741  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC Game shady scamsite? on: December 01, 2023, 03:55:33 AM
If you don't have an accusation then why are you posting in this section about BCGAME? If you took the time to look around the forum, you'd see that they have been solving issues users have had. I'm not sure your reasoning for this post.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to pre announce their casino as long as they follow the rules of this section and don't make a second thread when they launch. They only need to update this thread with their announcement info and all will be fine.

Welcome to bitcointalk!!!
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 30, 2023, 08:59:16 AM
However, someone attempted a 3 on the last possession of the Heat, and luckily it just bounce, so woah, big relieved for me.  Grin
I also saw that desperate final shot and we're lucky it didn't go in because it could've been a backdoor cover.

It's tempting to go for the bigger favorites like the Nuggets, Magic, or Lakers but i'm still scarred from what happened the other day. I switched my pick to the Suns since they've been on a good streak and should extend it even further if nothing goes wrong.

I was hoping the Suns winning streak continued but they let us both down tonight. Booker with only 8 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists kinda hurt. KD was the only 1 with a decent game.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 29, 2023, 11:53:25 PM
Threw together a 4 teamer for tonight.

Orlando ML- Prob should have taken the spread honestly as the Magic are 13-3-1 against the spread meaning they have covered 13 times. Pretty impressive.

Sac Kings ML feeling the upset vs the failing Clippers superstars

Phoenix ML Not ready to give points with the Suns just yet. Maybe if Beal gets back in the lineup healthy I would consider it, but I think ML or Toronto and the points is the play here.

Lakers -6.5 This game with AD and Lebron playing against a struggling Pistons team looks like it should be an easy cover, but as we all know there is no easy cover.

Good luck to anyone betting tonights games.

1-2 again! Bringing my 24 day total to 37-35 need a big night tonight.  Got 3 games in my scope need a 3-0 sweep to get some clearance:

Suns -3.5 on the road.  They are hot and this seems like they should easily win this one.

Denver -8.  They need a win.  Missed the in season tourny and think they take it out on tonight's game.  Got a double digit blowout incoming

Kings +1.5 yes it was an exhausting game last night but I think the clips have huge issues.  Kings win and Clippers flounder again.

Good luck tonight everyone!
Gordon, Jokic, and Murray are all game time decisions. If they're all playing then -8 is fine, but if they aren't your bet may be in trouble, gl either way.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 29, 2023, 06:58:01 PM
I just saw this betslip shared by someone on social media and he was bragging that he turn his builder bet to Php 1 million pesos or equivalent to over $18k.

The bet is only Php 1k or ($18)... see the bet slip below. (check the outcome to see the winning).... Smiley

ccto

So you see, those who are preaching that you can't win in gambling, this is for you!

You don't win if you don't try, this gambler for sure kept trying on playing "bet builder", probably even on "parlay", and finally one day he made himself a millionaire. This is a significant success already as not everyone can win a huge amount in gambling, considering the bet was only less than $20.

What can you say about this? Are you willing to risk your $18 to win $18k, or a million in PHP pesos?
This is what makes gambling attractive IMO. You're able to put a small amount of money down on a chance to win a jackpot. Your odds are low of course, but if you got a few bucks to spare take a shot.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: November 29, 2023, 04:35:01 PM
Quote
Guideline 1: Gamble no more than 1% of household income
Don’t bet more than 1% of your household income before tax per month. For example, someone with a household income of $70,000 before tax should gamble no more than $58 per month.

Recently I decided to risk only 1 percent of my gambling portfolio into each bet. This makes my bet risk free as I know that even if I lose the bet i will lose only 1% of my gambling money.

Do you guys also follow a similar strategy like gambling with 1% or 2% on each game? This way not only we are safe from losing big amounts but at the same time, we never find ourselves in a situation where we go all in, in some bet and then have the fear of losing all of our money.

You must have heard 1% strategy in trading, the same can be applied in gambling too and believe me, you will feel a lot more comfortable using this 1% of your money in every game.
This also gives you a lot of games to play before you end up on your money as on every bet you will use 1% of your money. In case you lose all bets, you will be playing 100 games because your money is exhausted.

