Challenge accepted! I bet there is a vast majority of coins not even bothering fake commits to signal some kind of activity on their github!

Right.. Coins that dont simply aren't being updated. But I'm just saying that github activity isn't necessarily an indicator of development. You can make documentation edits or purposeless one line changes in code and register it as a commit. It does at least mean that they are paying attention, so that's something.
7524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 26, 2019, 11:27:59 AM
It would be nice to compare this to actual github activity of other shitcoins. There, you would notice how much effort is put on maintaining the leadership in the realm of crypto currencies.

This may not come as a surprise but that factor is also already being manipulated by coins that want it to appear that they have a whole lot of development going on.
7525  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, trading trust on: May 26, 2019, 10:46:03 AM
The evidence you bring here are convincing but i know that I'll do the same (share eth adress f.e) if I would bring here my very close friend.

Well you can do that if you want but you and your friend are going to accused of cheating bounties if you apply for the same bounty.
7526  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, account hacking on: May 26, 2019, 06:50:11 AM
I don't know why we never wrote posts in the same second. If we do then you say this is proof that this is my alt also. How can I defend myself here?

I didn't mean the same second. I mean you don't really have overlapping time periods between your posts, unless its when both accounts are responding to each other. I don't care enough to do anything about it one way or the other, because you could be correct.

Lol, who's there? A legendary member or an account buyer who don't know the forum rules?
Account ban for bounty abuse?
Legendary, sounds funny.

Right, I forgot, usually one account is banned for plagiarism and then the other gets associated through bounty information and banned for ban evasion. Smarmy prick.
7527  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, account hacking on: May 26, 2019, 06:39:07 AM
Well in this case why don't you ever post at the same time?...

Please give me a break.

Sure, I won't hound you on it any further, but just FYI, if one or both of your accounts were banned for bounty abuse, and you came to Meta with these excuses, nobody would believe you.
7528  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, account hacking on: May 26, 2019, 06:28:27 AM
If you read my post you will see that sometimes he is with a laptop in my home and we are browsing together or next door.

This proves nothing and I don't have to disclose in each discussion that he is my friend because is an anonymous forum. PERIOD.

Well in this case why don't you ever post at the same time? The only time there's less than a half hour gap between your posts is when you are replying to yourself each other.
7529  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, account hacking on: May 26, 2019, 06:00:48 AM

He doesn't have Telegram at all and that is why he used my nick. I didn't know about this but is this against forum rules?

Hmm that's weird. He has access to the forum, and his "own account," but not his own Telegram? Telegram is incredibly easy to install and set up, whether you have a PC or mobile device.

After this post, I checked latest @Crypto Mania writings to find more proves and here is his last post in which he says that he doesn't have Telegram at all.

Then why would he put yours down in a bounty registration? That's what alt accounts do.

After reading through your post history, I notice the two accounts are never online at the same time, unless they are talking to each other. There's not much overlap in account activity except for the they are responding to each other. For example:

6/23/18 – 6/26/18: both have a gap in posting
6/26 2:36 AM – 5:18 AM: wwzsocki
6/26 7:55 AM – 5:19 PM: crypto mania
6/26 5:35 PM – 6/27 4:33 AM: wwzsocki
6/27 6:54 AM: crypto mania
6/27 6:10 PM – 6/28 3:50 PM: wwzsocki
6/28 3:59 PM – 8:29 PM: crypto mania
6/28 9:02 PM – 6/29 7:10 AM: wwzsocki
6/29 5:54 PM: crypto mania
6/30 12:13 AM – 8:32 AM: wwzsocki
6/30 6:51 PM – 7/1 12:14 AM: crypto mania
7/1 2:02 AM: wwzsocki (replies to crypto mania)
7/1 2:41 AM: crypto mania
7/1 5:21 AM – 7:53 PM: wwzsocki

In addition, both accounts tend to comment in the same threads, about the same projects, and have extremely similar viewpoints about everything crypto related. They even use the same phrases:

This is just great news!!! They are testing the bridge using random users and ask for feedback on Twitter. As for now, nobody reported any problems so we can see this implementation go live any second.

This is just great news to share in last hours of ICO. I don't know any other program which started cards pre-order so fast and Investa team says that this card will be fully functional in few weeks.

So quiet here, no updates, no conversations. Already death project? Will be nice if anybody from the team will explain current situation.

Is this project already death?? There is no update from weeks and the page isn't working since then.

A few days ago, a shocking article by Jason Bloomberg appeared in the Forbes magazine entitled "Is Rippel to scam?", In which the author proves that Rippel (XRP) is simply a scam.

The author thoroughly analyzed Rippel's business model and came to the shocking conclusion that it is simply a typical "scam" and "pump and dump".

I was very interested in this article because Rippel (XRP) and its protocol have long been not liked in the crypto world. Criticized many times by the community for not meeting any standards of cryptocurrency.

Yes, let's talk about this infamous Rippel because this can be a crypto saver.

Each one of these bits of information on its own isn't enough to warrant suspicion but when you add all the examples together, its pretty compelling argument that you are behind both accounts.

My American Beer of choice.

