741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: January 04, 2020, 08:41:22 AM
Personally, I am not interested John McAfee's opinion about any cryptocurrencies, he has a bad reputation because of promoting different useless projects, so I think he just want to get some hype by saying such coin as Dogecoin will "Go to the Moon".

Because the altcoins he supported before had messed up I guess. This doge however is different, it had long been working as is before he shill for it. DOGE is pure coin with its own blockchain, fast and can be traded in different exchanges. I don't know why someone wouldn't like a cute dog.  This is to be honest is the safest coin you could go and its pumping right now.
742  Economy / Reputation / Re: Binance Fake youtube channel with 240K subscribers on: January 04, 2020, 08:00:32 AM

This is a very old scam but surprisingly this is going to still work for someone who wants to get easy money from them. In fact they wanna be the first to send BTC.

The real binance youtube channel I think is this one https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0BNTTRYI7c0MUM5355zMqg I have subscribed to it since I watched their videos to learn from them. That scam channel only have 1 video on it.
743  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 03, 2020, 05:56:33 PM
There are synthetic gold already that they can use, it doesn't need to be mine. I think the manufacturer of the devices like motherboards which you sees to need gold uses these synthetic already. Not sure though but everything today can be created in a lab including diamonds which is almost same as real.

If we are to compare BTC and Gold, I guess convenience will win. You just can't bring large amount of gold anywhere but with BTC you can cross boarders with more than $10k in your phone wallet.

744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The best crypto projects created in 2018-2019? on: January 03, 2020, 04:45:10 PM
Most of the project since 2018 - 2019 aren't yet gaining in terms of price, you can't tell exactly which of them are the best in terms of price but only to its concept and the technology behind the project. There were many of the projects doing IEO and some are not doing IEO too.

OP listed blocknet but this isn't create in 2018-2019, it was way back and this isn't the only that offers same concept I believe bisq.network works the same as blocknet.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Community calls out Charlie Lee on: January 03, 2020, 03:58:37 PM
I think some important information are missing in your post. What does he have to pay at a 1:1 ratio? Is there a promise of LTC buyback or what? This is probably what happens when you try to cut the article and force some people to click on that link so the OP can get paid.

I don't quote a full post often but I'll do it this time just for reference.
After Litecoin founder Charlie Lee pledged to make a push towards improved privacy in 2019, it appears that development towards this goal is now well underway as development funding picks up steam.

The new development plans to implement the MimbleWimble protocol on Litecoin, allowing users to selectively opt-in to privacy-preserving confidential transactions.

Full News Here

I do think that once stated and called out a person should do what he was meant at first place.

Charlie Lee stated that he would pay 1:1 but he's shouting out to the Community that he won't pay all of it.

It makes sense they are angry at him and asking him to pay all at once else it might die.

Are you by the Communities side or you think Charlie Lee did the right call?

lol  He must have done it on purpose so it forces you to go over into the link. I'm not going into the link either but I'm probably believe what said above that Charlie promise the privacy feature of LTC. Calling out Charlie would be wise, let him know you are watching him.

I'm not however believing that he wouldn't buy back what he sold. Just like Vitalik they are to own these coins forever, they know when to buy back.

746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Count down to Iran invasion on: January 03, 2020, 02:49:56 PM
Thread suddenly relevant I see. You think the US will strike Iran first? I have a feeling that commander was smit due to the incident in the US embassy. Likely the US believe Iran was behind it (kinda similar to how it happened in Tehran).

Yes I never thought the day will come they will really bomb Iran, its all over the news today. All my feed is telling about the general who died after the rocket strike. It does sound like US old trick. But this will lead media to blame Trump while he is also going to suffer the impeachment.

In the news was that Iran pledge to retaliate to US, now this is going to get worse.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 03, 2020, 02:20:57 PM
ICO times are gone for good, unfortunately we had too many scams during its peak season. IEOs are the new thing but even though they usually bring "instant liquidity" (or something close to that) time has proven that this model is not the best one yet. Something like the concept proposed by Vitalik with the DAICOs would be the best shot in here, the only way to secure funds based on team achievements.