The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines
No risk no reward. If you are gambling to have fun and make a sporting event a little more entertaining, than this is a decent strategy. If you are looking to make big money, obviously this strategy will not do it for you unless you make a ridiculously big parlay and get lucky.
747  Economy / Reputation / Re: Any Rules for Bounty Manager? on: November 28, 2023, 09:05:00 PM
Also I think every participant knows very well every risk they accept before joining the bounty, but now as if voicing to mark the bounty campaign manager for feeling unpaid, cheated by the bounty manager, etc. if there is no evidence or strong allegation to mark the bounty manager then it will not work effectively it maybe can even be considered as an abuse of trust.
Bounty manager can also define to put all campaigns funds into a trusted Bitcointalk escrow service, where all funds will be kept safe from untrusted people or even hack.
He can prove it publicly by involving an escrow service and participants can see ii in Bitcoin's Blockchain publicly.
Bounty mananger can't cheat, funds will be safu.
The issues with what you propose are if all managers were required to put funds/tokens in escrow then more than half of the managers currently wouldn't have jobs. They are getting the jobs they get now because teams are looking for the cheapest guy out there and gives them a chance to run off without paying if the sale doesn't go the way they want it to. Your basic bounty managers would not be open to this being a MUST rule.

If teams had to escrow tokens plus eth for sending the tokens there would be less "projects" that happen as well. IMO most of the projects launched would be more legit as at a minimum at least tokens would always be paid out. Teams will not be open to this all being a MUST rule as it would lessen the chances to run a scam project.

Joining a bounty is a gamble. 50/50 chance to be paid or not be paid. No manager I don't think has a perfect record(I could be wrong). If you have doubts about a manager or team, just don't join that bounty.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 03:34:47 AM
No Durant and the Suns are still winning the game currently. Gordon and Booker seem to be holding it down so far. Knicks better get someone besides Brunson going or they're not gonna have a chance in this game.

The Knicks couldn't take advantage in this game despite the Suns being undermanned, missing two of their superstars, and the Knicks playing at home. Suns with Booker (+ -) Durant really playing good basketball here, so even if bookies would sometimes make them as underdog, we can be confident that they have a good chance of winning, I'm wondering what the ML odds for this game?
Phoenix odds on Moneyline were +180 before the game started. If I were to bet the Suns without Durant I probably would have taken the 6 points to be safer. Missing 2 of your good players is a serious disadvantage and Booker has too many off games to rely on him for big points.

I'm willing to find a constructive solution for our German section
The solution is simple, stop acting like the German board police, because you are not, learn to accept that people have the right to disagree with you, agree to disagree and do not use the trust system against your fellow German members.

Also, it is not within your roles or rights to enforce forum rules, only the mods can decide what "shit posts" are to be deleted, all you can do is report them , and if they are still there, just live with the fact that the mods simply do not agree with your judgment, why is that so difficult?

I have to express my greatest thanks to you, you speak from the hearts of me and many others and hopefully through your commitment the whole thing will come to an end and peace will then return to our german local board!  Smiley
Peace only happens if all parties stay civil. If you poke the bear then expect to be poked back.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 12:34:44 AM
Shout out to my knicks.  I almost turned the game off but figured it was an inseason tourny game watch to the end.  Down 21 in the third and 17 in the 4th they locked down Jimmy buckets all 4th quarter.  Held Miami to 11 or 12 points all quarter and rampages theor way back to a win at the garden.  Best win of the year so far for them.  Team looks tight.

That was a close game the other night. Nice to see Randle making a few shots after starting off the season with one of the lowest field goal shooting percentages in modern basketball history. They showed they can play with good teams when they have it together. I wouldn’t doubt them making the playoffs this year.

Knicks are definitely making the playoffs if they stay relatively injury free.  There just isn't enough good teams on the bottom half of the eastern conference to keep them out.  Randle eventually has to know this is brunson's team he needs to play second fiddle.  Tonight is a big game against the Suns.  Durant is a game time decisions on if he plays.  Will obviously make a huge difference whether he is on the court or not.
No Durant and the Suns are still winning the game currently. Gordon and Booker seem to be holding it down so far. Knicks better get someone besides Brunson going or they're not gonna have a chance in this game.
751  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 26, 2023, 05:19:56 AM
This can be interpreted in different ways, therefore I am of the opinion that it is not enough for red. Signature is payment for some kind of service, or promotion, and if you remove the ad from your sig space, you will not be paid.
In Ratimov's case, he wanted to pay for the improvement of his reputation, but he didn't get it, maybe that's why he doesn't want to pay.

