No one is selling for 2-3 LOL. I'm selling for 1.1.
That was not aimed at you dogie! However, it only 1.1 based on the theoretical overclock speed. You should price on guaranteed stock speed. At 85 Gigahash, X 1.1 would be 93.5 BTC and X 1.8 would be 153 BTC. I believe you are asking 120 BTC which would be 120/85 = 1.41 BTC per Ghz which is a likely loss. I think 1 BTC per GHZ is about where breakeven with +/- depending on wattage cost. Now, if you pre-overclocked it, flashed the firmware, gave the appropriate cooling solution for it to be stable at the OC'd speed - then you could claim to be selling at 1.1 Show me a B2/B3 that can't run at 105+.

Yeah, would have John K. hold, get a tracking # and if there were any serious problems with the unit (like he send a shipment of bricks), I would video myself opening the box as proof to send to John K for any disputes.
... I am asking HIM if he accepts escrow. Aren't you selling 5 Avalons? I am a broker, yes.

This thread is a joke.
tldr: I've been paid to say these people are legitimate, so they're legitimate.
actually, it's the other way around. You paid them? no. i made a determination that they are legitimate. once they figured out i was a supporter, was going to buy machines and who i was, they offered to make me a paid sponsor. sorta like how Lebron James sponsors Coke ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) i guess he drinks it, right? i have no problems supporting causes i truly believe in I'm paid to support. Fixed. And if you want anyone to take you seriously, announce your contract, remuneration and terms surround your 'support'.

did u replace the top led fan with something else? or was it part of batch 2?
anyway so how was the results for the tape mod u did? any improvements in noise or temps?
i'm getting some akasa noisemats soon.
Its a B3 but physically B2. Top fan is important to prevent back flow. Hard to quantify the improvement as my units are almost always on lowest fan RPMs. Temps are +23 and +25 over ambient.

So, is there any planned legal action against them? Advertising a product for a release date but being delayed significantly without adequate information should be enough grounds for someone to take them to court, both the Asic customers and batch 3 customers.
Monetary damages would be due to the product being extremely time sensitive, just like a high frequency trading company ordering some very high end equipment from company A but due to delays the equipment was too slow relative to other companies equipment, and HFT being extremely dependent on being first results in both the equipment losing value and company losing money for the duration the equipment was not used.
Lol? There is no contracted delivery date. You purchased preorders with an estimated shipping time.

V2 mod to create wind tunnel. Should be no wasted air now [ignore 4th module area, have one incoming so not taped it yet]. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.ctrlv.in%2Fimg%2F520335b675e8f.jpg&t=663&c=upnENhqBlFRdLg)

Well this is not reassuring at all. All 5 of mine make a ticking noise. And it sounds kind of similar, but hard to tell. I've inspected all of them and found nothing odd. Nothing visually wrong, no odors or anything. I am going to keep an eye on them, but even the ones that were assembled by Avalon with PSUs do it so I'm still thinking it's normal.
What mhz you running at for the ones with Avalon provided with PSUs? I only have 3-module batch 2 styles that came with PSUs, and those are all at 350 too. I would be scared to run the batch 3s at 350 with the PSUs they shipped with, but I know you have with good results. I would by lying if I said I wasn't worried about them, but yes they have been running fine. I am going to try and get approval from the investors in my group buy to get some quality PSUs. The thing is.. the ROI is so slim, that buying new PSUs might kill any profit that is left. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Decisions, decisions.. Nothing wrong with the stock PSUs. Power problems will be visible by instability. If the PSU dies, it dies - but its not dead yet.

So in retrospective, for those of us looking on what NOT to do and prevent accidents, why did this happen? That power supply should have handled current perfectly. Did you do custom cabling or what? I thought Avalon provided with proper cables. I still don't understand why this happened.... He ONLY installed the 24pin mainboard connector.

Paid last night, Erik sent tracking info today; FedEx 2 day AM shipping. I'll have something come Friday afternoon, whether it's an Avalon or a 40-pound brick I don't know. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Condoms full of water are cheaper than bricks.