We do have some players that are trying that approach such as W12 or Kickico, but none have really succeeded so far. Let's see how the game is played during 2020, but decentralized funding is definitely here to stay, its just a question of time until we find the best methodology for it Smiley

This DAICOs I think might just work for it will provide risk free to investors. I would put my trust to a smart contract than a team that will just show an MVP and after getting the money will not even report what happen after a quarter while the price is -80% ico price. Hopefully a team must try it and if successful this will be the preferred crowdfunding model for the projects.
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 02, 2020, 09:16:14 PM
Does anyone know who is the admin of Bitcointalk Forum ?

Satoshi

That means you don't know who you impersonate.

Because as far as history goes, satoshi was part in the creation of this forum. He was one of the first users of bitcointalk and if you don't know that then we must be talking to someone else.

The old cryptographers who were talking to satoshi back when he presented his whitepaper were here during that time too. Can't you login to your old account?
749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Moving away 2019 and looking forward for 2020. A Bullish or Still a bear season? on: January 02, 2020, 09:03:45 PM

Price may look bullish if we compare it to the price last year but its still in the bearish if we take a loot at the charts. Some people speculate that it may even drop back to $3k again. The price may probably go up in bullish trend on mid year after the halving just as how it did in the past.

The wave in the charts are exciting to look at but when badly needed the bullrun to come, its not fun to experience this bear season when you have not dump all you got since 2017.
750  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: January 02, 2020, 07:40:08 PM
What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?
Will this ever happen? this is because this same question can equally be put this way. What if there is no more internet again? will this ever happen? my answer is NO but if eventually happens all the investors and people who are holding crypto currency inform of their wealth will all lose their money and they will have no option other than to start a new investment.

"Nothing will last forever" whoever said that.  I don't know if bitcoin will last forever. No one knows yet maybe 500 years from now someone will create a coin better than BTC. Or probably a catastrophic event destroying all gadgets in the world including all the miner's devices. Whatever happens.

If crypto vanishes, I guess we can go back to fiat again we haven't completely throw it away anyway. We still use fiat today.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright never understood anything about bitcoin on: January 02, 2020, 04:37:36 PM

He claimed to have created BTC but wants it disappear, that puts him to have misunderstood how BTC works.

Now is the final days that he had to prove he is satoshi, he has to cash out his billions in BTC to pay the lawsuit and if he can't do that. The claim will all be revealed how fake this CSW.  His next prediction will be funnier.
752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEVER EVER deal Bitcoins with PAYPAL (F&F too!) on: January 02, 2020, 03:22:34 PM

Worse thing to experience while year end. This is why I turn down an employer who will try to hire me outside of the upwork so he can pay me thru paypal.  I wouldn't take the risk and will just accept upwork taking the 10% than being scammed by someone with bought upwork account. There are trusted users who buy paypal $ with BTC, its them that you should trade.

753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Wall Observer — price movements and news on: January 01, 2020, 04:08:24 PM
^  He's prolly saying Tron is the scammiest, dirty little thing out there.  But think about it, is it really?  Sun bought Bittorrent and led a consortium to acquire Poloniex to rebuild it to its former glory...  Something's cooking.  IMHO.

And sure he made dumb mistakes.  But it doesn't mean the dirty little thing ain't gonna go on a huge uptrend when its time comes...

How huge is DLive.tv btw?

Yup I really believe Sun is cooking something after he bought this Polo and allow users to use the exchange without the KYC to withdraw $10k. Very unusual among all the exchange although this is because they move the location but still this is getting weirder.

