i searched so hard within your posts, found nothing that deserves any merit, only 1 fine post that has a valid point which i gave you a merit for.

Ugh.  Now we will have everyone posting their woes here.  :/

i am willing to merit Newbies for even semi-good posts so that they stop whining about the merit system.

without naming any countries, this image has the wrongest information for 2018, now that the year is over , i will give the award for the silliest least accurate image on the internet.

7405  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I'm having trouble understanding market makers actions. on: January 11, 2019, 12:09:24 AM

this could be anything, but from a TA point of view, there are levels where prices are almost quartered guaranteed to pass if they go to.

looking at charts , you can spot some numbers that are more like a "free zone" where price never retraces from.

they are rare and only after having spent so much time trading you can spot them.

for example assuming the level from 3505 to 3515 never had any price action, and the price is at 3500 the scalpers knows/think that once it hits 3505 it's most likely going to 3515 before going any where else.

so buy order at 3505 - sell order at 3515.

these are mostly bots work, hard to be done by humans on such a scale.

also keep in mind that many times the order book is just fake and misleading.
7406  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: EU Mining Farm under costruction on: January 10, 2019, 11:46:12 PM
Right, even if costs in our "business" is not all (security, air filters, company reliability...)
Anyway we plan a go to the market from 0,12€/Kwh for "little" miners to 0,09€/Kwh for "professional miners". VAT/Assistance/Installation/Everything else included.
What do you think?

there is probably not a single miner that is profitable with these power rates, you might argue that this is only a temporary situation due to the bear market, bet rest assure the mining game has changed FOREVER, china has an average rate of 3-5 cents, the US has a rate of 5-7 cents , many other countries like Goergia and some Arab countries have cheaper rates than china, the mining industry will always be "fully-occupied" by those players, if crypto prices go on a rally that allows such high rates like yours to be profitable, it will be only a matter of "short-period" before those players load up on their hash power to beat you out of business again.

the best mining investement would be to find a cheap power source somewhere in a trusted place and host your machines there, also giving the labor cost + wiring + maintenance cost in EU zone makes it even harder for you to mine there.

not trying to let you down, just preparing you for a big fail, and hopping you will re-think your investment, because really, this mining business has became something like oil, medicine or weapon business,  where only the strong can do it with profit.

i searched so hard within your posts, found nothing that deserves any merit, only 1 fine post that has a valid point which i gave you a merit for.

now you are no longer a newbie, and you did the impossible,so stop whining and so stop shit-posting on the shittiest board "ALT" , go to the technical boards, learn more about bitcoin and participate at the right places, always try to be a constructive poster. i got almost 200 merits in like a month or two. nothing is impossible you just need to post good quality posts.

Good luck
7408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to assign Public IP to BAIKAL A2000 on: January 10, 2019, 10:58:54 PM
you can not assign a public IP to your miner.

the public ip is assigned to your router.

what you need to do is this.

1- give your miner a static local ip (192.168.x.x)
2- go to your router setting
3- look for something that says "port forwarding" * we don't know your router model, so just google it or browse until you find it
4-forward a port to that static ip you gave to your miner, for example be it port 8080
5- access the miner from anywhere by tying your public ip address:port

for example say your public ip is 85.150.123.39 then on the browser you will type

Code:
85.150.123.39:8080

note* if you only type

Code:
85.150.123.39

it will assume port 80 , which will be blocked by your router unless configured else wise, if you want to access the miner by only typing the public ip without any port then forward to port 80 but it's not recommended.

also make sure you change your miner default logins as you are now exposed to the outside word that is full of risk.
7409  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Ethereum Anti-ASIC fork, is it the right time for bitcoin too? on: January 10, 2019, 10:30:20 PM
I do not agree with people saying ASICs are a threat for x coin, it's not true. the actual treat is the control of hashing power regardless of where it comes from.

if we fork against ASICs those with access to enough GPUs will still be a  treat to the blockchain , if we fork against GPUs, same thing applies to CPU, if we fork away from CPU those with most pens and papers + brain will be the new treat.

pos does not offer a much different protection against "power control"

7410  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 10:16:06 PM
Correct me if I am wrong here fellas, but if everyone creates their own custom trust lists Default Trust will have little to no meaning....

not true, most members use default trust setting, the majority of members who will now switch from dt list to custom list are those who are trying to "vote" or "be on DT". as for the majority of members will always be too lazy to create their own custom trust list.

also a lot of people who use custom list still have default trust on their list.
7411  Other / Meta / Re: Trolling let's define it here and also vote on if it should be given RED TRUST on: January 10, 2019, 08:05:57 PM
cryptohunter, you are not a troll , your ways of communicating with others are not polite enough IMO.

I voted  "no", i do not think you deserve a tag for being a troll or annoying or an accuser, but you also can't get away with your behavior of simply treating people with only 2 perspective of whether you are on my side or on the "gang's" side.

I encourage the DT members to remove their tags on you, and give you one more chance to debate/protest with better manners.

