7541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I want to use mobile data for Bitcoin related web pages on: September 20, 2018, 08:34:36 PM
I agree with Lucius any routers can be possible to crack and brute force. There is some software called WIBR and WIfi BRuteforce which can be used for cracking wifi password. Here, in our area, there are many IT Students that I think they're trying to crack our wifi password by using this tool because I noticed that there were a few unknown IPs in my wifi status page. Which I think there were people who have hacked my wifi. So, I decided to hide my wifi or SSID. It helps a lot to me because no one can find my wifi unless if they are asking to connect their mobile phone to my wifi.

By hiding SSID you can increase your network privacy and protect your devices from remote access and keyloggers. Combination of Lucius suggestion and VPN with hidden SSID your wifi will be safe, protected and secured. So you don't need to switch on mobile data.
7542  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 FW with voltage/fan/frequency control on: September 20, 2018, 07:45:35 PM
Yeah, thats why I am asking. In the meanwhile I also have units, that show normal temps when using fixed freq. fw. So its a bit strange. Thats why I thought of maybe wrong readings.
What do I check in the kernel log?

I think the readings from other firmware is PCB temp while the other firmware is for chip temps which should be different.

You can check the logs by searching local temp and middle temp result.

7543  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how much is ethereum.* domain is sold for ? on: September 19, 2018, 11:44:22 PM
I think not just domain extensions are important but also age, SEO rankings (including backlinks), and authority of the domain are extremely important to calculate how much you can sell your domain.
There are some website that you can use to estimate how much you can sell your domain from here https://www.freevaluator.com/ and here https://www.siteprice.org/
7544  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 FW with voltage/fan/frequency control on: September 19, 2018, 11:14:53 PM
82°C-95°C I think just fine for Antminer devices.. Don't be afraid like that, this devices can handling with max. 125 °C.so I wrote to Bitmain and they said me this.

80c above is fine, but not so good and if you can decrease the temps below 80°C your miner can live longer than the higher temps.

I think the miner s9 will automatically shut down when overheating or the temps reach 115°C if you force the miner to the higher setup your hashboards will die fast. So, keep the temps lower than 80°C if you want the miner to live long.
7545  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Antminer S9] System Upgrade Failed - cp write error on: September 19, 2018, 10:46:45 PM
It looks like the program is fully corrupted that is why upgrading doesn't work.

Did you try to use s9_fix_upgrade.tar.gz to flash your miner? If not try to flash it using this fix-upgrade, then upgrade it with factory firmware then fully reset the miner to factory default.

Here's the new antminer s9 fix upgrade link https://file11.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/s9_fix_upgrade.tar.gz
7546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a required amount before you start trading? on: September 10, 2018, 11:24:14 PM
I advise you to deposit a small amount for trading and learn how daily trading works or for long-term trading because if you invest with huge amount without trading experience you can lose it all. So, if you start at low you can lessen the risk of losing a large amount of money in trading. Start at small then learn the basic (buy low and sell high) until you know how the market works. After you gain some trading experience, you can use them in your future trading then increase your trading funds slowly to maximize your trading profit.
7547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips How to Make Money with Bitcoin on: September 10, 2018, 10:09:56 PM
Do you know other ways? If yes post in the forum.
This is not the only list if where you can earn bitcoin. There are many ways that you can make bitcoins here or from outside the forum.

The other one is CPA (Cost Per Action) and make bitcoin by getting leads. There are some network that offers bitcoin as payment, check these 2 thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1811251.0 and this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=790216.0

The other network is Peerfly they are also paying bitcoin as payment, but this one has a higher rate than the other network.

You can also earn bitcoin by captcha typing there is some website that offering this task and pay for bitcoin.

The rate is cheaper, but if you can solve captcha faster you can earn more bitcoins here.
7548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: making bitcoin the main job !!?? on: September 09, 2018, 11:45:18 PM
What are you talking about? The man who told you are playing on facebook and twitter then win then a prize? Never heard that when you post here in the forum then play a game on facebook and twitter you can win a prize that you can exchange for money. Maybe you are talking about bounty hunter?

