741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 16, 2023, 11:58:52 PM
I agree, it is better for Magsayo to be slick, and quick and must launch a scoring punch rather than a knock-out punch.  This way he can compete against Vargas in scoring.  Besides not putting much of force on the punches can render him more mobile and quick.  He should know when to launch heavy knockout punches and the scoring punches.  Sadly, Magsayo is all brawn and not using his brain during the fight against Vargas.

For sure Magsayo's camp is already aware of those problems. If ever given a chance again to face Vargas, those problems will surely be addressed. Let's also consider the fact that Magsayo isn't really outscored in the match as he won the one judge.

But before proceeding with that discussion related to the possible rematch of Vargas and Magsayo, he should win obviously first against Brandon Figueroa who is also considered by many analysts as a tough opponent even though he's new to the Featherweight and Magsayo will be his first challenge at that division.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 16, 2023, 11:57:34 PM
Yeah, most of the big men will be absent on the next window and that's why they even added Williams on the pool even if he's too old enough to be part of it.
I do agree that Mo is a good addition to be considered by them but maybe, they really have considered that but Mo or his management didn't agree with to their wishlist.

Kelly might have the advantage as he's playing for coach Chot that's why instead of Mo' coach Chot list him instead, not sure but I also agree that William's age might not be fit anymore with international games, it will be depend now with how coach Chot and the rest of the coaching group to execute the plays, let's hope for the best!
Oh, alright.
The Chot's list is there as he's still the one to coach the Gilas. But resorting to that idea, he knew that Kelly is already aged and looking at the line up of other teams.
Some from their roster might also be old enough but look at how massive those players are. No doubt with the experience of Kelly and his achievements but they should have chosen better and younger.
That's more ideal contributor to the team and more athletic but if there's no other option then Kelly fits in then.

That's the problem sometimes even in other countries. Since windows qualifying games usually can clash with the player's availability, there should already be a consideration on who's player will be put up. Those players are in the reserve pool.

But that's not a problem regardless if we don't have a complete lineup since we now have a sure slot on the global competition.

Not saying it's fine to lose but either Gilas will win or lose those 2 games here, the PH is already qualified for the World Cup.
743  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 16, 2023, 11:54:15 PM
Regardless of anything, maybe try to consider introducing that casino first to your locals or within your circle.

It will be difficult to just find an interested investor here for a gambling site, especially for a Brand New account.

Maybe from there, by marketing it in your local place, you can somehow lure those who are knowledgeable in that industry and the rest will be history.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 13, 2023, 11:59:12 PM
Yup, not the same with Ugas where Spence completely dominated the fight, unless Thurman is no longer the same I mean
if Thurman does not adjust with the way Spence will take him

But I'm also positive that Thurman will give Spence a fight that he aren't going to dictate the tempo or the direction.

It will be a tough one for Spence, an expected toe-to-toe encounter between these two great fighters.

Thurman doesn't have any capability to take down Spence at all costs. Aside from being an inactive boxer, he seems not that serious now about getting a title at least. Since he lost to Pacquaio, Thurman became a soft Thurman unlike when he was one of the dominant boxers in the Welterweight.

His return to ring against Barios after a long hiatus is not even showed his usual power. I like Thurman to win here but realistically speaking, he can't outclass Spence. Even most boxing analyst thinks that this fight is going to be a landslide win for Spence.

maybe that was like a tune-up fight for Thurman. but don't know if his fight with Spence will still push thru. thurman is about 34 yrs old so he has still few years that he can be active. but his next fight should not be years in the making. his promoter should find bigger fights in prep for possible spence match. his latest performance still needs improvement to get back to where he was in terms of power.

I like to agree with that, before taking Spence if there's still a chance it is better to have a fight with much heavier
opponent in preparation with the upcoming fight against Spence.

It will be better for Thurman to bring his old form before being beaten by Pacquiao, if he will enter the ring with that same
level it will be a tough fight for Spence.

Unless he's good for the money and no longer chasing for any potential title fight.

