7584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Is Mass Bitcoin Adoption Still Not Happening? on: April 24, 2015, 06:09:13 PM
It has been 8 years since Bitcoin was introduced to the public by an individual who called himself as Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin is described as a peer-to-peer decentralized digital currency that can be transferred to someone without any involvement of banks and other financial entities.

Bitcoin became a very interesting option for giving mobile banking services to the people who doesn't have any banking information in underdeveloped countries in the world.

Read more: http://bitforum.info/t/why-bitcoin-mass-adoption-is-still-not-happening/830

In your own opinion what are the reasons why mass bitcoin adoption is still not happening right now?

1.- We are now 7,310,400,000 of people in the world there is not enough bitcoin for all.
2.- People will start using bitcoin when it change to a necessity rather than an extra.
3.- Bitcoin users are not spreading the word by the right way. Bitcoin is a complex topic and not for all, bitcoin is for smart people and for technological people. We need to make it look easy for all the users.
7585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Start a Gambling Site on: April 24, 2015, 06:03:28 PM
Is it still profitable to start a gambling site? Or is the market already saturated?
What do you think is the most profitable gambling site to create?

I think the bitcoin gambling market still "Green", bitcoin users need some new ideas and new games. Gambling now is like 70%Dice, 29%Poker and 1%others....

The most profitable gambling site can be, dice... and more if you have a fake fair system like 999dice, lol.

Other option is buy the slots game and open your casino.
7586  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Multiplayer bomberman clone on: April 22, 2015, 09:48:10 PM
Hey people, I've been working on a multiplayer game platform for a while, made my own web engine, graphics engine and a game engine.
(the idea is to make not gambling games but skill based games, (optionally winner takes bitcoin from other players))

first game implemented is bomberman.

this is a super alpha, can't play for btc yet, I'd like to see if people are interested, get some bug reports and play against someone Cheesy

http://battlecoin.org

new games will be built on top of this, bomberman is just a test.
and it supports multiple web servers (regions) so that everyone can have a low ping.

thanks!

Great project.

Is nice to found some creative and fun ways to gamble with bitcoin. Bomberman is a great oldschool game and this project have future.

Congrats again and thx for this nice game.

7589  Other / Meta / Re: How is forum activity calculated? on: April 21, 2015, 08:10:13 PM
I am wondering how the forum activity value is calculated? In my case the activity mostly equals the number of my forum posts. But I saw some users which had around 500 posts and an activity of about 200.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

Activity is updated every hour.

The new membergroup limits work like this:
GroupRequirement
Brand New0 posts
Newbie(none)
Jr. Memberactivity: 30
Memberactivity: 60
Full Memberactivity: 120
Sr. Memberactivity: 240
Hero Memberactivity: 480

I'm not 100% sure that the membergroups work correctly. Tell me if you see any bugs.

That is how it work.

16:00:08 boxxob: @BtcBoss south is clearly a noob
16:01:24 boxxob: @BtcBoss dont shit your pants again...

On what scale is this disrespecting someone south missed a lotto I called him a noob is that so bad you must ban me for 2 hoursss??? Am I really the worst guy in the chat? At this rate you will not be seeing me around talking anymore...

This is not the proper place for your complain about moderator , send your complain to community@luckyb.it

The mods don't listen, the mods always right. It would be left unnoticed.

Please take a look and tell me who is the one who don't listen.

I will replay you not as moderator or as luckybit staff, i will replay you from friend to friend. because you are a really cool guy Boxxob, but don't know what change in the past days.

Boxxob, my friend, you have an attitude problem, and i want to help you with this.

You got banned 12 hours ago for the same bad attitude, Jo ban you 24h, then he feels bad and give you another chance. and then i see these comments:

16:00:08 boxxob: @BtcBoss south is clearly a noob

As you know, south is an old user on luckybit, and if he was away when lotto say his name, is not a reason to call him "noob", he a luckybit user and he deserves respect as any other user.

And then you send this:

16:01:24 boxxob: @BtcBoss dont shit your pants again...

