Right.. Coins that dont simply aren't being updated. But I'm just saying that github activity isn't necessarily an indicator of development. You can make documentation edits or purposeless one line changes in code and register it as a commit. It does at least mean that they are paying attention, so that's something.

This may not come as a surprise but that factor is also already being manipulated by coins that want it to appear that they have a whole lot of development going on.

After reading through your post history, I notice the two accounts are never online at the same time, unless they are talking to each other. There's not much overlap in account activity except for the they are responding to each other. For example:

Each one of these bits of information on its own isn't enough to warrant suspicion but when you add all the examples together, its pretty compelling argument that you are behind both accounts.

If somebody had to ask me what my favorite beer was, I'd have to say Guinness, because I went to Ireland when I was 18 and got to try one at the main brewery in Dublin. It spends too much time talking about the behavior of the victim, which isn't necessarily relevant, though the article does provide some blockchain forensics to show that the coins may have been taken through malware. How do we know the malware doesn't exploit the bug identified by Al Maawali and patched immediately after by Coinomi? Were there apparent hackings conducted after the bug was fixed? The article doesn't mention this.

While it sounds like malware was likely involved, there could still have been an oversight error on the part of Coinomi.


I agree that the chances of Google being in on it are slim to nonexistent.

By doing a quick Google search of some of the ANN text I can see they've put up and taken down an ANN for this "coin" several times already -- 13 times to be exact.

Its likely they'll try it again under a different account name so be on the lookout for a similar-sound account/project name.
