761  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: October 11, 2023, 02:25:09 AM
The support may not even come between $30-40k, and it may shock you to see that support come in at $29k. But the market price is really on the right track of getting to that $30k and above but I don't see it getting back to that $25k any time soon and I just hope the price continue to bump to at least $35k and that $40k is going to take a long while for Bitcoin price to get to that amount.
$30K is a price that Bitcoin is very close to reaching and it could also be possible for Bitcoin to move to $35K within the year, although it probably won't be stronger support as it will still take some time to exceed $35K. But $40K is a pretty logical price for anyone to expect, whether it's at the end of this year or early next year, but Bitcoin needs to be above $30K again within the next month for there to be a bit of a race to get to $35K before next year

If not for the poor performance of BTC price we had in recent months (this year) and shortage of time we have this year I believe $40k would have been the expected amount before the end of this year not $30k. Lke you know 2 months back was just sluggish in the market price, only if August and September was having this upward movement I think by now we would have been talking about $40-45k, but it never happened that way so let's see if it can get to $33k at least before November then $35k can be achieved in the market.

Or I would say that in the beginning of this year, we thought that $50k will be the bench mark price entering halving next year. But it's very different, after reaching $30k++, the price seems to be not moving up, and on the contrary, it just goes down and then we hit the sideway patterns.

So I guess at the end of the year, $30k should be the barrier that we need to break. And if ever we touch base that price, I would be happy even though I predicted that somewhere along the $40k-$50k is achievable.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always fight back on: October 11, 2023, 01:47:11 AM
Bitcoin shows already the possibilities and potential of it, now will depends on the people how they trust the Bitcoin people less interested with the bitcoin when the market is down but I guess it's a good opportunity to the people who trust it, this is the time for accumulate because halving is near, cutting the supply makes the bitcoin more valuable.
But take note that the bitcoin is volatile anything can happen but the bitcoin make a history already so it's up to you if you will trust it or not.

I think it has the trust of the people already, even government are into it, making it legal and there are some nations that fully support it, and then there are those in the middle and then those who doesn't want bitcoin because it gives so much power to their people.

However, for those of us who supports it, yeah, we've seen how the market is very volatile and yet we remain here because of the potential to make more money in the bull run. And we will enter that stage again next year, so it's going to be very exciting once again.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2023, 01:21:24 AM
I don’t know who at ESPN is doing their NBA rankings and predictions but I wish I could bet against them. After the horrible take on the Bucks upcoming season, they’re now saying that Zion Williamson is the 57th best player in the NBA. I could maybe see calling him the 20th, but 57th? If he plays in even 50 games this year he’ll likely be an MVP candidate…

I don't agree with the idea that Zion Williamson should be ranked higher like 20th. That 57th place is reasonable. The ESPN rankings might be considering on different factors such as player limited experience and injury history might explain his current ranking. Let's see how his career develops over time. We haven't seen him play like Anthony Davis, who was recognized in the top 20 last year.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/38549013/nbarank-2023-best-players-2023-24-100-51

I usually don't trust ESPN rankings though, in the years before they seems to be biased with other players. Zion is overrated as we have seen already. And then with his history of injuries, I doubt that he can even be in the same breath as other great players in the past.

If he can bring his team to the finals then maybe I will change my stance. But his name even floats on the trading block this year. So I wouldn't be surprised if he will be traded if he can't play 100% healthy this season.
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin October Month Performance on: October 10, 2023, 02:01:31 AM
-snip-
A bitcoin halving slightly lower interest rates and mining support could further boost bitcoin prices next year. Since bitcoin usually drives the crypto market this will likely lead to a typical bull run. Prices of cryptocurrencies will reach their highest levels. Millions of investors may soon be looking at their first crypto bull run and it could come as early as 2024 if not October. Bitcoin price may rise to its all-time high It has gone through that resistance and the coin will rise and reach a new ATH.
So far I have found quite a lot of people who are optimistic that 2025 will be the best year for bitcoin. But that's a discussion that should concern long-term investments - but for a relatively short period of time such as a monthly period, then I think it will vary.

