7581  Economy / Services / Re: Website Preview: BITADS.NET. Now Pay-Per-Day! on: September 02, 2013, 08:40:01 AM
Withdrawals paid out. Only a couple are remaining as I had to top up the bitads inputs.io account and I'm waiting on confirmations. I will have them out as soon as they confirm (UPDATE: All withdrawals processed). I'll activate instant withdrawals tomorrow Smiley

XCUBE7 (or icecube) lost money on bitvegas claiming someone else may have used his Minecraft account.
The money was gambled away on the games but he claims it was not him that did this. Unfortunately I cannot refund due to claims of other people using your account as I no way of determining legitimate claims for illegitimate.

BitVegas handles 100's of BTC and there is no way the business could survive by stealing small amounts from players as it's reputation would be gone in an instant. Also, this works both ways. There is no way I could refund a player for "someone else using there Minecraft account" without getting lots of requests to withdraw for this same thing every time a player lost his BTC at the casino.

With the automatic withdrawals, is there any possibility of adding a system where we can withdraw after hitting a threshold as well (ex. someone can set it for 0.1 BTC or whatever and have the system automatically pay out every time it gets there)?

Hey guys, Devcoin is past block 104000. My first devtome payment will be in this round 26 payments. When is the usual payout time for devtome?

There is no "payout time". Each block sends out 90% of its minted coins to people on the recipients list. So where you are on the list determines which block will be one in which you are the recipient or one of the recipients that block, and it keeps looping through the list if there are not as many entries on the list as there are blocks in the 4000 block span of time the list is about.

Used to be you'd thus get some coins daily, but if there happen to be 4000 shares this month each would only get paid out once during the month.

Was nicer when there were way less than 4000 shares as, for example, if there are 400 shares each would end up being paid ten times in order to fill out the month of 4000 blocks of payouts to share out.

Yeah, I view the system as kind of flawed in this perspective. For each new person we bring on board, our earnings decrease. It's counter-productive to recruit because of that. For example:

We each write 1k words. We have 10 people. Each share is then 10% of the total (18m).
We each write 1k words. We brought on 10 more people. Each share is then 5% of the total (9m).

The more people we bring on, the more work it takes each person in order to keep equal with their past earnings, :p.
7583  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPS hosting & Webhosting evalutation thread‏. Evaluate your host here! on: September 01, 2013, 08:18:02 AM
Few questions regarding the list:

1) Can we list our own hosting? Ie. those that we run ourselves?
2) Are only those that accept Bitcoin allowed, or any?
3) Are affiliate links allowed with our review/posting as well?

For POS do you have to keep your client operating 24/7? What if you miss a day? Do you lose 1 day worth of POS rewards?

If you were to close the coin client to say, play a game or do college classes would you lose the POS?

It's based on coin-days, which are based on when the coins were sent to a client. For example, if I sent you 365 coins today and you never even had a client to sync and see that you had them, but you then opened it in 10 days, you would have 10 coin years (365 coins * 10 days) you could collect interest on. If you waited 100 days you'd have 100 coin years you could collect on.

So really it doesn't matter how long you wait before you open your client/leave it running, so long as the maximum PoS coin interest hasn't been accrued by the entire network yet (which, IIRC, will take many years).
7585  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: GET FREE BITCOIN, no catch FREE bitcoin Faucet! on: September 01, 2013, 12:39:26 AM
Just a bitcoin faucet I made

http://bitcoinfaucet.webs.com

It is using free hosting and domain, oh, no funding :/
I feel it is necessary to give everyone (newcomers especially) a jumpstart in bitcoin, this faucet won't give you a load, but It'll give you more than most other faucets.  You will be paid once we reach 100 submissions (blockchain currently down, waiting for that)  If ANYONE has a bit of bitcoin to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.

Donate to: http://bitcoinfaucet.webs.com/donate

Anyways, come to the faucet, I might add some games and jackpots or something, will all be free. Enjoy!

Hey, if you add some type of timer (ie. you can collect every hour/day/etc.) I'll add it to the rotator.

Guessing it might need a bit more traffic before that happens but let me know if you end up converting!

Exactly.  This is more of a beta, once it stabilizes, I'll make it more like a faucet, with timers and all that.

Sounds perfect! I'll keep up with this thread, Smiley.

Are all payments sent out manually right now by the way? Like when all 100 have submitted are you having to go through and pay each one?

At the mo' Not exactly the best coder.  I actually have no idea how to like, integrate API with bitcoin.  If anyone would be willing to help?
And I would appreciate it if you could put my faucet up now...  Unless I'm missing some sort of requirement?

The issue is without a time-based setup, I can't keep up with how long it'll be before it's time again. The same issue goes to the only Devcoin faucet there is (it's based on 30 submissions, which could be as few as 5 minutes or as long as a few days).

The only way I'd be able to add it now is if you have a certain time frame in which if submissions are x time apart you'd accept multiples. The feathercoop (Feathercoin) faucet that's in the rotator is like that. It goes on for a week, but the owner will allow a submission every 24 hours and multiplies each person's payout by how many submissions they made. In that case, I set it up to run every 24 hours.