But the offer was not contingent on him getting a certain amount of reputation or something like that. The way the offer was made it looked like him calling himself a "sponsor" was all he wanted out of it. He gets that for about 11 months out of 12, and then withdraws the offer. Does not seem right no matter how I try to look at it.

And even IRL courts often don't consider "fairness" in contract disputes. In other words, if Sym engaged in a bad deal, that's kinda his own fault.

Anyway, I'm not advocating for red trust, but I also probably wouldn't oppose a flag if any of the participants of the contest can provide solid reasoning based on the facts of this "sponsor" deal alone (without detours to plagiarism and all the other drama).
When someone opens a thread and offers to sponsor a contest, they should just send those funds to someone to hold and consider them gone. There's no reason for them to be able to back out then. Look at all the merits folks gain by hosting contests and such. Building reputation and using it to their advantage, but when shit hits the fan they change their name and kill the contests then try to fade away.

Totally unacceptable IMO.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 26, 2023, 03:20:58 AM
There are some old people in my family which are paying cricket fantasy games. They usually talk about the games and their performance is matches almost daily. It is obvious that if any younger guy in family will listen about this, he will also be eager to know more about this. How can I stop the younger generation in my family being carried away by this and focus on other important things like studies only ?
By educating them on the risks and letting them know its not all sunshine and rainbows. Gambling can and will cause problems if you let it. You are never going to keep gambling 100% out of sight. If you have television you will see advertisements, if you have casinos near you you will see signs, if you have friends that gamble they will discuss it. IMO, it's better to educate your young ones vs trying to hide it.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 26, 2023, 01:59:46 AM
Yeah, I personally feel that slot games are a complete waste of time and money most of the time, I got this bonus from btcgosu's partnership with BetFury which awarded me a 77 free spins.

Bonus is still available for anyone to claim on https://www.btcgosu.com/blog/news/unleash-the-black-friday-magic-get-77-free-spins-with-code-gosu77-at-betfury/

I played slot game with the free spin and ended up with a total win of $16, but also hammered with a wager requirement of about $750 before I did be able to withdraw.

I continued playing slot with the $16, and soon, I had up to $55 in total amount won, I was really happy and hopeful that before I did lose all $55, I would have won much to enable me complete the wager requirement and possibly walk out in profit.

But unfortunately, I ended up losing the entire $55 dollar while I still had about $582 dollar in wager requirement, I am not confident enough to deposit and continue chasing, so I'm giving up.

I've never been lucky with slot games, never, and I am not pleased about it to be honest.
What about you?
Mistake #1 taking a deposit bonus. Mistake #2 thinking you would actually clear said deposit bonus. Most casinos offer these bonuses in order to get signups and to let people play a little while on a 1st depo or reload bonus without having to spend the extra money. You get a lot of play from a small deposit and can try their games out. Every once in awhile someone will clear the bonus and cashout, but even then lots of casinos limit the max win to $100.

Basically only accpet a bonus if you have the money to lose cause there's very low odds you'll complete the bonus terms.

They may or may not resolve the issues everyone is having, but if everyone is only in attack mode do you think that will really motivate them to even try? All you guys are doing is taking away any sort of potential hope that people with open accusations might have as far as this forum goes. If you don't have an open case or haven't been actively posting trying to help in the scam accusations, you really have no business posting here honestly. Go get your post quotas elsewhere.

These are my voluntary, private giveaways

Technically, you violated a contract with the participants, you pledged to give prizes to the winners, and thus, people participated for that reason, any participant on one of the 4 contests you canceled can technically issue a flag type 3 against you for violating a contract, myself being one of them won't do it because you nicely invited me back then when we were "good friends" long before you read my comments in P&S -- although now that I think about it, I think I was never your friend, I was just another "well established" member that you used to increase your power on forum, your lobbying skills are indeed top-notch to say the least.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with this. Same thing goes for the Ratimov deal, I feel you guys are in the wrong and should pay out the prizes promised. In your case it's under 100$ in his case much more, but the amount doesn't matter. You made a commitment IMO and should honor it.