Since entering October - bitcoin price has tended to test a good resistance level at $28k. Although it is still difficult to expect it to be strong support - but in the first week $28k was touched 2x. There are high hopes of $28k becoming strong as bitcoin's new support during this month - but we need to see trader panic lower.

Of course, that's one way to view it, short or long term, just like in trading as well, we have day traders who just wanted to squeeze some profits daily and then those who wait before they sell.

So for sure term discussion or at least for this year, $30k could be the best price, $40k will be a surprised.

As for the next bull run, yeah 2025 could be the biggest as we are anticipating a 6 digit figure as our new all time high.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 10, 2023, 12:56:35 AM
This Filipina did not even expect she won the grand prize on lottery instead she thought of winning just consolation prizes. Lucky for her she had that financial stability for 25 years as $6,670+ a month here in the Philippines is pretty huge.

https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/pinoyabroad/content/882861/pinay-wins-over-p387-000-a-month-for-25-years-in-emirates-draw/story/

I am not lucky in lottery or any gambling casinos but way back in 2017 the only luck I encountered was I gambled with the risk of joining bounty hunting on this forum and it is worth it.

How about you guys, are you having a good fortune on your gambling career? Do you ever think of quitting after you won a jackpot?

If the women is not a real gambler, I mean he just wanted to this her luck on lottery and won then it's good for her. So she will be good for the rest of her life and probably his family too. However, not sure why she didn't get the lump sum? In any case if that amount in dollars is big already in the Philippines, then she can't complain.

As for those gamblers that I know who won big in land base casino, believed it or not, after their huge win, they are going back to the floor in the next 24 floors. So there's no quitting for this kind of gamblers as they are not satisfied how big their winnings is. They just want to play over and over again.
766  Other / Meta / Re: harizen - ban appeal on: October 08, 2023, 12:33:11 AM
Damn that sucks OP. Imagine one day logging in and in the last few hours a lot has happened... Account got hacked, post some malware and got banned by the mods. I think I have seen some other user in kind of situation before. His appeal fell on deaf ears/ or blind eyes.
I hope you manage to recover your account, OP.

Just out of curiosity, is there any member in a similar situation who has ever managed to recover his account and get unbanned?

Yes, there is one, My Account - LogitechMouse has been hacked and locked.

Similar in nature, hacker didn't change the password, but instead posted some malicious links and someone caught it, reported his account and the recovery team was able to get it back for him.

Just scary though, I mean I thought that this hacking of accounts here has been reduced since the introduction of merits as it's useless to hack someone and used or sell it. But the criminals have evolved as well, not to change the password as not to aroused suspicions and instead try to PM or create a thread that has some malware on it.
767  Economy / Speculation / Re: $31450 proves too strong for Buyers, but Sellers may only dominate below $29400 on: October 07, 2023, 06:56:36 AM
^^ We will see, there's a lot of movement right now, and we might hit $28k or already hit that price. If we did and there is a strong volume, then we should be maintaining that price this October.

And so with this kind of pump, October is really good for us, I mean in the last six months all we have seen is sideways so we need more action, more volume and hopefully that $30k can be broken again or at least we will be in that price range once we hit December. Short term, it looks like we might be on some sort of short rally before the halving.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 07, 2023, 06:05:40 AM
Researching Casimero and I saw this.
Checked Stake.com and the odds are still not available although at outrights the other fights like Francis Nganou versus Tyson Fury are already available even though it is set for October 29th.
I think for the Filipinos who like to put their bets, we will need to wait until Wednesday or earlier before the odds will come out.
I really like to bet for me and I wish the odds would come out as early as possible in my favorite sports bookie. But let's understand, it's not like this will be a popular fight which is why it's not yet posted in other bookies. Still I will watch this fight and support Casimero because I want him to get the higher ranks and have a chance against Inoue someday.

