7401  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors dumping gold-switching to bitcoin? on: February 15, 2017, 02:52:49 PM
I guess if investors have started to diversify and buy bitcoin on a large scale that means the price of bitcoin will be going up. Lets hope for the best.

I don't think so because bitcoin still has a little problem with the government permission. and it was preventing a lot of the investors to buy bitcoin on a large scale.

Wait until the bitcoin will get approval and BOOM!
7402  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: February 15, 2017, 02:43:21 PM
I'm hoping the price could continue to rise.
Yeah for surely the price of bitcoin will always increase soon based on his halving on every 4 years and with the massive adoption and especially the permission by the financial constitution and it will make bitcoin really big in the future and we will be the millionaire.  Cheesy
7403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherum Price not affected by etherum Projects? on: February 14, 2017, 01:54:50 PM
The token has built on the ethereum platform will never give anything to the ethereum itself, and the ethereum has depended on the ethereum development itself.

The development just give an impact to the price of ethereum itself.
7404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: February 14, 2017, 01:34:13 PM
Good move iconomi, glad to see this decision to prevent the FUDERS. Do you wanna make a blog post about how the measure to investing on the santiment?

Interesting to read your article.
7405  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: February 14, 2017, 01:23:59 PM
I can see paper money being replaced by a digital currency, but I think governments will just use their current currencies in digital form. We already transfer money digitally through credit cards, etc. Bitcoin can still exist and could even be used behind the scenes for money transfer.
The probability to be happen is big. If paper money is no longer used, then I am sure the government will create a currency that they can control. but I prefer to use a currency that can not be created at will, the currency that was obtained from the mine was better.
than your favorite currency must be bitcoin. because it cannot be controlled by anyone, in bitcoin you are your own boss and you can do whatever you want to do with your bitcoin. no one will ask you for any thing, any identity or any proof,. I think it will effect paper money in future,
But I must be a realistic person dude, my environment wasn't familiar with bitcoin. although the bitcoin is my favourite alternate currency but in my daily life fiat currency is still the number one.

But if the bitcoin will be familiar on my environment and i ready for that. All of the advantages has offered by bitcoin is really good.
7406  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be our new world currency? on: February 14, 2017, 01:10:23 PM
i hope that bitcoin will be our new world currency but it need more time before its happen and from now on, USD Dollar will still in the lead because USD is always in the top currency in the world. i think bitcoin have the potential to be the next new world currency because bitcon have many benefits that could help us to solve the economic problems.

It maybe or maybe not to be happen. Which will depend on the community if this thing will be grant to fulfill, though Bitcoin has a huge potential to be like that. But still this was only a speculation for now.
already expected if SEC will be approving bitcoin ETF and the multibillions-dollar will be coming on the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin still has big potential, more adoption and more power will have reached by bitcoin.
Never doubt about the potentially of bitcoin everytime
7407  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is no longer a currency on: February 14, 2017, 01:04:19 PM
Bitcoin was never a currency, most of people use bitcoin as an alternate and anonymous payment method without higher transaction fees while others used bitcoin as an investment.A currency is backed by bank or solid collateral but with bitcoin there is nothing like this.
Alternate currency, it's the right name for bitcoin at this time but it will grow become the main currency(digital). I can't call it a currency because based on bitcoin is not have a physical form. But every time the definition of the currency always changes.
7408  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: February 13, 2017, 03:50:26 PM
With inflation becoming a major concern all over the world, Bitcoin will just go higher and higher.
Indian, venezuela, both was adopting bitcoin caused by the economics problems. and it can pull the adoption of bitcoin and the increased price at the same time and I think a lot of the inflation will be happening asap because I was determining from the global economics.
7409  Economy / Economics / Re: Better adoption through use of mBTC on: February 13, 2017, 03:48:11 PM
Do you know that bitcoin is limited by 21 million number?
In the case of mass adoption bitcoin will have to be shared on mBTC or even for satoshies to be enough to everyone to use. But for that bitcoin will have to cost a lot. And only rich people will have capital in bitcoins, and others use only satoshies.
Bitcoin will never reach 21 million of their supply and it's mean the supply will less than the final accumulation by the maker of bitcoin. mbtc is really difficult to say. bitcoin is better to say than mbtc.