That comment disappoint me a lot my friend. I think a lot of answers for that, but as moderator i have to respect the users, and the best answer was:

Quote
16:02:14 [boxxob has been banned by BtcBoss, 2 hours]
16:02:44 BtcBoss: @boxxob man you need to respect other users on the chat
16:02:53 BtcBoss: commets as:
16:02:58 BtcBoss: 16:00:08 boxxob: @BtcBoss south is clearly a noob
16:03:02 BtcBoss: 16:01:24 boxxob: @BtcBoss dont shit your pants again...
16:03:13 BtcBoss: @boxxob are not cool

I ban you 2 hours, Maybe with that time you can take a breath and think about what was wrong, but now i see you use that free time to came to complain on the Forum.

Boxxob, this is about attitude, i don't know what is your problem, but if i can help you or if you need some one to talk let me know, because if you will keep acting that way you will only earn more bans.

All that i want is respect for Luckybit users, and for the staff. Come back after that ban, you will be welcome as always  Wink

7594  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I've just opened account on Localbitcoins.com and scammed 0.4 BTC ! on: April 21, 2015, 12:03:50 AM
Normally I don't use LocalBitcoins, 2 hours ago I opened account on LocalBitcoins and verified my account with SMS,Mail,ID. I wanted to sell bitcoin and it said if you want to create advertisement you must deposit at least 0.4 BTC.

Actually I wanted to try with 0.1 or less. Whatever I deposited 0.4 BTC and created advertisement. "stranenindivid " wanted to buy 0.4 BTC with 270 Turkish Lira.
He said that he paid money to escrow and I got mail from escrow@localbitcoins.com like this.

Hello dear xxxxx, We have got received payment 270.00 TRY and ready to send it to you. What do you need to do transfer successful? Release the coins and we will send you automatically 270.00 TRY to IBAN:TRxx
Best Regards, LocalBitcoins escrow !

Normally I search mail address on Google but I don't sleep almost 36 hours. (Why the fuck I opened account on LocalBitcoins in this situation, I don't know)
I checked my bank account but I think escrow will give my money on work hours. I released bitcoins and they're gone..He withdrawed bitcoins from LocalBitcoins immediately.

It was my first experience on LocalBitcoins, I am so sorry. I am student and 0.4 BTC is good money for me. Be careful guys..

I think as "Soros Shorts", the email you get must be a fake mail.

Why don't you contact support in that page? they must help you to recover your btc.

Why Governments Are Afraid Of Bitcoin

http://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/042015/why-governments-are-afraid-bitcoin.asp

Quote
Bitcoin claims that “It is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen.” That lack of central authority is the primary reason governments are afraid of the cryptocurrency. To understand this fear, it is important to know a little bit about governments and conventional currencies.

In What Do We Trust?

Fiat is a term used to describe the conventional currencies that are issued by governments. Fiat currencies have value because governments say that they do. To an increasing number of people, that promise means nothing. After all, fiat currencies are not backed by any tangible assets. You can’t return the currency to the government in exchange for a bar of gold or silver, a can of beans, a pack of cigarettes, or any other items that might have value to you. Fiat currencies are backed by the full faith and credit of the government that issued them and nothing more. If you want gold, silver, beans, or smokes you need to exchange your fiat currency with a person or entity that possesses the item that you want.

Don't buy it.

It sucks.

Play vice city instead.

It's pretty. And pretty unplayable. Gameplay feels sluggish as fuck. Vehicles feel slow and under-powered. The big rig feels like it has a golf cart engine in it. Sports cars drive like minivans.

Franklin has a superpower that alters the laws of physics when he drives instantly and forever breaking immersion.

I don't know if it's a bad game but I'm playing other games instead of it. I'm avoiding it.

My 5 cents to save you the trouble and money.

Play before buying.

Thx for share this, i will test the game before buy it. I was waiting a long time for this game, and its bad to see you get disappointed from it.

Will try it and will let you know what i think about it.