The reason I type the word unfortunately is because I don't want anyone to think i'm taking sides and picking on 1miau. Mikey just answered before I had time to.
756  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: November 24, 2023, 10:32:20 PM
Hey, Halab, good initiative. Let me support your competition as a sponsor.

So far the prizes are:

Quote
1st : 0.0030 BTC
2nd : 0.0015 BTC
3rd : 0.0005 BTC

As a sponsor, I will add the following amounts to the prize money:

Quote
1st : 0.027 BTC
2nd : 0.0135 BTC
3rd : 0.007 BTC

In total, taking into account the prize money from Halab+ Ratimov, the following prizes are obtained:

Quote
1st : 0.03 BTC
2nd : 0.015 BTC
3rd : 0.0075 BTC

Good luck to all!

Sponsor definition: N a person or organization that pays for or contributes to the costs involved in staging a sporting or artistic event in return for advertising:

V provide funds for (a project or activity or the person carrying it out):

SOURCE

Donation definition: something that is given to a charity, especially a sum of money

Sponsoring something means you are pledging the money. It is a contractual obligation IMO if you sponsor something with a prize or with money. If he had used the word donation and not give an amount at the time, then he could decide the donation whenever he pleased although I wouldn't advise anyone join a competition or contest with the prize up in the air like that. I think he is breaching a contract and deserves feedback honestly. Had he decided after a day or week to change the amount or not to sponsor, then he would prob be fine, but to wait til nearly over and stop the sponsorship because of his drama on the forum is ridiculous.

I am going to consider a tag but want to hear other opinions. Seems very wrong to me, but maybe i'm in the wrong?
757  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 24, 2023, 09:46:01 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.
Is this really a question? Of course the rich win more in all variances of the word. They can bet higher amounts, they can take more risks, and they can place more bets than a poor person. If you are what you consider "poor" then you probably shouldn't be gambling in the 1st place honestly.

758  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: November 24, 2023, 05:14:42 AM
Would you consider selling me your all operations/platforms/database in exchange for refunding all of your users?

with an ESCROW of course.

No, no, selling users' databases, is a big red flag and should not be considered.
When registering, Betnomy users certainly did not consent to the trading of their data. It's like that on all online services.
While it is a red flag, some sites prob could care less if they are exiting the market. Unless someone was on the inside whistleblowing, noone would know really except the buyer and seller. I don't think that's on the table in this case, I am assuming Betnomi is trying to make users whole again and rebuild. Only time will tell at this point.

i have bad news for the lions Sad

since the afl/nfl merger, they are 0-12 (.000) on thanksgiving when the moon is in a waxing gibbous phase. tomorrow is a waxing gibbous

You think the Lions can overcome waxing gibbous?  Cheesy

Lions do not hunt at night hehehe.

In any case, the Cowboys again has won against the spread vs a bad team with -12. This has been 3 games already hehehe. Their next 3 games might be good to bet against if the oddsmakers overestimate them on the spread. It might be very much similar to the Bills vs. the Eagles. Why are they only -3.5 against the Bills? Is it because the Bills won on week 11 vs. the Jets? They might be overestimating the Bills, this should be -7, I reckon.

Also, the Steelers might win vs. the Bengals without without Joe Burrow.
Damn Lions screwed up my parlay right out the gate. They needed to be the late game so I could enjoy eating Turkey without knowing I was losing money LOL. What a terrible record they have on Thanksgiving.
760  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is 1miau fit for DT? on: November 23, 2023, 09:52:14 PM
1miau might be taking a break as suggested earlier and is letting people read and make a decision. Let's say many people dislike the behavior he has been accused of, that doesn't mean he would need to leave the forum at all. He just needs to change the way he interacts in certain instances. Not use red trust as a tool. Nothing more. You're only kicked out of DT forever if you are constantly leaving bad feedbacks and unwilling to change. We are all learning daily, if you aren't you prob aren't trying to.
