How to sign a message?!that thread created by shorena explains the process in a very simple way. however it will only teach you how to sign from a normal address with 1 prefix (1c3DH...). not multisig address with 3 prefix (3c3DH...). also, you can't sign a message from an address that you don't control. like, say, addresses from a service/exchange. Thank you so much guys for providing the link, I will learn that way and apply it here. What is the difference between singlesig and multisig? Is this the right place to ask that? Well, it seems that using 1 prefix is beneficial. |

quoted just like you asked. but can you sign a message with it? read the post I quoted below very carefully. It is probably not a good idea to post a multisig address that you will potentially have to sign from in the future as signing "from" a multisig address (and verifying such signature) is somewhat of a complex process that most "average" users will not be able to understand.
Even if the above was not true, it is a very bad idea to be posting an address that belongs to some exchange as I can tell you with near 100% certainty that the exchange is not going to produce any kind of signed message from the keys associated with that address
