7481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I ID'd the Darkside address, ransom transaction and custodial exchange on: June 09, 2021, 03:27:46 PM
According to ErgoBTC exchange that was used is Gemini, not Binance and they posted all addresses and links on OXT browser.
My question is why would federal agents post addresses with xxxxx if everyone knows that nothing is hidden like that, like they did it on purpose.
Everything about this story stinks, centralized service theory is not true for sure, and even private key ownership is not very likely but it is still possible if you look at balance and IP address used on Electrum server.
Don't trust anything you hear from government, federal agents and mainstream media.

7482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 09, 2021, 02:07:17 PM
Are you sure that every other country will behave same like El Salvador did?
I am not sure in anything but what I can see is that other countries from South America like Panama, Brasil, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Mexico, are following exactly what El Salvador did, and more countries from other parts of the world will follow.
People don't understand that global adoption doesn't mean that you will be able to buy coffee or beer with Bitcoin, but you will use as back up especially when current fiat currencies crash and burn in near future.

There's a difference between adopting Bitcoin and legalizing it. Yes, you can make it legal to use Bitcoin, but will there be places to use it, you know like... locally? It could surely provide a great way to purchase from the other side of the Earth, but locally, it'd be better to use your nation currency. It's faster, it costs less to make a transaction, you don't have to dedicate some hundreds of hours understanding how it works and it'd be better for you to spend it now, rather than keep it.
Better ask Venezuela, Nigeria and other countries that had hyperinflation can they buy something with their local currencies, they are faster and you can use them to warm up if you are freezing in winter.
Bitcoin will never be used as main currency in any country, just like you are not using gold or silver to buy anything (you could do it unofficially) but they still value more than fiat and paper money.
7483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin be traded in all countries in 2025? on: June 09, 2021, 01:57:28 PM
Bitcoin is already traded p2p in every country of the world despite all the bans and regulations governments and dictators have, but my prediction is that most country will adopt Bitcoin the same way like they adopted gold.
By 2025 Bitcoin will probably be used as backup for main currencies and it would be much easier and faster to trade with Bitcoin than it is with gold.
People need to realize that nobody can stop them if they want to separate money from state and use Bitcoin for that.
7484  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone doing affiliate for hardware wallet on: June 09, 2021, 12:18:11 PM
If you already own a hardware wallet it would be a good idea to add honest review for that wallet with affiliate link, but don't just shill it like some prefect device.
Write about positive and negative sides for specific wallet and teach your readers How to buy a Hardware Wallet the right way.
I don't have any website or blog for this purpose but I know several people who are doing this on their youtube videos all the time.
7485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI says it recovered $2 million in Bitcoin Ransomware payment... How? on: June 08, 2021, 12:49:21 PM
Look at the facts and the bigger picture, then investigate what is happening with Bitcoin following @ErgoBTC tweets and transactions on OXT explorer.
Gemini exchange was used and not Coinbase like it was claimed before, but this looks very much like a inside job or they hired some hackers for this job, and at least there are lot of unexplained things around this topic.
Several days ago they claimed how FBI seized some server that was hired by hackers, and only question I have now is what new hack are we going to see in next few weeks... resulting in less privacy and more regulations for regular people.

https://twitter.com/ErgoBTC/status/1402070662756421632

Its negligent just to act if nothing has happened.
I never said nothing is happened, something is obviously happening in front of our eyes but not what majority of people thinks.

7487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Carbon Tax Help Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2021, 09:32:08 AM
Would a universally imposed carbon tax (on all Green House Gas generating activities) be good for Bitcoin?

I think that if we all stop breathing process that is producing Co2 it will help some very rich individuals who are proposing crazy things like global carbon taxes, and this will not help Bitcoin in any way.
Not to mention that all plants need Co2 to live, so maybe solution is to plant more trees instead of creating more dystopian taxes to make rich richer and other people slaves.
Separating from current countries and creating new free states like Liberland and using Bitcoin would be great.
7488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI says it recovered $2 million in Bitcoin Ransomware payment... How? on: June 08, 2021, 09:16:50 AM
edit 2 - or, they intentionally lied in the affidavit about having the private key, and used the warrant to force a certain exchange to make the transfer. I'm not even sure if there's a point in doing this - maybe they wanted us to believe they cracked the encryption?

All this cyber attack story is fake coordinated shit and I don't trust anything I hear from government sources and mainstream media anymore.
This must be some very stupid russian hackers or very stupid federal agents, and both of them don't know how to use tor, vpn and non-custodial wallets.
Someone may wonder why would they do something like this, how about more regulations, reducing privacy and total control of everything we are doing online and offline.
Don't trust this and any other future ''Cyber Attacks'' you hear on news, and investigate for yourself.

That's probably what happened. The hackers needed to launder their bitcoins and they somehow got scammed by the FBI.
C'mon man... be serious and ask yourself how would they know everything in advance if they were not involved in this scheme.
This hackers sure likes to hack things Oil and Meat industry, probably Coal will be next on their list and I wonder why...  Roll Eyes
7489  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How come major exchanges have not yet adopted the lightning network? on: June 08, 2021, 08:46:14 AM
I think there are already some big exchanges that support Lightning Network like  Bitfinex, Bitstamp, OKCoin and Kraken exchange said they will integrate LN later this year.