It will be hard for Keith Thurman to bring his old form since he remained inactive for a long after he was beaten by Pacquiao.

Yes, he returns to ring but again, remains inactive after that.

To fully back on his form, he needs at least 2 fights every year but unfortunately, lots of time is being wasted now as even in practice, he might not currently doing it regularly unless he has a scheduled fight.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 13, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
Take a casino owner who makes 100k per month and he spends 1% of that on gambling but only plays once a week. The guy is still fine if he sets this limit for himself and that's it. If someone is an excessive gambler, I don't know whether it is likely that that person runs successful casinos and has always been an excessive player. It could be the case, but I would imagine that people running successful businesses do have some self-control that might be stronger relative to another average person. There is also the difference that a casino owner's motivation for gambling might be different from that of an ordinary player. The intent might rather be to represent a casino on certain occasions or use one's own reputation (if there is any) to attract new players etc.

You have a point though. Not want to see a casino owner that is mostly do gambling as it might not bring good to its hold business.

These people who runs businesses might still do gambling but on moderately and being responsible.

Maybe just to kill the boredom and just want to have an entertainment as handling business is really sensitive and needs more time.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 13, 2023, 11:59:00 PM
it is a decision for Magsayo , like what most votes here now and I am sure that with his confidence and advantage he will get this title .
though Figueroa on the other hand is great boxer but this is not for him now , the Filipino Moxer has all the potential to partially take this win.

Just being a biased here that's why I'm in favor to Magsayo. But I consider Figueroa as a threat and not that easy to beat.

Both are eagerly want to become a champion and expects them to show all their best to be the interim champion.

Since Vargas lose recently against Foster, the winner of this match will have another challenge to think as they will have to go against Vargas to fully claimed the belt and being a champion.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 13, 2023, 11:58:55 PM
Didn't know that we can use an AI to predict the match. I am not sure how much they have improved the AI but I think at some point that it will be reliable, maybe we can get information in the AI and we can double analyze it to improve the first impression or idea from the AI.

We can't fully rely on the AI yet in my opinion.

Ai has been predicting the outcome of sporting events for a very long time now. I remember seeing these prediction come out whenever there's a big tournament like the champions league or world cup. The last world cup was predicted by an AI that Argentina were to lift the trophy and it ended up been so. Even though this prediction comes out positive, I can't fully put my trust on them as others have predicted wrongly in the past as well.

Then when it come to games that requires the players to be lucky that doesn't need specific factors to be put under considerations like how good the teams has been in the past or currently is, I don't think an AI can be more lucky than me as I'll always stick to myself and play the games.

AI predictions certainly are based from something, like the past history of the team or the athletes.
It depends on how it was coded to predict a certain event given all available resources.
The developer himself would know the capability of the AI as he knows what criteria has been integrated into it.
However, what it is missing is the actual scenario happening inside the field. It can't anticipate an injury or a sudden sickness of the player during the event.
Other possible factors that can influence the outcome are altering the coach's strategy, the athlete's line-up, heat and altitude and so on.
AI may give us their prediction but still, it is limited to what they have. One can match his personal prediction vs. AI, and see where it stands.

The technology used on that AI program is something into a highest level.

That's the reason it can give predictions and speculations close to being accurate because it has lots of sources used to form an analyis.

In gambling related, if it's used as reference, nothing wrong on doing that as long as not totally relying all our bets with it.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 13, 2023, 11:58:48 PM
I think it's really a nightmare match-up for Magsayo if he will rematch Vargas (assuming that he will win against Figueroa). Magsayo is not a technical fighter, and Vargas weakness is a fighter that is slick like Foster.

So he will have a lot of adjustments to make in order to win against Vargas.

Both could be motivated though, Vargas trying to bounce back from a lot, and then Magsayo avenging his defeat and the belt.

I don't think that Magsayo will have that feeling of being a nightmare when he faced again Vargas if he won first against Figueroa.

First, he already expected right from the start that if he wants to pursue again to get the title he previously had, one task is to beat Vargas.

