741  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: August 24, 2015, 07:08:41 PM
Well, it depends what you mean by "end" If you mean the full disappearance of the dollar, then that’s not going to happen. If by “end” you mean the dollar losing its position as the sole reserve currency then that’s already underway.

However the dollar could prove to be more resilient than people think, the dollar has collapsed before, and its still there, a possible scenario is that after a dollar collapse, the Fed decides to have a gold backed dollar, and BAM the dollar is back again (obviously this is unlikely but still possible)

That scenario will probably not happen. Once the US dollar collapses, anybody who has gold or silver or crypto will be the only people with any more at all. Also, the fed is owned by foreign nations and those people probably would not want to loose the economic control, so gold backed currency will probably never again occur.

It really is a shame that so many scammers exist online. It's a good thing there are at least some honest people out there still who do not lie or scam people to make a quick buck. Sometimes I wonder if anything in this section that is not a scam.
743  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for a bankroll funder for Pai Gow poker website on: August 24, 2015, 06:40:53 PM
My concern with the fact that you are seeing this as still a learning exercise is a possible security issue. If you accidentally leave a security hole of some sort, it would leave the investor(s) possibly without recourse. Are you planning on requesting or performing a thorough security audit?

It might be possible for you to program a mechanism for crowd funding the bank roll by allowing anyone to invest.
I could be able to do that part. This might definitely a big project, but I like the idea of coding the basic parts of the site with a more senior developer developing the real sensitive parts of the website. But I do like your idea of a crowd funding mechanism being implemented into the site. But as you pointed I may leave a security loophole without oversight.

I am looking for a programming and funding partner for a Pai Gow and Progressive Pai Gow website. You would end up owning 50% of the casino and I will be assisting you coding. I do not have any money to invest myself but once I get some work of my on I will be able to invest more into the casino. PM if interested in offer. I will be programming in the CakePHP framework. Do you know how to use it?
745  Bitcoin / Project Development / Looking for a bankroll funder for Pai Gow poker website on: August 22, 2015, 05:47:30 PM
So I want to build a web application to give me some work to do. I am going to build the backend of the website using the CakePHP framework. I want to have my own classic Pai Gow and Progressive Pai Gow games. The ideal partner will have an experience in PHP and MySQL, as well as understand the CakePHP Framework I want to use. I intend to do most of the programming because I want the learning experience. All I am really asking from my partner is the money to fund the website and supervise me along the way. Compensation can be worked out. At the moment, I have no money to invest into the site now, but once I have it up, the more work I get the more I can invest into the site.

I am installing Dreamweaver on my computer now and I am getting to work on the project.

BUMP. This offer still stands. A small job would be something like a SMF modification or a simple CMS for your portfolio or community.

748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price would go up a ton on a day like today if XT didn't exist on: August 21, 2015, 08:29:34 PM
Seriously take a hike XT, I'm thinking the only people who could possibly support it are teenagers living in their parents house that have no bitcoin.

[img]-snip-[img]

I have more bitcoins than you can probably never afford. Is this thread is supposed to have any substance at all?

You wouldn't support a controversial hard fork if you would have those. Would you be kind to sign with an address for us?

I could but I doubt that it would mildly influence your opinion at all.
I'm calling bullshit
If he decides to do it, you will end up looking like a fool, I try not to assume here but Knight has had a pretty good record of quality post and is a long time member, I don't think he is willing be shown as a liar.
I would like to see an address myself with a signed message so I could validate there claims for myself. At the moment, I think XT may lead to chaos down the road which is why consensus has to be founded before making such a controversial decision

750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you buy and sell BTC in person? on: August 21, 2015, 06:51:05 PM
I am fortunute to have a Bitcoin ATM up the street from my house as well as a reputable Bitcoin exchange in the city I live in. I have not ever had to use localbitcoin.com, I am happy with the exchange and every time I use their services everything goes smoothly and easily.
751  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 21, 2015, 06:42:25 PM
Bitcoin will probably not replace the US dollar anytime soon. The Dollar is a inflationary currency printed by a bank that is partly owned by foreigners. Every dollar printed is literally debt borrowed from these bankers. Since bitcoin is decentralized, the Federal Reserve will do anything it can to ensure that the US Dollar is never superseded. They have to keep making their enormous profits.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use your bitcoins to buy gas...get 25% discount on: August 21, 2015, 06:21:54 PM
I was having doubt about the reversiblity of the Shell gift card. Since the vast majority of people have a lot of FUD about Bitcoin, I can see a problem down the line.
753  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum wage. on: August 21, 2015, 06:11:49 PM
I've seen business managers fire employees due to labor costs or find other means to eliminate manual labor. As we move into the age of technology, things become easier and less expensive to do over time. Increasing the minimum wage is a real socialist thing that ensures money to the unskilled. With the way the economy is going these days, traditional minimum wage jobs in my mind are not the best way to get ahead. At the moment, working online here and there and finding the occasional high paying gig is how real money is made today.
754  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Receiving money from Brazilian Friend to Canada? on: August 21, 2015, 05:43:44 PM
Yes, there are a lot of governments who like the status quo and are doing everything they can to stop Bitcoin. If I were in your position, I would try localbitcoin.com but be careful. Try to find an exchange or individual who is trustworthy and of course use your basic instinct.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xt supporters are all frauds on: August 21, 2015, 05:36:52 PM
All of this talk about bitcoin collapsing is only really spreading FUD about the future of Bitcoin. Either there will be consensus on the new block size limit or there will be a hard fork and XT will eventually die off and the price of bitcoin could go back up. I am not a supporter of all of these prople pushing for bigger block sizes however since it is causing a fall in price.
756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if my account has positive trust is it value pushed up? on: August 21, 2015, 05:22:29 PM
does the admins dont have any problem with this account trades ?

its fine with them as far as i know.
regulating account trades will be more of a problem as sellers will find other ways to sell it whenever they get caught

People have been openly trading accounts for a long time. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0

One of the main reasons is to attempt ROI on a signature campaign. People buy accounts, enroll in a signature campaign and post to get their money back.

But as more and more people doing that the value of the account decreases, its just supply & demand.

If it continues, then it will push down sig campaign rewards aswell ,not only account value.
Exactly, which is why I probably won't buy another account or sell this one. Over time account values and sig campaigns earning will depreciate in value over time.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: August 21, 2015, 04:59:11 AM
well depending on how you play or gamble,, some only for fun and some for serious

both can be the same,,but for fixing your life, using gamble is a bad choice..because the outcome not fix,,sometimes loss and sometimes win
Gambling never fixes anyone's lives. People win big and become addicted to it, calling themselves "professional gamblers". In the end they are throwing a lot of their money away. The sooner you quit gambling the better. Finding real actual work is the right way to earn money.
758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: August 21, 2015, 04:54:58 AM
yes i did, but that btc gone on gambling.

I hate this moment but this moment make me more addicted

Best thing to to is not gamble any coins in the first place. The odds are not in your favor and if you win it is very seldom a very large prize. Gambling is a waste of time and money.
759  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is this possible with bitcoin right now? on: August 21, 2015, 04:07:08 AM
Yes the bvest way to avoid clogging the blockchain with dust payments you could implement a balance which could be stored in a database and from there you could link your users to balances in the database with a JOIN query. It should not be too hard to do.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Bitcoin birthday? on: August 21, 2015, 01:42:45 AM
I first started earning bitcoins in October 2014 from faucets. They did not pay a lot, but they were a good way to quicky earn a few bitcoins. I won't say it's the best way to earn coins but it is good for beginners.