Yes, that's what we have been saying, this kind of fights, in the lower division, most of the time the sport bookies are very late to list the odds until the last minute of the fight. So all we can do is wait or at least someone will tell us here that the odds have been released so that we can bet.

And with that, we could only wait and if we wasn't able to put the bet on time, then so be it. But at least we can only hope that Casimero can win this fight and with a KO victory so that Inoue will likely be interested in fighting him.
769  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX founder projects $750,000 to $1 million #Bitcoin price by 2026 on: October 07, 2023, 02:51:17 AM
Since 2021, I have no longer taken these predictions seriously because they are statements that people circulate due to their strangeness, but they are not based on any logical basis, mathematical analysis, technical analysis or prediction of price movement. They are just statements that appear first because they are controversial, just as many people do by saying strange opinions to stir up controversy and get people talking about them.

If we reach the price of 200 thousand, it will be a miracle, not a million.

That's fine mate, we should really take those predictions with a grain of salt, not seriously because those people that are making this predictions could have some narrative behind why they say that this X amount = 1 BTC in the future.

So we will let it slide, but then again, we should also extrapolate the data and can make our own predictions and see if it will be hit in the future or not.

My point is that there's nothing wrong with making predictions here, so it can be a success or failure, we really don't know until we crossed the bridge
770  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are becoming a billionaire in 2025,buying a large ship should not be goal on: October 07, 2023, 02:37:42 AM
Let me tell you one thing that you should know, there will never be equal resources and equal wealth for everyone in the world, there will always be different financial classes in which people will be categorized because the world isn't fair for everyone, there are different faiths for different people, and that's why, we shouldn't dream of seeing a world where everyone will have wealth and everyone will have the same resources available for them.

You also can't dictate the billionaires to start doing good deeds just because they have a lot of money, they have that money because they have worked for it, and they will do their fair share of deeds that they think they should and we can't really go around and teach humanity to billionaires and tell them how they can help make the world a better place, they basically don't care about all this shit.

Pretty much part of why they don't care.

other reasons are feeding the poor makes more poor as they get healthy enough to have more kids.

If you look at the current world setup up the ten richest in the world could not fix the issues if they spent 90% of their money to fix it.

Yes, even if those billionaires spend their money, they couldn't fix the world issues like food shortage and others, that's how it is. Maybe they have some philanthropy like Bill and Melinda Gates, but it's not enough.

I understand what the OP wants to accomplished here, but then again, it's not going to be solved in just a decaded or even centuries, it will take hundreds and hundreds of years to see the world eradicating food problems and others.
771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: October 06, 2023, 07:46:28 AM
No, we are not on a crypto bull run at right now. Because the price of Bitcoin has been around 30k for quite meny time and this 30k cannot break any way. Rather it is going down. Howover we are not on a crypto bull run now but we are going to see a big crypto bull run after some time. So that 30k not 40k not 50k not, it like 100k will break the level and create a very big ATH.
Although we are not in a bull run at the moment, we can expect to be in this state very soon. The price of Bitcoin has not increased much this year but has remained stable. As we have noticed that Bitcoin has not been able to go above $30,000 in this new year, but it has always gone down and back to that position. We won't compare BTC to a bull run until we see a change in the Bitcoin market. Since we have a big halving ahead of us, we are trying to expect big things from Bitcoin. We are not in a bull run now, but we will see a bull run very soon, when the bitcoin halving happens. When the market starts bullish, Bitcoin will break all its past records and make new history when the price of Bitcoin will exceed $100,000.

We still have a lot of months to go mate before we can see the bull run or see a big increased and rally. It all depends on the block halving and it is scheduled on March if I'm not mistaken.

So that is 6 full months to go, half a year so for me it's a long way to go. So what we can do right now is to just sit back and maybe we can just continue to accumulate as much BTC and prepare for the eventual bull run and yeah, if everything will go as plan then we might see bitcoin exceeding $100,000.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: October 06, 2023, 06:23:56 AM
Spence and Crawford fighting at 154 is not an issue. Spence complained about 147. Crawford also admitted he had a hard time making it. They're both looking forward to be at 154 in their next fights. They'll debut in that division together. It's certainly not an issue if there isn't any belt on the line. It's their first time.

