7401  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: getting in to set s5 on: June 17, 2016, 02:56:05 AM
Does anyone know a default password if you dont know the password to get into a s5 miner? root, root doesnt work. Thanks

It should be root/root so you'll have to reset the device or ask the guy you bought it from the password.

To reset:

There is a ‘Reset’ button on the right hand side of the Ethernet port, next to the green and red
LED light, press and hold the button for 5 seconds in order to restore to the default settings and
reboot. The red LED will flash once every 15 seconds automatically if the reset is operated
successfully

Good luck
7402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Newtimers, how does this rally make you feel? on: June 17, 2016, 02:41:04 AM
I had always hoped we would see a more stable value with a steady rise but it doesn't seem to be the case.  Holding is difficult when the value spikes like this especially with the uncertainty surrounding the halving on the horizon.  I made my first BTC purchase in order to buy a BFL 50 miner.  The morning my cash deposit appeared in the trading account, the price started upward from ~$75 per coin and I chased it for a couple of bids but never caught it (I had no idea how it worked at first).  I gave up trying at ~$120 and I think it hit $250 that morning and right back down to $90 by the same afternoon.  I ended up buying that evening and sending the coin to BFL (that turned out to my second worst use of bitcoin - almost a total loss).

This rally makes me feel like selling it all and picking it up again when it tanks... but will it?

so many Muslim bitcoiner are there. i am also a Muslim. i have so many Muslim friends who have invested a lot of their money in bitcoin.
as long as you use bitcoin, do you feel that the trade bitcoin has been away from the religious rules? What do you think?

I do not feel that the trade bitcoin does not deviate religious rules, which may be an issue is the legality of the bitcoin in their respective countries.

People cares about religion when they have deal with money? I am so confused, for me money is much higher than religion cause i am not a typical fanatic who blindly following others.

Except when it comes to using money.

I can see how to order a shirt by size and color but I can't seem to find a code to use to pick the design.  Clicking through the site, leads me to "under construction" pages... any tips?

I'm sure there are many people dying to see what you have in mind.  Are you going to start a new thread or can you post the pitch here?
7406  Economy / Goods / Re: What would you REALLY want to purchase from Canada? on: June 15, 2016, 07:11:46 PM
Having lived in Canada, I tend to take uniquely Canadian foods for granted.  My uncle would make it a point to have us get him a flat of butter tarts to take back to the US with him any time he visited.  Also, west coast smoked salmon is delicious.
Properly packaged in foil, it can be shipped anywhere.  Butter tarts are difficult to ship as the filling can be slightly runny.
Granny's any Flamingo are two brands of butter tarts that come to mind.
Nanaimo bars are another Canadian treat.  I don't even know what's in them but they are addictive. I think they have to be kept refridgerated though...

How are you going to get the bad guys to turn up for the filming?  Is this going to be a reality show with actors portraying the bad guys?
This show would not be complete without a total prick like Inaba and yet I wouldn't really like to see his life enriched any further by anyone even remotely connected to bitcoin.
7408  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can someone help me please on: June 15, 2016, 02:45:41 AM
I see he hasn't logged in since June 2nd and I wonder if he ever got control of his coins.  Considering the run-up in value of late, he has a considerable amount of money tied up in these inaccessible coins.  Was anyone ever in touch with him via e-mail?

Yes ! When everything is ok I let you know, but it may take 1 month lol !

Isn't it a way to download the blocks from somewhere else than the wallet which is slow ?

How about an update?  Is the program still running? Can you see any progress?
7410  Economy / Reputation / Re: andreld abusing trust on: June 14, 2016, 03:08:42 AM
I'm not sure there's anything you can do about it.  It doesn't show up anyway if that's any consolation.

edit: okay, if I view untrusted feedback I can see the overkill.  You might be able to complain to the mods because he's spamming your trust ratings.

Bees!

I hate Bees and i admit i would cry like a little girl if a Bee lands on me.  A Bee is my Kryptonite and they are more scary to me than looking down the barrel of a loaded gun.

Do you have a deadly allergy to bees?  Do you carry an Epipen?

I am Allergic to them and i Do not Carry an Epipen. The fear does not come from the allergic reaction though....The mere sight of a Bee Drives a fear inside of me more Horrific than anything i can imagine.

I'm not sure of what causes the Paralyzing fear inside of me with such a tiny thing but as i said i fear a bee more than a loaded gun pointed at me.

I have Experienced both i choose the gun again instead of the Bee.

You've had a loaded gun pointed at you?  Wow.  I can't believe you would choose that over the bee.  That is a very serious aversion.
Have you seen a psychologist about it?

Yes i have. I've written and posted the story on here.  Seen a Psychologist about the gun or the Bees?  The gun incident no Psychologist can help with ....It's Growing up poor and in bad neighborhoods eventually you will see or be a part of violence.....The Bees? no Matter what a person says to me they can't ever remove the Fear that that nasty little insect drives into me.

Do you have a link to it or a keyword that would help my search?  I'm interested to read your story.

It'll be predominated based in Nashville, TN, with participates spanning the globe (or flat Earth, depending on how you roll).

Not a good idea to hold it in the states.  You'd be dealing with backward measurements that most people in the world couldn't understand.

If the US wants to hold international events, they really should go metric with the rest of the world.   Undecided

We use both measurements here in the states since most everything is Made in China. I hate Chinese slave made garbage and would rather deal with American made but unfortunately it's life.   I'm not sure a reality show involving Crypto or BTC would be popular enough to survive.

Where have you been?  Bitcoin and Altcoins are merely a side-show here at Bitcointalk.org!  However you measure it, there is plenty to entertain the masses... er... weights.

7416  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do I make money with $100 USD BTC on: June 12, 2016, 03:24:03 PM
Buy one bitcoin today and sell it tomorrow.  Easy $100.

Well this is really true, we don't know that you can earn instant $100 with just 1 day, just like what I'm not expecting.
Upon checking yesterday the price is $579 and now the price jumps to $639 so instant profit.

Instant profit is not without risk.  Be careful!

11 character, case correct address.  nuff said.
Is it yours? It's been in active use since 2013, with high amounts of money going through.

Pretty sure it is, I saw it associated with a cowbay address too.

edit: maybe he can sign a message?

I feel flattered Cheesy
You could have just said "yes" but this is a very convincing signature. Nice address!
Did you search for a long dictionary list, or just for this one in particular?

Well, I for one refuse to have my curiosity satisfied in this manner so I'm not even going to check the validity of the signature.  Now how are you going to convince me Mr. cowbay?  The only other way that comes to mind is sending a predetermined amount of coins from that address to one of mine Wink  1Coin4MeMUq1zsKHKWyXGdKxNPP5snHoEy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1507890.new
The only problem was that it doesn't show the images, only the link, if you tell me how to fix this i will do it! Smiley Good Luck!

Says not available or off limits to me !

That's odd, it seems to have been deleted.  Anyway, newbies can't display images in their posts which is why they don't show.