7410  Economy / Economics / Re: In which country is capitalism better implemented? on: February 13, 2017, 03:42:32 PM
Capitalism's about the personal interests. And every country has different capitalism. IMO The western capitalism is different with the middle eastern countries.
In the middle eastern countries, it seems more to be authoritarian.
7411  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: February 13, 2017, 03:31:27 PM
I think you should choose Bitcoin because of the No or low fees per transactions, it is easily accessible and that's what makes some of us feel that we have our own banks on the desktop. It is very important to also note that Bitcoin is secured and offer quicker secured transactions worldwide and makes nonsense of fiat remittances. This and others makes me opt for Bitcoin over the others.
But according to the previous experience with bitcoin but the increase fees on bitcoin is unpredictable. But I still consider it include the cheap fees. Well, bitcoin is not 100% secured but it's just give more privacy for the users of bitcoin itself. not preventing from the fraudsters.
7412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum conference in Paris on: February 11, 2017, 09:09:44 AM
Any developers here who are updated on all things in the cryptosphere still think Ethereum is a good platform to make dapps and smart contracts? All of them look like the founders created their own sand boxes to play in that produced and will produce nothing.

I speculate Ethereum will die once QTUM goes online. There is a reason team QTUM have made their platform compatible with Ethereum and Solidity. QTUM is POS and they will release it before Casper is implemented in Ehtereum.

Here is the kicker. Bo Shen of Fenbushi capital where Vitalik is also a general partner is heavily invested in QTUM. This makes me think that Vitalik has a hidden stake in there too which the Ethereum supporters does not have to know about.

This is not the first time I will here this theory you painted above, I was told that Ethereum foundation is heavily invested in Qtum project and if this is true, I foresee the beginning of the end for Ethereum platform
That's why patrick is including on the edcon conference in paris. and it's making a simple conclusion if the ether platform is having a relationship with qtum project. you can see there are some CEO from the new altcoin project based on the ethereum platform. This will probably give a lot of clues for us.
7413  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC price should have risen after China froze exchanges on: February 11, 2017, 08:59:35 AM
You can still get money out of those exchanges by selling your BTC. Who wouldn't do that just in case? And there certainly won't be as many buyers as there once were on there.

Ah. That makes sense. I didn't know they could sell the BTC.

OkCoin & Huobi are now freezing withdrawal as well. This is not good news for the bitcoin community.

But they still running the exchange for well and i didn't thought if the PBOC's act was disturbing bitcoin at least it just give a little correction for the price of bitcoin and in this time the bitcoin is showing to us about its potential.
7414  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: February 11, 2017, 08:56:22 AM
Yeah thats right. We can  freely use bitcoins for any purpose. Its easy to buy things from one part of the world to another part because of bitcoins. Thanks to its less transaction charge campared to paypal and other banking procedures.Instant transfer also.Since its anonymous nobody is going to know where we send the money or other details. Its really a wonderfull currency and its not possible for any governments to regulate it . Even if they ban using bitcoins , they cannot find out who all are acually using it. It really gives us freedom to use money.

Yes, you are right, Bitcoin gives us freedom. Thanks Bitcoins we got rid of the high commissions. It only remains to wait until it can be used to purchase any goods or services
If you search online then you will find a number of goods and service available with bitcoin. Now you do not need to spend fiat on much of the goods and  services required for your life but you can get it with freedom with bitcoin. Even you can shop at amazon with your bitcoin payment.
I know, many people are still dependent on the fiat to shop. but it will not give you the freedom of the transaction, try to use bitcoin to shop, then will you get the real freedom
I can still use my bitcoin to shop in some store are accepting bitcoin as their payment. but it's not about purchasing anything. The freedom has offered by bitcoin like the freedom to manage your money. and there is no financial institution or the government authorities to managing your money.
7415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Melonport on: February 11, 2017, 07:10:44 AM

