7441  Economy / Speculation / Re: back to 220 tomorrow time to sell is now on: June 22, 2015, 12:38:24 PM
the dead cat seems to be so energetic lately, it looks like it likes jumping more. i have been waiting for sub $220 but it never came to pass. i think there are some lost opportunities for some.
7442  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Greece leaves Euro - effect on BTC? on: June 22, 2015, 12:36:13 PM
if Greece decides on leaving the Euro behind , i think it might have small effect or near none effect on bitcoin's price. but the dollar will be effected obviously by this.
7443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any possibility to hit the BTC price @ $16666.66 ? on: June 22, 2015, 12:32:50 PM
i think if the price has the potential to go as high as $16,000 per BTC then somewhere near 20 years later is a much reasonable time to get there. although i think it is not likely that we can see that day, but still nobody believed that bitcoin can go higher that one dollar once.
7444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: June 22, 2015, 12:07:05 PM
as for me the best way to earn bitcoin is selling my service on internet and get paid with bitcoin, thats the only my best way Cheesy
So what service do you sell on the internet? Also, what service would you recommend to the average person? I've seen places such as fiverr and stuff like that. Is it similar?
maybe he means working for the signature campaign and advertising for them as a service he offers.
but if you are looking for something you need to look at yourself and see what skills you can offer, like if you have programming skills or can work with graphical design software. or can you do website designing.
7445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: June 22, 2015, 11:57:44 AM
Hi guys! Grin
I saved some money in the last year, now I'm looking for some opportunity in this kind of market to invest my money. Is it better buy altcoins or bitcoin? maybe mining? I'm just a bit confused, but determinate!
In my opinion this price level and maybe a little lower is the best time for buying bitcoin for everyone who wants to join in the rise. i suggest you do some research and then buy bitcoin.
and for altcoins, just learn trading and trade altcoin, never buy and hold.

Agree. I don't know i believe next year the price will rise significant Grin although i'm not really sure will go to the moon(like in the end of 2013).
Mining altcoin is not bad too, just search for low diff and high price in market.

~iki
yeah, next year is going to be a good year for bitcion price in my opinion. because of the current fixed price and the amount that accumulators accumulated and also because of the bitcoin block reward halving that is going to happen in 2016.
7446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: June 22, 2015, 11:49:43 AM
just a couple of points:
  • you can not expect to get much profit out of $5
  • never trust anyone who tells you, double your coins here
  • in other words don't invest in ponzies
  • i see that some users suggested that you buy .... coin, these things are sometimes good advice BUT not always. trading altcoins is a nice way to profit but don't enter altcoin trading if you don't know how things work. it is not easy and has high risks
7447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Legality or Illegality of using other peoples computer to mine coins on: June 22, 2015, 11:44:32 AM
it is definitely against the law to use your visitors computing power without their knowledge. you have to at least tell your website's visitor in a warning that you are doing that. like the one that pops up on some websites to let you know they are using cookies.

head over to the services section of the forum, you can find it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

7449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: June 22, 2015, 11:36:48 AM
forget about mining bitcoin on your personal computer completely. it is no longer good because of the difficulty and you always have to consider the electricity costs.
you might have a good chance of mining altcoins. but you have to find a good one, preferably new and what has a low difficulty to mine.

7451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canadian Government Decides -- Bitcoin is Hands Off -- No Real Regulation on: June 22, 2015, 11:14:38 AM

7453  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting bitcoin json data on: June 22, 2015, 06:36:43 AM
Hi, my first post here. I'm new to bitcoin and I wanted to create a program which shows bitcoin data. I want to show the current price of the bitcoin , and also the feed to develop the bitcoin globe like https://blockchain.info/nodes-globe?series=topBlockRelay . I wanted to ask if there is any source I that can give me these feeds preferably in JSON.
I'll appreciate if someone can help me with this.
Thanks very much
if you plan to make your program public and open source i am interested in it. i would like an application with the ability to show my addresses balances and bitcion price from different sources.
7454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbed of BTC at gunpoint -- a real concern? on: June 20, 2015, 02:57:41 PM
Something that bothers me is how some people who have bitcoin like to announce it to the world and how much they have. I don't go around announcing how much money I have to spend. In any case, it's all a matter of common sense and being careful.
in this case, which i think happened a couple of weeks ago, the guy wanted to sell his bitcoins to a stranger who he met oncraigslist. and that stranger turned out to be two armed robbers who stole his coin.
7455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: June 20, 2015, 02:51:55 PM
Assuming most of us have been honest, the prevailing mode of use of Bitcoin nowadays are long-term investment
it totally depends on what you want to believe. if you belong to the group that thinks bitcoin price is going to skyrocket in a couple of years, then what you said is correct. keeping bitcoin for long term is the best investment option now.
7456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what features you want in bitcoin ?? on: June 20, 2015, 02:49:21 PM

-Simple transaction with NFC
-ATM bitcoin around the world
-International Govermant accept Bitcoin
 Wink

also i hope that transaction confirmation times get closer to immediate confirmation.
7457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does "Satoshi" remain anonymous? on: June 20, 2015, 02:44:48 PM
he is staying anonymous just to make a great number of people search for him. Cheesy
just look at how many topics are on satoshi's real identity and how many people are discussing this matter.
7458  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: June 20, 2015, 12:37:03 PM
That is exactly what I think too. The more use of Bitcoin the more must the price be decline because shops / merchants usually exchange Bitcoin directly to fiat and this causes a bigger supply.

the more bitcoin usage means the more people are buying bitcoin in the first place to spend it in shops / merchants. then it doesn't matter that if they dump afterwards or not.
7459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Potencial Bussiness In Bitcointalk.org on: June 19, 2015, 03:15:14 PM
i think both lending and becoming an escrow are good options but for both of them you will need some trust buildup. besides i fell like forum has enough of both of them.
you can sell goods on the forum though. if you can i think selling stuff is a good business and it will build up your trust too.
7460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin wallet lifetime ? on: June 19, 2015, 03:10:21 PM
hello,

I like to know where I can create a secure bitcoin wallet where I can keep my bitcoins for years, when I see websites that offer bitcoin wallet, I fear that one day the site no longer exists, and I lose all my bitcoins.

thanks.
the important question is how much bitcoin you have and what do you want to do with them?
for small amounts and if you want to spend/use them, you can use an online wallet or mobile wallet.
for big amounts and if you want to invest and keep your coins for longer term, use cold wallets, paper wallets.

if you want to use an online wallet, there are two kind the ones that give you your private keys like blockchain.info this way if the site goes down you have access to your bitcoin
and the kind that don't like Xapo, if the site goes down your coins go down with it,