I also don't think Crawford is avoiding Charlo. Who is Charlo, after all? The boxer who could barely win a round against Canelo? If I were Crawford, I'd rather go straight to Canelo after defeating Spence in a rematch.

A rematch with Spence sounds like a good move for Crawford. It'll give him a chance to really test the waters in this new division. If he can beat Spence again, it'll definitely fuel speculation that Crawford can continue to shine as he climbs the ranks.

Not sure if this is good moved by Spence, but if it is going to be 154 lbs, yeah, we will see if Crawford can still beat Spence the way he did it at 147 lbs. So if it's a dominating fashion again, no doubt he could be one of the best in this era.

Now, thinking about a fight against Canelo is intriguing. People might lean towards Canelo, especially since Crawford's not in his natural weight class yet. But you know, in boxing, anything can happen, and maybe those of us who think he'll struggle will be proven wrong. I think he should take it one step at a time, not rush into any decisions. That time will come eventually.

Now this is a fight that is really intruiging as you have said, Charlo try to do it, climbing from 154 lbs to 168 lbs and fight Canelo and failed. And it's not even close as he just want to survived in that fight. So what's more for Crawford from 147 lbs to super middleweight, it's not going to be easy for him.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today in history: The first recorded Bitcoin exchange went live on: October 06, 2023, 03:02:45 AM
Not that I am interested very much with that exchange but I have a question, Is it still running up until now?. If it is then I think that's the oldest and running exchange until now just like freebitco.in. I don't know about their forum account though but as I have seen it where it is already inactive for a long time which is on december 5, 2012. So many things have happened in Bitcoin history like the price before compared to price today.

Obviously, it's not running anymore as far as I know. And for sure if we can go back in time and buy $1.00 = 1,309.03 BTC then we will do it.

The thing with Bitcoin is that everything is recorded in our community, so that we can see how it really evolved since the inception and we can only wish that we are one of those early adopters so that in just a span of a decade or more, we can simply be a crypto millionaire. However, it's not too late for us, we can still accumulate any amounts that could translate into profits in the next decade or so.
774  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Used Cracked Windows 10 Activated on: October 06, 2023, 02:22:32 AM
I Used Cracked Windows 10 Activated (download from internet) on my laptop, and installed Electrum wallet.

Not the best thing to do as everyone here is preaching that you shouldn't download any crack softwares from the internet, specially Windows.
Is my wallet safe?

is there a spy on the cracked windows?
how do know that Cracked didn't inject malware and spyware, and send the data from my laptop to their server?

Maybe you can ran AV, and detect that there is malware or spyware. However, not all AV can detect a newly design or a variant of a recent malware or spyware. So you don't know if there is one in your system until it's too late.

So not sure what you are trying to proved here.
775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 05, 2023, 11:26:18 AM
This could be the start of the reverse trend, and Bitcoin needs to sustain this momentum or else another false breakout. Let’s continue to monitor the price trend because we might see more green candles this Month as most of the indicators are showing a great uptrend. If there’s more good news to support this then we can easily reach that $30k mark again.

That is the best question, we have twice or thrice reach $31k, but it seems that we can't have that sustainable run. It seems that short term speculators are making a sell in this price point, just to get some profits. So obviously, the price goes down hard again and then we goes on a another months of moving on a sideways pattern. But we can't do anything about it, I mean we are in the bear market so the chance of another great sustainable run is slim. Although if we look at bitcoin's past historical logs, October seems to be a good month and it might coincide with the technical analysis of the OP.
776  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35,000-$37,000 for Bitcoin in 2023 as my peaking barrier, is breakout feasible? on: October 05, 2023, 10:56:24 AM
I'm still optimistic that the market will be a bull run at the end of the year, even though this week there was a correction of more than 12% but the opportunity for a rise is very large because at the beginning of 2024 there will be a halving day, maybe this year the highest price that can be reached is around $45k. great opportunity to buy more while the prices are still low.
I've never been against the bullishness of Bitcoin in 2023, but I only maintain a view that it would be undermined no matter how hard it tries to climb. This has been happening in the first half of the year and I know that Bitcoin will continue to struggle in the hands of the Bulls and Bears, and by virtue will not breach the barrier of between $35,000-$37,000 as indicated in this thread.