60 million DVC bought up today, price down to 34 sat. I have the feeling we're going to see a pump soon...

7589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm a newbie. So, any way to make a little money? on: August 31, 2013, 04:30:57 PM

The faucet rotator is better and much faster and easier to use. No having to go from site to site; just click "next" and it's all handled for you.
7590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just how legitimate are these BTC/LTC 'faucets'? on: August 31, 2013, 04:27:46 PM
Which faucet websites are most legitimate? Even if they won't give a lot of bitcoin, would be nice to see a little bit to play with.

Use the faucet rotator. It's kept pruned pretty well and it will keep up with all the timers for you automatically.
7591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][LTC] Online Litecoin wallet - LTC-Wallet.com on: August 31, 2013, 04:25:52 PM
I knew why is better to install LTC wallet to my laptop rather than believe shits like this. Cheesy 12% interests. omg Cheesy

They weren't offering interest until later on in the service. Prior to that it was just a "safe online wallet." People who throw around this crap about how you can't believe the interest rates are ignorant. How can people have possibly fallen for an interest rate that never even existed when most people put their money into the service?

Version 1.2 released, which fixed a wallet sync issue and added checkpoints, please update.

Whoa, you're alive!

What's the plan to give this coin some value? As it is, it's almost worthless and continues to go down daily...

7594  Economy / Services / Re: Website Preview: BITADS.NET. Now Pay-Per-Day! on: August 29, 2013, 02:11:59 AM
Correct. And there was confusion in the past because it went from being set up per day to per hour and then back to per day again. So for people who joined in phase 2 (per hour), they are probably viewing the current costs as being the hourly costs instead of the daily ones.

And for people who haven't started yet, but have just heard here-and-there about bitads, it's totally unclear.

Thanks for clarifying.

No problem!
7595  Economy / Services / Re: Website Preview: BITADS.NET. Now Pay-Per-Day! on: August 29, 2013, 01:59:46 AM
It is actually pay-per-hour, it is simply displayed as pay-per-day for... eh... "Simplicity's sake." Or so I had thought.

So if I put 0.01 in "Minimum Bid", people have to pay at least 0.01 per hour?

No, it's like this:

Your bid is per day but is charged per hour.

IE. you bid 24 BTC. This is 24 BTC a day. Instead of charging 24 BTC up-front or at the end of the day, it does 1 BTC an hour. Essentially it's like a pro-rated system.

So, for the dummies: "Minimum Bid" on the Create Adspace page means "Minimum Bid per Day".

I'm starting to see why this network has not grown as quickly as it could have.

Why the hell would I tip you?  Because you are taking someone else's faucet?  You should remove the tip feature, if we want to tip we should tip it to the faucet's owner address, If you were smart you would have known that tips for faucets usually go back towards the faucet.  So unless you provide the faucet payouts, remove your address.

I didn't realize I was forcing you at gunpoint to tip or die. I apologize for somehow implying that was the case. As such, here is the official notice:

IF YOU DO NOT TIP YOUR LIFE WILL NOT BE IN DANGER. TIPPING IS COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY.

Better? Hopefully that makes it more clear since you're obviously confused.

You're safe. *pats on the head* Don't worry. Nobody will harm you.
7598  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Free BTC and FTC Faucet Rotator (More to Come) @ CryptoPlace! on: August 28, 2013, 08:14:48 PM
Your title is very misleading. Please change it to indicate you're not actually providing your own faucet.

Done!
7599  Economy / Service Announcements / Free BTC and FTC Faucet Rotator (More to Come) @ CryptoPlace! on: August 28, 2013, 07:32:33 PM
Hey all! I'm proud to finally take the next step towards releasing my faucet rotator. Some of you may already be familiar with CoinFaucets and FTCFaucets, my rotators for BTC and FTC, respectively. While I ran the rotators for well over a month, I got a lot of suggestions, comments, etc. from the community. As a result, the latest and greatest faucet rotator has been released! It has been released "under the radar" for a week or so now, but it's finally time to take it LIVE!

Link: The Ultimate Faucet Rotator.

Here are the features to look forward to!

  • A counter to tell how many faucets you have left -- no more guessing!
  • Support for any faucet type. Right now I'm supporting FTC and BTC but I'm all ears for others that get some community backing!
  • Clean interface; simply choose whether you want BTC or FTC, then hit up the faucets one by one while clicking the "Next" box. Due to concerns and confusion, I removed the wallet address storage.
  • Sites are organized with Inputs.io ones first!
  • The list of sites on cooldown is now organized with the one ending first at the beginning!

I'm also always open for new suggestions about features and such. Feel free to PM me here if you have anything!

As for things currently being looked into:

  • For some reason, the first BTC faucet always hits the listing twice when on Chrome... looking into why this happens -- for now, just skip it the second time

Let me know if there are any questions or concerns!

Also, feel free to donate (18SmszgJtJVPJXsL4W4T8DJRsKTfSB1US5)!

Thanks guys, Smiley.