You can earn bitcoin from bounty hunting, but it is not enough to live if you have a family.

Anyway, you can check this 2 thread from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0 and this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0
7549  Economy / Speculation / Re: when will you learn price is not related to news on: September 09, 2018, 11:19:36 PM
Well, I agree that the news doesn't affect too much in the bitcoin price like what happens these days. Honestly, I was looking for the latest news days ago after the price suddenly drops. However, no latest news that can give you accurate reasons and almost all articles are related on speculation why the price was dropped in just one day. So, I guess the reason behind the price dropped is that there is a huge group of whales that I think who sold a large number of bitcoins. So, I agree with your opinion too about manipulation.
7550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino game gives you the best odds of winning? on: September 09, 2018, 10:40:20 PM
Honestly, I played roulette before, but it's hard to win in this game.

You can try the poker game because it depends on your skills if you can win the game or not.

Black Jack is great and fun, but the chance to win in this game is far than a poker game.
7551  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Chipmixer to Electrum private key import issue on: September 09, 2018, 10:19:44 PM
I was given vouchers by chipmixer as they ran out of chips recently so when I finally withdrew chips and imported the private keys to electrum the vouchers I used cannot be re used to view the keys.. so hopefully these used voucher references can be traced with chipmixer.

Thanks
Your problem looks the same as x31337 post from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935098.msg42946742#msg42946742
If you are done importing the private key to electrum and restart without saving the private key I think the voucher code can't be re-used again, but you can request a new voucher again.
7552  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: QR Code replacement scam on: September 07, 2018, 08:53:27 PM
Scam … we’re simply using the API of the Mycelium to receive payments from our users, and we had a serious Problem
The user paid $1000 for a service, the API reported that paid, activate bo system, but where was the $1000?

Nobody knows, on our portfolio registered does not appear. 2 days already I’ve forwarded 6 emails and no answer. Not to mention that the bitcoin is in Fall and lost more than 10% of value if we responded and sent.

Don’t trust on the API and in the wallet of the mycelium, already had other uncomfortable and doesn’t work properly.
Without support.
I think it's much better if you make your own thread to discuss this.

Are you talking about mycelium gear? And where did you get the API code?

You must follow their guide from here Payment Gateway

The reason that's why I'm asking about where you get the API code it's because I found few posted here in the forum with ready-made mycelium payment gateway on GitHub which I think fake. So beware of using a fake API code.
7553  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Server issues when running both GPU and asic miners on: September 07, 2018, 07:26:47 PM
Im not sure. The GPU miners have never changed there IP's. BUT the Antminers have been changing every time I upload the new firmware on them or rebot them.

Are you sure that your s9 miner is set to DHCP?

Check this image below.

If still persist try to reset(default) your router or ISP, And maybe your router is in static IP.
7554  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Why is this S9 only hashing 0.5th? on: September 07, 2018, 12:01:15 AM
I am not sure where you got this information but it is not true. S9s dont downclock they just shut off when they get too hot.

Also, they dont shut off until much higher than 80c.

Honestly, I just found that idea from the blog posts before and I am trying to find it somewhere, but I can't find it.

tim-bc might be right it is a power issue/PSU issue or it may be a damaged hashing board (damaged chips) can be also the cause of hashrate dropped. But according to the image, it looks like the hashboard is working fine so PSU might be the cause of the drop hashrate.
7555  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [COINOMI] Alert!! Lost all my coins!! on: September 06, 2018, 11:29:32 PM

Please always check the date:
[~snip~]

This topic about coinomi have been buried before you posted, now it's on the first page again.
I think old issues was completely solved.

I am using Coinomi wallet and until now never had any bad experience yet. So, I think the OP problem can be solved soon as he knows how to use the resync feature of Coinomi wallet. I experienced the same thing before if you can follow the guide from @HCP it should be work or simply use the resynchronize button, you can find this button at the right top of the screen the button looks 3 dots just touch it and you will find the resynchronize button.

