointalk like this forum on: October 31, 2023, 03:13:12 PM
Actually I can't help but wonder how crypto awareness would have spread if there was no forum like this, though I have not really gain anything financially from this forum yet but the level of crypto knowledge that has been impacting on me on a daily basis is actually helpful, I came to this forum with no idea about crypto and how it works but now I was able to read and learn from this forum and through the experience people in this forum I was able to learn many things, so I always see this forum as a place of learning as such the forum impact you the knowledge to navigate other ways that will help you earn a living through the internet.

The forum is basically like the other forum, keep helping each other with their concerns, giving and sharing their knowledge. People nowadays see this forum as a source of income because they see a potential way of earning like the signature campaigns, we cannot deny tons of newbies coming here and trying to get merit in different ways just to participate in different campaigns and events. But if you see the forum in an efficient way theres a lot of information you can use with your journey you want too, people are now stingy with the information.
This forum is basically like other forums but there are things that set this forum aside from others. This forum actually stands out as long as the cryptocurrency industry is concerned. When you talk about longevity, this forum is actually outstanding. If you talk about the uniqueness of the information gotten here, this forum is second to non. If you talk about rewarding the forum users, this forum is outstanding.

Basically, this forum is for different people different things and that is why you will have different kind of people here in the forum with different ambitions and mindset.
748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't look for investment, just hodle! on: October 31, 2023, 02:34:26 PM
Hodling is a very good tool for making progress in the cryptocurrency industry and bitcoin investment. When I was new to this industry, the money I was in trading and other kinds of scam investment or Ponzi related investment which I lost all. Assuming I used the money to buy and hold, it would have been a very different positive news for me.

This industry is not as hard as people see it, especially the new commers. There are technically aspects of this industry, but you can still be successful even if you do not want to learn the technical things. Just buy low and hodl.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: October 31, 2023, 02:12:49 PM
These are the methods you can use to earn free cryptocurrency

Eg :

1. AMA(Ask me anything)
2. Testnet
3. Play to earn games
4. Bounty
5. Ambassador Programs
There are actually many ways to earn cryptocurrency for free but then what we should consider is how much cryptocurrency you can earn through means. You might be required to do much work and be paid something not substantial.
As someone has said earlier, those kinds of pay is only necessary for people who are looking for motivation to continue learning cryptocurrency.

For people who are willing to invest in the cryptocurrency industry should first have a job, earn fiat and use same to invest in cryptocurrency.
750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 31, 2023, 01:29:32 PM
Not that I'm a charting expert or a good technical or fundamental analyst let alone a bear, but I'm really surprised at the spike that's happened, and which is probably continuously happening as of this writing. So far, the price has already hit above $34,000. That's already more than 12% in growth in just 24 hours.
I have known that the bitcoin price is due for increment even in the month of September but many factors delayed and shifted it to the month of October. I had anticipated increment in bitcoin price but the price did more than my expectations. I expected 30k max but I was surprised that the price for to 35k.

Talking about expectations, many technical gurus expected this and many also did not expect this and that is how it happens. Speculations is all about assumptions which may or may not happen.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: October 31, 2023, 01:06:07 PM
The recent surge in BTC to the $35k region has led many to believe that the bull market is back. Some analysts believe this is just the effect of historical October patterns, and we may see a significant pullback for accumulation and liquidity purposes before the bull season kicks off. I'm confused, which is why I'm here. What's your opinion, fellow traders?"

May of us and including me does not know the difference between the normal increment of price and the bull run increment of price. I think that the bull run price increment differs from other price changes because the bull run positive price is always building to a new ATH. If this is true, what happened last week is nothing close to the bull run, rather it is a normal price increment that we see when bitcoin has consolidated for so long.

I think we are going to experience another bear market to the region of 20k before bull run will come.
752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 31, 2023, 12:09:04 PM
Yes, 35k is expensive to buy, because it has already dropped to 34k as I type. The bitcoin price has dwell so long in the range of 20k such that the 20k to 25k range is now seen as the average normal price of bitcoin. Reaching 30k is already a high price and 4k ontop of the 30k is high if only you are a short term investor.

On the second thought, 35k is a very good entry price if you are a long term investor or if you are investing with the bull run in mind. So, a short term investor buying at 35k is taking a huge risk because the price might plunge back while a long term investor would have nothing to bother.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is health and health is Bitcoin. on: October 31, 2023, 11:49:37 AM
I know that health is wealth, I don't know the place of bitcoin in the quote of wealth. I haven't seen anyone who prioritized investment over health. But I have seen people who spent their investment because of health related issues.
their is something that is paramount for Bitcoin investment, it can to my knowledge that health is more of important than any investment, before you invite you have to treat yourself very properly, their is some people who prefer investment first before health. Do you know that when you are not healthy you will not be able to read and understand what you read.

It will be nice to always preview your post and read again before you post. Some of the typing errors in your post above are avoidable but you didn't take cognizance of them.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? on: October 31, 2023, 10:23:42 AM
What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? It can be anything like some sort of scam happening to you or some other type of loss.