We are still in the bear market this year, so I will assumed that it's hard for the price to get up and if I'm not mistaken, the biggest price jump we have is like $31k-$32k. So that is a big accomplishment already since our lowest low is $15,500 for this bear cycle.

Franky, I must say that I love the fact that you called a value, but to me, $40,000 is not feasible this year, not to mention your $45,000. Bitcoin is such a market that has more resistance ahead of it than support, they will not allow it to move so much, it's after halving that it might make some dangerous bullish movements almost totally unchallenged.

Again, the biggest mental challenge or psychological barrier that we are looking is $30k. If we can break it and then sustained that run, we might see something like $40k++ at the end of the year. But the problem is, that barrier is har to break, so maybe like short term, we should look at $28,500 first.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Decentralized Use Cases For BTC on: October 05, 2023, 10:28:00 AM
My apologies, I didn't listen to the podcast either. If I did, I might not be able to understand much of it anyway. But with how you present it, notwithstanding the emphasis on the word decentralized, it looks centralized. We've been there, done that. I don't know, but despite highlighting decentralization-- "decentralized use cases", "decentralized bridge", "decentralized exchange"-- it sounds to me exactly like those that came to the market before carrying the same label at the same time maintaining a single point of failure. This sounds like the decentralized finance and decentralized bridges that pestered the market heavily in the past, from which billions and billions were stolen. I hope I'm wrong.

This is also what crossed my mind when I read the subject and the post of the OP. "New Centralized" use case? what is that? Bitcoin is already good with it's centralized scheme already, no middle man in between, you control the fees you wait and that's it.

I don't think we need another later of like decentralized bridge as it makes bitcoin and blockchain more complicated to newbies. And just remember that the design was to used it as a payment method in the first place.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 05, 2023, 08:59:16 AM
Many are focusing about other things here, but they forgot the James Harden drama.
Just so we know, he's went to the training camp, played some drills, and even his coach said that he's good.
https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nba/james-harden-returns-to-philadelphia-76ers-training-camp-despite-his-trade-request
Quote
James Harden made his return to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday for training camp. He went through most of the drills. His new coach said he “looked good.”
I know, I know that he still wants to get traded, but he might realize in the next few weeks that no team wants him anymore. I hope nobody is a fan of die-hard fan of Harden here, and will say that "Yes there will be a team that wants him blah blah" because nobody wants him. He forced his way out of Houston, he also forced his way out of Brooklyn, now he's doing the same with Philly, and other teams knew this already. Add also the fact that he's on his last year of his contract, other team might lose him for nothing in return because he will already be a free agent after this season.

Harden left with no choice, but to play with the Sixers, or his value will decrease significantly. I hope he's attitude must change. Yes, he has been a big piece on Embiid's MVP, but if he will not change his attitude, he might be out of the league sooner than we expect. Attitude matters in the league, and we know that. Smiley

With this, I guess the Sixers have won the battle. Now, the 76ers are complete, and it's guaranteed that they will reach the playoffs. I'm happy with this development as I was expecting that we would again see a scenario like Simmons in the past where he sat out the entire season while waiting to get traded. Harden is still a superstar; it's just that maybe there's a need for the Sixers to improve, probably a good second unit is necessary as I find them struggling, especially when Embiid is sitting.

And it will be just odd if we see a image of video of James Harden though, just going back to the motions of going in the camp but didn't talk to his team mates or coach. Because it will be similar to Ben Simmons 2 years ago. If we will remember, there are video's of him in the training camp with his phones and just shows no interest whatsoever to train at all because he wanted to get out of the 76ers team that time and after wards he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.

