761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash didn't payout today on: February 02, 2018, 10:42:52 PM
I am almost sure they are HODL'ing yesterday's altcoins before selling.   So far it's paying off because alt coins are going back up right now.   They figure what they are thinking "why sell at -30% when it will go up 30% the next day.. "

well, if the dip continues, they are fucked.

And that could very well be why they did not make the daily payout today, nor the 10% payback from the hack.  For all I know, their could be running on very thin margins right now...

You can get your 10% payout from the hack now.  It's live.
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash didn't payout today on: February 02, 2018, 10:41:24 PM
Of course they did not pay.  Just keep on prolonging everything because people flocked back to them when they came back up. They have committed to paying 10% back with no timeline on the rest. Ridiculous if you ask me. They could come back and say 10% per year for 10 years.  The only way to force them to pay is to stop using them till then start payouts.  What is there incentive to pay back in a timely manner if everyone keeps using them?
They don't give you payout timeframe estimates because they don't have the money to pay out, duh.
They need people to mine and pay them their high fees to accumulate enough to start paying back over time. Without enough miners they cannot commit to a timeline. Sounds pretty logical to me.

What are their fees?

How would you suggest mining with minimal fees? At a pool with fees? With a miner that has dev fees? To a wallet that has TX fees? To an exchange which will charge TX fees? Seems like a lot of fees? You like Fees? You tires of reading about fees?

Their fee is 2% if you're using the free daily cashout to coinbase avenue.  If your payout is sent to an external wallet, it's slightly higher.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: just bought a closed looped water cooled 1080ti, Will I need a new power supply? on: February 02, 2018, 10:39:03 PM
I got news for you. I run 4 liquid cooled cards and the intercoolers produce a ton of heat. Yes, the cards stay under 50C but the room will get very warm, very quickly.

Are you saying the radiator will make heat? My video card just has 2 tubes connected to a fan that's a radiator.

Also the room will be hot in the summer time to so what's your point about outside heat?

I'm so glad you finally got a gpu.  How long until you want another one?  Trying to figure out how long of a break we'll have from listening to you whine and bitch that gpus are out of stock or too expensive. Smiley

EVGA has a bunch online yesterday. Got some 1080 ti for $800

That comment wasn't aimed at you.  I was talking about the OP ... Lol.  Yeah I saw that EVGA had some, but every link I clicked on said you needed elite status.  I need to set that up tonight.  I'm not really dying for gpu's at the moment.  My small 24 gpu farm is enough for me right now, unless I can find some really good deals somewhere.

You have 24 gpus? Thats alot of daily income. Are  you paying your taxes?
If so how? I want 24 gpus but I don't want to be a tax evador

You should listen to the Crypto 101 podcast on taxes in the US that was put out a few days ago.  Lots of good info there, if you're curious.
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering,It just hit $9000 again. on: February 02, 2018, 10:36:24 PM
I saw that the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies are bumping exactly at the same time and it now reached $9000 in some hours.I hope this is the end of the crazy run with bitcoin price.
Still there's no way to determine if this run is going to end up soon. And you have seen the price before at good stage but after a couple of hours it went down and reached $7,800. There's nothing to worry about this blood bath that we're in. Invest in the tech and don't look at yourself with a getting rich quick scheme, bitcoin and alts shouldn't be treated that way. If you invested lower than the current support price, you're still fine but for investors who got in at $10,000 and above you need to calm down.
I see 4K! ... I see 4K! Lol.
Do you have a crystal ball?

Certainly not.  I was just making fun of all of these idiotic people who think that they do.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: February 02, 2018, 10:33:59 PM
MEtroid, how old are you? Did you ever go at school? From 13k to 7k is not 100%, from 13 to 0 is 100% Same with profit 100% means 100% which means ALL. I do see a point in your posts but please try to gain some very basic numerical skills!

I hope you read and understand the phrases I type cause if you don't understand what almost means then I can't help you with that.

