0.47BTC H-Card, time to buy ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This...the price drop is appreciated. Cheaper (by about a third) than AntMiner, and more power-efficient. you still running bfgminer? Yes. I've pulled updates a few times since first setting it up; it says it's now at 3.8.1. It also has a Klondike K16 slaved off it in addition to a couple of Jalapeņos. is it stable?

I'm wondering if the guy who mentioned Bitcoin on today's podcast is a member of this board?
For those who have no clue what I'm talking about, The Adam Carolla Show is a popular daily comedy podcast. They interview Hollywood type guests and discuss daily news topics around the world. It's one of the most downloaded (if not the most) podcasts on iTunes. It also holds the Guinness world record for the most downloaded podcast.
Today's episode had a caller inquiring whether Adam would accept Bitcoin donations to support the (free) show. Adam asked what it was and the caller gave a brief description. Adam's response was basically "sure we'll accept it". He seemed fond of the fact there are no transaction fees.
Great job to whomever was able to get on his show and talk about Bitcoin. He has a very large audience and owns a network of podcasts covering many different subjects and reaching many audiences. All of his podcasts are free and are supported by donations as well as advertisments. He also has a good presence in TV media. Hopefully he sets up a wallet and starts talking up Bitcoin.
I just did a search and found the caller on Twitter! https://twitter.com/CoinHeavy/statuses/421131503003652097And Adam responded to the tweet. https://twitter.com/adamcarolla/statuses/421153204261249025search terms?

They just had to get this bit in didn't they? For now, Bitcoin is little more than a marketing fad, an ideological metaphor, and a sandbox for speculators. Why do they always resort to this whenever Bitcoin proves them wrong? What's going to happen when the price stops being as volatile or becomes more predictable in it's movements? that's easy. they'll just say it's not a good investment.

Well, comments in the chrome store talk about "open source" - so where's the code + license at?
I hope it does not use 3rd party sites like blockchain.info to get information about accounts etc.
so this means we have to have a filled blockchain.info wallet for this to work?

IMHO getting more nodes would have been easier if BTC transaction fees were randomly given to nodes as an incentive to setup...instead of being additional income for those who already got the full block discovery award.
no, that wouldn't work b/c miner's have to be given a financial incentive to cement blocks into the chain once block rewards have been phased out. you can't give away the tx fees to full nodes just b/c they're relaying tx's; these fees have to be given to those who do the POW, ie, miners.

i've not run into that. what is secure printing?
If you print on a modern printer with a hard drive, it will save a copy of everything you print that can later be stolen when the printer is sold. So secure print gives you a code to hand write on the page you print out -- both are needed to unlock the wallet. interesting. didn't know printers had a hard drive that could store a privkey. always thought this problem was isolated to the printing drum. what do you mean by "both are needed"? what's the use of printing anything out if you're going to handwrite out the chain code and seed anyways?