Also, make sure that the Coinomi wallet is updated to the latest version before you follow the guides above.
7556  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Server issues when running both GPU and asic miners on: September 06, 2018, 07:25:06 PM
If your GPU miner running with windows OS you can change the IP manually by going to network and internet from control panel then find the change adapter settings and right click the "local area connection" then choose properties. Now, look for internet protocol version 4 (TCP/iPv4) then properties after that click the "use the following IP address" now you can put the IP address manually.

Sample if your ISP Ip or default gateway IP is 192.168.1.1 you can put 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.20 (the IP depends on how many devices connected in the router) you put 192.168.1.14 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1

then DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 then save.

You can check your local default IP via command prompt (cmd).

follow this guide ---> open CMD then type "ipconfig" without quotes now it will shows the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway that you can use from the above method.

After you follow the guide above your GPU miner and ASIC should run properly without IP conflict.
7557  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Wallet App Error on: September 04, 2018, 06:56:42 PM
[~snip~]
Yes, I already reboot my ISP and still the same. Btw what VPN would you recommend, I'm not comfortable using those free VPNs actually.

[Edit] I used some VPN named Thunder VPN, but still, the same error prompts.

Can you try changing DNS to OpenDNS? dns1: 208.67.222.222 dns2: 208.67.220.220

If you can access your router you can try changing your DNS to opendns it might solve your issue.

If it still doesn't solve the issue may be the latest version of blockchain wallet app is the issue.

Some blockchain user experienced different error according to some reviews from playstore. So, I guess the latest version has some bugs that you must report directly to the blockchain support. So that they can fix the issue as soon as possible.
7558  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Wallet App Error on: September 04, 2018, 04:04:37 PM
No, I'm not using any VPN.

And regarding to the article, I'm okay with the number 1-3, and since I don't install any anti-virus mentioned in number 4 the thing is I just don't want to reset my phone now. Actually, this is the first time happened after I update the app and it works before.

Hmm... Somethings strange I already did clear data, tried to login with the scan pairing code recover using my 12-words but still, I get the error. And my phone is not rooted.

Have you tried to test it on the other mobile phones? And maybe your phone system files are corrupted.

If you test it on the other mobile phone and it works fine then it is not from blockchain issue.

To solve this, you should reprogram your phone or do a hard reset. Also, before you do this try to reboot your ISP first and test.
7559  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia down ?? on: September 04, 2018, 03:49:30 PM
The checking site I listed still reports:

Quote
Cryptopia.co.nz is DOWN for everyone.
It is not just you. The server is not responding...

http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/cryptopia.co.nz.html

Tried multiple computers, mobile phones, tablets and OS's .. all won't connect.

It might be your ISP is blocking cryptopia exchange that is why you can't access the site or your IP is blacklisted on cryptopia.

Try to use a VPN it should be work because on my part I can access the site without any error.
7560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nicehash Returns 60% of Coins Stolen in the Hack on: September 04, 2018, 12:00:49 AM
Nicehash they are awesome in mining field even the they doing service on cloud mining side. I see that they are really best on cloud side I was mining on the nicehash around the 6 months and more for mining ethereum algorithms.

They are really awesome on the mining and really much appreciated the NiceHash team for the reimbursement.

I don't trust Nicehash anymore because I'm mining on nicehash before and never receive any refund even I mined small amount they should return what amount that I have.

I am a member of some mining group in FB and most miners use nicehash because it's easy to set up, but most of them telling that they don't receive their refund. So, I don't think it's a good idea to trust their service again even some miner telling that they were already received the refunded amount I don't still trust them.

Mining with your own rig is much better option because you can receive mining coins directly to your wallet. You just need to learn how to set up and connect your miner directly to the pool. Cloud mining from nicehash is not a better option even you have a good experience it's still better to have your own miner because they were hacked before and there is a possibility that they can be hacked again.