Interesting... Can't say I've ever tried it but I do appreciate the regular Sam Adams.

I also like Blue Moon as far as American beers go (I mean large-scale beers... There's a billion better microbrews I'm sure).

If somebody had to ask me what my favorite beer was, I'd have to say Guinness, because I went to Ireland when I was 18 and got to try one at the main brewery in Dublin. Nowadays they make me a bit bloaty but I will forever cherish them in the way that I cherish Pink Floyd... I don't listen to their music anymore but because of my emotional attachment to them I have to say they are my favorite band.

With BTC wait 3 confirms to be assumed safe.
With BCH wait 6 confirms to be assumed safe.

Any reorg higher than those #s,
then double spends could occur, and then you have the panic, anything below those #s, and no one really cares.

There's a reason why with BTC its 3 and BCH its 6, you forgot to mention that part...

The reason is the same for both,
that is the recommend confirmations from the developers for assumed safe transactions.   Smiley

Feel free to outline a post why there is a difference in the numbers of confirmations required by the developers.

"The reason is the same for both" doesn't even make sense as an answer.

But to give you an outline, it has to do with hash rate. It means that a BCH transaction is much more vulnerable at 3 confirmations than BTC.

Update:

Time series plots:

Interesting... It would seem that sMerit expenditures have stabilized, or are even increasing. I know that theymos added a few merit sources recently... probably won't add any more for a while now.

imho 95% of very early buyers of btc don΄t own a large btc stash anymore.

-lost/destroyed hardware
-lost private keys
-spent for pizza or other stuff
-got hacked
-some bad trades
-going full retard as "daytrader"
-sold because it finally went over $10
-lost btc on mtgox and other exchanges
-bought shitcoins
-fell for scams
-invested in butterfly labs or other vaporware
-believed the bcash lies
-believed in the ETH flippening
-etc, etc

you are still early. mass adoption not here yet. if you manage to hodl a few whole btc you are going to be allright.rich.

man i can checkoff 8 items on that list.

Was the pizza good at least?

tldr: tx was added manually by slush and bet was end of day local time not 24 hours. if i got it right.

I thought that might be the case, or that it was RBF and accelerated... They shouldn't have intervened really. I received a tx the other day with a 0.78 sat/byte fee and it took about 18 hours to confirm.

The Dude doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would ever switch up his beer. Maybe they didn't have Oat Sodas at such a fancy looking place. I also don't think whatserface would order a beer either. She looks more like a mild cocktail drinker.

The entire commercial almost threw me into a disgusted, outraged state, over the absurdity of the entire production.

 Carrie drinks Cosmos.
 The Dude drinks White Russians.
 End of discussion.

On a personal note, I'm pained by Jeff Bridges and Horseface (less so) whoring themselves out for a fucking beer commercial.

"I like money" from "Idiocracy" immediately springs to mind.

 Whatever.

I know... The whole commercial was a giant letdown. So much build-up for so much disappointment.

Idiocracy was an amazing film (premise-wise) and may still be a foretelling of things to come. One of my favorite Terry Crews roles. He's great in a lot of films.

Hello OP.

There are so many of these created every day. Someone is really trying hard to spread malware/virus with fake wallets. There are a few Fake ONLINE-LEAGUE already created and deleted.

Check this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5143710.0

Morvillz7z and I are posting there instead of creating a new thread every time. We are tagging and reporting them, and moderators are doing a good job deleting them.

Got it, will do.

You can save readers a few steps by just posting the Medium article:

https://medium.com/@cipherblade/how-not-to-react-when-your-cryptocurrency-is-stolen-92f7c72616af

It spends too much time talking about the behavior of the victim, which isn't necessarily relevant, though the article does provide some blockchain forensics to show that the coins may have been taken through malware. How do we know the malware doesn't exploit the bug identified by Al Maawali and patched immediately after by Coinomi? Were there apparent hackings conducted after the bug was fixed? The article doesn't mention this.

While it sounds like malware was likely involved, there could still have been an oversight error on the part of Coinomi.

Not surprised. It read like a load of shit to me. As if there's someone in the bowels of google rubbing their hands as they wait for the seeds to roll in. Gimme a bleedin' break.

I agree that the chances of Google being in on it are slim to nonexistent.

Name of Project: ONLINE-LEAGUE [OLC]
Promoter: ONLINE LEAGUE COIN
Archived Thread: https://archive.is/NYaxl

Why its a scam: Virused wallet client. (VirusTotal results)

This is the filthiest wallet client I've ever scanned:

I wanted to know what the heck a "Pony Stealer" was so I looked it up.

https://www.knowbe4.com/pony-stealer

Quote
Pony Stealer is a password stealer that can decrypt or unlock passwords for over 110 different applications including VPN, FTP, email, instant messaging, web browsers and much more.  Pony Stealer is very dangerous and once it infects a PC it will turn the device into a botnet, allowing it to use the PCs it infects to infect other PCs.

By doing a quick Google search of some of the ANN text I can see they've put up and taken down an ANN for this "coin" several times already -- 13 times to be exact.

Its likely they'll try it again under a different account name so be on the lookout for a similar-sound account/project name.