I do think that Vargas still has the advantage over Magasayo but the way Vargas fought against Foster, he was just exposed to his weaknesses that might be used by Magsayo's camp as a reference on how to deal with Vargas. But for now, let's not talk about that first as Magsayo needs to win first over Figueroa.

Magsayo can use that information to prepare well if ever he will win his upcoming fight, it's true that Vargas don't have that huge advantage, Magsayo just need to focus in improving his stamina after that he will have that chance to beat Vargas in case they meet again, I like to see these possible rematch as we will see both power and both are willing to throw solid punches and ready to recieve as well.

Although Magsayo can't really used that information since Foster have a height and reach advantage, that's a good review tape to watch for him.

If we also remember, Magsayo is not that being dominated by Vargas on their first.

The result was split decision in favor to Vargas. Just a little bit of adjustment and Magsayo might pull an effective strategy to counter Vargas.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 13, 2023, 11:58:39 PM
I will debunked the idea of Sagip Kapamilya because they won't do it infront of many audiences.

Magnolia just did gave their best as that was a must win for them or else their standing will be more worst.

Hopefully, we don't see a game like that again. Let's move forward and forget what happened that night, for Ginebra fans.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 13, 2023, 11:57:34 PM
Case to case basis indeed. There are really some cases that illegal things can be happened because of gambling.

So far, since online gambling is now hype, gambling is more safer to me compare before when the only access is thru physical ones.

Above anything else, we just needs to stay safe as always.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 13, 2023, 11:56:35 PM
Time is running fast for Donaire, but we will have to wait when is this title eliminator between Gaballo vs Runvisai, it just says the fight will be held in US soil, but no definite date as of yet.

And after this, it might take another 3-4 months for Donaire to wait before the winner is again can fight.

So most probably at the end of the year or early next year, but it's going to be a long layoff for him.

As long as he will fight this year that matters.

But yes, time is running out for Donaire. If only Moloney didn't back out, Donaire had a chance to secure at least 2 fights this year.

What happened already happened and we just need to wait.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 12, 2023, 11:59:34 PM
I do not think Vargas will stay in super featherweight, unless he has a rematch clause in his fight against Foster.  I also think that he will go back to Featherweight division to defend his title.  So we might hearing a news soon about Vargas defending his belt to the winner of Figueroa - Magsayo fight.

Even with a rematch clause, that fight between Vargas and Foster is not even close.

Vargas is truly dominated by Foster at most rounds and not even a competitive fight. The scorecards will tell how Vargas becomes an underdog where in fact he's the Favorite to win. Maybe Vargas overthinks too much and believes he can do whatever he thinks.

He will go back to Featherweight after that loss and that's for sure. He will face the winner between Magsayo and Figueroa.

754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 12, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
But not all people are the same as us and can control our emotions; there are gamblers who have difficulty controlling their emotions, which results in addictions. That is why others tend to seek help or take some medicines just to make themselves calm. It is like us, we don't have anxiety, and others do, which they always advise them not to think of, but it is difficult. That is why there are experts on it to help them, but the problem is that a lot of addicted people won't do it because they don't recognize themselves as addicted to it.

That's the reality and there are really people who can't avoid that addiction.

But actually, addiction is just fine if these people are still responsible outside their gambling life. I mean, even though they are addicted to gambling, it's important that they still have proper and stable financial management and still do their obligations to pay their regular bills or provide support to their family.

Sometimes, addiction can even lead to a better responsible gambler as long as they are able to control it along the way.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 12, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
I don't know the certainty of this but most likely I don't think so.
The conditions are like you said about the other disclosures and in the country I live in now there is a very big cigarette factory but the owner even hates cigarettes.
Things like this can still happen for gambling. They do business in gambling does not mean they have to plunge into gambling and do gambling all day long. Moreover, they know that gambling is not something that can be profitable for businessmen like them because regardless of anything they are managers and the ones who get the most profit for what they do gambling again for reasons of fun they are not gambling anymore I think.

