741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MinerGate Cloud mining on: February 09, 2017, 11:41:37 AM
Who would even invest in 24 months ROI. You are better off just investing in your own rig. You will have control over your investment and not to mention resale value after you are done (something that you can forget about cloud mining)
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do with 3 free VPS??? on: February 09, 2017, 11:38:54 AM
Those specs are really low. You cannot mine anything on them (if you planned on doing that) so i suggest you either sell them or use them for something like running website. That might end up useful
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Large scale GPU mining, OS and miner selection on: February 08, 2017, 06:43:04 PM
For large scale farms i would go for ubuntu.I don't see really how it requires more time to set up (maybe if you are not used to linux or command line) since it's much faster to install and require less space. Downside of ubuntu is that there are not a lot of software for remote management

Have you experienced other drawback using Ubuntu? I have heard that the hashrate may be lower than Windows setup.

Depends on miner optimization. Usually not true. Ubuntu is not that great if you want to overclock though but for bios modding much more stable than windows (even preferred) so would be great if you are using RX cards

If you are giving only files it's kinda useless since anyone can just google for nulled template download links. If you have some products purchased I suggest you put some screenshots otherwise you are just selling free content

Please Don't Publish Bullshit Posts .. If You Are Interrested , You can pay 30% And Get The Product .. I Can not Provide You with Screens or Any other thing but i'll Provide You The Script / The Files With Last Version And With NO Licence , IF You Want a Licence Go Ahead and Buy it from them Directly .. And Don't Post Bullshits to MY TOPIC ..

BYE  Roll Eyes

It's not bullshit. I just want to warn other users since you are selling other people work and that is not right. I'm web developer myself and I know know much effort goes into making one of those projects that you are selling . What you are doing is going to google, typing "PRODUCT NAME DOWNLOAD FREE" and then sell it. Anyone can do it so please don't be a child about it (maybe you are child ? )

I don't understand if you have 10 or 5 gpus... But anyway I've personally switched to monero. Price is pretty much stable or going up and I like that lower power consumption of cryptonight algo.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crazy private mining software on: February 08, 2017, 12:50:23 AM
Do they really exist , is there a private miners that we don't know about it pulling 2 to 3x what is public miners doing on the same gpus.
I can see on the pools some miners with crazy speeds i can't imagine that they are using such amount of hardware to get this speed , it seems also that the cards are not really loaded when i run any of the public miners like claymore or sgminer .....just asking if there is really something like that.. Smiley

Public miners made by non-professionals for non-professionals.
Most of them yes. But look at claymore for example. His miners are way on top of other ones and he proved that it can be quite profitable even for him (when he publicly release them and not sell it to a few people)
If i was one of them i wont make it public or sell it, i will just get my hardware and enjoy my 1 month roi .

Well I don't think it's that good. You need pretty high speeds in order to make one month ROI with any GPU. Private miners mostly have 10-20% improvement over public ones. You may say well 10% is not much but it is for people with large farms
This public miners are not really using the hardware at it's max , those gpus can do alot work and you can see it if you have gpu loading monitor even with the fastest claymore my gpu usage can reach 0% and 10% loading for a while like seconds or so and never reachs 100% , 10-20% i can get it easly with some OC or just switching to linux , those hardcore miner are getting at least 2-3x what is a public miner will and thats why i am sure they use there own hardware.
Other guys here explained you why core utilization is low. In fact for ETH what you want to do is lower the core clock and boost memory clock. Claymore is great developer and he is doing best he can. There are always myths that there are this "private miners" (I mean there are but they are not what everyone thinks) that will boost your hashing speed 10 times. Every now and then there is thread on btctalk and instead of opening new one you could've just searched for answer.  Of course maybe we are all wrong here and you know that there is miner that will boost your speed 2-3 times ? (yeah right...)

751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running GPUs/Rigs on Rent ? on: February 07, 2017, 07:07:27 PM
Hello Crypto Miners !

I live at a place where electricity is extremely cheap, almost free. I have just one personal rig with 4 cards running already.

I was thinking what if I could run GPUs or rigs for other miners - miners living in countries with expensive electricity, it could be a good deal for them as well as for me.

I wanted ideas over how could this be priced, as I will not be using any sophisticated software to manage Hashpower and sell it on a per hash / hour basis. So what other options could I have ? and how would I be able to build trust ? Do you know anyone who is doing this ?

Do you think this could work in a profitable manner ? All comments & suggestions are welcome !

I don't think you would be able to do that at this point. There were a lot of scams with cloud mining (i know its not the same) and people just lost their trust to put their investment into someone's else hands.