My first time of using bitcoin was to make a payment to my scammer. I actually sent fiat to someone who bought bitcoin and sent it to my wallet and I sent BTC that approximately worth 0.2BTC to scammer. After everything turned out to be a scam, I was pained because I lost a few thousand dollars. But when I later understood what bitcoin is and remembered that I once lost 0.2BTC, I alway tend to cry. It is not a nice memory to me.

Assuming I wasn't scammed and I used that money to buy bitcoin and hold, by now, I should be able to own 1BTC.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Real Estate: Is it worth it? on: October 31, 2023, 10:13:36 AM

Of course - we don't know the future and how all this can be useful. But cryptos that don't have a real use case are more likely to become outdated and fail to compete for a large market share. Traders and investors will find others product that allow them to generate profits with good potential as well - but I doubt NFTs and Real Estate are one of them.
That is true, cryptos that doesn't have real use case doesn't actually last. Their existence is base on hype and drastic promotion. We take for instance, the meme coins. I do not like meme coins but I was however compelled by my friend to buy Shiba and unfortunately for me the coin dumped on me. Currently I am in -80% in my portfolio and I strongly believe that Shiba cannot make a new ATH .

That is the case of all these digital arts and real estates . I believe with time the hype will calm and many people will forget it
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An Existing Pre-Sale that you can recommend Is There a Token That Is Available? on: October 30, 2023, 10:32:01 PM
Hello Bitcointalk, Dear Members, do you know a pre-sale token with solid connections that you can recommend? I'm Thinking About Making an Investment

I wouldn't recommend any pre-sales here, as most of them are just rubbish that come and go quickly. So, it's better to avoid them all except tokens that are at L-1 or L-2, they look more promising.

Then, you said that you wanted to make an investment, right? investments are usually made over the long term, so wouldn't it be better for you to buy Bitcoin (BTC) for the purpose of holding it in the long term? after all, we're due for a halving in a few months.
Buying from pre sales is one good way to make unimaginable profits. But I think that those days are gone when people get lucky to discover genuine projects that offer presale. What is in almost all the market now is scam coins which will get listed below the the price you bought or coins that is already saturated by pre entrance before announcing to the public.

There might still be few good ones but it will be difficult to locate if at all they still exist. Pre sale came in the early days when bounty was so effective.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Real Estate: Is it worth it? on: October 30, 2023, 10:19:39 PM
I've seen digital property being sold for thousands of dollars (USD) in Decentraland. I'm yet to understand why digital real estate is appalling to mainstream investors. Owning a virtual property is not the same as owning a real one. It's just like NFTs (through the form of digital art, items, etc.). It may be all hype that will eventually fade away into oblivion. Or maybe I'm wrong?

Do you think digital real estate has a future? Is it worth it? If not, why? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

I thought I would have a link in OP where I can read in details how the digital real estate works. Ordinary it doesn't make sense to me but then I realise NFT didn't also make sense to me but it didn't stop NFT from existing.
In this life, people like to do stupid things and you will be surprised how stupid things attract people. Many people actually got money and are just looking for ways to largish dem. Maybe digital real estate could be one means to do that.

The future is very unpredictable, I know one in one country could buy properties from another country but not a digital property
758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 30, 2023, 09:57:11 PM

Best to avoid trading futures in times like this, but if you must, make sure you know what you are doing, and use proper risk management like the stop loss and take profit features, also ensure you are only trading with an amount of money you can afford to lose, and remember not to put all your eggs in one basket.

Happy trading ya all.

One thing about risky things is that it is being talked about that it is risky and anyone going into it must first understand that it is risky. It is not something that is done ignorantly. I have got the opportunity to learn about Futures but because of how risky it is said to be, I didn't learn it again. This is because if I learn it, I will be tempted to practice it and maybe I will lose so much money.

I am not a fan of high returns in investment. That is why I love bitcoin. Some altcoins seem like risky and looks to me like gambling that is why I have sticked to bitcoin.
759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 30, 2023, 09:44:40 PM
Snipped

From your topic and what you given, through the discussion, you're saying that it's good to take risk and also avoid taking much of it when we seek in for knowledge, yet your title is talking more on risky adventure to avoid, but we all know that if there must be a successful business enterprise, then we must take risk, in trading, either you like it or not you still must take risk, not because we don't know about it, but because in other to make us approved for the success achievement we aimed at in what we do while trading.

The Op, was trying to make nice use of his words and yet he tried to convey his message. Only the title of the thread did not make sense, but when you read down the body I think it is connected. The slight contradiction is when he advised that we should take risk and also not to take to much risk. This idea is landing that we should attempt only calculated risk.

There's no type of investment that is totally risk free. You must be committed and willing to take risks before you could succeed in life.

MANCHESTER DERBY
For a recent time now Manchester Derby does not hold much weight and anxiety as it used to be before. Expectations are no longer high as almost everyone has known that Manchester city will win Manchester United. I do not actually know the problem of my club Manchester United. I do not know whether the problem is for the players, the coach or the management. But I will strongly blame the Glazer's for the downfall of Manchester United.

But for Today's Manchester Derby, I will rather blame the coach for wrong choices. Despite that so many players are not available to him and City has more quality squad, he would have done better if he played Anthony on the right and Bruno in the number 10 position