Nothing has changed to DLive.tv though. I would hope crypto tubers will try moving to this tube site after youtube crypto purge.
754  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for me and others? on: December 30, 2019, 03:25:58 PM

Learning cryptocurrency and blockchain doesn't require merits though, this is just for the forum. If you don't have knowledge to blockchain and industry you can just go around and join altcoin bounty campaigns like writing articles and social media to gradually learn all that is needed to know. Learning by earning altcoins will be a good motivation.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack on: December 29, 2019, 07:59:14 PM

51% attack would be pointless unless those miners are willing to spend their energy without mining BTC. That's a horrible decision to do for them. It had never happen because these miners won't commit to plan on doing it. And I guess this will be the reason why it will remain decentralize even when a pool has the capacity to do it.
756  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalCoin DEX ($50 welcome bonus) decentralized crypto-market on: December 29, 2019, 04:50:33 PM
1. There will be Fiat gateways soon - businesse who can buy and sell LocalUSD, LocalEUR and etc for real fiat.
2. There will be OTC platfrom where people can trade LocalUSD, LocalEUR and etc.
That means that it is not 1:1 now,
but in future maybe 'there will be'

If anyone now owns localUSD you can only exchange it on your exchange for LLC and then to LTC

It is like BitUSD
and we can all see how 'stable' it is
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitusd

Which exactly the reason why its thread title must be changed, its false advertising. When it says $50, it means 50 US dollars. Can't call it stable when LLC isn't worth $1.

But do you mean when fiat gateway is ready the LLC will soon be $1?  To be fair to your DEX, it does have features that everyone would like. I certainly wold want to be here when there is volume.

757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the blockchain - What do you think? on: December 29, 2019, 03:13:57 PM
I found this interesting article about the current gaming industry on the blockchain, what do you think about the gaming industry currently on the blockchain and do you think it will evolve and have a future? Or is blockchain not really for gaming? If you want to read the article, you can read it on the link below.

https://www.publish0x.com/interesting-crypto-projects/games-blockchain-2019-xdqjjz?a=GELe3POa69

On top of that, the blogging platform is a great way to earn crypto for free. You can earn crypto for voting on articles and also for creating content. You can earn DAI and BAT currently but it is a better way than to just do bounties where you have no idea when the token will become live on an exchange. You can sign up through the article. Hope to see you there!

Great article, keep up the great content on this thread.

Also thanks for sharing the crypto blog as well, I've started earning BAT without investing money or mining, I highly recommend it, you can sign up through the link in the quoted text. I've already earned more from this platform than Steemit.

Tried publish0x but the earnings isn't that good actually, I doubt you can earn much from it. Its not worth unless you can make articles viral and have good amount of followings in social media to go into your article. Same with steemit, you'd be much frustrated to see even if you have to make professional articles you'd be chasing newer issues in crypto to get around. You'd rather be writing on your own website and apply a position to a team instead.
758  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: December 29, 2019, 02:26:09 PM

Many litecoin holders had been disappointed when the halving didn't start the bullrun of the coin. I was expecting price to at least jump 2x after halving but its price instead dip lower. It was funny losing money instead when you expect to double the funds you think will be an easy profit. I don't know if the disappointment will be inherited by BTC halving but there weren't much option for traders though but to keep expecting. If its going to have a bullrun this year then be it.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is libra coin going to dominate the Bitcoin market? on: December 28, 2019, 07:49:43 PM
Will Libra coin reduce the dominance of Bitcoin market?

Libra is designed as a competitor more for USDT than Bitcoin.
It could "take away" from Bitcoin the "use as a coin", but Bitcoin will remain at least a good investment.

However, these are suppositions. Libra has a huge power behind it and the regulators know that, so will not allow it for now.
Libra may be allowed to get launched only after ECB and other similar institutions have their coin ready or even already launched.

Probably or if most countries already have their own digital currency launched and then facebook libra will be approved. ITs too dangerous to release that coin today since it could be more powerful the a government, its a stablecoin that might not be audited if they let it launched and can be used in different ways.

Tether got a bit of a percentage which I guess the libra will also have but definitely not going to take over since more are going to prefer the decentralize coin.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 28, 2019, 06:37:46 PM

Its hard to promote a decentralize video sharing platform and make it popular when all there is that we are do is go to youtube to watch whatever is there. Maybe if we could organize together that crypto community only shares the decentralized video platform link on social media, the platform could gain more users entirely not from crypto. Its possible and youtube knew it could happen which possibly the reason they apologized for purging crypto videos.

Which one do you think of the decentralize video sharing platform is better to use?