7412  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 07:57:39 PM
These new DT changes are putting the forum on fire, Meta and Reputation are about to explode.

DT members kindly don't over-use your power to tag people you dislike, try to accept criticism and be willing to change your decision when needed.

Members , kindly ! if you are tagged for something "unreasonable" , PM the DT member FIRST and try to settle the issue before making new topic.

People , let us calm our tits "my favorite Vod's avatar goes here"  and make use of this new update to have a better trust system.

7413  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer Monitor on: January 10, 2019, 06:45:35 PM
first of all i would imagine the guy does not have managed switch, depending on the "routers" he has, using a class B might slow down the network.

using your example

10.1.5.11

let's assume 10 = country 1 = state = 5 = city  11 = house

using a class B means every packet has to broadcast to

city> house

this increases traffic and creates longer routing tables.

using a class C means every packet has to be broadcast to

> house only.

going from city to home is not as bad as i might have described  it, it could be too "irrelevant" to consider, I have seen many networks drop in performance after migrating from class C to class B without a the proper setup.

these problems are solved using actual routers that are capable of VLAN flags for example, they sort of "memorize" every "home" location so they don't actually have to search through "city" for every traffic , but i am pretty certain this is not the case with the OP network.

in theory , there is nothing wrong with using a whole school bus to send 1 kid to school, it will still get him there, the better question is "why" not "why not".

your suggestion is in fact a brilliant one for a quick-work around , but it's just not the best , given the fact that he can simply switch from
router<>router<>router > large subnet
to bridge>router>bridge > small subnet.
7414  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 09:01:17 PM

if you remove the tag now "only after his tag started to show on your profile" then indeed it will be questionable, you tagged him for "scamming" based on your feedback, so it's either you falsely accused him , or if your accusation was right then it's wrong to remove it now just for the purpose of "cleaning" your trust.

I am not against "settlements" , everyone who tagged someone should allow some flexibility, specially for the "unclear" cases like the own bidding situation you tagged Anduck for, but this has to apply for everyone not just new DT members with new power !

it's surprising that  some people are now asking you to remove the tag, but never did before "Anduck" became a DT member, so you are right when you tag a non-DT member but not so right when you tag a DT member?

I am afraid this new update will fail big time as some DT members will be afraid to tag other DT members or "potentially" coming DT members just to save themselves from being removed from DT.

this is not related to you "Vod" and "Anduck" it just a general assumption of a potential shitty scenario where some DT members might look the other way only to stay on DT.

7415  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer Monitor on: January 09, 2019, 08:29:34 PM
The 192.169 sounds strange, but in case you meant 192.168.* ALL you have to do is change your network mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.0.0

why use a class B that can accommodate 65000 hosts when you only need a few ips ? this is a very lazy workaround, putting a small subnets into a large subnet is not the best thing to do, he is better of using a single router and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
7416  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:43:45 PM
Sweet, there goes my account.

All it takes is some unhinged ramblings from Timelord2067. Wink

I can see the intent behind this, but I'm definitely feeling screwed over by bullshit feedback.

I hope that current DT members look into these feedbacks and fix them, either by countering them or by asking the DT member who gave the negative trust  to remove it "if it's a false accusation with no solid proof"or by untrusting / tagging him as a last resort.

i don't see that  happening too fast and easy, but the current system kind of allow current DT members to tweak the list , i hope it gets used for a good purpose to defend the innocent and punish the guilty.
7417  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:03:03 PM
This change may affect how those negatives are viewed and countered. I'm guessing that more passive-aggressive countering (via exclusions) will be possible so anyone with a lemon fetish will probably not last long.

could be even worse now, what if someone  had a counter feedback and then the DT who gave him the negative trust is no longer a DT  " next month" that person will be left with only positive DT trust, same goes the other way around.

it will be a lot of work of removing counter trust.

i am willing to bet the horse that a mess of "complains" on Meta and Reputation is coming up real soon.
7418  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 06:50:03 PM
i would still suggest a set of rules regarding the use of the trust system, specially the negative trust, some people are tagged for silly reasons or without a reference, with the new update of the DT list it's even more important now to agree on some rules that will some how regulate the trust system so people don't get tagged for using the word "lemon".

I know this could be hard to implement, but i think it's essential, for those who trade on the forum with an account that took years to build, getting a negative trust for saying something a DT member does not like is differently unfair.

again i can't forget to thank you for the all the efforts. Thanks for trying to improve the forum continuously.
7419  Economy / Reputation / Re: cryptohunter's problem with the top 200 merit receivers on: January 08, 2019, 07:47:54 PM

so you went from long posts to long blue posts. not bad for a change.

7420  Other / Meta / Re: sell me one medal on: January 08, 2019, 07:35:08 PM
you can't be "a some virgin". if you can buy and sell entire accounts, why can't you buy partial ranks?

you can buy someone's whole house but you can't buy only the bathroom.