More exchanges will probably follow soon, but Lightning Network is not nearly as popular as main chain, despite the fact that stats is showing that usage is growing all the time, it is still to complicated for average users.
Problem is that most of this centralized exchanges will ask for mandatory kyc and track everything you do with all transactions.

7492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 07, 2021, 05:38:34 PM
It is unlikely that we will ever wait for the global adoption of cryptocurrency by states and their bodies.
You can see what happened with El Salvador could happen with many more countries around the world, and there is nothing ridiculous about that adoption, but Bitcoin is all about separation of money from state.
Why not having more than one currency in country and you let the citizens decide what they want to use legaly, not charging them ridiculously high taxes like now.
Let's see what country will accept Bitcoin as legal tender next and then we can talk more about global adoption.
7493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 07, 2021, 03:50:39 PM
Here comes the answer from Unites States as Trump just announced that Bitcoin is a scam, but this looks to me like someone is afraid that other countries may start to do the same as El Salvador.
Russia already removed dollar for all trading, and I am expecting that many other smaller countries will follow example of El Salvador accepting Bitcoin as legal tender and backup currency.
If something like this continue to happen it would be totally unstoppable, and no politician would be able to stop Bitcoin with false claims that it's a scam, because there is no bigger monetary scam than dollar now.
We surely don't need central global government to survive and prosper with Bitcoin.
7494  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Restoring Electrum wallet with hardware device on: June 07, 2021, 03:39:43 PM
I did not know that wallet name is important, do i do something wrong? or it is the way it works with Electrum, and i have to not only write down my seed but also a wallet names?
Have you used passphrase when you created Trezor account and what address format you used bc1 or starting with number 3?
You need to have same account installed on Trezor when you are connecting it with Electrum wallet.

So it looks like along with the seed we need to write down and keep Electrum wallet names too?
I am sure that is not true, and you can even create multiple wallets in Electrum that are connected with same Trezor hardware wallet, name them all differently and all of them will load normally.
You also don't need to have the same account name in Trezor and file in electrum wallet, and just to make sure this is true I renamed electrum file with random characters to test it.
I was able to load everything without any issue.
7495  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: June 07, 2021, 01:13:25 PM

7496  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: AirGap wallet- Self custody made simple and secure - Protect your crypto offline on: June 07, 2021, 11:17:03 AM
Yes, you should be able to recover your funds with other wallets as long it supports a 24-word seed phrase. (I think electrum uses something different, I'm not sure though).
So please tell us what exactly BIP standard you are using and what are default derivation paths for Bitcoin generated by Airgap wallet?
7497  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger wallet help please on: June 06, 2021, 03:35:38 PM
Will they still be able to use the seed words in another wallet with the same derivation path, even if they also used a password?
Or will they need to remember the password too?
There is a difference between password and passphrase in Ledger wallet.
Password or PIN is stored on device and it is used the moment you turn on your device and connect it to computer, and passphrase is used as 25th word for your seed words and it is connected with your PIN.
Ledger made this even more complicated then it should be, but losing passphrase you are actually losing access to your coins.
7498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2021: Ross Ulbricht Talks Bitcoin and Freedom on: June 06, 2021, 03:22:33 PM
Amazing speech by Ross Ulbricht and if you listened carefully you cold notice that he repeated one phrase several times - I want to you to understand what it means to lose your freedom.
Ross is just an example but we are all in danger of losing our freedom, maybe not in real cage like him but certainly in some digital cage, because we are giving away our freedom and privacy ourselves by trusting governments.
We see what government system did to Ross, but many people are still trusting that same system that is sponsored by big tech, banks and mentally retarded rich individuals.
If you are part of this corrupt system you can do anything you like, steal, kill, rape and you will never go in prison if you stay loyal to the system, but if you are not a part of it you can go to jail for making a website or speaking the truth.
#FreeRoss.
7499  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for a capital gains tax increase (US) on: June 06, 2021, 02:24:32 PM
Anarcho-capitalism probably can't be achieved unless/until at least 20% of the population has some understanding of it and believes that it could work and be an improvement. So it's not happening anytime soon.
I think most of the people on earth today don't really know what they want, but we should at least come to the stage when 20% percent of people know exactly what they don't want, by not repeating past mistakes.
The more time goes more I think we are sliding in some dystopian future but I am hoping there we be some split and people will have to choose to stay and live in totalitarian global dictatorship or outside in some anarcho-capitalist and other type of communities.

The economy contracted in 2020 via artificial means (lockdowns) by too much, and there is too much pent-up consumer demand (due in part to direct stimulus payments, and enhanced unemployment benefits payments) to expect a recession in the immediate or near term. The US may see a recession in the medium term resulting from stagflation, and crazy economic policies implemented by the Biden administration.
Anyone who checked official inflation stats could see how they are rigging the numbers to make them look better, so they say inflation is only one or two percent but in reality look at the prices for
Steel +145%, Lumber +126%, Oil +80%, Corn +69%, Coffee +34%, Wheat +25%...
Artificial global lockdowns destroyed everything and they are the last nails in this global reset coffin, but hey at least we can blame it all on corona and save the earth from carbon we breath out and produce all the time.

Oh look who is back in forum again with his new account... always Anti and against things he don't understand, I guess you love working for government.

Fiat money doesn’t exist, or how Government tells lies to people, and Bitcoin is Antithesis to Fiat monetary system.