There are owners too that can't associate their entertainment part to the business part most of the time. There are lots of things on their hand that they can't do now the usual things they are doing before. Since handling any business requires hands-on, might be these owners can't find a way now to do gambling or they are just doing that during their free-time.

Either way, even they still do gamble or not, that was only for entertainment purposes.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 12, 2023, 11:58:57 PM
Inoue is taking a risk, there is little doubt in my mind this is the case, and we have a very recent example with Canelo, Canelo has a huge punching power on his division, but as soon as he moved up and fought against Bivol his punching power became trivial and Bivol dominated him clearly, now I think of Inoue as a better fighter than Canelo so it is likely he can overcome this, so it is a risk to fight a champion right away but even then I still think he can win.

Inoue taking a risk? Fulton is even the underdog in this match. Inoue can surely handle Fulton. That Canelo's case is different from Inoue's today, Canelo is pushing for a big difference in the environment when he chooses to fight Dmitry Bivol. Just wait and see how Inoue will beat Fulton and unify all other belts at the Super Bantamweight division.

As we speaks, Inoue as a challenger is still the Favorite to win the match.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 11, 2023, 11:14:50 PM
And there are even some fights that is already listed on the sports books even if the fight is still under discussion and is not yet official. Has everyone noticed that? When that happens, it makes me think that there's some inside news that only these bookies know because why would they publish it in a much early stage when the fight is still under discussion.

I second this. It can be mostly found in fiat sportsbooks I believed as I also encounters some before.

And guess what, some of those fights where there is no official announcement even have a date of the fight lol.

Not tried yet betting on those but just wondering if the bet will push through even if there's no made official announcement yet on that specific fight.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 11, 2023, 11:07:55 PM
I remember the national TV show, which interviewed several big businessmen in my country. and one of them, is a successful businessman a well-known cigarette boss. in short, he said, even though he owns a cigarette business. but that does not mean, he is also a smoker.

I will implement it on the owner of the casino betting platform. even though the platform casino owner is engaged in the gambling industry, it does not mean that the owner is fond of gambling. after all, without having to bet on gambling, they have beaten many gamblers who play on their casino platforms. even so, do not rule out, that the owner also likes betting. but the fact is, we never know for sure. if they were, at least they would be betting on another casino platform or ideally betting on a land based casino.

A nice point. After all, we can assume that these casino owners maybe also own several businesses and investments that make them really busy that even a small time of gambling can't be done. Referring to your shared story, that's true that a businessman can't be assumed right away that their business is also their usual activity but rather only focus on managing it.

The same goes for casinos that their owners might be an owner of other industries as well not related to gambling.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 11, 2023, 10:56:33 PM
There's a good chance that neither one of them is willing to take the jump or put their belts on the line as in the first place, a rivalry was never established between these two boxers and that means a money fight is somehow impossible too.

As far as I know, if Rey Vargas will won his upcoming match against Foster, he will stay in that division I believed.

Magsayo, on the other hand, if won against Figueroa, will do several mandatory title defenses first before considering moving up.

I agree though, there's no rivalry between Mark Magsayo and Rey Vargas and neither one of them is calling each other that's why the possible rematch between them can happen if the situation will make it happen.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 11, 2023, 10:50:02 PM
Compared to Nonito Donaire, Jason Moloney is still green behind the ears and it will definitely show in the fight.

Jason Moloney's camp maybe feels that their boxer can't match with Nonito Donaire that's why I think it's not just about political wars between their promoters that can be pointed out as a reason for this failed negotiation. Been reading some comments about these fights in an international forum and the majority there think that Donaire is still one of the most dangerous bantamweight boxers regardless of his age and can handle Moloney without a big problem.

Nonito Donaire Jr. is the only one who gives Naoya Inoue the biggest challenge in the monster's career that's why handling Moloney should not be a big task for him. Unfortunately, this match won't happen now and we won't be able to by now if Donaire can still a threat to bantawmeight.