He was vocal about his intention not to play with the team anymore. Now that he is back, hopefully, that will not affect his performance. He needs to stay professional and forget about the conflict with the top management. He is a pro; he should act like one.

I think there's more to it though. This is just the start and there could be more coming as I'm not that confident that Harden suddenly changes his heart and wanted to go back to the team after what he has said to the public specially against the owners.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 04, 2023, 01:17:57 PM
I agree that Honda isn't really a luxury brand, but I'd say it is good news. Maybe not so big, but we need some of that positivity.
Even if this was some small Chinese brand that I'll never buy, I'd be happy because this goes in the news and people read about it. IMO it's a matter of time before Tesla accepts it again.

I'm not saying that the news isn't good, but far from anyone needing to get too excited about it, because we see from past similar events that people are simply not interested in using Bitcoin as a means of payment. Such news has had almost no impact on the market before, and I doubt that it will have any impact now, either in the short term or even less in the long term.

In a year or maybe less, the news will appear that Honda has decided to remove that option, either because someone will suggest that Bitcoin is "harmful to the environment" or simply because no one will use that payment method. It sounds pessimistic, but unfortunately it is the reality.

Even if that news is quiet not creating any hype still its good since its can be consider as another greats step towards huge adoption. Honda is big company so most provably the cryptocurrency acceptance they have done will create some noise to those crypto mentioned and high chance that other competitors will look at it then add this as their accepted currency. We shouldn't always look at the price impact since what Honda do can affect good for bitcoin and Ethereum for long term.

Yeah, it's going to be a slow phase though, but someone has to start somewhere, and it's good that Honda started this trend. And maybe when we are in a bull run, there could be more going to accept Bitcoin and any other crypto for that matter.

We don't know what will happen to it yet and if bad times happen or no demand created towards their adoption then they might remove that but if there sales increase due to huge numbers of cryptocurrency users pays using crypto then for sure they pursue this adoption.

We really don't know what the future will bring, so it's a wait and see moving forward. But we all know that Bitcoin is moving ahead, specially that we will have the halving next year. So it might create more hype and again, not just Honda, there could other sector as well who will adopt crypto as one of their payment methods.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: October 04, 2023, 12:55:47 PM
I went through the record of his opponent, and I find it very impressive.

After his first loss in 2019 against Adrian Estrella, he was already on a winning streak until May 2023. I find this impressive because all of his wins did not go to the judges' scorecards, meaning this boxer has power, which I think would really match Ryan Garcia.

Judging by his record and Ryan's, I expect that this fight is going to be a war, a toe-to-toe battle where only one man is left standing in the end. A KO is likely to happen, and as for who would win, I don't know, but most likely it's Ryan (hopefully).
Wow, that's an impressive record to be honest, he may not be known but likely he wants to be known and that's his job if he can take down Garcia. I know Garcia will be the favorite here but it's a tough job for Garcia as well in my opinion considering his lost to Davis would still have that effect on how he fights now. Well, I think Garcia may need to bounce back but I guess I'll favor with Duarte in this fight.
I hope the money they earned in that fight was able to help him recover from that big loss because it was reported that they made a significant amount of money, and the PPV numbers were impressive as well. So he is back now, trying to test himself again against a boxer who has power and could possibly KO him if Garcia does not give his full effort to train. This is a downgrade of an opponent on his part, but he lost against Davis, so he has to start over again.

Besides, he is only 25 years old, so he is still young to recover and be a champion again.

Correct, so far, his fight with Tank Davis was the biggest fight for this year, bigger than Crawford vs Spence and last weekend's Canelo vs Charlo. So I think Ryan is all set and good for his future and his family as he is making lots of money at his age.

And with this fight, he is the A-side, maybe $5 million guarantee for him and then a chance to redeem himself.

This is also 140 lbs, so he might stay here for good and fight other young champions like Teo Lopez who just won a belt here against Josh Taylor. And then the upcoming Prograis (champion) vs Devin Haney.