Yes especially in the beginning of a new coin /algo.
Sorry, another question about public miners like claymore and so on are they decreasing the hashrate for good hash/watt percentage , in other way can i increase my hashrate with alot of increased wattage as i don't care about how much the card burns electricity...and thx

Yes you can increase your hashrate by overclocking the card or modding card bios. It will increase power consumption but since you don't care about that just go for it
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Payment Gateway In AltCoin Currency (other than eth) ? on: February 07, 2017, 02:17:09 PM
You can try Coinify (link). They support 14 currencies which is pretty good. Now I couldn't find any information about their fees but I'm sure you'll find it if you dig some more (if you are interested in their services)
755  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need an experienced developer for coding a gambling website on: February 06, 2017, 11:19:13 PM
I may be able to help you but you need to share a bit more information like what kind of website are you looking for. There are many type of gambling websites... blackjack, roulette etc..
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 and 480, 4GB vs 8GB? on: February 06, 2017, 11:07:46 PM
based on my test results: performans/cost = rx470 8gb (samsung memory)

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

If you mean the Saphire Nitro+ 8gb RX 470, with the 8 GB/s memory? That one is Samsung. The only 470 with 480 memory speeds
Sapphire Nitro+ with 4gb also have samsung memory and it's really great card. I've personally bought 4 of them and I just can't say anything about about any of them.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU to mine basic anything? - beginner? on: February 06, 2017, 10:52:13 PM
Hi,

so i dont want to be a millionaire, its just for fun that i would like to try this out. Maybe even donate CPU / GPU to BOINC projects as well in the future.
Im definitely not a rich person , but i would like to get a GPU to start mining and understanding learning.

I currently have a GTX650 , but i was considering getting a decent Radeon instead of nVidia.
So i was thinking to get a RX 460 card ? is this silly or should i just get a better card like a RX 480.
I see for the RX 480 there is a 4gb version and a 8 gb version, is there much of a muchness?

Powercolor AXRX 480 4GBD5-3DHD Radeon RX 480 Red Dragon 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card
versus
PowerColor Axrx 480 8gbd5-3dh Radeon Rx 480 Red Devil 8GB 256bit Gddr5 Pci-e 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card

Unsure if the rest of my system is important in terms of specification, but i have just come from the world of Socket 462 AMD Athlon 2500+; AGP 7800 ; and DDR1 ram , so this is completely new to me.

Many thanks, and i hope to be able to join and contribute to those that are already digging for diamonds.

Currently the best card for mining would be RX 470, but if price difference in your country is not too high between RX 470 and RX 480, only then go for 480. Otherwise, price difference does not justify performance upgrade

i think the differences of the price between RX 470 and RX 480 is not too much and i will suggest you to buy RX 480. if you vga cards have more than one slots and if you have more budget then you can buy one or more so you can have more than enough of hashrate to starting mining.

Prices between that two cards vary based on country. I know that there are some countries where price between RX 470 and RX 480 is greater than 100$ . That is the reason why I wrote what I wrote...
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin mining with bitcoin appliances on: February 06, 2017, 12:38:28 AM
When you say bitcoin appliances  I assume you mean ASIC miners. And yes you can mine some altcoins with them. Bitcoin use SHA-256 algorithm so any altcoin with same algorithm could be mined with ASIC made to mine bitcoin. For example DigiByte is popular one.

Which altcoin uses which hash algorithm is there a list I can see?
Is there a list of altcoins that use the SHA-256 hash algorithm?

Yes there are altcoins that use SHA-256 algorithm but then again, if you have ASIC that mines SHA-256 you will in almost all cases want to mine bitcoins as it's most profitable to mine.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 and 480, 4GB vs 8GB? on: February 05, 2017, 05:22:30 PM
Both 470 and 480 have, and will have good resale value in the future. In my opinion, if RX 470 nitro is the cheapest go with that. If price difference in your country between RX470 and RX 480 is no that high go for 480 then. About memory, 8gb modules do have a bit higher seed
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 480 - Which are the ones to buy on: February 05, 2017, 11:17:46 AM
So the 4Gb will be enough for a year or two?
Im thinking also, what if things go sour on us, and we have to sell the cards, 8Gb will have a higher resell value and its more future proof for gamers Smiley

Im also scared of modifying the bios, im pretty sure that it will void the warranty, is that true?

4gb will be enough. There are no games that require more than 4gb of memory in order to be played so you are good there too. Yeah you will lose warranty, but before modifying you should always backup the original bios in case something goes wrong or you need to put it back up again later