Quote
that is almost 100%

This week was so much fun, I myself can't stop laughing at people buying gpus for 400% msrp hehe, I mean people are paying $1000 for a rx 580 where I live hehe and 3 weeks ago, it was $250 hehe. Given how profits are, those people are mostly getting $1.50 per day on eth and by my calculations 1000 / 1.50 = 666.66666666666 days hehe, that is almost 2 years hehe and by then gpu mining is dead and so are them hehe inside fabricated coffins hehe

Every time you post numbers your percentage over msrp that resellers are trying to get for gpu's gets higher and higher.  Lol ... But then I go look and you are always way off.  Now you've up'ed it to 400% which is pretty laughable.

I agree that reseller prices on gpu's are way too fucking high.  I also agree that no one should be buying gpu's at those prices and if they are, they are an idiot.  But please just admit that when you post numbers like 400% over msrp, you pretty much pull them out of your ass.  Lol ... If nothing else, you're good entertainment around here .

hey phil, are you concerned about the payout today? i see my wallet balance is there, but i am unable to withdraw. ive already read through other peoples post, and twitter etc etc but i put more value in your opinion.

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/34RV1eTFYKFcx5AqF5rJTPB7KCbv4hdYk7

one of my accounts, you can see the pending balance, but unable to withdraw on the wallet page. i use coinbase.

thanks

You can't withdraw it from your wallet because it isn't in your NH internal wallet.  It's still in the unpaid mining balance bucket.  Why? Who knows.

Is that the same bucket that NH charges 2% to transfer to their internal wallet where it can wait to get stolen by hackers? Asking for a friend...

Here's what they have been doing since they came back online after the hack ... Payout once daily to NH internal wallet.  They take their 2% ... And then you can transfer that to CoinBase for free.

They also give you the option of having it sent to an external wallet of your choice.  Not sure what the threshold or fee is for that.
767  Economy / Speculation / Re: why the market crashed ?! on: February 02, 2018, 08:41:26 PM
The golden period of 100X and 1000X profit finished , bcs there is many altcoins as rivals .
now we are in the cryptos usage period ,

the cryptos trade will be the same as Forex at near future .

I don't think it will be as boring as Forex in the near future.

Simple ... It crashed because people pulled money out of it.

Profitability is surely low but is it actually low?

We mine because we believe that in future the crypto we are mining will give us better returns. So mostly it is about holding for long enough that we gain whatever we set out to.

You really need to start thinking in terms of BTC / ETH /whatever you are holding instead of fiat if you want to mine/trade crypto tension free.

good point

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

this account makes 0.0099  btc a day  or 3.65 btc a year

If I mine and hold all that matters is the price of BTC 1 year from now.

But this gear is paid off fully
the power cost is zero as it is all run on solar energy

Thus I can mine and hold for an entire year. If I need to do that.

Because we all 'know' that a year from now most major coins will be priced higher than they are after this crash

Actually no one 'knows' that.  Not a single person in the world has that information.
775  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What must be discussed with an investor? on: February 02, 2018, 06:48:31 PM
My friend wants to put in $100k in the crypto market and says I will get 20% from the profit.

What ought to be discussed before agreeing to deal with him?

1. How is he going to buy BTC?
2. Where is he going to store them?
3. How much does the value of the purchase coin or token has to increase before selling and what portion to sell at the first pump?

What else is there?

4. Will he kill himself when his 100K is suddenly worth 50K?

Honestly, if your friend is putting 100K into crypto, why the fuck would you get 20%?  What the hell do you have to do with it?
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting CPU mining on: February 02, 2018, 04:04:49 PM

Wouldn't it be funny if on the very day that they were supposed to begin paying everyone back ... BAM!  They get hacked again ... Lol.  I mean it wouldn't be funny, but you know ... Funny.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash didn't payout today on: February 02, 2018, 03:37:13 PM
The OP is not talking about the re-payment of funds lost in the hack.  She is talking about the standard daily payout from the unpaid balance to the wallet.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who created bitcoin? on: February 02, 2018, 03:10:57 PM
Bitcoin is the first implementation of a concept called "cryptocurrency", which was first described in 1998 by Wei Dai on the cypherpunks mailing list, suggesting the idea of a new form of money that uses cryptography to control its creation and transactions, rather than a central authority. The first Bitcoin specification and proof of concept was published in 2009 in a cryptography mailing list by Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi left the project in late 2010 without revealing much about himself. The community has since grown exponentially with many developers working on Bitcoin.

Are you just trying to answer your own question, Mr. Wikipedia?  Lol ... Stop shit posting.