At the rate of 5 CHF that means they are looking to raise around $2.5 million for the first ICO and the development team would keep 250,000 tokens. I don't think this is fair distribution, I would pass this one, if the price dump I would get into it

There's a total of 1.25M tokens. Iconomi has a market cap of 38M. If Melon matches that market cap, each token is worth $30.
But I don't see about the early price for the crowdsale. Interesting to see mela el isa and gavin wood on the Edcon conference in Paris. This is will be next big soon.

http://edcon.io/ To meet the crowdsale price at the begin of the project in the marketplace and they must sell all of the token shares.  Cheesy
7416  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: February 10, 2017, 09:05:25 AM
For me it depends on the amount of bitcoins I will transact if it is a high amount like more than 0.02 then I will not care for the amount of fees and  will prefer for 0.0004 or more as are suggestible by blockchain automatically but if it is smaller amount for recharging my mobile then I will like to use xapo without fees transaction.

These days, I have had to pay as much as 0.0005BTC as normal fee to have my transaction processed without much delay and they actually got processed in no time. However am concerned this preferential treat would do Bitcoin more harm than good as it might escalate to the highest bidders taking over the network.

Because the bitcoin network isn't have an high traffic, and it back to the normal condition and probably just put 30k sathosi for your transaction and it means make your transaction in the high priority.
If the network is smoothly and every transaction will running for well without any delay.
7417  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: February 10, 2017, 08:58:53 AM

No, if it will go on more than two-year and I guess it's just a speculation and you do not know about it in the future.

I'll never try to take a high risk for my money. For entirely I will stay away. It's so terrible to put some of my money in there and looks like i just try to give a free loan for the scammer.
7418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Melonport [MLN] Blockchain Software for Asset Management on: February 10, 2017, 08:41:33 AM
Hi Dev or everyone, how much total tokens of Melonport will be created?

This isn't an official thread. Look at this link which I had posted above:

https://www.reddit.com/r/melonproject/comments/5ok42j/melonport_contribution_vs_inflation/

the are up for bitcoin and eth so why are they not here in the forum? one reason that i can think of is that they don't want to be accused of scam which most of us will really think they are for not going here. having no thread here in bitcointalk is somewhat better because researchers uses the threads for reference. even coinmarketcap link them to thier list of coins.
Too many trolls in here, at least gavin has backed the project and I think it isn't possible for the project to be as a scam project.
They may make an announcement thread in here after their crowdfunding is already finished. But not for this time. i'll keep my eyes on there.
7419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Melonport on: February 10, 2017, 08:37:23 AM
IIRC this is suppose to be a competitor to Iconomi, correct? Just a general statement, not saying its purpose is that.

Yes it is, Melon port and taas will be the competitor of iconomi

Does Iconomi let anyone set up a porfolio with whatever assets they want, or are the iconomi portfolios all centrally run by the iconomi team?
It's really clear, fella. It is the main target of iconomi platform but in this time they're on the middle way of their journey. So melon is also really promising for me.

ICONOMI OPEN FUND MANAGEMENT (OFM) PLATFORM is the final stage of ICONOMI. The OFM platform will enable everyone to introduce and manage their own crypto investment funds and attract investors who share the same investing philosophy. While the OFM platform will be open to everyone, the integrity of the platform will be safeguarded by ICONOMI with a comprehensive system of checks & balances.
https://ico.iconomi.net/faq

I agree. I think both have a lot of potential and each has a separate niche.
But i was feeling curious about his crowdfunding. does melon port using the fixed rate for his crowdsale? but i can say if the other like taas don't make me feeling interesting with it. I really like gavin wood on the melonport.  Grin
7420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Litecoin have a future? on: February 09, 2017, 12:01:21 PM
http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Lite coin will be trying the game changer through the fake SegWit's hype, or it will be the another fail. We will see it ASAP, but the current result still on 3.05% for SegWit supporters and does it mean good for litecoin bagholders? I don't think so.   Kiss
